So much invetory! You could barely walk around in there. Which at times was difficult as I was holding a car seat. Pricing was decent, however not everything was labeled. The sales guy was nice, and knowledgeable about where items were.

Went in to buy a recliner. We were there 2 weeks ago but there were no prices and the only salesperson was busy. Went back today and same thing, no prices. When I mentioned I don’t like to guess at prices the salesperson said Well, you can come back in two and maybe they’ll still be here. Since he doesn’t care if he gets a sale, we left and won’t be back.

This place is the only one around with decent prices and same day or next day delivery.We have never had an issue with the staff, all are friendly and helpful and dont hover over you as you look around.The furniture isnt laid out like a big furniture store, but thats to be expected, this seems to be an outlet type of store, which is fine with us. We have basically bought all of our furniture from here after we moved back up north from out of state (& sold all our old furniture before moving).Only issue we had was the the dresser to our bedroom set doesnt match, it looks yellow compared to the white bedroom set. Theyre ordering us a new one, though they said it could take up to 6 months to get the order in. Will update this review once we get the new matching dresser.

For the love of god change your commercials pleaseeeeee. Honestly though, the commercials are the sole reason that I would never purchase anything there!! The same annoying (repetitive) over and over and over! I have gotten to the point that I just change the station when I hear it 🙄🙄

I called the store and 3 hours later I had a brand new bed. I wanted the Lexington mattress set, I wasnt let down. I slept so soundly . I got a quality made bed for my money. The speedy delivery was the best.

I looked at 5 or 6 different places for a sectional. This place had the best prices and were able to deliver same day for only $49.

My parents bought a mattress, box spring, frame and Warrenty from them it didnt even last a year. They called about their Warrenty and were told that it would take almost a month to see if it would be honored. Now my parents have no mattress.

Little dissapointed the prices are the same as the big stores. Lots of nice furniture. I expected lower prices based on the name of the place.

The man we spoke with was great, was able to barter with him till we were both happy.

Thank You to Chapter 11 in Lewiston for there unending patience and customer service.We purchased a couch and recliner yesterday for our developmentally disabled adult nephew. After three failed attempts to deliver, at no fault of Chapter 11, furniture arrived today.I am just amazed how patient, Luis and others (sorry I didnt get your names) were with my nephew during this, now comical fiasco. All is good in the world and you guys renewed my faith in the world.

I saw the Chapter 11 AD on tv for the Main street location in Lewiston and we decided to take a drive and see if they had any dining room tables. What we saw was an old run down trashy dirty tiny store about a 1/4 of the size of the one in the ad. There are no rows and rows of chairs all nice and organized or numerous huge L Shaped sectional sofas. There are not numerous mattress displays on bed frames like we saw in the ad. The store just had a few things spread around but dont expect much! There is minimal stock displayed in the store. There are things half put together at best and just thrown in there. Your lucky if there were 5 dining tables in the whole place. There are maybe 3 partial bedroom sets. You will not see what you see in their ad. I dont recommend this store at all

I called about a week and a half ago to ask about a bedroom set I saw in their commercial and on their website. I was told that set was out of stock, and they wouldn’t be getting more because of covid. I stopped in yesterday to look for something else, and they had the exact bedroom set just inside the door.I walked the entire store before 4-5 staff finally came out of the back room, all maskless. I left after that, and I’ll never go back.

Wish I could give them negative stars. They took advantage of a disabled adult and then were supposed to refund the amount charged on a Friday when brought it back and before I got home they charged the card again over $500 for a junk cardboard type dresser. They charged twice for the same thing and were supposed to refund it just isnt right to do that. Then called them and the owner was supposed to call back and has been about a week and they will not return calls. Worst place Ive ever been in and the customer service there is a joke! They were rude and they do not want to make anything right. They laughed when the disabled adult wanted a refund for something that was overpriced to begin with and fought me helping the disabled adult. They should get shut down!!

