I have had a prior experience at a different dealership that left me feeling frustrated, and that I was being brushed off with my concerns regarding my car. I felt disregarded at that dealership, and everything felt it was a “well it is what it is/ oh well” mentality. However, all individuals I spoke with at Commonwealth Chevrolet in Lawrence, Ma took the time to listen to my concerns and took the necessary time to explain all steps in the process. They also worked with me in my difficulties with transportation with only having one vehicle that needed service. I know things break down in cars, and they need to be serviced and maintained. But it is truly the people you deal with in the process that make the difference and at Commonwealth in Lawrence every single person I dealt with in the service department was amazing. Then, to top it off, I ended up buying another vehicle with Joyce in the sales department as I was in desperate need of a second vehicle. She went above and beyond to assist me as I had my young daughter with me. I did not expect to find a vehicle due to current shortages, so shopping with a young child presented its own curveball that Joyce took in stride. She made such an impression that later in the day when I returned to pick up my car being serviced, my daughter went looking for her to say hello again. I know right now things are very tough for car dealerships, but you would never have known it based on my experience. I never felt pressured, dismissed, or like I was just another customer in a long line. Everyone was truly a pleasure to work with, thank you!
I bought my vehicle earlier this year from another dealership and wont be back. If it had not been for the deal I was getting, I would have walked away. I decided to try somewhere else for an oil change and it was like night and day. The staff were friendly and informative, no issues or surprises whatsoever. It was great. I will be back to this location only.
My check engine light came on less than a week after I picked up my new vehicle, which was obviously disheartening. I called the service department and was told to bring the vehicle in and I would be provided with a loaner car so I would not be inconvenienced as they look at my vehicle. Everyone was very apologetic that this was happening to a new vehicle as well.My service tech, Josh hooked up my vehicle right away to show the code for the issue and assured me that it didnt look like it was anything serious but he would have another tech verify. About 4 hours later, I received a phone call that the issue was fixed and the code cleared and I could come pick up my vehicle.This is my 5th vehicle from Commonwealth Motors and this is the type of service that will keep me coming back in the future.
I’ve been to Commonwealth three times for service. I’d purchased by Traverse at another dealership but had ordered some accessories and they were shipped to Commonwealth. When i made the appointment to have them installed, the experience was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was awesome. I’ve been back twice since then and have had the same experience. They are only 10 minutes from my house, so I plan to stick with them for service. Next time I’m in the market for a car or truck, I will definitely visit Commonwealth.

Corvette needed an oil/filter change and state inspection. All was completed in a timely manner. Service department kept me informed of the work being done. I trust Commonwealth Chevy for work done on my Corvette.
Well, I went to get an estimate on my car because I needed to buy a truck. By the end of the day not only did I get my estimate, but walked out being the owner of a 2021 Chevy Colorado. I did not feel pressured to buy but fell in love with the sand dune color & was afraid it would be gone if I didnt jump on it then. I love it!
The person ( jennifer) who greeted me when I arrived at the dealer was very helpful and answered the questions I had. Im just disappointed with my purchase. I have a air bag issue and beeps intermittently so its hard to duplicate this problem. Need to make another appointment with plenty of time for them to diagnose the issue.

I took my car in last week because the dash board lights were not working. They kept my car three days and said there were no issues with the lights. The first problem was that they send you a text encouraging you to contact them by that text and no one is responding to the text. I sent several questions and none got answered. On Tuesday the lights were not working so I took it back in and they finally believed me they kept the car two days. On Tuesday I sent several text inquiring about my car. Finally I had to call to find out what the issue was. I asked for Jon and they said he had left for the day. I asked if anyone responds to the texts the rep said that it is an automated system. No apologies, no one takes responsibility. On Wednesday I waited till about 11:00 AM and finally someone told me that the car would be repaired by close of business. The repair would cost $740; it actually cost $816.97. They dont respond to their own texts, they dont know what their services will actually cost and they just dont care how long they hold on to your car. I guess business is good so who cares.
I would like to mention they have an amazing staff. Lexi was great at her job and answered every question we had. We will be back to turn in my wifes kia and in three years mine.
I dealt with Dimitri in service and he pretty much took care of everything. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Nice guy.I had to send my ‘13 Equinox LTZ in for a timing cover gasket. Ended up the Tech noticed water pump was leaking. Nice to send your car to a place that has Service Techs that know what they ate doing. Would definitely recommend the service department to anyone.

I would shop them first !so you don’t waste your timeThey do not have anywhere to get all your information you make phone calls and it pass the phone around the building to 15 different people and attitudes not my job when you ask questions especially buying a brand new vehicle in this market seems like the only way to get all your information is to go in there and waste your time and sign up a vehicle and go through finance and possibly get the answers that way
I had a fantastic experience with the salesperson, Jeff Parent, and his sales manager, Dennis Millman. The process was so smooth and they were able to get me exactly what I wanted but thought I could never afford. It meant a lot to me after having to buy a car unexpectedly after I was rear-ended in January and my 2020 SUV was totaled. I never wanted to have to buy a new car in the first place, but Jeff and Dennis made it so painless and easy!

