I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We were visiting from out of town and this place was within walking distance of the hotel. I didnt know what to expect based on the name, its a little odd, but upon arrival there was a large group of people waiting which I took as a good sign. Turned out to be a gem. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent, even the prices were reasonable. Two thumbs up 👍👍

This is my 3rd time at Zany. Always a great experience. Hostess greetings welcoming and friendly thanks as welcome as an invite to please come again..very nice touch...well done.I had BLT on rye toast and Jojos 2nd visit. This recent visit was BLT on Great seed toast no dessert This time but the carrot cake with vanilla icing is one of the best Ive eaten. This visit I ordered the Pink Lady cocktail non Alcohol to donate towards the cancer awareness donation drove. Every Pink Drink ordered $2 goes towards donations.

I love Zany’s, but tonight we ordered 10 sushi rolls for delivery and 4 of them had medium brown hair squished into the rice around the sushi. Very disappointing after waiting 9 months to eat sushi again. Still one of my favorite restaurants though.

Love going to Zany. The food is great, the price is ok. They are part of the Happy Day Corp. I get a free meal each month as a member of the veterans club. I have not been dissatisfied with the food or service ever.

The food is good across the bored and I really like their sushi. They have unique and delicious appitiser choices. I recommend the fried cheese curds with caramel sauce. It doesnt make sense but it is so good.

Hayden was an attentive and wonderful server! She was so kind and considerate! Wonderful gal!! Top notch customer service from Hayden! Five stars for Hayden.We had other issues with the restaurant that weren’t her fault. The food was okay. The decor was nice. We’ll probably go to Roosters next time though.

I love this place. The steaks are awesome and cooked right, the sushi is spot on and plentiful, the beer cheese pretzel bites..... must I go on? I eat here everything I head to town.

Celebrated a birthday dinner with friends and family and thought the atmosphere and mood of the place was very welcoming and enjoyable. I chose what I thought would be one of the simplest items on the menu which was a pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it met the greatest of my expectations and was what I thought a great value.

Great Sushi, great customer service and will definitely be back.

My husband never ever has a good word about any restaurant we go to. I was very surprised when he raved about the brisket dinner he ordered. He also ate all of my coleslaw from my dinner. The red wine we ordered was actually pretty good. It pared well with my rib dinner. I only gave 4 stars because it took a bit of time for the bar to serve the wine.

Ordered the bacon avocado burger with waffle fries & a milkshake. It was excellent!The hostesses were all wonderful, our waitress was great, and (I believe he was also a server, Noah?) came in clutch with the fry sauce and ranch.Super family friendly. This place is a classic that I have enjoyed since my childhood. The original side is done all up crazy 50s diner style with so much decor to look at topped off with a model train that circles through the air its a perfect place to take your kids. The newer side added a full service bar with a hearty selection of craft beer and a sushi bar. They have an extensive menu bound to please anyone. All of this with with an awesome wait staff keeps me coming back time after time.

I had the French dip and my fiance had some sort of a chicken wrap, both were wonderful. The waffle fries and fry sauce were perfect and so was the horseradish sauce for my French dip. If your from idaho you know the battle over fry sauce, this place definitely does it right, and if you arent from idaho make sure to ask for fry sauce here, you wont be disappointed.

Our meal was great, but our service was amazing in the bar! You’re lucky to have someone like Kaeleen ! Everyone she came into contact with she was sweet and respectful. If I was in the area she is someone I would want to hire.

Excellent food, excellent employees. I had bite size which was done PERFECTLY! The breading has such a great flavor and the meat was tender and juicy.Garlic butter veggies were cooked perfectly. Not mushy at at, just a perfect amount of crunch and flavor.Maria at the bar is a doll! Wonderful bartender, super friendly, kept a clean work area.Came in for my dear Cassidys high school graduation and love being able to see what an amazing young lady she has become while I watch her hard work ethic and charisma. Pretty standard fair for the area with the exception of their sushi bar which is the only place in town that does it fresh. Atmosphere and staff are always pleasant, albeit like most places they are understaffed so the wait times are longer and some of the basic perks have to be asked for rather than provided automatically.

