I came yesterday at 3pm and was told they were only taking appointments which is fine. I made an appointment for 8:30am today. I walk in and say I have an appointment, the employee said “for today I won’t be able to get to your car for at least 3 hours. I ask so what’s the point of making an appointment and being second on the list to still have to wait 3 hours BEFORE you start servicing my vehicle?? He literally didn’t respond and walked away. I drove down to Jiffey Lube, no appointment and they started right away!!

Attendant was a very nice young women. Informed us that theres only 1 tech on Sunday afternoon working. We needed to patch up a flat tire. She recommend another place who can service us quickly. I thank her for honesty and not just taking my car in if it was going to take a long time to service.

This store used to be awesome (5 Stars), had a large inventory of just about anything, but now they are ONLY offering maintenance & tires. They will be reopening as Advance Auto Parts

Will replace my part under lifetime warranty with no hassle. Cant ask for more.

Buyer Beware! My vehicle was dropped off here by a tow truck to receive service and overnight they towed my vehicle to the impound! Do not park in their parking lot, it is a scam to get your vehicle towed away. I had to get a rental car and pick up my keys from Pep Boys, then drive to the impound where I had to pay $320 to get my car. I am pursuing this with law enforcement and an attorney as this is obviously a very bad racket that they have going on here. Buyer beware!

I come here often to get parts for my car. I’ve even gotten service done here a few times. However, yesterday evening I made an appointment at this location online to check my A/C system. The website said they offered this service here at this location. Upon arrival I’m told that this location does not have a licensed person to work on AC systems. I know it’s out of their control what the website online allows however, if online it says they offer that service I would suggest that they get someone licensed to do so.

Worst place to do an oil change!! The waiting time is to long. Took me more than 3 hrs to get out this place. First and definitely the last time coming. Dont waste your time at this place.

Rude cashier and rude in the service department. They both have aggressive tones and horrible customer service skills. I dont recommend this Pep Boys at all.

Robert from the service department is an excellent and profesional guy, I made an appointment online it looks like my order didn’t go thru but instead of rescheduling my appointment he went the extra mile and took care of me, he called so they could send the parts that I need it for my car (Tires) and made it happen 1hour before closing time. I’m really thankful because he went the extra mile.

Place is going out of business and really doesnt have much because of their clearance sale. I tried to get my tired changed and was told it would be a 2 hour wait but no one was working on a car at 10am! Found another place that helped eight away

Had a 10am appt sat there until 12:15pm then they did my oil change. What is the sense of making a 10am appt??? The person that wrote down my mileage missed the correct mileage by 9,000 miles. Dont know where they got the mileage that was written on my bill, cause it wasnt even close. Thinking about changing oil change shop. Grrr great way to start a Saturday Grrr

So bit frustrated. Have an appointment scheduled for 2pm and I’m here but welcomed to a sign saying no one will be back til 2:15pm. All employees in the store are ignoring me. No greeting, no asking for help, nothing...instead when I make eye contact they scurry away and I’m seeing them sit on their phones.Will provide update...

I literally never rate a place with 1 star, but a few hours after I went there I still feel annoyed by the service.First I had an appointment and even with the promise of 30 minutes oil change, they took 2:30 minutes, on top of that, the person in the white uniform who is suppose to be in the front desk, isnt here and I waited in the counter for another 30 minutes while I was watching him helping two girls with their car, I though that they have mechanics for that, my car was literally ready for 30 minutes, no costumers jus bad service.DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE THE WORST TIME OF YOUR LIFE.

These guys always has this $19.95 oil change deal, that I try always to catch. I use to take my car to them for everything until my husband found Inglewood Tire, on Hawthorne Boulevard, merging into La Brea.They r cheaper than Pep Boys.Still, Pep Boys has a nice waiting room also. The place is mostly clean. While I simply cannot bring myself to use a public bathroom, they do have one.And plenty if parking.And everyone is so very nice.

Recently took in a Jaguar 2003 for spark plugs before taking my car no problem at all. Then the car stalled after 1 blk from home. It began making a shakING while driving. I then took it by AamcoHad trans done. Aamco stated thatMy car is shaking because they is a misfire in 3 And 5 related to spark plug installation. Took car back and it sat over a week due to mechanic supposedly off for a week. I advised them I wanted my money back due to spark plugs not properly installed and car sat for a week to date they claim no mechanic on site.I want a full refund.C BarberaOr I intend to sue

I had a flat tire and went to the Pep Boys website and it said there is a slot available that same night at 8pm. I made the appointment for 8pm. And it was 5.30pm when I made the appointment. I went to the store at 7.40pm and was greeted by Tim at the Tire section. He said he cant take me in because I just made the appointment. I told him, why did the system let me make the appointment then? To that he says... Well thats how the system is. !! @. I then told him, I actually made the appointment st 5.30pm and showed him my email confirmation. He then says, I should have read the fine print which says I have to call and confirm in addition to making the online appointment. So, I did that. I stood right there and read out loud and NOTHING in there says to call and confirm. It basically says my appointment is confirmed and they are looking forward to seeing me. So I did not get my flat tire fixed. If I knew this at 5.30,I would have taken it elsewhere. At the least he could have apologized for the system accepting my appointment. He didnt do that either. He was indifferent. Please do not go to this store. I will never give my business to any Pep Boys ever again.

Fast and friendly service. Jonathan in Service is the man to ask for. My father took his car there for service because he was having issues with his battery. The work was performed in a timely fashion, they maintained communication with him and his vehicle was ready before the promise time. My father forgot his Pep Boys credit card but that was no problem, they were still able to charge the card with some basic information.All around excellent service. This team is the reason my father has been a life long customer of Pep Boys.Keep up the great work guys!!!

