This store has so much uniqueness thats what makes it so fun! Out past Leesburg, VA this is a good place to go on the weekend for a daytrip. Most of the times I have been there they have decorated it around the time of that season. So right now there is a lot of holiday/christmas inspired things in there and around the grounds. There is 3 floors of treasures in this old building so be prepared to make time to look around. Outside surrounding the parking lot are repurposed and/or newer garden and and yard decorations. There is even the cutest little greenhouse with potted succulents [for succulent enthusiasts like me!] Definitely a great place to check out!

Items are significantly overpriced and most are not antique and are poor recreations of such. The selection is odd and the store itself is very disorganized in all areas. Doesnt feel clean and doesnt feel thought out. I am not sure what other services this store offers but I sincerely hope it is not merchandise. Finally they are not storing all of their wood products correctly and they seem to be weather worn from mistreatment.

I went into Lucketts today with the intention of purchasing a coffee table. There was an absolutely lovely stone table outside we were very interested in, but it was untagged so I went to get help. The service I received was absolutely horrible. The lady who helped me was middle aged with short blonde hair. I have never received such blatant ageism in my life. She clearly assumed that I couldn’t afford the table, because she couldn’t have possibly thrown out a price and left quicker. To add onto it I then overheard them (Three employees, including the one I asked assistance for) laughing to each other in the other room about how annoying it was that we interrupted their conversation. In that 10 second conversation I went from potentially purchasing a $700 table at your store to never being a customer again. To add onto the disrespect, there was also a male worker sitting in a chair beside us, unmasked and texting, the entire time- giving no attempt to help. The one and only reason we even knew he worked there was because he got up to sit in the employee golf cart to glare and continue the whispers about my appearance and age.

As a PTA working on the front line being an essential worker non-essential places are remaining open. You are not essential and you are supposed to be closed. You are placing more people in harms way and giving more work to the essential workers on the front line! Thank you so very much for your hard work and diligence on remaining in compliance with the stay home order I will keep working to save the lives of the many that you are placing at risk. As a resident of Lucketts I will find another place to shop once allowed and will inform others of bad decisions being made on your part to remain open during these trying times.

My sisters and I have been visiting this place for over 15 years and have purchased several thousands of dollars of furniture and different items over the years. My sister in moving to Florida so we wanted to do one last visit together. How disappointing! Previous years, they were very friendly, kind and eager to help with anything even to load your car up. This visit was way different. I felt like they were doing us a favor for letting us shop there. The Design House has become very pricey! An example of our visit is I ask about a battery operated candle, it was the last one. She said she (Kim) would sell it for 1/3 of the cost. It was used, dirty and very dusty. It did like a I thought was the perfect size for a room in my home. I told her I’d take it, got to the table to pay for it and it didn’t light anymore when I switched it on, I questioned her about it and she said I took the batteries out of it. I was purchasing it as is.... batteries and all. How tacky and rude was that of her to do that. In hindsight, I wish I would have thought to say... forget it, I don’t want it. Sadly, we all decided that would be our last trip to the place we looked forward to visiting a couple times a year and looking forward to using our $100 gift cards our brother purchased for us each Christmas. It’s become obverse priced and the customer service is NOT there!! It’s all about the money!

My husband and I like to travel and take the scenoc back roads from time to time. This little gem was along route 15 in Virginia. We stopped to stretch our legs and poke around this three storied bulding. They have a wide array of decor for both indoor and outdoor decorating. Wood, rought iron and cast iron. Wicker baskets and furniture, silk florals, some antiques and some that were made to look old. We had fun looking around. Wish wed had room in the vehicle to make purchases.

Nice, but a bit over-priced. A lot of non-antiques mixed in with the older pieces. Lots of chalk-painted refinished dressers from not too many years ago. The old windows are either broken, rotting, or way too expensive (especially when they are missing any distinctive decorative features). Still a pretty place to visit if you happen to be in the area, but not worth a trip out of the way.

I have been wanting to go here for years after reading about it in WaPo and this weekend we were finally able to. The drive from Arlington is not so bad and more fun if you take back roads. Parking there was very easy and directed. We went in February on a weekend the designer house was open so it was a little crowded but I am guessing it is worse in the Spring and Summer. If it has rained, definitely bring appropriate footwear. You are parking in fields and it can be pretty muddy. Plus a lot of the vendors are outdoors. There is the main Lucketts store, the Designer House and then many vendors under tents or in smaller buildings and sheds. I am no expert but I wouldnt say you get true antiques, more like refurbished or repurposed vintage items. I loved it and really liked all the garden furnitures, wrought iron items, statuary, pots, etc. Definitely a Ballard Design sort of shopping experience. They also have jewelry, homemade soaps and lotions etc. You can definitely spend many hours browsing and there are other vintage/antique stores nearby to continue shopping or browsing. I guess my only sad observations are that it can get very crowded, especially indoors so it can be hard to move around and of course a lot of the items are overpriced. However, every once in a while you can find the perfect item at the perfect price.

This is a really interesting place to look at antiques. Each dealer appears to have a specific room of the house to display their finds. Some of them appear to frequent demolition sales, because they often have large quantities of old hardware. Sometimes, items can also be overpriced. If you do not mind crowds and traffic on two lane roads, be sure to go on design house weekends. They have more dealers outside, food vendors, and they open the decorated design house. Either way, a couple of hours can be spent here looking through everything.
