The dealership wanted to charge me $1000s to fix warning light issues, but Hubert found the actual cause and fixed for a fraction, without unnecessarily replacing expensive parts that the dealership insisted needed replacing. He is trustworthy and honest.

Found Emerald on Yelp! after driving my 1990 Volvo wagon around to some other places, including some of the Swedish joints in town. One of those places, after I told them I didnt want them to perform the work (at their astronomical rates) suggested I retire the car. Nonsense! Went to Emerald with my list and a request to find anything else wrong, drove off the lot and halfway across the country. No up-sell. Quality work. Maybe the brakes werent made in Sweden, but they work.

A gem of South Bay. Hubert provides excellent customer service. I had an engine light. I was driven to my car rental location immediately after I dropped off my car. The diagnostic and estimate was done in a very timely manner. I had meetings to attend and didnt miss a beat. My car was repaired and was ready for pick up at opening time the next morning. The cost was both fair and affordable. The work was fully and clearly explained, and done expeditiously. It was an overall pleasant experience. Ill definitely use South Bay Car Care again. My car needed new light bulbs and I called and asked Huber to make sure it was in stock. He checked inventory and said he had it available and I showed up about an hour before closing. As soon as I got there, Hubert started working on my car. He made sure all light bulbs were working and it took less than 30 minutes. He was very kind and extremely helpful. My truck was leaking coolant and my mechanic was on vacation for New Years. I saw the reviews on here and decided to go, I got there pretty late so I knew it was going to be over night. Hubert took a couple minutes to check it out and told me it was the gasket. He gave me an estimate which was a fair price and the next day it was fixed. The estimate was the exact price, no extra fees and it runs perfectly fine now. Im switching to South Bay Car Care from now on.

From the big service needs to Hubert, I didnt pass my smog test, I need this thingy replaced now (because, yes, I waited until the last two weeks to register my car), I always feel taken care of, my car is in excellent running condition (it is a 2006), and Hubert asks a fair price for his work. This people are the worst thiefs. Just for a fuel pump installation on a chrysler 300; 800 + dollars. I dont know about you guys out here, but maybe it is better to learn to do things your on self. What a wonderfully refreshing experience of excellent customer service and care! When I arrived Hubert was quick to greet me, prepared my car by covering the seat with plastic and putting paper on the floor.After pulling it into the service bay, his technician treated my car like it was his own. Carefully positioning the lift under the car and using wood blocks to prevent any damage from the lift against the underbody. I have rarely witnessed such care and I really appreciate the extra time he took to ensure the car was safely lifted without any damage to the underbody.He drained and refilled both the manual transmission and rear differential oil and while he was efficient, he was also super careful, wiping up and dribbles and properly torqueing the drain plugs and double checking his work.I am looking forward to bringing my other vehicles here for service in the future and I will recommend him to my friends.