I’ve made several purchases from Chapter 11, the furniture and service thus far has been great. This could have and should have been a 5 star rating.While considering the purchase of a couch set and bed frame, the owner told me I could finance the set; no interest if purchased within 90 days. Sounds great to me, he got me set up on his iPad filling out the necessary form. Super easy. He warned me that if I took longer than 90 days, I would start seeing fees. No biggie, I’ll pay it off in a couple weeks.As it turns out, I had to pay $70 for the “interest free” financing, which was called a finance charge on the receipt. Still no biggie to me, the 90 days made it worth it.After logging into the payment portal online, I realized that, in fact, it is NOT 90-day internet free financing. The full balance of what I owed was listed at the top, as a “90 day early payment amount”. I have 90 days to pay the balance of my purchase, or the purchase price of the items will double. Also,I will be paying a $60 “renters fee” every Friday until the full balance is paid. The $60 does not deduct from the “early payment amount” - it is just a fee going to the financing company and not lowering the balance.I am fortunate that I am able to pay this off immediately, and avoid all of the astronomical fees and costs. I can’t even imagine how many people, hard for cash, go into that establishment, and are taken advantage of with predatory lending practices.Very shady - a stain on what would have been an excellent experience. This could have been avoided with proper advertising - explain that it is a FURNITURE LEASE and that there WILL be costs involved - you cannot advertise it as a no-cost payment option.Also - I was promised a Tuesday delivery, Wednesday at the latest. No cancelation notice from the company - I had to call on Wednesday evening to find out they would not be coming until Thursday. When they eventually did arrive, they told us that they were not able to unwrap set up the furniture like they normally do, due to COVID. They said this as they were standing inside my house without masks on.So many easy things missed in this experience - there just needs to be a bit more integrity in the salesmanship.

If I could rate this place no stars I would because they are so unprofessional and have the worst furniture out there. At first they didn’t even deliver us the right furniture so they had to take it all back, when we got The next furniture hall some of it was right and the others were not what we ordered or what we ordered but different style and shades, plus it was broken!!! They said they would come back and fix what was broken. A few days go by and nothing so we decided to call them. They proceeded to ether ignore the calls or literally hung up on us. It may sound like we were terrible customers but we weren’t we let them take their time, we were very understanding, we didn’t even care that they delivered us the wrong furniture. We told them it was no rush. What was Uncalled for and what we got so mad about is the ignoring and if anyone did answer they were rude or hung up before even talking. We spent a good chunk of money here to be disrespected and receive our product broken. The company must have said “we need all the worst people who don’t know anything about customer decency and are good with not being bothered by the people paying for the furniture and could care less about the quality. We need you all here at chapter 11 furniture.” Don’t waste your time and your money here go somewhere with good quality furniture and good customer service.

Order a bed for my son in 2019 for christmas. They didnt deliver it and in January covid hit so they were closed. They finally opened and I set up 4 delivery days, starting in july 2020, with no call, no shows. Not sure what to do now. Its 2021 now, and They wont answer my calls and the store seems closed. Im on disability and cant afford to replace money that looks like I may have lost. Would post ZERO stars if I could.Please, do yourself a favor and DONT order from these crooks.

Bought a $700 mattress. In just over a year it was sagging, disformed, and uncomfortable. Then my cat ripped the box spring and I could see that the wooden frame inside had cardboard, yes just cardboard covering the top where the mattress sits! Would never buy from them again. The only thing their mattresses may be good for is a guest room that gets used once a year.

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE!! TOTAL SCAM!!! I came in here 4 years ago looking for a new mattress set, picked out one after trying a couple of sets, and everything seemed really easy and pleasant. Only weird thing was they couldnt give me a definite time when it would be delivered, but I dont have a lot of experience buying new furniture, so I didnt think too much about it.And that was it.Called them after a few weeks, was told they would call back, never heard back. Called again, they wouldnt even pick up the phone. During business hours. Called periodically over the course of the next 6 MONTHS, could never get anyone to even tell me where my mattress set was, let alone if it was ever going to be delivered. I even called the Better Business Bureau to report them, only to find that they already have an F rating & a history of doing this sort of thing. Long story short, after 4 years, I still dont have a new mattress set, and I am out almost $500 that I seriously doubt Ill ever get back. This company is a bunch of thieves, dont give them your money, youll get robbed

Be cautious of where you buy. This is my second purchase from Chapter 11. First experience was nothing out of the ordinary. Picked out a couch, purchased couch, couch was delivered. End of June 2018, returned for another furniture purchase. Even commented to Sales rep that this was our second purchase. Picking out the couch was fine, purchased for less then sticker price, according to the sales rep. Was informed couch had a 2 year warranty for any issues that may occur, great. No more then two weeks after couch was delivered the back cushion separated from the frame of the couch. Called them was asked to bring picture of issue, done. Due to schedule conflicts from both parties we were not able to meet until the first week of August- that was fine. Set a date was given a rough estimate of time. Chapter 11 was a no call no show. I was dodged from August 2018 til March 2019. I called, I stopped in, I called, stopped in, wrote emails. Asking to speak with the Manager, whom I was not able to connect with until November/December. I introduced myself- he had said I havent heard of this my reply I havent heard of you. I called twice a week from that point forward and continued to speak with the, then, manager. In my opinion, continued to get the run around. Issue is no longer there due to the fact I was able to swap out my defect couch with a completely different couch. However point being: lack of to no communication, not warranting a warranty, disrespectful due to fact it took 8 months to solve issue, take no responsibility for their poor performance towards customer... I will not be returning to Chapter 11, I dont see them being saddened by this- to me it showed they did not care for me as a customer after the initial purchase was made. I warn anyone that is looking for a reputable business, Chapter 11 is not that.

