If you are dealing with midas. Go to this location. First of all Lauren at the front desk is super nice and helpful. The mechanics there are super knowledgeable and helpful. I worked with Jake and Michael and i had ome emission issues and not only did they find the problem fast, they helped me be able to identify this issue to fix it myself.

The Associates at this location are always patient and professional - it’s the best location I always come to this one

Fast friendly took advantage of a coupon for an oil change for $16.99!

I purchased a Groupon for a state inspection at this location. Called to schedule an appointment for the state inspection and was told to come in. When I arrived for my appointment, the girl at the front basically told me they don’t do state inspections and there was nothing they could do. If you don’t do state inspections, why wasn’t this mentioned when I called?? And most importantly, why is a Groupon for a state inspection being sold for this location if they don’t offer the service. All round trash service, you are better off spending your money elsewhere.

I can write s novel if I wrote everything that went wrong but the bottom line is management and/or lack of it. We dealt with 5 different new managers who couldnt follow up or kept their promise to fix the problem. Never ever use it AGAIN!!!

Front desk employee was extremely condescending when i was explaining that my muffler had previous damage. all I was asking was to be careful bringing the vehicle in and out of the bay. She proceeded to question my history with the company, which felt like I was being accused of being untruthful. The whole experience made me very uncomfortable considering i was only in there for an oil change

I might change my stars depending on the outcome of my visit today but based on what has already occurred, I can only give Midas one. Because of their great sales people, we ended up leaving with a $1,900 bill. We got new brakes and brand new rotors on our vehicle and purchased the warranty to go along with it. As we were leaving the parking lot, the vehicle would not brake and you could hear the grinding coming from the tires. We reversed back into the parking lot and they realized that the brakes/rotors were put on backwards. Because it was at the end of the business day our vehicle had to stay the night at Midas and one of the staff members drove us home. Well about a month on down the road and not very many miles driven, the brakes went out on the highway leaving us stranded and in a very dangerous predicament. Now we are back and we are sitting on the curb staring at the building as our car is being worked on again. I will follow up once we are back on the road. So far so good, they treated us accordingly and got our vehicle up on the lift immediately. UPDATE: Fantastic job fixing our vehicle. Couldnt be happier!! Thank you Midas!!!

Went for an oil change but their mechanic found problems that would have cost me more later on. Had the important things done in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable. If I would have gone to a quick oil change place they would have never caught my problems. I probably would be stranded and would have cost me more than the car is worth(old model). Thanks to Rick and his crew I will probably be using my SUV for many miles still

Do not go there, you’ll waste your time and money.This place went under new management since my last visit last year.I went there in May for noises related to the front wheel bearings on my truck. They had issues and told me they had to replace the whole hub...They had it for almost a week.The day after I picked up the front wheel were making loud metal noises. I called them and was told to bring it in.Then I was told it was a bad bearing from the manufacturer they get the parts from. They had the truck for a whole week until the driver side wheel bearing replaced a SECOND time.Regardless, it did not resolve the noises I was there to being with.They said they couldn’t hear ir or replicate the issue.I told them I’ll head over and test drove it with the mechanic who heard the noises which were very noticeable.The mechanic then suspected it could be the rear wheel bearings being bad as well...? this would have been another $1K!I left the truck there and this time I had them contact the extended warranty that at first told me they do not cover the front bearings only the rear.Couple days go by and they tell me they are waiting in the extended warranty place, but that didn’t make sense because I got through them fairly quickly and also offered to escalate with the but Midas said no they’ll take care of it.This had been going for a month or so.I then got tired of all the back and fort and told them I needed my truck and to call me when they were ready to replace the rear bearings, but as of today they never call.YESTERDAY- I was doing the oil change and notice the back of the driver side wheel bearing was exposed as in comparison to the passenger side. The one with the missing cap was the one they replaced twice.I call them and of course was given BS about it’s how the truck is driven and those can sometimes come off, etc. This was a mew manager and never once took accountability that this could be an issue with the install. Same as the first time when they blamed it on a defective part.I was told to bring it in and I know how that goes with them. They’ll keep your vehicle for days and give you excuses and simply do not trust them touching my car.Not to mention the brake cylinder that was replaced by them just 12 months ago went bad and they told me is out of warranty! I was told by them it’s probably the booster!Update - 9/7/19:I been hearing noises while reversing the truck and caught recently when I had the window open to see better(use the AC all the time during summer). I noticed the rotor seem to have a major scrape so I decided to order new brakes and rotors.When I jack the front of the truck, I noticed A LOT of play on the wheel hub/bearing where I found the inner metal cap to be missing(see pics). I wiggles from side to side and can see why the brake system and rotor does not seem to be working and getting scraped.This is very upsetting because the first time the bearing was replaced, they had the issues installing it and could not replace the bearing telling me they had to install the whole hub. I can replicate that same noise when shaking the wheel/tire. The whole bearing moves in/out. Midas replaced it and called it a bad part, then the issue came back and they replaced it again and could not figure out where the noises coming from.As already stated, they never called me back; however, now I am forced to take my truck back to Midas because they need to take care of this issue which most likely has affected other parts.The owner has not made attempts to reach out to me, but I will be reaching out to corporate about this because they knew of these issue they ran into calling it a bad part 2 times.

