Finally had a chance to stop by Bad Owl this morning. First thing that strikes you when you walk in is the decor and ambience - its very fun and relaxed and if youre any sort of Harry Potter fan, youll definitely appreciate the various nods to HP located throughout. The staff is pleasant and all I saw were positive interactions with customers. I placed an online order for pickup but it was a 20 minute wait so decided to kill time in the store. I didnt know Bad Owl had so many food items - and not the reheatable items at other coffee places. Theres a fairly large kitchen area and everything is made to order.I noticed a lot of customers coming in just to pick up food orders while a couple others were there having breakfast so thats a good sign for anything looking to grab a bite. We didnt order any food this time around but there are definitely a few items Id like to try. Will update in the future!
This coffee shop is a must visit! I have visited all of their locations and experience has been great every time.Loved the vibes as soon as I came in, low lighting and music made getting a coffee a pleasant and peaceful experience. If you are looking for a small quiet cafe and feel supporting local is important than I would highly recommend Bad Owl.Their coffee is high quality and their food is handmade. I love their butter brew latte and it is one of the best lattes in town and I have pretty much tried them all .They have rustic decor and very cool interior to take nice photos. The service is excellent and the staff is really friendly.Highly recommended!!!
Good food and great coffee and tea. Lots of different options for all types of diets. I come here at least once a week and have only encountered one problem with my food. Unfortunately I didnt have time to go back and let them know so I ate it. It was meant for my ill father who isnt able to eat one of the ingredients they forgot to remove like I asked
Very helpful staff! I tried the Kyoto Cold Brew. It was delicious and smooth
Ok no more waffles offered :( 😢But espresso & toasts were good.Service personnel’s are exemplary, very friendly / nice 👍🏻The inside however, the patrons, customers’ vibe felt weird like all eyes 👀(owls) on me as if they hate visitors/outsiders. I felt very unwelcomed to bother drinking or eating there. So yeah.. if you ARE visiting.. use drive thru. Much better experience!! 👍🏻 I tipped the girls eventhough to-go /drive-thrus you don’t need to.
While the menu is a little on the pricey side, it is worth it. The coffee they prepare is amazing. So is the Avocado toast. Their roasted coffee is delicious too.
Love their butter beer drink! Decor is also super cute and is Harry Potter themed.
We tried a small cappuccino and a small spanish latte. The small was REALLY small but quite good. The coffee was strong, flavorful but not bitter. There was no foam whatsoever but I attributed that to the small size. The Spanish latte was also quite good. The two drinks cost about $8.50, which seemed a little pricy to me but Ill probably be back.
Delicious double espresso. Extremely helpful and polite staff. Inviting and comfortable setting for conversation or reading a book.
Saw this place on tik tok so my family decided to visit on our vacation. We LOVED it! I got the butter brew with 1 shot, and avocado toast. Super delicious, probably the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was so charming, and all of the employees were super kind- my family’s LARGE order was made very fast! I am sure we will come back at least one more time before our vacation is up! :)
Everything I have had at this place has been amazing. It has a drive through, although it is slow. It took us 25 min to get through the drive through. The inside is wonderfully decorated. A very calm place to just sit and chill. There is handicap parking. Everything is made to order and is fresh. Their overnight oats are amazing. I highly recommend. If you are in a hurry, I wouldnt suggest this place.
Ordered a Spanish Latte - very good. This was on our way (sort of — going 3 miles south of the 215 “on our way”) so we picked up some breakfast. The prices for breakfast were off-putting. The avocado everything toast is $7 — one toast with thinly sliced avocado. It tastes very good but it should be about $5 or $5.50 at best. The croissant was $9 — and again, it’s overpriced by about $2. It being rather large and freshly prepared, At $7 with a $5 cup of coffee, I think $12 for breakfast is workable. Docking one-star solely for being overpriced. That said, the customer service is extremely polite and professional. The order took a long time, but we were the only car in the drive-thru this morning so no biggie. Otherwise, you might want to go in. I’d have lost my mind if I had ordered a coffee and had to wait this long for it behind a car that ordered food.
