Its been about 3 months since I had the worked done so I thought Id right a review now that I can say for sure how everything is working. I called Precision Doors for a garage door repair on one of my doors but also needed a new door for the other side. Since they gave me a good price on the second door. I purchased a new door and they waived the charges for the repair on the old door which was nice. John was punctual and informative and installation went smoothly. The garage door they repaired works great and my new door looks great and goes up and down nice and smooth. I had gotten a quote for the repair from another company and they wanted to charge me over $250 for the repair. Precision quoted under $80 which I thought was more reasonable and affordable. Johnny did an awesome job! My garage door’s spring snapped in the middle of the day right before I was getting ready to leave the house. Precision was able to have Johnny out to my house in under two hours. He was able to free my car for me first so I wouldn’t be late and completed the repair quickly for us. I never take the time to write a review but I wanted to take the time to give Precision Door Service one. After calling another garage door company that was very unhelpful and refused to come out and fix what needed to be done I had called Precision. Their reps answered the phone right away with a friendly voice and were ready to assist me with what I needed done. I was able to call and setup my appointment for 2 days out (my next available day). I was happy to get an appointment so soon because my schedule can be hectic. They quoted me a time window of when the technician would be there and when the day came I was called promptly right at the start of the time window. The technician got there within 15 minutes of calling and was very friendly even when he had to wait a few minutes because I was on my way back home. I showed the technician what went wrong, I confused him a little bit with how it happened but nevertheless knew exactly what needed to be fixed. He quoted me a very good price for what needed fixing and got right to work. Before I knew it I heard my garage door come alive again! My technician was Jeremy, he was very friendly and did an amazing job. I did have a slight issue with my billing however but I had called their customer service team and the issues was fixed right away. Excellent customer service, and an amazing team! Will only be going to them from now on for any garage service! Thank you!

Great price! Very quick to replace new cables. Also recommended I change rollers to nylon to avoid rust and extra friction. Will have them do that in a few months. Service tech called me to give me a very accurate time of arrival too. I will recommend this team!

I called late in the evening, was scheduled for the following day - to accommodate my schedule. Brandon called to tell me he would be on time - he was in fact early. He assessed my situation, provided me with options and quotes for those options. He gave me a time estimate of 30 - 40 minutes to fix it. Was done in 35 minutes and even provided me a coupon to use for the service. This is the second time I have used Precision and both times they have been outstanding.

Make sure you ask the questions they will not. I created a service call online- the Tech that booked the appointment was able to get the repair service to accommodate my schedule. I asked if the Service Tech will need to make multiple trips. I was told no- “the Service technician will bring all the parts necessary for repair.”Tech arrived on time - Took about 2 minutes and told me that he does not have the parts for the my particular garage door ( discontinued by manufacture). $65 to find this out..Next, I received a email from Buck -- if I was not 100% satisfied he would consider it a favor if I called to discuss it. I called twice ( 2 different days) and left my information each time. I never received a call back or email. Each time I called, the call lasted over 15 minutes while I waited. They may do good service, I don’t know, but if you need to call in to speak to someone you may not get any response. This all could have been avoided if the booking agent asked necessary questions.-- i.e what model garage door are you looking to repair.

Tom Kehoe came out, and as promised he was knowledgeable and walked me through my options to repair the garage door cables. Once a decision was made on what was going to be done, Tom quickly went to work and in no time had my door working smoothly. The lady who answered was very nice and was able to get me me an appointment the same day that I called. The gentleman (Johnny) who was my technician called me before he arrived and was one time. He was very polite and professional, and did a great job fixing what needed to be done and explaining everything to me. ADAM did my install today. My springs and cables were shot. I did also decide to get a new LIFTMASTER belt driven garage door opener. It is the 4th of July weekend and they did pick up the phone. We had a wonderful experience with Precision Door Service. We live in Schererville Indiana and Greg was outstanding. We live in a HOA community with strict guidelines. The door had to be replaced quickly and Greg did not have the specific door in stock but was able to put a door up until the correct door came in for installation. He could have charged us a couple of times for labor but only charged us once.Greg was honest and delivered exactly what was said to us until the job was complete. Our garage door cable broke last night, and I called Precision right away.Jason took my call and scheduled someone for service this morning. I have an old garage door opener & but be of the springs broke. Precision was able to come out that day & repair the door with a safer opening mechanism. It took them less time too than estimated. Would definitely recommend them & use them again!

2nd time (2nd house) Precision Door has come to the rescue, will never use another garage door company! Moved a couple months ago into a 15 year old house with original equipment. Door has been giving me intermittent issues and needless to say I’m a novice at self repair. Called precision, were able to squeeze me in the same day. Technician Bradley called ahead of time, was here exactly at the time he estimated, was extremely polite and professional.I had no idea what the problem was, Bradley took the time to troubleshoot and check all the wiring, and was able to find an easy (for him ha) fix that will extend my existing door and motor without a needless and expensive replacement. Adam was a true professional, i have a very old door and motor, he fixed the problem and told me of my options for any upgrading of which i know is coming. No pressure-selling and plenty of advise on maintenance.

