I traveled over two hours to buy a preowned vehicle that they had spent $1200 putting through the shop to make right. I spent $15,000 and by the time I got him some of the lights no longer worked and the steering was bound and making grinding noises. Not even 150 miles later. Obviously they are not going to pay for it since they only cover 50% of engine transmission and drive line. Don’t go out of your way to do business here, just because they have the name Bobby Rahal doesn’t mean they have the integrity.

A superb experience. I had configured the vehicle I wanted and took it to Rahal. I had done research and the first offer they gave me was excellent and exceeded my expectations. There was no let me talk to my sales manager or let me make a phone call or letting me sit there for an hour ramping up my anxiety. I took the paper to other dealerships and they could not match Rahals offer (and got a lot of let me talk to my manager and let me make a phone call). My build was not in stock and they searched for the exact car I wanted without success. They took it to the factory for a custom build and the factory turned them down. They did locate a similar build and I compromised on a non-crucial difference and Rahal was able to do a swap with another dealer for my car. And even though the list price on the located car was higher than my build due to additional options, Rahal stood by the deal they had given me. When I went to accept delivery on the vehicle, they had it in the showroom! Nice touch. It only took about 45 minutes to drive the car away - another first as you are usually sitting around a long time getting all the paperwork done. All of the personnel I dealt with at Rahals were friendly, accommodating, and there was no - as in zero - pressure applied at any time. Ive bought a lot of new cars and this was far and away the best buying experience Ive ever encountered. I highly recommend the Rahal Lewistown dealership.

Like most people, buying a new vehicle can be nerve wracking. The haggle, the back and forth, endless hours at the dealer(s). We went in knowing what we wanted. Brand, style, color, amenities. They had a similar vehicle we test drove but just didnt feel right. Simon was professional and kept on it to make the transaction relaxed and comforting. We discussed what we wanted and how to get there with a 2021 Tacoma vs 2020 they had stocked. The wait would be over 30 days, but they would pre purchase the trade in now and payed well over other dealerships quoted. Simon ended up calling me only after a couple weeks and they pulled the date in. We went in and were more than impressed with the truck and price point. Michelle, in the finance team was quick and made the paperwork easy. This was a great purchase and the best experience that could be hoped for. No stress, they have everything organized up front and money details worked out so you come in sign the papers and out in about an hour time. If we need to trade the truck we will be back to Bobby Rahal and see Simon for sure.

I’d been watching this car online for a few months, and when I had a day off made the move to go look. Scott met me on the lot, gave me all the information I needed including CarFax history and offered a test drive right off the bat. The team made themselves prepared, worked with my bank directly, and handled everything via phone with I believe two calls - making the pick up date super easy. On 1/13/2020 I purchased a 2013 Toyota Prius with 98000 miles on it. On the test drive I noticed a pretty good amount of vibration in the car that was not just in the steering wheel. I mentioned this to the salesperson figuring it would be taken care of. I made an appointment to return the next day (1/14) to have the wheels balanced. I went back had the work done and the car felt the same on the my drive home so I immediately called the sales manager. He told me the service department would call me to make an appointment in the morning (1/15). I did not hear back so I had to call them which I did on Friday (1/17). I took the car in on Tuesday (1/21) and told the service advisor the vibration felt unrelated to the tires. They looked it over and told me the tires were to blame and sent me home with a car I paid $10,000 that has a pretty serious vibration. Now I have made a very inconvenient appointment ($97 diagnostic fee) at Joel Confer Toyota to have it looked at before the 100,000 mile hybrid system warranty expires. A used car sold at a Toyota/Lexus dealership should be 100% ready to go. So far I have had to flush the cooling system and replace the cabin filter and make 3 trips to two different dealerships. Because of the amount I drive the warranty ($100 deductible then you pay half and they pay half) Bobby Rahal provides for 1,000 miles will be useless to me.

I decided that it was time to trade in my 10 y.o. Lexus RX 350 for a new Lexus. The problem I encountered was, where do I go? My husband found Bobby Rahal Toyota/Lexus dealership which is about an hour drive from our house. What a great dealership! Our experience was exceptional and I must say the best that I have ever encountered at a dealership! Simon assisted us with our needs. He was polite and professional. Employees at the dealership wore masks properly and followed safe hygeine practices in our current global pandemic. I felt safe shopping there with my family.I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else.May I add that on the day that I purchased my vehicle, there wasnt enough time for the service department to apply TST to my vehicle, so I made an appointment for another day. Because I live within a 60 mile radius from the dealership, they sent a driver on the day of service to pick up my vehicle. I was provided a loaner vehicle for the day and when my service was completed, my vehicle was returned to me. Jessica was AMAZING! I called her about the car I wanted but I hadnt driven that specific one and I was 40 minutes out of town and wouldnt be able to come until the next day. She got me what I needed to hold the car I loved, got me the interest rate I asked for, and spent literally almost an entire day with me getting everything squared away, including spending a lot of time actually in the car teaching me how to use the new features. I am so glad I chose to come to Lewistown, I couldnt be happier.