My vehicle’s A/C only blows hot air so I took my car here to check what the issue was, it costs $200 and I was told I would need a new compressor and condenser and with parts and labor it would come out to a little over $2,000 which I could not afford. I took my car to my brother when he got back from the military and told me it was the control unit which cost $30 and now it works perfectly fine. Y’all be careful here.

My go to place for oil changes on both our cars. Have been using these guys for years. Quick service and they are very honest with you about your auto needs. I highly recommend this place and urge you to visit them at least once, you will not be disappointed.

Some of the work they charge doesn’t get done yet they charge for it. I couldn’t believe all the story telling they do to get your money. They’re real good at wiggling money from people that don’t know which is sad.

Went to Midas for a state inspection. Was told I would not pass due to e-brake failure. Was offered service for free brake inspection and an additional brake cleaning for a fee. I was passed after this. My center hub cap fell off the next day and was lost. Upon further inspection I realized my rear lug nuts had been changed out for some cheap ones. The original lug nuts on vehicle were privately purchased with proof of receipt. We called to inform them of this and were told they would get back with us in order to talk to tech that worked on my vehicle. No call back. Whether my lug nuts were intentionally taken or if it was truly human error, it shouldnt have happened at all.

The manager was very nice and accommodating when I came in for an oil change and needed more than that to fix the issue. Joe the one working on my car, was very nice offering me m&m’s from the vending machine seeing my reaction towards the news of said needed work. He showed me the issue not pressing me, but encouraging me to get this taken care of that day. Needless to say I had the work done and my car is much happier for it. I thank you guys for being gentlemen! Reminded me of the days of full service gas stations. I will definitely be back for my next service.

Unprofessional. My wife an I were driving to Dairy Queen and realized we have a flat. As luck would have it, we were right next door to Midas. I rolled the flat tire over to the shop and asked them to patch it. The clerk mentioned that they closed in a few minutes. Everyone dreads the last minute customer but he assured us it was alright. I told him we would be across the parking lot grabbing a bite to eat while they working on the tire.Ten minutes passed and we noticed all the doors were shut. I thought Id better go check in even though they didnt call me. I came to find that my tire was just sitting outside. Its hard to be mad at service that quick and he could have turned us away, but a courtesy call doesnt require much effort.*Edit*A rep from Midas just contacted me and apologized for the inconvenience. He even offered a free oil change, though I declined. I understand that sometimes there are off days, but I am pleased with the response on the part of the management and their willingness to make it right.