This has been a family favorite since we live nearby. amazing coffees, décor, and bites, which all justify the price tag. Most baristas we have encountered are absolutely charming, until recently I went in for a pickup order - she kept telling me she couldn’t hear me when I was using my indoor voice, I then raised my volume and was told again she couldn’t hear because she has “someone else speaking in my headpiece”. An absurd logic to me, even my 6yr nephew knows to either pause the music in headphones or take it off when he talks to people in person. Either she lacks fundamental decency, or she simply chose to be that rude. Either way it’s truly sad to start having bad experiences at one of our favorite roasters. perhaps rethink your hiring process Bad Owl.
Wow! Very impressed with this new location. I don’t live in Henderson but I had been tot he original Bad Owl a few times.I came here this morning and got a Iced Chai, Power Puck and a awesome breakfast burrito. The food and drink was great. Possibly the BEST ICED CHAI I’ve ever had.The guy at taking the order was very cool and polite and he delivered the drinks/food in a timely fashion.I’ll be back!!!
Delicious coffee roasted on site. Friendly staff. Tasty food options.
The ambiance was nice.place was clean and cozy. Staff friendly and cheerful. There was a room where you can watch them roast coffee so you know that the coffee they serve is fresh. We ordered a double espresso and it was a tad bitter than what we are used to.it was nicle presented. We also got a nitro brew with salty cream and it was smooth to the palate as nitro coffee should be but again it was not as drafty as am used to. Overall a good experience probably just not used to their coffee offerings .
Dont come here for wifi ☹☹☹Coffees good though
Ive been to this cafe before and both visits were pleasant. Coffee (blended mocha) was good, staff was friendly. On this 3rd visit, customer service was just about as warm as Antarctica. I ordered about $50 worth of drinks. This time, the mochas were so bitter, I could bare drink it. The people whom I got the drinks for they couldnt drink their mochas as well...they said they wont be going to this cafe to check it out. Too bad because I believe in supporting small businesses. I think I will go back to Dutch Bros. At least theyre friendly and drinks will definitely be good.
The place itself was clean and nicely decorated. The staff needs to practice some kindness, itll go a long way.
It was busy, had to wait for a table, but the food was delicious and the drinks were great!
Consistently good and courteous staff, definitely get the orange chiffon latte
They sure were bad.. Awful customer service. Such a disappointment.
Amazing espresso and latte flavors. We tried the Banana Cold Brew Latte, which tasted like banana bread, and the Biscoff Latte, which wasnt heavy in spice and actually tasted like cookies. Espresso has a nice deep acidity that balanced floral with smooth dark cocoa flavor. Very delicious.
I went through the drive thru around 11:20am and ordered orange juice, tea and Avocado toast. Waited a little bit in the drive thru and when I got to window she gave me my drinks after I paid. She then tells me to pull forward since its going to take a bit on the toast. So I parked out front and waited for 10 mins and got nothing. So I went inside to find out whats going on. She than tells me with a attitude they are working on it and walks away. In shock, that I still dont have my food and ended up waiting a total of 15 mins and had someone else handed me the bag.. I been at this place numerous times and always had great service until today. Not sure what happened here.
Trying to hard to be a Starbucks. Coffee really was gross, and 2 of us could not drink it as it upset our stomachs. Overpriced sandwich was good. Customer service was good. Would not return.
DOORDASH DRIVER: Slow atmosphere. Usually takes longer than expected. Sometimes you cant even get the employees to acknowledge your presence. Food & coffee is always correct.
I really loved the coffee and avocado toast, and the staff was nice. Two drinks and two orders of avocado toast will cost about $30.If you drive a nice car, youll get bothered for a tip for drive-through service. I am very generous and always tip well regardless of the service, but this is the first time Ive ever been asked to tip in a drive-through like that. I wasnt aware drive-through tips were a thing. They didnt ask me when I was driving a normal car, but it seemed like they expected it from me when diving a nicer car. I only started coming here because I wanted to support small businesses. Not a huge deal, but it was awkward. It was enough for me to not come back.
Ordered online because we had to place a big order and came to pick it up only to find that they havent even started it. So we ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes. They didnt even apologize. They even forgot to make one drink and we had to go back inside to get it. Didnt even compensate for our wait. Terrible!
Great 👍 experience, enjoy our coffee ☕ 😀
That Banana Cold Brew Latte is amazing! Great atmosphere! Great coffee! Great staff!