The test drive was so smooth and I liked the Nav screen. The controls are so easy to understand and right at your fingertips. All it takes is a touch to adjust the settings - no knobs to turn. Plus the screen is placed so that it isnt a distraction. Love the 50 mpg, the leather seats, the the responsive handling.

I have taken my cars to Rahal in Mechanicburgs for years and always had stellar service so I assumed when moving to the Lewistown area I would have the same service at the Lewistown Rahal. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong.Took my 2011 civic (which is regularly serviced) to this location to have my AC unit that went bad fixed. After having my car from close of business Friday to close of business Tuesday (due to weekend and parts), I got my car back 300$ later only to find absolutely nothing was fixed. My husband called the service department to explain the situation (he’s way nicer and more polite than me) only to be told he’d have to contact honda corporation because lewistown Rahal couldnt assist any further. When questioning the 300$ paid he was basically told ‘yeah, well, sorry about that.’ Really?! Good thing I know this business is shady so when I buy a car at year end I don’t go there. Definitely done and will make the ‘hike’ to Mechanicburg Rahal.*update: I think it is important to update this review ... while I did have to take my car to Mechanicburg anyway, Lewistown Rahal has contacted me in hopes to right the issue I had with them. While the service I received from some employees may not have been the top line, the management (GM included) does seem to hold their standards higher. So while my initial experience with their service was not great, I do believe the management does NOT wish to have their customers encounter this time of experience. In saying that, if there is an issue, reach out to their management. This definitely improves my opinion of them. And I do not think one or two apples ruin the bunch.

We had my sons toyota tundra to dealership in state college pa they said truck needed fuel ecu replaced from codes that were showing up and it would be $500 for part. I disagreed . I am an old school mechanic but understand some of new technology.So then we decided to take truck to Altoona to toyota dealer .we had some problems in past with chip monks chewing wire harnesses, so we ask them to check wire harness for damagethey charged us $297 for that and we had truck inspected and strut spring replace to pass inspection.They checked codes that were coming up and said that the transmission would have to be replaced $5200.00 I said no way I hooked up my scanner and came up with 0983 code which is s4 shift solenoid .So found Bobby Rahal on line and thought lets give it one more shot. Well third time was a charm I explained everything toDale in service dept .We got vehicle in they fixed problem with no bullreplaced the s4 shift solenoid. trucks runs awesome. Dale was awesome stayed in contact with on what was going on, the bill $900 total with full transmission fluid change NOT!!! $5200.00 do not waist time with other dealers go to Bobby Rahal they do it right!!

This is a nice little car dealership. Kinda has that country feeling. No pressure by the salesman. Everybody there was very nice and appeared to appreciate that you stopped in. They take time to get to know you and make you feel relaxed. There is no rush to do anything. They take time to answer any questions you may have. There was no pressure to buy anything. I was in Pa. from Florida and needed my car serviced at a Toyota dealership . I rely heavily on reviews and thought their service dept had great reviews. When I took my car in I take my own window was because I travel so much and need the good kind . I asked for them to please put it in . They didnt. When I got in home and did a once over around my car I noticed the cracked one of my hubcaps putting them back on after rotating my tires . I called and told them and they seemed to have a hard time understanding that if you break something on a car when it is in your possession, you need to fix it . Finally they called me back and said they would replace them but had none like were on my car that they would order me another set and would call me when they came in . They never called and 3 weeks later I called them to go and get them . When I went to pick them up, they wouldnt even put them on for me . Just handed me the box and said see ya. It was snowing that day so I just put them in the trunk . A few days later I went to put them on and when i opened the box i thought i was in a disco . Bright shiny rims . Okay, no problems . The big problem was they werent even close to the size of my wheels . I call them and the person that answered said they were not familiar with what was going on but promised to have someone call me right back and have them make things right . That was 6 months ago and havent heard back from them yet . And to think I was going to buy a new Toyota truck from them ... Nope !