This is the WORST PLACE to take your vehicle! We paid $1163 for our van to be fixed, and it was returned With the same issues we started with. They lied and told us it was 3 parts that needed replaced, and we paid to have them replaced.. but now they are saying it is the computer (brainbox). So we are basically screwed and they are taking no responsibility for their actions. STAY AWAY! They are liars con artists and thrives!

I have been coming to this location many years, with many vehicles and today will be the last time.. New Manager (RAY) is extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL... The price for oil change has been the same price for years and still the same price but today but Manager was trying to scam more money .. I advised the price as well as the computer shows previous charge and he said “it is what it is”.. I attempted to explain but he ended up refusing to do the oil change after I said the extra charge is not ethical (based on posted price on sign outside) I ask for district mangers number (MATT) who he contacted on the phone, while I was still in lobby. He passed number to me and when trying to call MATT, no answer! This is the 2nd time they tried to add extra fees and charges and don’t stand by the posted prices on sign..

I pulled up while all of the bays were empty and the guy with the grey and black long hair was smoking a cigarette inside of a bay and all he kept saying was “parking spot” and kept pointing to a spot. Then the individual inside stated his “inspector” was gone for the day because he didn’t want to do the job. Funny thing is, I brought two cars a week before and he inspected them. It was 30 min before closing and they just didn’t want to do it. Lazy with a nasty attitude.

Came in Midas today for my regular Oil change. Was greeted with a smile by all employees including the district manager. Very friendly and out going with a relaxed atmosphere. The location was extremely clean,with am aroma of clean, freshly mopped and swept. All employees cleaning and sanitizing (great with flu season). Over all i give this location 5 stars even that I drive a little further for this location due to the hospitality and the professionalism that I always receive. Thank you for such a great establishment and recommend anyone to come service their automotive needs with out any concerns.

Very efficient service ! The mechanics were very knowledgeable about their craft ! I didnt feel sale pressured by the staff. I was able to go in rather quickly and get all my questions accessed w/o the run around. Rick (specifically) displayed great customer service, he was very patient with me and my concerns.

Rick is a great guy. He really helped us with everything we needed. We spend a pretty penny getting our ac fixed. We needed our windshield washer fluid lines replaced, he did it for free. Then then told us the next two oil changes were on the house. Thank you. They do military discount as well. Definitely recommend!!

Favorite Midas to visit Ive tried going to other Midas locations but this one feels like the right fit for me. No crazy waiting time even when Im waiting I feel comfortable and at ease and relaxed. Ive been a customer of Midas at Bandera for many years now. I have never had a complaint. The staff that works here has always been very helpful and took care of my car in a professional manner. I love the coupons that I receive all the time, so its always convenient for me. Today we met Christopher, he has great customer service.

This location was very awesome, I had many problems with my vehicle, they kept me updated with the progress of my car and even sent me pictures of the parts that needed to be replaced, when I asked for them. Had an oil change and was told my brakes needed to be done. I tend to shop around to get at least three quotes and ensure that they all match up with the best one. Midas was the last one on my list and when I came here I spoke to Brandon and he told me that in order to ensure an accurate quote that he would like to officially inspect my vehicle after the inspection and they told me that I do not need brakes and then my brakes were good I really appreciate their honesty and there and integrity because two other companies were trying to charge me for a break service that did not need to be done at that time. I will definitely come back for all my further need for my car!

Coming to Midas at Bandera was a wonderful experience for me ! The staff was incredibly friendly and answered all the questions I had regarding the manager specials they promoted ( it was a great price for the package I got). Service was extremely quick and everything that was done to my car was clearly explained. I will definitely be coming back.

My car was fine before I got an oil change and has NEVER leaked oil before, but after going to this Midas I’ve had to go to a repair shop twice to get it fixed. They also charged me $17 extra on top of a $20 Groupon I had for a “special filter” I’ve never paid more than $20 for an oil change in my home state and never paid for a specialty filter. Very disappointed that I’m still dealing with this issue a few weeks after coming here.