It a lovely, small and well decorated coffee shop. The Atmosphere is soft and magical and relaxing at the same time. If you love Harry Potter youll love it here. They brew coffee and they have different flavors and variation and I can guarantee you that you are not going to be disappointed. They also serve food !. Everyone is nice and caring...just like a coffee shop should be
Disappointed at this location, the staff was not very helpful and the coffee was..fine...
Big fan of Bad Owl.. I enjoy the waffle, lavender latte, the banana latte and the oat latte...Ive never been inside this location, we use the drive thru. Its always standard wait. No complaints there...Thankfully Ive never been told I needed to tip, and if I was I would decline simply for asking. The coffee isnt cheap and I tip for the good service- but if it was demanded Id also probably not return as that would ruin it for me. I hope they addressed these complaints.
I like the cortados, but the employ had no patient on my more elaborated coffee order, she was very rude.Good coffee bad service.
I enjoyed the atmosphere--it had a slight slight Harry Potter theme and all the purchasable bags of coffee were named after things from Harry Potter. I could easily stay here for a while working since it had such a relaxed feel. The baristas were helpful with recommendations--we ended up getting the speculoos latte and lavender white mocha latte which were flavorful and enjoyable.
Very cool coffee shop. Lots of different flavors and fresh roasted on site. The line may be long but worth the wait.
This place is so cute! The woman working behind the counter is so cheery and caring. Such a great latte and avocado toast. Also it’s low key Harry Potter themed which is so awesome 😂🤍. I’ll be back next time I’m in Vegas for sure!
Amazing coffee at this place and the Harry Potter esque theme is amazing
Good tasting coffee. Cute interior of the cafe. Pricing about the same as other coffeehouses. I like that they roast their own coffee. The drive through can be a little slow compared to a starbucks, but not horrible.
Very creative and inventive play on Harry Potter theme. My granddaughter loves the nutella hot chocolate.
I am surprised to see, there aren’t many comments around, how Crazy good their lattes are! I got roasted almond latte. One of the best latte made with crushed almond house made powder and no fake syrup! Highly recommended. Can’t wait to try their flight sampler!!
Not much to say in my opinion its not worth wasting your time. Lot better coffee shops around.
One of my favorite places to get a very good espresso. The staff are nice.
Came here on Presidents Day, and it was busy but not overcrowded. The inside is beautiful, and the Butter Brew I got was delicious. My friend enjoyed her Mango something-rather tea. They have a drive through if you want coffee on the go, which I see myself doing in the future (again, drinks were super good). Perfect place for a coffee date. They have somewhat small tables/surfaces, and its not ideal if you like to study and spread out your books/papers, but you can easily set down a laptop.
I really love the coffee here they make a really great iced coffee so no complaints there. My only issue is these cover everything in almonds for their food selection. Every time I tell them Im allergic to almonds and I dont want it in my food, its always placed on it anyway!
Delicious food and amazing coffee. Ordered online, 30 min until ready to pick up.
Great drinks, yummy food. Note that Kitchen closes at 530p though. Recommend the Nutella late and avo toast.
The employees just helpful
Good coffee and food, must try
Not only the best coffee but the BEST people !!
My every Saturday treat! Must try the Orange Chiffon
Super cute and their coffee is amazing. The staff is nice and really attentive to cleaning and serving guests.
This is my favorite cafe! Their food and drinks are delicious AND theyre environmentally friendly, with real mugs, plates, and utensils so you dont have to create a bunch of trash! The atmosphere is great and they have a couple of taller tables where you can stand up which is perfect for when Im working and tired of sitting.
Such a cute, well-decorated coffee shop with a clear Harry Potter theme without being overwhelmingly themed lol. Genuinely the best drinks Ive ever had at a shop, so far Ive had the iced black jasmine tea, the iced lavender latte, and a plain black coffee with oat milk and all of them have been genuinely the best drinks Ive ever gotten from a shop! A little expensive but its worth it for a great cup of coffee & a pleasant atmosphere to work or hang out.
Their Green Dragon drink is my new obsession. Its green tea with hints of fruits. Yummy!!
I really like this place! They roast the coffee on site, and Ive tried many of them, and theyre all very good! Its a smaller place, but its got a great atmosphere. The only thing Id like to see is some more comfortable chairs. They have three padded chairs, the rest are the metal kind. Not bad to sit and sip coffee, but can get uncomfortable if youre spending time there working or having a meeting.Still highly recommend this place though!
