Found the perfect dress as MOB and 19 months later got to wear it! (Covid).So helpful and timely too. Only wish they did the alterations

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A ZERO I WOULD.I visited this store in May to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress. The appointment went okay we walked in already knowing what dress I was going to try on so I basically only needed to be fitted. The girl who was helping us measured me as a size 6 and I requested a size 8 just in case to have a little wiggle room. Well it’s September and the dress doesn’t fit. Not a won’t zip up doesn’t fit but I’m a size 3/4 and this dress looks like it fits a size 0 doesn’t fit. I weighed 128 at the time of the fitting and I’m currently at 125 so it’s not me. I wish I would have read the reviews of this place before walking in because apparently it’s not the first time it’s happened.

The person that was at the counter was very rude. I told her I was looking for a pant suit or a shorter dress. She rudely told me they where mainly a long gown store. This information is not on their website. She pulled out the only pant suit they had and told me to just look at the rack.She did not ask if she could help me with any other dress.I immediately left and will never tell anyone to go to their shop.Very bad service.

Make sure to budget 2x cost of dress for total once alterations are done if you rely on them for a fitting. The fitters are young and not educated and instead focused on making a sale. My wife went for a bridesmaid fitting as she will be 8 months pregnant at the wedding she is in. They put her into a dress that wouldnt fit at 5 months pregnant, and insisted that particular dress would be right in that size. When contacted and offered the opportunity to make the situation right by helping with the cost of alterations, they accused my wife of insisting she size down. Do not recommend unless you already know the exact size and dress you need.

We had a great experience at Besides the Bride. Their primary focus is Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaids like their name states. However, they have the sample Bridal gowns from their sister store (Bridal Boutique.) Maria was very sweet, personable and professional. My family and I loved her. Great prices too!

Many of my friends recommended Beside the Bride to me for my Mother of Bride dress. I absolutely loved their selection of dresses and they were organized by color and had many options for me to try on! The young woman that helped me was very knowledgable having a background in fashion and even worked previously in NYC! She helped me narrow down between my two favorite dresses and I cant wait to wear it to my daughters wedding this fall! Highly recommend Beside the Bride not only for their selection of dresses but also the very nice and knowledgable staff.

I will never go anywhere else to buy my formal dresses! Ive gotten dresses here for multiple weddings and formal events Ive attended to and have never been let down. The staff is SO helpful and really take into account what youre looking for. The store is super cute and clean and they make you feel right at home with their warm hospitality. 10/10 would recommend and definitely worth the drive if you dont live in the Lewisville area.

BEWARE OF BESIDE THE BRIDE.To start this review off I would like to commend Maria for her attempt to help us with our dresses that were sized/made wrong. Maria was professional and the only bright spot in our experience here.We ordered three bridesmaid dresses in August after being fitted for them here. They arrived the first week of December (for a January 16th micro wedding) and all three of them didn’t fit. They were unable to be zipped in the back on all three of them. Beside the Bride tried to blame us and say that we all gained weight (at first). My girlfriend and I had both lost 8-10 pounds in preparation for this January wedding. We went for another fitting in which Maria measured us again (two of us) and she said that per the measurements taken before, all the dresses should fit. She thought it was a manufacturer error because she said the dimensions should fit us. The problem here is that Maria has no authorization to refund us so she needed to call the owner Jill. This was on a Saturday. Maria called Jill during our appointment and expressed that they would contact their rep and get back to us with a refund resolution by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.Tuesday comes (the week of Christmas) and we still have heard nothing. I made a call and spoke to Maria who still says Jill will call us back later today. (Jill refused to ever meet with us or speak to me or any of the bridesmaids.) I call back again a few hours later and speak to Maria again. I ask that the bride please no longer be bothered and if Jill could please call me back. Jill then calls the bride and tells the bride that they won’t be refunding any of her bridesmaids because we signed off on their measurements. Jills solution for us to have bridesmaid dresses for the January 16th wedding was for us to take them to get them altered ourselves to have more fabric put in the back. What I gather from this is that Jill was aware of everything that was going on but simply did not want to refund or admit fault. She was making Maria do all her dirty work because Maria didn’t have authorization to give us refunds.Bottom line is that Maria remeasured us, said our dresses should fit, went to Jill, Jill strung us along with the prospect of a refund and then on December 22 (wedding is January 16th) told us that her only solution was to take our faulty dresses and go get them altered ourselves. Yikes!

We chose to use Beside the Bride for our daughters wedding which took place at The Laurel in October. We worked closely with Maria in ordering all bridesmaids dresses and coordinating the mailing and pick up of dresses. Maria was so easy to work with and her attention to detail spot on. She took a personal interest in all the dresses and made sure all girls were taken care of. We highly recommend this location for bridesmaid dresses for sure. Thanks, Maria! Roz Hyland

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my bridesmaid dress here. Sara was extremely competent in helping me find the perfect dress and made the experience peaceful and enjoyable. She was very attentive and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I left the store very pleased. I would definitely recommend this boutique and plan to return in the future myself!