Good.I made an appointment online this time and was very easy. Usually I just drive up and wait. I definitely prefer having an appointment.The text and email alerts to remind me of my appointment directed me to go to the HONDA dealership not CHEVY. My appointment should have been at CHEVY.I would also like an automatic car wash run through each time I visit. The first time I went there for an oil change, they asked if I wanted a car wash and I said yes. I havent received one since.
Im absolutely furious with chevy service. Ive had multiple issues with them telling me they will have my truck back to me by end of the day and its not back and its left completely unlocked with all my tools in the back. No call to tell me its another day. I just paid $1500 to have my ac fixed. It worked for 1 hour and now doesnt work. I had the same issue with my fathers truck same truck and model they charged me half that price 6 months ago. Took them 3 days to fix my truck that they didnt fix and I couldnt work because this is my work truck. On the way home from leaving the service center I had 2 flat tires. One tire had a bolt from a garage buried in it the other looks like they hit a curb because my rim is dented and scratched. I have with my family bought over 10 cars here and was looking to buy another truck and I will never give this place business ever again.
Starting with the driver Ranee, who both drove me home and then picked me up, so pleasant and congenial, to the Body shop receptionist Luisanny and of course the Body Shop manager, Brian, they all did such a great job, fantastic work and I thought I got the wrong vehicle when I got in, they completely detailed the inside and out, so much appreciated after the salt ravages of winter. The work done was only minor to, finally a dealership who cares about every customer, both large and small. Thank you!

I have leased many cars in my life and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. The staff was extremely responsive and courteous. I live 45 minutes from the dealership and Robert Camberlain delivered the car to my house to save me the trip. As a father of two toddlers this was extremely helpful. I can’t say enough about commonwealth and how they handled the entire process. They have a customer for life and I drive by about 10 other Chevy dealers on my way to them.

The kid at the drive through service desk I think his name is Nick needs more hands on training! I appreciated the oil change but I asked for a truck wash and it looked like a hose was sprinkled on parts of my truck! My tires weren’t even wet? Not impressed!

Normally I make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation but had spare time and did a walk-in. They took my car within 20 minutes and the work was finished within an hour of me coming in. I could go to a drive in oil change location but don’t mind waiting....I bring an iPad or book and read. The waiting room is relaxing.
Josh Eskel is an amazing service manager. Every time I am in for service with Josh I feel like I am the most important person in the shop. Josh always takes the time to fully understand my issues down to the most nuanced details. He is very patient - I am very particular, very picky, and I am very demanding with how precise I want some service to come out. This last service, he corrected a minor offset from a previous alignment. It was only slightly off, but it was noticeable to me. Josh didnt make me feel pushy or picky. He made me feel valued and justified. He also did a good rundown of the brake system as I had a softer pedal feel after a recent service. Again, he went over and above to ensure I was comfortable with my car and its performance.
My boyfriend and I are now the proud owners of a 2020 Z71 Silverado and it is all thanks to Joyce and her great saleswomanship!!!She was patient, funny and kind and made the whole buying experience enjoyable.We never felt pushed as she gaves us options and most importantly space and time to discuss our choices.We got a fantastic deal and are happy we picked this dealership and better yet met Joyce :)Thank you agai,Monica and Jorge

Went in for an oil change and inspection sticker which failed because they said I needed new ball joints. I brought it for a second opinion to a reputable mechanic and there was nothing wrong with my ball joints. The problem was that it needed a stabilizer bolt on the left side which was missing. How did YOUR MECHANIC miss this and not inform me about it but instead lied about my ball joints. You lost me as a customer.

They were right. I shopped them last. I was definitely a problem child as far as my specific requirements were including cost, trade in options, timing, etc. and they repeatedly stepped up and found a way to work with me. I went dark on them for a bit while I extensively researched other dealerships to try to get the best deal, and they were patient and continued to do their best for me while I was looked elsewhere. Very happy to have bought my new truck from them as the level of service theyve provided for previous vehicles was excellent!
2 recalls on my truck were completed without hassle and at no cost. It included replacing a failed vacuum pump. I also had the front-end diagnosed and the technicians found I had a bad wheel bearing/hub. I was really happy with the way this was handled. The diagnosis costs a certain amount of money, but if an issue is found and repaired, then the diagnosis cost goes towards the repair. I thought this was great. The entire staff was professional and courteous. In particular, I found Pedro Bobea to be very friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He gets a 10 out of 10 in my book. Thanks!

