A couple years ago I bought a new MF 1734 from DM, Randy Peters being the salesman. Last year I had what i thought a pretty major problem. I informed Randy, and Guy the Manager. It took Guy about a day or less to find a solution for me, and between Guy, Randy, and Craig in the Service they took more than good care of me. I would and will suggest thatif you need a new machine, or work done on what you have Diesel Machine in Lewiston is the place to go.

Dropped my tractor off and told them what I needed repaired, massive oil leaks, it`s popping out of 4x4 when engaged and while you have it apart you may as well replace the clutch, and check everything out because I don`t want to have to have it split again because something was missed. After at least a month it was taken into the shop to start the repairs. Stopped in one day to see how things were progressing, and was told, we couldn`t get it out pop out of 4 wheel drive when we drove it. Now in my opinion that really makes no difference whether or not it pops out on them, I`m the operator of the machine and should know if it pops out of gear or not. The vise grips I removed right in front of them on the lever should have been an indication. After a few more weeks I`m told it`s finished. Find out that they never even looked into the 4x4 problem and only replaced one seal, and the clutch.After just a short time of running the tractor it`s leaking oil like a sieve still and immediately popped out of 4x4.Call them back, am told to bring it back.A few more weeks,, am told that they found more seals bad, and some bolts missing, and the reason it`s popping out of gear. I state that if you had done what I had asked in the first place wouldn`t have you discovered all of this then? Yes. I am told. I`m told at this point of the issue with the 4x4 lever and am told it`s a common problem with Fords and Massey. WOW! couldn`t believe my ears! Somehow they felt compelled to charge me for all the labor of splitting the tractor again, and finally supposedly fixing the 4x4 issue.After only a very short time of operating the tractor at home, it still pops out of 4x4 when engaged, and has the vise grips back on the lever to hold it in gear.In the end I paid twice to have the tractor split, when I feel I should have only had to pay for the other seals and the lever the second time around, even though the new lever did nothing. I was even told as I was loading the tractor, in a rather angry tone I might add, I could have charged you more!, He had at least ten more hours in it.Take your machine here at your own risk. Don`t expect much, other than to get raped, and you`ll be fine. $5400.00 bucks for a clutch and a few oil seals. Good luck. This place has no integrity.