My garage door was acting up so gave Precision a call. They were available same day and were on time for the appointment. After a quick diagnosis, Dan explained all my options for repair or replacement including warranty considerations. I decided to get a new belt driven opener. It was a quick and professional installation at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Precision.

I was very pleased with the service I received. One of the cables broke on my garage door, preventing it from closing. I saw great reviews for Precision Overhead Garage Door Service, so I called them at 9:15 am during a snowstorm, and a technician, Johnny Flores, came out only 2 hours later! Johnny checked my garage door, and, in addition to the 2 cables, he saw some other problems that he recommended fixing. I told him to go ahead, and he finished in an hour or so. The garage door worked much better and quieter than it did before. I’d definitely use them again!

We had an issue with our garage door. (Broken Spring)...Called Precision, Tom came out and was very knowledgeable, and repaired the door with ease..And just like that, we were back up and running again..Thanks Tom, and Precision.

Garage door would not open. Called Precision late in the day and scheduled a service call for the next morning. Adam was the service tech who inspected the garage door. Adam did a thorough safety inspection and afterward identified the primary problem of a broken spring and ancillary contributing factors. Adam was very honest about repair priorities and did not pressure my wife or myself . We decided to make several repairs which ended up costing significantly more than we had intended but decided it was a good investment for future safe garage door operation. Hopefully we wont need their services anytime soon in the future but should the need arise we will not hesitate to call Precision Door again.

I was impressed with the whole process of getting my door fixed. I called on a Saturday morning around 8:30, and everything was fixed by noon. The woman on the phone was friendly, professional, and efficient, and the tech who came out was all those things, too. The price was fair, and the tech showed and explained to me every little thing he was fixing and replacing and what it would cost. In addition to fixing a broken spring, he showed me all the parts of the system that had little cracks or showed wear and all the the parts that still looked fine, and explained a couple things that could be improved a little if I wanted but weren’t necessary to do, and exactly what those things would cost. I’m very pleased with the whole operation.

Had several broken hinges on my garage door. Called on Friday evening and was scheduled for next day. Arrived on time diagnosed the problem and got to work. Greg gave me may options and got to work. Took less than 10 minutes to change out all hinges and rollers. This is the second time they have been out. Dec 2019 installed new door opener. Greg did the work that time also. He is great and so is the company. Will use them again for any problems

I found my garage door broken after 2 pm on a Friday. By 5 pm, the technician was working on it, and by 6 pm, I had a fully functioning door. Tom K was exceedingly helpful. I would have given them zero stars but thats not an option.My 83 year old mother had an extension spring break on her garage door.She knew I was busy so she found Precision Door Service of Chicago on line and called them. They gave an over the phone estimate of $99 to repair and a $60 show up fee. I told her that sounded like a good price and go with it.The technician arrived last Thursday and after greeting her, told her he would look at the job and give her an estimate. He was courteous and professional looking.He presented her with pictures and a quote that had two options.Option #1 was his recommended repair. It was listed at a total price of $1093.He had a second, less recommended option that listed the total price at $904.75.She wisely recognized the scam that was taking place and told him she needed to talk to me and he should leave.The quotes were sent in an email. I had my mother forward it to me to ensure there was no confusion. I have the written quotes.Option #1 listed a total at the bottom of $1093. The line items only add up to $886. Theres a missing $207 there.Option #2 listed a total at the bottom of $904.75 The line items only add up to $442.90. Theres a missing $461.85 there.Last night I fixed the garage door spring myself. The spring and a pulley were less than $30 at my local hardware. They would have been less than $20 at Menards. It took me 35 minutes to complete.You judge for yourself, but it sure looks like they saw an elderly widow and thought they could sell her unnecessary hardware at very inflated prices. They hoped shed blindly say yes from a place of fear or lack of knowledge.Beware of this company.By all evidence here they appear to have little integrity.

I called on Christmas about our damaged garage door, was given an appointment the following day. Tom showed up at 11:30 parked in the alley, we met him and walked him into our garage to explain the issue. The initial quote was around $750.00, he mentioned a panel needing to be replaced. He then began to look again and said or we can keep the current panel and see what I can do to fix this. Another panel would have meant waiting until Monday or Tuesday for the part to come in. I need to get my truck to the dealership today, so not really an option to wait. Within roughly 2 hours Tom had our garage door back up and working flawlessly! I appreciate the extra care and attention to detail he provided. I 100% recommend Precision, they are professional and easy to work with!

Keith did a nice job fixing our broken torsion spring and updated our old spring mechanism in the process. He even did some minor carpentry to replace some woodwork that was coming apart where a new bracket was needed. Not cheap, but good work.
