I have mixed feelings about this Equator Coffee. The location is great and I enjoyed the relaxing, social vibe here, service wasn’t impeccable but at least reasonable on a busy Sunday morning.On the other hand, it’s definitely running over its capacity when I visited. There wasn’t a long line so I thought Id wait a few minutes for my latte but it turned out to be more than 15 minutes. Obviously people who were waiting were all over the place and sometimes orders were left un-picked up for a long time. Coffee was OK, unsurprisingly too hot but that’s just like most coffee shops in SF.

Coffee was great, but the rudest woman waited on us. Sad thing is I think she was a manager. Wont be going back.

Great COVID measures in place! Great place for a weekend morning pastry and coffee before a walk on the larkspur bike path!

It was extremely busy, long wait and they didnt have regular coffee... Normally I like going to an equator coffee as I like their regular brew coffee.

Fantastic mocha with perfectly steamed milk and just a hint of dark chocolate. Awesome every time.

They serve great coffee, and since pandemic response has started, the wait times have gone down by a lot (even though theyre serving a lot of traffic). There might be a lot of turnover with staff because 1 out of 4 times, the person at the register seems like theyre having a hard time with the menus and such. This is a great stopover for early cyclists on this route and there is plenty of space, visibility and racks for who want a bit of caffeine to boost the rest of their ride.

Great location and best coffee in bay area...but avoid PM after school traffic.

Hi- Love the basic cup of Joe, both decaf/caf...but having tried the chai tea latte several mornings, it tasted like flavored water? I did request less or no water, or more chai, no change to taste though, which should have that spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, delish flavors standing out in a hot cup order. I know this morning staff are super busy and getting out orders quickly for us, please take time to make the small changes we request and pay extra, we really truly appreciate this, and you!

Seriously good coffee. Excellent pastry.Had an outstanding cappuccino and twice baked almond croissant. People who worked there were efficient & friendly. The cafe was spotlessly clean. Loved the bicycling decor.

The staff is impolite. We ordered an almond croissant and asked to warm it up but it was cold and impossible to enjoy. We asked again but they refused.

Staff seemed bored and indifferent. Coffee was good but not great.

Everything was delicious. Frittata sandwich, doughnut holes, banana bread, yum, yum, yum. Its been a while since Ive had an Americano, and their Ethiopian Sidamo beans did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious, rich, full of flavor

Equator blend and Tigerwalk Espresso are my go-to’s but also impressive are their seasonal drinks & never too sweet!

Love the coffee but they run out of items constantly. They will charge you for items they dont have and try to substitute something else after youve waited 20 minutes. Disappointing

Perfectly placed for a cafe stop bike ride, high quality espresso drinks, usually some kind of delicious banana or zucchini bread, a water fountain for your bidon and theres a wc in the complex. Works if youre not booking too, I guess.

Oat milk iced lattes are great. Love they dont do straws and have compostable containers

A lovely little shop in downtown Larkspur. Their cold brew with some oat milk and a light amount of sweetener is excellent. If it werent for the ongoing situation with COVID19 I would recommend getting your coffee to go and sitting outside in beautiful outdoor area.

I usually never post reviews, but I felt so bad after visiting Equator today! I don’t know what happened to Equator in the past few months but it used to be one of my husband’s favorite breakfast place to go. On our most recent visit, the cashier was extremely rude and sassy towards us. 25 minutes after ordering, the frittata sandwich was half the size but the same price as before, the bread was burnt, and coffee order was also messed up. I understand the job since I have worked in the restaurant business and know some days are difficult, but the staff now seems to had changed and this is reflected negatively on the food and the service. Sorry Equator, I hope this can be addressed!

They got my order wrong. I asked to fix it but they got frustrated. I asked to see the manager. They redid the order but it was messy, coffee spilled all over. Getting the order wrong then retaliating is not ok.

Service was pleasant! The espresso in the cappuccino was smooth and there were quite a few pastry options including gluten free options. The drip coffee (Holiday Blend) was light and flavorful. The atmosphere is comfortable too!

If you visit Equator, I recommend trying the Matcha with oat milk! Super good! 5/5

Great coffee. Was a bit taken back today when guy pouring coffee jump another patron ahead of others. I guess a dollar tip per cup is not good enough.This gives me a chance of exploring for another go to coffee shop to replace equator

Equator is great for cyclists. The coffee is excellent for starters. Its located right on the main road through Larkspur. Theres a bike rack and a nice patio with amble outdoor seating and two clean bathrooms on premise. Also good for non-cyclists as well.

Coffee was really good, they made a great cappuccino. Seemed weird that they have no working outlets in the shop though and the one they pointed to outside didnt work either. Just havent encountered that before at a coffee shop.

Probably the best coffee around, but by far the worst ongoing customer experience with the employees that work there. A year ago I wouldve given this place a five-star review, but now each employee has an attitude of their own.

Equator coffee shops consistently pull an excellent shot of espresso and pair it with beautifully steamed milk. I always get the oat milk (vegan) which has both a phenomenal flavor and mouthfeel.

This is the road biker hang out spot when the weather is nice. There is not a large amount of indoor seating but the outdoor seating and atmosphere make up for that. Their dark roast was a little over cooked, but thats how i like it anyhow.

With Equator youre always assured of two things, really great coffee, and employees who never really seem to like the people who frequent their shops. Im not sure why, but no matter what location you go to, your being in the shop always seems like an inconvenience for the folks working behind the counter. With that said, the Larkspur store is a new location in a cute setting. Theres parking out back, a few seats insides and plenty of places to sit outside. Theres usually a small selection of pastries, donuts and in this location, ice cream sandwiches. Equator still offers the best coffee in Marin, so its a no brainer.

The roasted coffee Equator offers is fabulous. The staff on duty my last 2 trips made my poir overs right out of the book, no short cuts. The brewed coffee was spot on, the pastries they have are delicious. I dont know if Equator makes them brings them but thy are good. The service is very friendly and fairly rapid considering the steady flow of guests coming in all morning long. Equator has been recognized as being up there as far being one of the top roasters around the country. Quality coffee, great pour overs and Cortados and great service make this a must try.

Best vanilla latte ever. Its out of the way for me, but Ill be back regularly. Great employees and music as well!

For some reason, the coffee I get here is consistently bitter and the staff is unconcerned. The other locations are consistently better, not bitter, so I drive out of my way to go to those.

Great professional service. But more importantly was the great taste of the coffee I got. I live in Novato and wish there was an equator (hint hint) up in my area. Love the latte art. My barista made made me feel right at home. Wish it could be part of my morning routine. Its not stuffy like other third wave coffee companies. Very clean and no wait. Love the free wifi - password is greatcoffee no quotation. Restroom impeccable.
