Ive enjoyed the running programs at Ad Astra as well as their awesome customer service- but seeing how they interacted with my son and helped him select shoes for his first year of cross country put them over the top! The woman who helped him was so kind, knowledgeable and thorough. What a great experience! Ad Astra is a great local place to shop and learn about running- no matter your running skill level!

Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and often recognize us by name or at least what school my kids attend! The broad selection is always impressive, especially for a smaller store. The amount of support this store gives throughout the community for group runs, sponsoring events, offering discounts or gift cards as prizes for runners is amazing! If you have a chance to participate in one of their sponsored runs or a group run they help organize, seize the opportunity!

The sales rep makes you walk and do squats to determine which shoes are best for you. She knows her stuff. Highly recommend going here to see which shoes you need if you have back/neck/knee problems or just want comfy shoes.

The folks at Ad Astra are THE BEST. I come in from Kansas City to get new running shoes from them. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. Nobody takes better care of you and your running needs than Ad Astra.

Awesome running store. They always help me find a good shoe (well two shoes) and have a good selection of fun shoes for road or trail. They also do a group run that is a great way to meet other area runners. Most of my friends I have now are people I met from running with Ad Astra on Thursdays. Its a great addition to our running community.

Just bought my first pair of running shoes from Ad Astra Running, and was exceedingly pleased. I was actually helped by one of the owners, and got to chat with the co-owner while I was there. We found out quickly we had many mutual running friends from the JCCC track and XC teams. Getting personal assistance and meeting both owners on my first trip to the store is an underrated experience and made me really appreciate their small business! Most importantly, I was having knee pain that subsided from the pair J. recommended to me!

I walked in looking for a specific brand. The brand I wanted wasnt carried but instead of being turned away a couple simple questions got me engaged in a great conversation. A couple of similar choices were recommended and I ended up leaving with a very comfortable pair of shoes in my preferred price range. Smiling faces and good suggestions made the visit something I will return to.

These guys know their stuff and will even help you find the appropriate shoe for you to run in based on your personal body mechanics and gate.They have a huge selection of shoes and accessories in a well designed and clean store just off Massachusetts street.

I went here looking for a pair of work shoes since I stand on a hard surface all day. They listened to what I thought I was looking for and came up with a perfect fit for my specific need. This experience taught me the value of buying from a legit professional and I wont buy another shoe online as long as this store is in business. In town for a run, I stopped in to pick up my race packet. Place had a large shoe and clothing selection and decent brands. Seeing the sale price, I almost picked up a pair of Brooks running shorts, but they did not have my size in stock.

As a beginning runner with knee & hip pain I quickly realized I needed some running specific shoes. One of owners had me walk around to analyze my gait, inspected the wear patterns on my current shoes and measured my feet. He retrieved 4-5 different shoes for me to try out.