Wouldn’t rotate my tires because the back had more tread due to policy. I haven’t rotated them since I bought them, the front wear faster. Which means they won’t rotate them indefinitely. Rotating tires is extremely important for long tread life, this is absolutely unacceptable. Lost my business for life.

When Im too busy or lazy to do a car project, I come to this Pep Boys. They do a great job and have a convenient online service scheduler. They also took care of the manufacturer rebates for me through their website. Very convenient and hassle free work.

I stopped by last Saturday to have a oil change to my car. The guy told me that I have to wait for two hours for service and I thought was to long, so he advice me to have an appointment. I set up an appointment for today, Tuesday, while I was there. I had to wait for two hours and ten minutes for the oil change with my appointment! So, what is the point for appointment?

Completely belittling treatment from Jose at the service/tire desk. Went on at 4:30pm albeit on Labor Day, and asked about getting a tire alignment for my car.Was taken to Jose at the service desk and told it was too late in the day, an answer I was fine with receiving. I asked Jose what time I would need to have my car in to the shop to have an alignment done and Jose told me he needed an hour to to an alignment inspection, and they were closing early at 6pm due to the holiday.I thought about it for a second, looked at the clock on my phone, because there would have been an hour and a half for them to get it done (but I didn’t say this to him) and Jose came back with the question “and what is it you’ve done that makes you think you need an alignment?” Like I don’t know my own vehicle.He really did his best job to make me feel dumb about my car. I have come to this location before and received similar treatment. I WILL NOT come back.

Inside the store I do not have any issues with it had a huge verity and is very clean and organized.There service center is unfortunately the complete opposite.We had an appointment for a oil change at 11am and had us waiting for until 11:39 am. They do not do the services that they advertise and was very dissatisfied. They really need to step up their standards here. Will voice to there customer service center and will update my review if anything is addressed.Horrible service. very Lazy.

The parts department is great, knowledgeable and friendly. The service department on the other hand is pathetic. I came in to simply get the check engine code pulled from my car, I stood waiting for over 10 minutes unattended while the service advisors walked around seemingly pretending to do any work. The parts department is as I mentioned very helpful. I wouldnt trust my vehicle with them for repairs, but I would trust their parts department to get me the parts I need so I can take it to a real mechanic.

I stop by for assistance and they were short with me and unwilling to talk. I was the asked to drive to The Torrance store for assistance. I asked him to call and he responded they are pretty busy would u like the number or you can drive there. He was repeating it $45 to service your car its gonna be $45. I only needed. Few min. Of their time. I am willing to pay for service but do not continue to push me off in a rude manor. I now understand why they have a bad reputation. This was my first and last time at this brand.

THis is my first time writing a review, but the service was beyond humiliating and unsatisfactory that I had to write a review.Please AVOID this location! The guy at the service desk was very rude and sarcastic the entire time he was filling my order. He kept making wise cracks and jokes at my level of knowledge about my own car. Its a new car. He made me feel humiliated in front of my wife.On top of that I went for an oil change and he told me that my tire needed to Be replaced. Before I went my tire was fine. But after I left the Hawthorne location, suddenly my tire began to slowly lose air, and then the tire pressure light came on. Now the tire is flat and I have no way to replace it, costing me money in ubers to get around. The staff at the Hawthorne location will INTENTIONALLY ruin your car so you can come back and fix it with them.I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO ANY OF THESE STORES.

These guys are liars and crooks. They called me and said my car was ready to be picked up. I get there and they make me pay my bill before taking me to my car. They made up all kinds of lies like they were test driving it and would be right back. I get back to my car and it would not even start. I paid $1008 for an experiment on my car that didnt fix the pro blem. They knew this, lied and never returned my money. I tried to cancel payment on them through my bank because this is what they told me to do to get my money back and that they would not contest it. This too was a lie. I am out $1008 and no car. Had to sell it to salvage yard to get it off their property.

I called in today before coming to the shop to ask how busy they are and do I need to make an appointment or just walk-in. They told me over the phone just come in. I told them, Im on my way right now. Once I get there at 12:55pm, they say they are booked until 5pm. Then they send me to Artesia and Aviation, branch. I went there they told me same thing, very busy today. Why the hell you tell me just come in when you are all booked. You wasted my time from work today.

They literally took all day to work on it after consistently telling me it would be done at 12.. came back then and the didnt even call for the part they knew I needed when I made the appointment. Then said 4.. 4 rolled by and nothing. Now its close to 6 and I havent seen anyone working on it the last hour.

An hour and forty minutes for an oil change? Get it at Pep Boys in Lawndale. I did get to listen to the mechanics argue about who was in charge when the boss was gone😒, really? When they finally said me car was ready, I turn on my car to find the engine light still on. The same one I had just asked them about. After even more time the mechanic came to me with some numbers scribbled on a piece of paper and said there are the codes that came up then turned away. I am going to a a real mechanic next time.

Ive read several reviews of this Pep Boys online, and most of them werent good.I go to this store very frequently, and Take It From Me.., the service department should get an award for being the WORST in the game. Theres usually only 1 technician in the bay working on a car, but (on a good day you MIGHT see 2 if youre lucky, and if the groundhog saw his shadow the prior February) 😼The parts department however, is cool. Theyre nice guys, and theyre very helpful. If you want a local Pep Boys that has good service, go to the Redondo Beach location on Artesia & Aviation. Since that community is mostly populated with the wealthier majority, that Pep Boys really Hop To It, and bust their balls to get very chummy with, and provide good service to their local customer-base.😘

Terrible service. I guess fleet vehicles arent as important people paying with cash or credit. Waited 35 minutes for a signal light bulb replacement, other customers came in and got serviced right away. Now I have to deal with people calling in that Im cutting them off because my blinker doesnt work. Great job pep boys.
