Leesburg location is closing/moving to sterling. So got some great deals at 80%off... fantastic, also great people working.

Not impressed. Signs are posted on the spring merchandise that lists 50% off. But when I took an item to the counter I was told the sale was starting the next day. I have been looking at this wall hanging for the last week trying to decide if I wanted to purchase it. I know the sale signs have been up all week. No indication that they were for a future date. That should have been on the sign. And I have purchased something else so they have lost my business.

They have amazing selection of fabric for my masks!

Such a mess! Very hard to shop in the fabric department. The young woman at the cutting counter was sullen. The cashier was flippant and told the customer how gullible her grandson was. My visit was saved by a helpful manager who tried to help address a wifi issue for me. She was unsuccessful and I could not connect to the Jo Ann app.

Store is organized and clean. Sometimes is difficult to find items priced. Customer service can improve

Big selection of basics. The store is well run, bright and airy. The staff is cheerful and helpful. The hours are convenient for those with daytime commitments. Havent participated in any of the classes yet.

Store is closing. I went today and half the shelves were empty. Everything is 40-50% off the original prices.

Joanns in Leesburg/Cascades, VA had been the only store locally (near me) in LoCo that carried daily essential sewing items for beginner, middle, or advanced. It was so eerly quiet in the store. More places are popping up in LoCo. Which I find to be a positive thing for the residents of Loudoun County especially as the county quadruples in size.When I need to sew, hem, or alter something by hand or machine, Jo Annes is my go to store since they are local and inexpensive. Although, if Im seeking quality quilting material.. Unfortunately, Jo Annes is not the place to go. Venture out to Fairfax County or farther up towards Falls Church/D.C. you can find some quality material for an array of projects! 🤭Over the years, the amount of fabric and patterns they carry has slowly dimished down to a small selection with the exception of the Sterling location which has a fair amount of material with haphazardly aisles (just my personal observation).2020/7 - Needless to say the customer service has plumted to the negative side. However if you know exactly what your looking for you should be good to go! 😅🙄

I went today and was very exited to see their spring flowers but 1 get 4 free. When i got to the check out the sadness clerk was unaware of the sale. I showed her the sign and she agreed to reduce the price. She had already placed all the flowers in a bag and had to take them out to rescan them. When she took them out of the bag she started pulling them apart in a rough manner. They flowers and foamy balls were flying everywhere. I said something and she gave me the stink eye. I was very pleasant through the whole ordeal. I guess she was pretty upset she had to redo the order. Maybe Joanns should have a list of whats on sale at the front

The store is big and has a lot of stuff. Its clean and well organized. There are almost too many fabrics to choose from!

They assistant Manager made fun of my earings and my hair, for no reason. also over heard him calling me a redneck. I guess he couldnt read the the signs ive been to prison.

Friendly and helpful employees. They knew exactly where the items were that I wanted. Items I wanted were in stock. The only negative is that they didnt have one item in stock that I ordered online; online let me purchase but wasnt actually available in store to pickup.

Well stocked and well-kept, the store is bright, clean and cheery. The staff is generally helpful, but they are not experts. They are certainly pleasant. And somehow this staff manages to restock and flip the floors without blocking aisles or impeding the shopping experience. The fabric department typically caters to the family sewer (they have a whole wall front almost to the back of fleece). Every now and then they surprise you with something edgy. Good choice for a trip for basics or a pleasant time looking for hidden gems.

There has been some staff turn over and that is good. There were some miserable people working here. The store is larger, clean, airy, and well stocked. Expect to spend some time in line. It gets busy but they bring more people to the register to help. Just go here instead of Sterling if you need anything more than fabric.

Dont do the online ordering to pickup in store. If the staff doesnt see it on the floor they will not fill the order. Even if they have things stocked in the back. Otherwise the staff is helpful.

Great craft and fabric selection

I do most of my sewing from the remnants bin, and theres usually a good selection in there at very affordable prices. There are almost always coupons for a percentage of the total purchase as well, so a little patience on that front helps even more. All the staff Ive encountered there are friendly and helpful, and have taken the time to look for my sometimes random requests even when they ended up not having it in stock at the moment (recent example was a round corner punch cutter). The effort is appreciated, and usually turns up the item without me having to dig through the whole store.

The cashier was very nice. The sales people on the floor, I was a manager of sorts wasnt very helpful. The store was a wreck. Fabric on the floor, shelves messy... not the usual Joanns standards.

Joanns is the go-to place for fabric, but finding drapery fabric is frustrating. The seamstress we are working with told us to buy 18 yards of fabric for the windows in one room and 26 for another room -- but no one store seems to stock more than 10 yards of any single pattern, and the staff are not able to coordinate assembling an order for more than that.

This is the best joanns in nova.

Clean, well stocked store. Staff friendly and helpful. I was sent in to pick something up for my wife and had no idea what she was talking about. Staff was able to translate the description I had into the correct items. Came home looking like I had a clue.

Not enough staff. Its a nice store but you cant find any help on floor for questions. Takes forever at the material desk. The poor lady called for backup. 20 mins later no one showed . Last week the lady cut my material and then went to register for check out. Now thats crazy.