I have purchased a couch and love seat from them. Three weeks later still waiting on the love seat. It was suppose to be delivered to me within seven to ten business days. They will not call me to let me know where my love seat is or return my calls. When I go in, they tell me that it is coming in within a few days. I was going to purchase more furniture but I will never purchase from them again. Matt delivered the love seat. He did the job all by himself. I don’t know how they expected him to pick up a sectional couch to take back (5 pieces) by himself. He was an exceptional worker!!!! By far the best employee there!!!!

I ordered a queen size all solid wood platform storage bed. They promised delivery on a Monday. By Wednesday it was delivered. They refused to put it together when they delivered it. It wasnt put together until yesterday, the day after it was delivered. They promised in the morning. The guy didnt arrive until 5:30 pm & didnt finish it till 7:30pm. I got the run around on delivery & then on assembly. I had to keep calling till they actually did what they promised. If it was possible to give no stars, then I would. I strongly urge people not to go there. The furniture is nice & lasts a long time. But its not worth the hassle you get for delivery & assembly. Im never buying anything from them ever again

Leased a $700 Mattress and all in all ended up paying at least $200 more and got the mattress paid off within the month of getting it. Was told the price of $700 and there would be NO interest if the mattress was paid off within 90 days. There are fees for EVERYTHING. They even charged me $10 just for wanting to pay the mattress off EARLY. Ridiculous. They’ll charge you for anything they possibly can. If you do get anything from them, DONT LEASE. NOT worth it. Love my mattress but don’t like feeling jipped and lied to!

Do not purchase furniture from this place! I bought a sectional from them, one of the recliners broke and I called them to get it repaired. My first call was in July, it’s now October and it’s still not fixed! They dodge calls, tell you they’ll send someone out “tomorrow” or “Monday” (no one shows up) Honestly, you’d have better luck catching a one legged unicorn than getting Paul or Bob to follow through or return a phone call.

82 year old Korean war vet ripped off by Chapter 11 in Lewiston, ME. He had a 702 area code and the store admitted they thought it was a local Maine number with a 207 area code and they did not dial the 702 area code when they tried to call. Instead of delivering the furniture, they said they couldn’t reach the vet and it was the vet’s fault. The vet phoned the number on the store’s receipt and it was an old, disconnected number. The vet went to a different store for a bed because he was sleeping on the floor and thought Chapter 11 went out of business. Chapter 11 will not refund his $2 637.43! These people are crooks and thieves and they have robbed a SENIOR CITIZEN who served our country in the Korean War. This is outrageous and if you need furniture, the best place to go is the Super Furniture store in Lisbon. They are professional and have a high regard for vets. Stay far, far away from chapter 11 as you run a high risk of getting ripped off!!!!

Once bitten twice shy. I have now purchased two mattresses there. The first one we tried in the store was what we were looking for comfort and price wise. When it was delivered it didnt seem right. We slept on it one night and it was harder than the floor. I brought it back and asked if theyre had been a mistake. They swore it was correct and i ended up paying more for a tolerably matress. Jump forward 8 years. Gave them another opportunity and got the same experience! Not the matress we tried in the showroom. Didnt bother to bring it back because I was hoping it would get better. It hasnt, I wish I had gone somewhere different. Buyer beware.

I ordered a box springs. I thought I was getting a deal at $99. But they delivered the wrong product. They delivered a foundation. I could have got this elsewhere for $60. I called to complain and the basis excuse was that is what everyone does. They are furniture store that doesn’t know the difference between a box spring and a foundation? “Well we cal order real box springs for $199” they said, so imho, they knew they were selling me the wrong product and didn’t care. The recite says Full Box, not a foundation or a platform. Definitely won’t be buying from them again. I think they need to send their salesmen to furniture 101class so they can understand what furniture is.

I purchased a lounge chair on Saturday July 14, 2018. I was told that the chair would be delivered on Monday July 16. It did not get delivered. There was someone at home all day. They did not call either but they claim that they came and no one was at home and they would deliver today. I called at 12:23 PM this afternoon and was told that they would check and call me back. It is now 3:39 and still nothing. I want a refund and cancel the order and the AD claims of same day delivery are completely false.

