I was in the rushed to Saigon market as Usual to make daily food for my 9 months old baby boy. When I was there I realized that forgot to bring wallet opps! No wallet no food baby π¦I talked to a guy name Tony? I explained to him. Heβs was so nice to let me buy any I need and trying to help us out.My boy was very happy with his favorite foods. Thank you Tony! We appreciated more than you know. The best grocery store in the South Bay ππ
Their grilled pork fresh roll is the best Iβve ever tasted. Pho is great too
Best ethnic market in the most conveniently located area. Easy in and out. Freshest produce, fish, meat, and goodies that you would usually have to drive hours for. I love this place. Tony, the manager was the original manager of this store takes pride in running it . It shows in the fresh offerings and reasonable price of the goods. He is honest and takes notice of all his customers. The place has become quite international. The owners are Peruvian but they are quite open, worldly, and down to earth in their offerings. I really love this place and come in to buy their fresh offerings at least once a week; sometimes more. It feels good to support a local market with good, decent folks; knowing that your money is well spent. Highly recommend it.
Great grocery store, with lot of goods and products π
First time making Shrimp Fried rice Thai style. They have everything you need and then some. Can wait to find more recipes so I can go back. The owner was super nice!
To go spot for south east Asian groceries and ingredients, fresh vegetables and fruit etc. Meat, seafood etc also available, well stocked, helpful staff. Clean and well maintained. Reasonable prices.
Its okay Asian market. Reasonable prices.
This is my go to market for betelnuts, the frozen kine. So if any of you Micronesians like myself are looking for a place to stock up on the green nuts then this is the place for you! Also its just a good market to get your island food from. Their breads are to die for! Thank you π
If you are looking for ingredients to make some Asian dishes. Youβve come to the right place. I always shop here for items that I need to have for my recipes. Staff are friendly and helpful especially Tony, heβs my favorite guy. He will help you make your shopping easier. He speaks many languages. I recommend this market to everyone.
Lots of variety. The staff is helpful.
Has so much. Indonesian, Chinese, Vietnamese, and more
Great place to buy peruvian products!
Good place to buy peruvian food supplies, but not reliable when it comes to ordering some prepared food items for pickup, we ordered 18 peruvian chicken tamales on Saturday for pickup on Sunday, they only had 5 and had sold the other 13 when we showed up to get our order.
Great spot for juices and tarp root! Call ahead for Large Taro ! Strawberry and peach nectar for 1.99 :-)
Good place to find good Korean BBQ. Fried fish and veggies. They also have a bakery and pre-made food to go.
Variety of Peruvian products, cant wait for them to open their restaurant side to taste some of their well made dishes.
Many of peruvian products in there
Great little specialty market for Thai and Asian food. They have a good butcher as.
Has a big variety of things, mostly from Asia and Central America but also from Mexico and USA, vegetables, bread, sea food, meat . Good spot to get what you need without the waiting in line to pay.
Good π
Good peruvian and Chinese food
Great, Fresh food!! They fry fish and have good meat and seafood. Fresh baked goods and Empanadas
Lovely owners. This market is the center of this little neighborhood. Clean store and great food
Havnt been in a long time but i make trips to this pan-asian market for hard to find stuff, excellent selection of produce and amazingly cheap prices. I especially go for purple sweet potatoes and rice noodles.
This is my go to place when I need anything Asian. Workers are friendly and helpful. The owner is awesome!!!
This is your local Vietnamese slash Peruvian market that serves the Lawndale/South Bay area. I remember coming here when my dad wanted fresh fish that they would cut on the spot. So its much more of a fresh produce that you cant find in major grocery stores. They specialize in those countries products so its a little piece of home for those people. They also have a deli and bakery inside. In my opinion this place is a little run down and could use some upgrades, however it seems to work for the community.
My go to for Fresh meat, fish and poultry.
I came in with a recipe list for dumplings and left with just gyoza rappers. The produce didnt look that great to the point where I decided to just get the produce from a supermarket for even cheaper. They also didnt have cabbage which was pretty surprising. Its also important to note its now also a Peruvian market as well so I guess the Asian selection is more limited now. So if you are looking for produce I would recommend going somewhere else but other than that it seems like it has a decent selection of other items.
Great selection, great wait. 4 items and 20 minutes later I was able to pay and leave. If you are in a rush, dont come here.