BE AWARE!!! Dont ever go to this place. I went their shop for my brake services and they did change my rotor and break pad well. But as soon as I started driving, I heard weird noise on my front right wheel. I got suspicious as it was not there earlier. I drove the car for a week and it was increasing, so i took my car back to the place again. NOW, after inspection they told me that both my CV axle was broken and my transmission needs to be replaced or rebuild. They told that it was an estimation of 8k. Are you kidding me !!!! I never had any problem with my cv axle or transmission earlier and as soon as I got in here they did some tweak to so that I would come back and they could rob money from you.!! I took my car back and went to another shop and had them inspected. They did a full inspection and said that the front right wheel/rotor was not attached correctly, and there was a gap in between. They fixed the problem with only 80$. I asked about my transmission and CV axle and they said my transmission is good and only the left CV axle has some minor leaks that doesnt need any fix right now and suggested me to change when I hear noise while moving the car. (But there was no noise yet) PLEASE PLEASE BE aware of this place. They will intentionally tweak your car and later will rob you. I wish I could take legal action against them. Please be aware!

This place is a scam. They will mess with your car to charge you more money than the repair you need. I have a personal mechanic that usually does my repairs, but he was out of town when I had a issue with my car. When he got back I had him look over the work they did and he found they mess with my oil pan gasket. Dont go here take your money else where they have done this plenty of times before, but this will be last time I ever go there

Do not go here. Had my upper ball joints replaced. I asked the guy what brand they were using, he said moog. After they were done and I took the truck home, I went and inspected them myself. They were not moog. They were master pro. I went back and told the guy, and he says oh we have to make money too. Oh yea? What about the $300 labor you all charged me. The total was about $430. I will never go back to any Midas again. They are rip offs.

I used to depend on my husband for any kind of car repair and maintenance issue, until I stop by Midas one day since our mechanic was taking extra time and had to pay everything cash..I discovered that I can rely on Midas to bring a car when I feel like there is something wrong and can be fixed right there on the spot,, I also, appreciate kind service of Chris, who is a front desk customer service man. He is friendly, happy and honest man whose passion is music and it is good to know when you can trust place like this! I strongly recommend this place, especially women,single mom,,,,

Dont go here. They hire convicted felons to work on your car. They mark up the cost on their parts. You can get them cheaper elsewhere. Also if your getting an oil change, they will try to upsell a bunch of things your may need or not. They use the cheap oil change price just to get you in the door. So not a good place to work or bring you car.

Stopped by the Midas at 6805 Bandera Rd. Staff was very friendly to my uncle and I. Rick, Chris & Brandon were very helpful and courteous. It did not take long for my oil change and they also notified me of other maintenance I needed on my vehicle. They were not pushy at all like I feel sometimes at different auto shops. Very helpful on details as well. Friendly. Also little did they know I accidently left a envelope with my money right in the dash and when I got to my car to look for it, it was untouched!! That made me very happy. Honest staff!! :)

Ive been here several times for heavier-than-normal work on my 04 Dodge Truck and each time, the staff made accommodations to fit my work schedule which is really appreciated. The staff are easy to talk to, friendly and clearly explained the issues with my truck. I guess you cant please everyone, but they seem to know how to treat their customers during the last two hours of operations (as in not rude or rushing). From simple oil changes, tire and brake work to a leak in the radiator...they helped me out big time. Thank you.

This shop quoted me $800 to replace the master cylinder in my car. I did a quick search of how much the part actually costs and was shocked to find it for $125.00. I called around to several shops and they were appalled by the quote. I called Midas back to ask what was going on. They quickly cut the price in half. I ended up taking my car to a different repair shop and walked out only spending $325.00 for the exact same work and part. I will NEVER use any Midas again.

Awesome management. Came here to get some issues with my cars fixed. I had to come back a few times as the issues for both vehicles were due to them being old and common problems with each but each time they were very professional and communicated with me well in what they were doing with my car each time. Both cars run fine now and Id definitely recommend this place for anyone.