Too many menu items. Needs to lower the quantity to prioritize quality. Service is mediocre at best, waited 20 minutes for a drink, was served the food before given silverware. Payment is by tablet, tip selections start at 18%, all done in front of the server.Dont order the sushi, just dont.

My son loves going here because he gets to push the train button. Such a fun place! I will say the sushi rolls leave much to be desired but I came from a city with many amazing sushi restaurants so I was spoiled before. The sushi is ok and is suitable for the area because there aren’t many sushi options.

We ordered a Protein Burger. Oh, it was SO DELICIOUS! Along with the sandwich, we ordered a side of Onion Rings. I cant ever remember having onion rings so lightly coated n so tender. Ummm, DELIGHTFUL!! The service, I might add. . . was superb, so . . . GO AHEAD, check out Zanis. . . You wont be sorry!!!!

Dont eat the sushi but its kind of what I expected for that type of restaurant you dont order sushi at zanies California roll was turnt I paid for it because I knew better. the server was wonderful and he offered to take it off my check but I refused my drink was everything that I ever expected it to be wonderful thank you you too

Weve been to Zanys many times. Their food is great & the people are always friendly! Theres sometimes a wait, but its totally worth it. They have a tap takeover once a month that we really enjoy as well!

I have never tried a pastrami burger before but it is the special of the month and Im glad I ordered it. It was really good and juicy. As always the service was fast and friendly and the sweet and spicy rool was very tasty.

Zanys is one of a kind. Serving zalads and zoups. You can sit in Z loft. The model train wasnt running over head on this visit and Im not sure if they currently have one that works. Good for locals and travelers

I definitely have to go with a 10 out of 10 based on cleanliness, service and quality. Hell of a place tobzake the family for a Great dinner in and even Greater atmosphere!!!! Love this place!!!!!!

I write this one with a heavy hand. I used to like this restaurant for their sushi. I really liked their service and selection. But the last two times I went, the service was terrible and unprofessional. The food tasted off, like it was mixed with things that didnt belong in it. Everything had a peanut taste to it, which was really unpleasant, because sushi that contains no peanuts shouldnt taste like that. The fish was the most concerning. It definitely tasted wrong. Its clear it was old and maybe even bad. I told the staff and they said theyd tell the managers, but thats all they did. They were happy to serve us bad fish and let us keep eating bad fish. As a food service worker, that interaction mortified me.Other than that, our server was more interested in what another poor acting server was doing. There was some sort of drama going on. It could have been an off day and someone could have been causing them problems, so I cant say that was the most important reason for my low review. I really have no idea if I will ever go back, after what happened.On a side note, their sushi got more expensive. So, poor service + badand poor tasting sushi + more expensive... They need to get their act together. They used to be great. Now they are not worth driving to Lewiston for.

Prime rib was good. Service was good. Sushie was not sushie cold and was covered with some kind of breading and a horrible sauce. On sushie?? Both the sushie and prime rib were brought at the same time. Sushie should have been brought first. Ordered veggie tempura that was just string beans. Looked like miniature corn dogs cooked in old grease. There are good things on the menu. Dont order the Japanese.

Awesome steak bites! Trust me, go here 1st, and if you feel the need to go somewhere else, then walk out the door, then turn around and go back in. It is made to order and pick your dipping sauce. Me, I loved them naked (no sauce).

Id give a 4.5 star if I could. Kitchen was fast and food was good! Though, they dont toast their burger buns 🤔 Service was s-l-o-w. Showed up at 4:45p on July 5th. Restaurant was where other places were closed due to the observed holiday Monday. I think the restaurant was busier than normal and service was slow due to that, so Ill give it another try. Food is good enough that if the service is bad again, Ill just do takeout.

Seemed to be a popular restaurant, had dinner here once while travelling for work.Little on the pricey side but service was good.

Service and food is usually hit or miss when dining in. I wanted to order some food to go, I called around 9pm and they only have there happy hour menu available until close not full menu. Seems ridiculous to have select items when the kitchen is obviously open.