This is a specialty store that has a great variety of different Oriental type foods. It has a fresh fish market inside and a place to have lunch. Nothing fancy but a good place for just browsing.
The best of Asian and Latino markets! Saigon Market has diversity and variety! You can buy food products from different countries of Asia, including fruits and veggies, and also enjoy the same from different countries of Latin America, especially Peru! The location also enjoys an eatery section where you can fry your fish, enjoy Guatemalan baked goods and Peruvian and Vietnamese favorite dishes! It gets busy on the weekend so plan accordingly! Enjoy good food for cheap! Plenty of parking too!
Best place to get hard to find spices,
I actually drive 7 miles to get to this store and really excited to shop for Vietnamese spices, Vietnamese egg roll ingredients, and more of Vietnamese products for Vietnamese recipes and groceries. But really disappointed to see that most of items being sold here are Mexican stuff. Why name the store if Saigon Market if youβre selling Mexican products???
The owner and meat guy are super friendly and helpful. If youre looking for a specialty item, he will stop to help you find it. They have delicious cookies, beetle nut, and everything to make Thai and Indonesian foods, to name a couple. Overall prices are great. If you were to go to the Asian isle in a supermarket youd pay nearly double. Love it!!
Good place for Peruvian products
Very interesting shopping experience, friendly and helpful
This is an amazing Asian market. Despite its small size, It had everything on my lengthy shopping list . The prices were good too.
I love the bakery here. Fresh rolls and cookies make daily. Also, they have great Peruvian items here -- they make Picarones fresh daily! The best Ive had by far here in the the states. They also have good prices on fresh fish and even have a juice bar that is very affordable! A little out of the way, but definitely worth it!!
I love this place for fresh meat, chicken and fish. My kids race to the bakery department to get their freshly baked chocolate muffins, and I prefer mango pineapple fresh juice or green apple fresh. it costs fraction of other fresh juices in the area, and made right in front of you.
Im from Thailand and this market carries a lot of Thai ingredients. No need to drive to Thai Town in DTLA when I can just drive 5 mins away from home π
They have Moui Ot and 3-Crab Fish Sauce.
Good they care Asian products you need.
Small market but it has a good service. Fresh vegetables, fresh baked bread and sweets. The smoothie are very tasty.
Great place hidden gem in Lawndale
This review marks the second visit Ive made to this market. Id say its quite convenient having a Vietnamese supermarket in the area so close for all the cool items like the fresh Pomelo I scored there and the really cool (extra large) plums they were selling. I also took notice of their seafood selection on my last visit, which although I was not there to buy seafood, I did note how fresh looking they were. So that will be another reason for me to pay them another visit in the near future.Overall, the market has most Asian foods on offer and would make a great stop if one is looking for hard to find things such as duck meat, fresh seafood, and other specialty items.
Saigon Market has fresh duck eggs... A thing that I have not seen in any other market since 1980. At 59 cents per each, theyre not cheap. But everything that chicken eggs do for breakfast, duck eggs do 100% better!
Perfect place to for amazing food
Very clean and well organized store. Helpful employees.
One of the only stores with more rare ingredients
Found what I was looking for at a great price.
Good place to find Vietnamese and Filipino products. Limited for Korean items.
This place is like a convenient store of Vietnamese super market. You could your ingredient very quickly with some of typical Vietnamese and Mexican foods.
Great selection in the market. I went in to purchase some Viet hot sauce and was surprised by there selection. In addition to the Vietnamese selection there is a side of the market dedicated to Peruvian products. There is also a Deli counter that serves sandwiches, juices, and a few entrees.
Excellent food and like their service. Although, once they forgot my fries, the chef came to apologize and in return offer us some desert. Even, i was a little bit upset at the beginning, just the fact that they have recognized their mistake was great.
Good prices good service and selection.
Great Asian products not available at other places
Great little market.. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh and they have a lot of variety .. They also have products you wouldnt find at regular grocery stores . like Vietnamese and Peruvian products .
I love coming here for their Vietnamese sandwiches. They have good food and great prices. I usually come here in the mornings and usually Cesar is the one who makes the sandwiches in the morning and he does an excellent job so I expected the same type of service in the afternoon, but when I went in the service was HORRIBLE. It was an older hispanic lady with a nasty attitude who didnt seem to care about the costumers. She wasnt just rude to me but also to the other guests in front of me.
