I always try to buy locally, no matter where Ive lived and this Sears is no exception. My experiences have been much better in the past and the other reviews mentioning a management change is, I assume, the reason. The main problem I have is the customer service. With ecommerce being fairly common, the best weapon for a business like this is excellent customer service, beginning with a staff that knows something about the products they sell. This requires work but would definitely pay off. My more recent experiences, unfortunately with younger staff, have been that its up to me to figure out the difference between models or any history regarding what would work well. Having the staff read the blurb from the website regarding the appliance has been no help because Ive already researched a lot more than that. My best advice is go to the local Ace Hardware store and experience what knowledgeable help feels like. If they dont know the answer, they find someone who does. Adding additional information, as in ratings Consumer Reports or similar sites. could greatly help the customer make decisions. Having the customer not feel he/she is disturbing the sales associate by asking a question would be a great improvement. Basically customer service definitely needs to be focused on.
Really enjoy this store. Not only is the service impeccable and helpful, the layout of the store is easy to navigate and intuitive. Prices seem to be pretty competitive during sales also.
Cody was extremely helpful, stayed after hours with us and honored a mislabeled item. Great selection. Will definitely shop here again!
Great customer service and product selection! The online capability is very easy to use as well. Shop local!
Two less than positive experiences. There probably wont be three, even though I feel strongly about shopping locally.
The store is not open when hours posted say they are, there is no way to leave a message about request as their voicemail is full always with no indication that the number posted is even the stores number, and it has been super difficult (impossible currently as I dont have what I ordered) to pick up my order. Very frustrated and disappointed.
My husband and I have gone in there several times in the past few months looking for items for our new house. We went yesterday looking for a counter top microwave. There was a very limited selection but there was a display that was the size we wanted. The sales girl said the model was no longer available and when I asked if we could purchase the demo model she said it didnt work. I suggested she/management remove it from the display she said it was not her decision. What irked me the most was her cavalier attitude. Finally, it was aggravating that the prices were not posted, she didnt know them, and had to make 3 trips to the computer to get them.I wish Dave Pratt still ran the place.
Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with in my life, and Im normally never one to complain.
Terrible service, terrible prices, most of all terrible communication. The manager, Celeste does not know what shes doing and doesnt have any idea what is going on in that store.
Very helpful young man.