Let me just say, this whole place is amazing and the people are amazing, BUT, there is this ONE blonde bartender/whatever she does, who has not only told me to not drink an alcoholic beverage while I was on a date because “he should see me for who I am”, even though it was absolutely none of her business. Two months later, I finally decide to come back and I’m on a date with my now boyfriend, and she came up to me to tell me to stop vaping even though I was in a middle of a conversation, and not vaping...

Interesting local eatery. Seems very popular with the locals. I was supposed to get happy hour pricing on my app and drink, but didnt. They also didnt have regular menus available due to a banquet. My napkin and silverware came late into my first course. However, server was friendly and engaging. The food tasted great! I didnt order the sushi though. Not sure what dish was brought past my table but I definitely smelled fish...which you never want to smell in seafood.Overall, Id recommend and would try again.

My husband ordered the smoked nachos. It came in a tray, not a plate. There was enough for at least two people and maybe three. It was delicious. However they ran out of silverware, so I ate my fettuccini with plasticware so they get 4.5 stars.

Great food, friendly service, excellent selection of on tap beers - the Jo Jos are phenomenal. Fish tacos were a bit fishy - sushi was excellent and the smoked Mac n cheese was scrumptious. 10/10 would recommend.

There was a blonde rude waitress that we asked to switch sections she was so rude. Once we switched sections the waitress was amazing and the food was fantastic! I would highly recomend!

Food is decent, portions are usually pretty good on most things. Sushi rolls are tiny and overpriced compared to the local competition. Doesnt do sample flights of beers, even when they do a tap takeover.

At first I enjoyed there food but towards the end I got really sick me and my friend both got food poisoning I ended up throwing up right before my big softball tournament and we both already have stomach problems and she was in the bathroom 90% of the night and I’ve never got food poisoning before so... definitely do not recommend if you have stomach problems

This place is the by far the worst Happy Day restaurant. The only thing worse than the food was the service. When our meals were brought to the table, nobody bothered to clear the empty dishes from our salads and appetizers. I ended up busing our table myself. The food was sub par. Ribs were dry and chewy, mashed potatoes had so much salt they were inedible, the tempura prawns had chunks of dry batter, the loaded baked potato came with only cheese and butter (no bacon or sour cream like the picture showed) and we couldnt even let them know how unsatisfied we were because the server never came back to check on us. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Definitely not up to Happy Day standards. Bruce would have been appalled. I am all about supporting local restaurants, but there are many other options within the Happy Day corporation that are far superior to Zanys. The only reason I am even giving 1 star is because Google wont allow me to post a review with zero stars.

This place was great. We went because we heard about the train inside. Our kids loved the train. They all took turns hitting the button. The food was also great. The only issue we had was our sandwich was supposed to be a bacon, lettuce, tomato,Avacado sandwich. They brought it out without avacado. But when we brought it to their attention they quickly fixed it. We will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is about what you would expect from a “sports bar”; noisy and distracting with screens everywhere. Great, if this is want you’re looking for. It appeared to me that the salmon (sushi) had been frozen, but the waitress assured me it was fresh - and it was good, even if the portions were small. The burger I ordered was tasty and the onion rings were outstanding. I’d give it 4.5 stars, not perfect but good. Definitely worth a visit.Update: so according to owner response below, I was correct about the salmon being frozen. So the waitress lied. Owner claims “all raw fresh to be consumed must be frozen per FDA”. Nope. This just means they are buying sub-par fish that is not sushi grade. I have been eating sushi for over thirty years at some of the best places in this country and none of them freeze their fish. In fact, I’ve only encountered this a handful of times. It’s a way to save money. Changing my rating to 3 stars.Note to owner: next time, just own it. Making excuses for mediocre service doesn’t work. Making excuses for your food quality is worse.

Great place to eat but can get pretty crouded. There is often a wait for a table around dinner time on the weekends. You can also seat yourself at the sushi bar (you can order off the normal menu at the sushi bar). They offer good burgers and sushi. They also have a wondefful gentleman come in who does balloon animals on Tuesdays. This is a great way to wait for your food. It is fun for kids and adults. I go here regularly with my husband.
