I took my grandfathers collection all over the city and this was the most honest and professional evaluation. I won’t mention names, but every other coin dealer didn’t even come CLOSE to the evaluation given to me here. One place offered me $4,000 less than Lost Dutchman. Getting a large collection evaluated can take a long time, so don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I was thoroughly impressed by their knowledge, honesty, and kindness. As a hobbyist, I went in trying to get a feel for the net worth of my assets, and by the end, I received a deeper understanding of the coins I brought in, which is ultimately what I wanted. Also, when I asked about how to preserve the metals of the coins, they gave me directions on the best ways to, as well as gave me some extra cleaning materials that they had, for free.I cannot rate these guys high enough, if there was a 6/5 rating, I would choose that.

The best Christmas gift Ive ever had: my girlfriend bought me a $50 gift certificate at Lost Dutchman. Lost Dutchman is heaven for history geeks and coin collectors. There is a lot to like about this particular establishment. The WWII memorabilia is astounding. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about coins, especially Matt Dinger who is a numismatic expert. Also they have big foreign coin and token bins which can yield some pretty interesting treasures for cheap.

Went to several high end jewellers a couple I bought items from...no one compares to the prices I sold my old jewelry and silver for....highly recommend them.

Dear Owner,You say that you will address these issues of trying to basically buy my coins for nothing. Yet it keeps happening. A 1929 S Buffalo Nickel in VF condition 25 bucks. It was your associate that graded it, and your associate that put the ridiculous figure on it. No hard feelings, your shop is not a fair business. Ill take my business elsewhere.

They make you feel like family. Even for us newbies who love coins but dont know alot.

I cannot believe the poor customer service I received at this shop. I called to confirm they were open until 6 and drove 45 minutes to arrive at 5 pm. I was told each Coin was to be priced individually and spent 20 minutes picking out coins. Another customer walked in and I waited 45 minutes while they low balled him on coins he was planning to sell. When checking out we did not agree on the grade of one of the coins and rather than putting that one aside the employee threw his hands up and said since its after 6 he doesnt have time to finalize my purchase. He was very rude, unprofessional and must not realize that customers are the lifeblood of any business. I wont be back, recommend not waste your time here.

Treated me like I was an idiot.... I took in a seated silver dollar and was told it was a special variation by my late grandfather. They told me it was a common date and nothing special. I was very insulted by the offer/ them basically calling gramps a liar and I left. I ended up selling it for just shy of $3,000 on eBay. I will NEVER deal with these b@stards again!