Horrible signage. Once again, I got to the register with an item that I couldnt use my 60% off coupon on because it was *SURPRISE* already on sale. I might have shopped that department further, had I known it was all on sale. I definitely wouldnt have waited in line to find out something was 20% off. They need a price checker like Michaels has. At least, if theres no sign and you cant find assistance, you can check it yourself.

Staff was friendly... really fun holiday decor... pricing on holiday pieces can be a bit high but coupons come out on a fairly regular basis and using them offsets the cost

I come here for all my sewing needs. So much fabric to choose from. They always have some sort of coupon or deal going on to help you save when youre buying. Service has always been quick and friendly.

It is difficult to find a store that sells fabric and crafts in this area.. JoAnns has both. Although rather depleted due to the recent COVID-19, there were still items to be had. You will need to wait in line to get on...only 10 at a time with a mask.

So heres my beef...I go in to pick up something for my dear one. Shes got the color, she gives me the location, Im good. Its on sale. But when i get up to the register, what a surprise. Not on sale. The shelf tag is improperly placed, or its out of date, or everything is on sale except this item. And the clerk doesnt care or isnt empowered to fix it, and the person who can is God-knows-where.I dont have the patience for that nonsense. Michaels or Hobby Lobby treats me better.

The store is clean and well stocked. The issue is customer service, or the lack there of... The lines are always extremely long with only one cashier. I have never been able to get assistance on the floor or even seen anyone on the floor to ask for help. It seems as though there is always only one or two people working. The people working are generally not very helpful or friendly.

Craft store. could use some better organization and tidying up in some isles. Most of all they need to immediately have additional cashiers available when the checkout line builds up. Sometimes the wait can be pretty long bc only one cashier is active.

They find new and creative ways every time not to honor coupons that they issued. This time they admitted that the coupon (on the companys App) did not state the restriction but it still applied (because it is stated on paper coupons). No $10 off and no longer a customer. (The cashier was very polite, apologetic, and obviously not happy having to enforce this absurdity!)

It took almost ten minutes for someone to help me in the frames but everyone is really nice

Always has an excellent selection but could do a little better in the yarn and knitting and crochet supplies especially at this time of year. I didnt notice much staff around to help with questions.

They had everything my mom was looking for!

They failed to contact me on two separate special orders. I had to call them 3 weeks after each order to ask where my fabric was and each time they said it was at the store and ready for pickup. I told talked to the manager the second time they failed to contact me and he said very matter of fact that someone called. I assured him that they did not and that was that. There are plenty of other craft stores and other JoAnne Fabrics that have much better customer service.

Nice but could not find the material needed

A nice craft store. It seems they have recently removed the majority of their dies ... as a paper crafter, that isnt good for me. However the new app is FANTASTIC and super helpful for keeping track of coupons.

Your coupons are written so that no one can understand. They are just a bait and switch tactic.----------_--------------Visited 1-4-2021. Womans bathroom was gross. Makes me wonder if the rest of the store is that filthy.

We have come here before so many times and all of the employees are very kind and eager to help assist us except one, Lynn. I honestly don’t know what her deal is but she is so passive aggressive and you couldn’t tell her to smile or at least act happy or enthusiastic working here. She was muttering comments and we felt uncomfortable and not happy with the service.

Two horrible visits in a row have inspired me to post this review regarding poor customer service at Joanns in Leesburg, Va.First, I wanted to purchase an inexpensive sewing machine. At Jo-Ann, however, the Husqvarna Viking representative is also in charge of the Singers. She laughed in my face when I told her that I cant afford the Viking. She told me she would assist me as soon as she was done with another customer, but refused to look up, left the area, and did several small tasks before apparently realizing that I wasnt going away. Then, Oh! You needed something, didnt you? Yeah. Ill never buy a Viking.Second, I purchased fabric, organized my coupons and the checkout person didnt bag my fabric. (???)As a third complaint, Joann has recently changed a policy regarding coupons. The checkout person (youngish girl) said that the $5 off total purchase coupon wouldnt take because I already had too much off due to coupons.I love to go shopping for my sewing hobby, but negative customer service experiences like this one will be the end of the industrys brick and mortar shops. My shopping will be done online now, and not at JoAnns, Im truly sorry to say.I must add that the lady that cut my fabric did well, although, I have to say, it was what it should be and not enough to make up for the other two negative experiences.

The wait in line for your fabric to get cut is insanely long. There was only 2 customers in front of me and the lady took forever. The line at the cash register was also slow. I spend over 30 mins in the store just trying to do a return.

My last trip onto the Leesburg location was upsetting. My mother uses a wheelchair and the electric scooters are there for customers to use. I go in, get the scooter for her, and bring it back when finished (plugging it in when I can).Using the scooter in this store was horrible as many of their aisles were full of carts of yarn and tables up the main aisles full of clearance items preventing movement through them.The Manager of this store tells me that I cant take the scooter out of the store after I bring it back today, saying nothing to my mom as she drives it out.We have been shopping at JOANNS for over 20 years, my mother worked there 15 years ago and my sister just moved on from a 5 year stint, and in all that time we have never had anyone say anything like THAT...we have even called CORPORATE about the scooters; this location is notable as not charging their scooter very often.I asked her how are handicapped people supposed to get into the store...her reply however they get in, thats how they use itWell, I went through all this while wearing an Aircast as I, myself have a broken foot...