I bought my bemco set 15 years ago from chapter 11. It was the best mattress ever. Recently I was shopping for a new mattress . I made the mistake of going some place else. .Spent way to much and wasnt happy at all. Not only that I had to wait over a week to have it delivered. I slept on their matteress for a week and I was so disappointed. They only refunded me half my money back. So I went back to chapter 11 and spoke to Bob the owner. Asked if they had my old mattress brand and to my surprise they did! Just updated. I received my mattress the very next day! I suggest going to chapter 11 for a great mattress, at half the price of those known name brands. With a lot more options to choose from. You wont regret it!

Selection limited to mattresses, DR and LR furniture.I had given this establishment 5 stars initially, but after delivery I decided to change it.The sectional arrived with a rip in one corner, then the movers proceeded to damage part of one doorway and part of my kitchen, which further damaged the sectional.I spoke to an employee the day of the incident expressing my dismay, and he assured me that he would forward my complaint to the owner, Bob, and that a replacement sectional would be issued.When I called on Monday and spoke to Bob he stated he had never received the information and that he would call me back. I have him my number but never heard from him. I therefore issued a dispute claim with my bank for that coat of the sectional, moving fee, and applicable sales tax.

Went in Saturday morning, bought a bed, had it delivered within about 10 minutes i think it was. He even brought it in the apartment for me (second floor) I helped because the stairs turned and it was awkward. But yeah, cheap and easy and fast. Cant do much better than that.

In the last 2 years I have purchased 2 Mattress sets one of the mattress sets i bought they were out of in the size i wanted, they upgraded me to the next size for free and gave me a brand new bed frame and a set of sheets for my inconvenience (wow), in addition i purchased, a bed, and a reclining loveseat. Each experience has been fantastic. No high pressure salesman chasing you around but still close enough to quickly respond when you have questions. The staff is always polite and friendly. Delivery is free and usually same day. The only time i didnt get same day delivery was the one time i went in and made my purchase 15 minutes before they closed. Everything i have purchased has been great quality at super affordable prices. It is the only place Ill buy furniture.

Went to get a coffee table. I called ahead but by the time i got there an hour later it was gone. I was told they may be able to have another one the next day. The color and style wasnt the same but i was ok with that. I asked if the price would still be $199 and if it came assembled and was told a positive yes. 3 weeks later they finally had some in. I had to call even though i was told theyd be calling me. Im then told the table is now $299 and id have it in an hour. 3 hours later it comes, in the box, completely disassembled.

If I could give 0 stars I would. After looking online for ever we decided to go with chapter 11 for our bedroom set. I walk in the door, take a look around and choose one. I ask the gentlemen how much it was and he asked what size and I CLEARLY told them a FULL SIZE . Today they come and deliver it, we put it all together and its a QUEEN bed frame. When we called to let them know they delivered the wrong bed frame they told us all sales were final and we couldnt return it. They told us that if we wanted a fullsize it would be an ADDITIONAL $100 for a size SMALLER than a queen. While theyre on the other line laughing about how upset we were. God awful customer service. I would NOT recommend chapter 11 to ANYONE. Bedderest near tjmaxx in Auburn is a little pricey but you get great quality customer service and a money back guarantee .

1.5 years ago I ordered a queen memory foam mattress and had to wait over 2 months even tho I ordered a month in advance to set up delivery. Finally after 4 months I got action......so I wouldnt even give them 1 star but I have to to comment!

I called Thursday the 15th asking if they had a white bunk bed in stock. I was told no but it would be in Friday the 16th. I called Friday the 16th still had not come in but would be in Saturday the 17th. Went to the store Saturday and they still were not it. Ordered them and was told it shouldnt be more than a few days. Called them Saturday the 24th was told the bunk beds came in to their warehouse and would be in the store later that same day and I would be called that evening. No call. I called the store Sunday the 25th was told Im just a sales person you must have been speaking with the boss he will be in in 45 minutes I will have him call you as soon as he comes in. Two hours later still no call so I called back. Was given attitude about how the sales person was not sure when my beds would be in and they could possibly be on back order which would mean he could not tell me when they would be in but PROMISED he would give me a call first thing Monday morning. By noon time Monday still had not gotten a call and went to the store for a refund. Sales person had no interest in what I had to say and swore several times because he couldnt find a pen for me to sign my refund slip. After leaving the store I ordered the same beds on amazon for CHEAPER with a guaranteed 3 day delivery. Should have done that to begin with. Worst customer service ever I would NOT recommend Chapter 11 to anyone unless they want the run around.

My boyfriend and I went in to get a king size bed I picked one out 1000 and it come to my house a week later I take the plastic off set on it not my mattress at all its hard and you can feel the springs I call them no one answered called back 2 time still no answer the next day same thing after a week of that I go in they tell me to go home and send them a pic of the bed I got gave me a number so I did and still no response and now Im stuck with a bed I hate so upset