Josh Eskel is a huge asset to your service department. You come in with a big issue and you leave feeling informed, happy and safely back on the road. I was stressed out and he used his great personality and jokes to put me at ease. Ive never felt so comfortable spending so much money on a repair before. Ill definitely be back as long as Josh is my go to guy. Hes top notch. Harry is a great tech too.
I am very disappointed in the service I received. I brought my truck in for service and the issue I was having was not resolved. Instead of listening and diagnosing the actual problem I was told I needed new brakes and a transmission flush. When I picked up the truck the transmission issue was not fixed, and in turn was worse than when I brought it in. I brought the truck to another Chevrolet dealership and was told that the transmission flush I was charged for was a recall item and I should not have been charged for it. I immediately called the dealership and I was told the manager would call me back. The manager did not call me back; I had to call again. The manager refused to refund my credit card and said he had to fill out paperwork and send me a refund. I did receive the refund, but I feel that it would have been perfectly acceptable to refund my credit card. The second dealership I brought the truck to told me that I DID NOT need the brakes. I had 8mm of brake pad at my last service, and all brakes are warped - which was the excuse they used to sell me on new brakes. I am now out $1000 on a service that I didnt need, and it turns out the problem with the truck was a computer issue not connecting correctly to the transmission.- And wait for it, that cost me $0 for them to fix!!! In the future I would advise to listen the customer in order to properly diagnose what is wrong with the vehicle instead of trying to make more money and take advantage of unsuspecting customers.

Absolutely above and beyond! I buy all of my cars from commonwealth because of their excellent service, fair pricing and massive selection of 5 brands, even though i live over 50 miles away.the starter went on my silverado and George, the service manager had the truck towed all the way from home at no cost to me, diagnosed and fixed on the SAME day! That is top notch service.to put it in perspective, gm roadside assistance told me that they could only provide towing to the nearest chevy dealer, but the dealer would not look at the truck for 10 days. this is why Commonwealth Motors is the only place I buy and service all of our vehicles.

I have been leasing cars from here for over 20 years. Not always the same line of cars. They have always been very easy to work with. The most accommodating sales people have been Hector in Nissan and Jane in Honda. They got me exactly what I wanted. I will definitely come back for another 20 years!!!

I have a Tahoe that is a year old and within the past two weeks I had to repair one wheel and replace another one. One tech tells me I must have hit something, another tech tells me that a Tahoe should never be put on wheels like this (bought it like this). I think this issue needs to be looked at further, something seems to be faulty.
I was referred here by a good friend of mine who used to work as a mechanic there. He recommended me too Dennis the manager. I was going there to trade my car in and get something different. Before they even knew what kind of car I had or what car I wanted that haggled me about my social. I put up a fight asking why do you need this already and he insisted “he needed to figure out the puzzle pieces” so my credit took a hit and I left with the same car i drove in. Needless to say i will never be back.
I’m sorry to do this, I don’t like to bash any company. It took 2 weeks in total, exactly Monday 2 weeks later. Part of the issue was on GM finance but Trying to get a hold of anyone on the phone at the dealership was nearly impossible. Never got an answer and had to finally email 3 people to get an update. Once finance was done on tuesday, I gave my stamped rmv form to them and got plates and delivery of the car on the next Monday. The process was just so painful compared to other dealers I have bought from. The people were nice in person, the manager gave me a great deal and found the car for me and The salesperson was always friendly. I think if the dealership did in house registrations it would have helped the situation go quicker.
Just leased a Chevy spark 2020, very easy to understand they take care everything right there for you. Insurance, regersty..ECT....Im a very happy customer.

I love Commonwealth Chevrolet. I just feel like Im well taken care of while I am there. They offer a nice clean waiting area with comfortable seating. From the moment I pull in, I know I going to receive 5star service at a very competitive price. Its nice to have a service staff that isnt going to try to sell you a bunch of stuff you dont need.

Brought my car in for a service because I was getting a warning about my engine overheating, despite the fact that the engine was not in fact overheating. They tried to tell me that the cylinder head on my engine had melted and it would cost nearly 5k to replace. Skeptical, I had the car looked at by three other mechanics who told me the same thing, the cylinder head was fine and the fan needed to be replaced. The other mechanics were in shock that I was given such a blatantly wrong diagnostic. This isnt the first time Ive brought my car here for a service and they failed to diagnose the issue properly. Shame on me for not going somewhere else sooner but its painfully clear that this place doesnt care about service and is only concerned with how much money it can extort from its customers. Not surprisingly, the dealership refused to refund the diagnostic fee even though it was clearly wrong. I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you want to be extorted for every last dollar they can squeeze out of you while receiving substandard service. This place is a joke.
Dennis did a nice job on the phone negotiating everything we needed. Carl was phenomenal with delivery. Made us feel very comfortable. Only thing i wish is that you could sign everything electronically.
Great Experience...for the second time. Purchased a VW Tiguan last year and was so impressed with Jeff Parent and the entire process that I contacted him again when considering a new Chevy Custom Trail Boss. My experience is always fine. But I still cant get over the fact that my 2015 Chevy Tahoe with only 139,000 mile needed a new transmission. It started with a clunking noise on the downshifting of gears. I was told and given a hand out stating that this was normal. But two weeks after my transmission oil change and flush, my transmission went. Not happy about this at all.
Finally, a salesman that knows about the vehicles they are selling! Richard W. at Commonwealth Chevy was very knowledgeable about all of the differences between the options on the vehicles we looked at, and took the time to explain them to us. He knew what the different option packages included and could quickly show us what those features were, and how they worked. Very helpful!