First time coming here and went out of the way to try it. Ordered the second breakfast. It was absolutely disgusting. Couldnt even finish it. Prices are similar to a Starbucks. Much much much better coffee is available elsewhere.
I love this Cafe; it is now one of my new favorite morning go to spots! I havent seen a lemon poppyseed muffin since I moved from Des Moines, IA, and I have found the most delicious lemon poppyseed muffin at Bad Owl Coffee Roasters! Their signature lattes are also very inventive and delicious. Food options here are also diverse and fun in flavor. Quality is also important here, which is important to me. ❤
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Its all designed around Harry Potter in a very nice, non intrusive way. The food was absolutely great and the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious! I even bought a shirt because the design was so cool!
Always good, friendly service, consistent, delicious flavor, and quality beans. A bit pricey for a non-franchise cafe though, but hopefully that will ensure they weather through this pandemic.
Not so much Harry Potter but its a great place for coffee.
Been there twice, staff is friendly and nice. Establishment looks clean to me. Not only is their bagged coffee good but the drinks and food are also great. Only nitpick is the BLT comes with enough lettuce for 2 sandwiches. Still good.
The coffee and food is delicious. The decor is just as great. I love that they are able to pull off the Harry Potter theme without being tacky. Its SO classy. Theres always something new to look at while you wait for your order with the way theyve managed to work the HP theme into just about every spec and its awesome!
Great coffee & food! Awesome service from the guy at the drive thru!
I wasnt to impressed.
Delicious! Great service, ill definitely go again. Prices are reasonable, actually great.
Sooo cool love the drinks
Okay, hear me out: this is where you want to go for a creative lift. Its not, however, where to go for food (though you can - it isnt *bad*).FIVE stars for atmosphereTHREE stars for foodAnd the food wasnt bad! It just wasnt mind-blowing. But oh, the ATMOSPHERE...This place was put together with love and a glorious attention to detail. Floors, walls, tabletops, random corners and brilliant sconces all boast some beautiful detail from the Harry Potter universe, and they are a delightful. From funny quips on the bathroom floor (dont mind Myrtle) to gold keys and brightly lit snitches, this place is a feast for the eyes. For heavens sake, the tip jar has a mildly frightening Dobby on it, grinning with too many teeth and clutching a handful of dollars.Visiting this place is a must. I admit I wasnt super impressed with the food, but again, its not bad. And who, in their right mind, would NOT enjoy saying, Ill take a basilisk, please, with room for cream and sugar?Someone boring, thats who.Dont be boring. Visit Bad Owl Coffee Roasters and enjoy.
Great service great coffee
Screaming fast WiFi. These folks are very serious about coffee. They roast their own. Many drink choices. Some good food choices, too, including the brisket. Modern concrete floors and walls yet the wooden tables and Edison bulbs make it feel cozy..
Ive never been big into overnight oats, but the vegan peanut butter version served at this spot is the best Ive ever had. The chia seeds and texture made it super yummy. Tried the butter brew and it was delicious, although I dont think Ill be having it again only because it was too sweet for my taste, and not enough coffee.. The drive thru is a bit on the slow side, but the food is so fresh that it makes it worthwhile.
I so very much wanted to love this place, but unfortunately that wasnt the case. It is beautifully decorated and the theme is carried out through the entire experience. Unfortunately the staff and food leaves much to be desired. I ordered a large fancy coffee, a large tea, a chocolate croissant and a butter croissant. My coffee was a bit lackluster and bland. When I bit into my chocolate croissant it was completely black and burned on the bottom. We went in to tell them about this the employee looked on the bottom of the other chocolate croissant that was on display saw that it was more burnt than the one I had was... AND PUT IT BACK ON DISPLAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO BUY!! I tried writing the company about what happened with no response. If you are charging high and prices I expect high-end food and drink. she gave me a butter croissant as a replacement which is cheaper but she didnt address that at all and I just wanted to get out of there. The butter croissant tasted like a store-bought croissant not a bakery croissant. Unfortunately I wont be going back, like I said I really wanted to love this place and its right across the street from me, but the employees made that impossible.
My car almost blew up