A bit crowded isles but it got some basic Asian groceries that you may need in the area..
The service was very good and looks like they have varied merchandise, however it needs more maintenance and cleanliness.
Good place to buy Asian food. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are good and reasonable price.
Nice little vietnam and other asian market options. owner tony is nice and helpful - always busy.
Nice, small alise, shelves full.
Great ethnic market, fresh meat and bakery. They now carry Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwiches on fresh baked mini 9 baguettes. They have a good variety of sandwiches for only $3.50 each. They have lots of southeast asian items like spices, sauces, noodles and dry goods. They even carry banana leaves. The last time I was there they had some very odd flavors of ice cream. Flavors like avocado, taro root or cheese. Great little place. I get these hefty sandwiches whenever I take a road trip. Fresh, tasty, filling and cheap. Turned a few people on to these. All were quite pleased.
Its good especially when they fry the fish for you they dont put it in a plastic bag rap with paper bag they put it on aluminum foil and a half a box I believe that good service.
I love the huge selection of Asian groceries and fresh vegetables
We like this store has goodies
Good selection of peruvian products!
Most unique, a small Asian market combined with a Peruvian market and bakery. Has lots of Vietnamese products. Fresh produce.
Excellent selection of hard to find Vietnamese and other Asian foods, including frozen durian, Asian veggies, fresh duck, spices, etc. Very good bread! Small and cramped but if youre a Vietnamese food aficionado, worth a visit. In a plaza, with easy parking.
Has a great variety
Good service and good food, cooked and uncooked.
Quick for asian groceries and bites with a Peruvian zing
They have many supplies in this place! Good for shopping!
Im glad this place exists but that said I dont love coming here. Its convenient to stop by when u dont want to drive all the way to Torrance to a better larger Asian market. However, this place is filthy and sometimes the price on their produce is insanely high and the quality can be mediocre.
Great selection πππ
Not many Asian markets carry Indonesian foods and spices, they do.....my go to store for gado gado sauce. They also have great vegetables at affordable prices
Clean...and well organized store....Seafood department will clean &fry your food for free...Great place to shop for Asian product with reasonable prices
Rad specialty grocer. They have tons of hispanic and asian items and a sandwich counter in the back that has good inexpensive options. I go here for lunch often and to get hard to find ingredients for my kitchen.
Small market, but it has a wide variety of products. They usually have the hard-to-find items the larger chain stores dont carry.
A very underrated market. Very nice selection of items, also including a Deli section.
Good variety of asian and peruvian products. There is a cafeteria to eat in.
Great market for Asians and Peruvians. Who knew market like this existed
Five stars, small mom and pop grocery store. Great prices for curry pastes, noodles, Asian groceries, produce, seasonings and spices.
Product selection is great.
As the name implies, this market carries many different Asian products and fresh vegetables, slightly centric around Vietnamese but a good selection of Chinese, Thai, Filipino, etc. This is my go-to store for that purple Thai basil and galangal, hard to find in the (mostly white bread) beach cities.
I dont hate this place just a lot room to improve in them customer services and please do not put the price sticker over the expiration date that way we able to look and pick good items than k you
My favorite store. Never fails
Found my halal Dodo frozen fishballs here. Also Nonas instant ketupat, some old school keropok and most important can get my frozen petai or stinkbeans here. Happy melayu shopper.
They have a lot of fresh groceries, cooking ingredients and a cafeteria inside the market Artisan Bakery it was a wonderful surprise ...nice menu, delicious sandwiches ...peruvian & Vietnamese style, peruvian cebiche, chanfainita con papa a la huancaina, arroz con pato,Caldo de Gallina, Jalea de Mariscos,Yuca frita, tamales, picarones .....postres ...pastries, cakes, Yummy smoothies, etc etcHighly recommended & great prices
Great place to get Indian spices
A good lace to find products from South America. Also terribly great Banh Me sandwiches. A great fresh baguette thru out the day
Tiny Asian/Mexican market connected to a Mexican restaurant.
They got banh mi sandwiches that are pretty good for less than $4 Interestingly they also serve Peruvian sandwiches!
Good supply of Asian foods. Cheap prices. Didnt like the food at the attached restaurant.