When we got to Beside the Bride, we did not have an appointment and Terry took time out to help us and pick out options for my mother in law to look at and try on. She was so kind and helpful and made it a great experience. If you go in, ask for her! We had a great time and found several outfits that my MIL is considering purchasing. Thank you, Terry!

What an amazing experience!! I was warmly welcomed by the staff! I went in and found the dress I needed in a dash! Sasha was my consultant and she was every bit as helpful.She pulled my bridal parties dress and had me measured and I was checked out in less then 30 minutes! It was that easy!

My Mom & I had an appointment with Terry to help my Mom find a dress for my wedding. Terry was absolutely wonderful – she listened to what my mom’s “ideal dress” was & pulled options accordingly. The process was quick & easy & she found the perfect dress for my mom!

Beside the Bride has the best selection of dresses, whether it is for a wedding or black tie affair! I found so many it was hard to decide which dress to purchase. Terry Onstot was my sales person and she is amazing. She knows her stuff! The dress I ended up buying was not even one I would have picked off the rack. She brought it in the room and asked my to just try it on. It was the one I picked!!! She knows her merchandise and can match to your body type and style! She hit it right on the nail! Beside the Bride and Terry will be might go to place for a party dress.

Very nice little shop. Staff was nice. Unfortunately they dont carry bigger sizes that I needed to try on. Im usually a 26 -28 and the highest they could find for me to try on was a 24 in 1 dress and 2 dresses in a size 20. So I was a little left out in the trying on of things.

Could not have been more pleased with my experience at Beside the Bride. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgable, and only concerned with my satisfaction. They were honest and worked diligently to find a dress that was flattering, stylish and affordable. I must admit, I looked amazing in my dress!! Diane Baum was awesome at making me feel like a queen for my daughters wedding. She helped me with shoes and jewelry too! She really accented my pros and played down my cons. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to look their very best! Thank you so much sweet lady!

I have to say, Maria (sales associate) is FABULOUS. I live in Minnesota, and will be attending my best friends wedding as a bridesmaid in Colorado & she got her dress at BTB. It was a nerve-racking experience ordering correct sizing/completing the order process as this was all new for me. Maria was available via e-mail EVERY step of the way as I was navigating things in Saint Paul. Wonderful experience. Go to Maria!

Beside The Bride is a fairly new business and is for sure the go to for Mom of the groom or bride dresses, brides maid dresses, and even prom dresses. I am in my 50s and brought 7 of my childhood friends there to shop for 2 Mom of the brides dresses. The staff there made our experience a fun and memorable time. Its nice to be waited on by Diane and Terri who have that talent of choosing dresses for every figure and the etiquette along with the honesty of delivering a service you dont often see in specialty shops. And we loved the pairing of the Soreli jewelry with the dresses. Keep up the good work ladies!

Have been shopping with my mom for a few months to find her a mother of the bride dress...We have looked multiple places in the Houston area with no luck. No stores or bridal boutiques had a large enough selection to choose from nor the right color (needed a beige/brown toned dress, who knew it was so rare!?)Finally found Beside The Bride while searching on Google...I am SO glad I did! Their selection was very good!! We drove 3.5 hours to the store, and we did find a perfect mother of the bride dress! Terry was very helpful to my mom, and not overbearing like you find at other bridal shops. Thanks so much, Beside the Bride!

Unfortunately, the staff didnt even pay attention to our bridal party. We had to look for them to ask questions. It was almost like they didnt want us to buy anything from them. We were so excited to look for our bridesmaid dresses but sadly we didnt get any help here.

While the dress selection was good the service was horrible. We had an appointment at 10:00 and the store attendants watched us arrive and stand outside the front door while it remained locked until 10:05. With a glass front door we could see the employees standing at the front desk doing their hair while we were forced to wait outside. It was overall extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming compared to the other bridal/bridesmaids salons in the area. I would highly suggest venturing downtown to Bella Bridesmaids instead, they had an even larger selection, with a beautiful store and wonderful staff. The same dress found at beside the bride also ran $20 cheaper at Bella.

We had a wonderful experience this morning shopping for the Mother of the Groom dress! Miranda was so helpful and genuine. She helped us find the perfect dress!!

I went this past saturday to this boutique ready to find my bridesmaids dresses and unfortunately the customer service was poor quality. We went well before closing time, but yet still felt that they were rushing us out. I wanted to order a dress for my maid of honor and the lady attending us put every excuse possible as to why the dress wouldnt get here in time even if I paid extra to rush it! We decided to go elsewhere and I found the same dress and came out cheaper at Terry Costa. They were rude and very unprofessional. Dont recommend coming here as a Bride or bridesmaid if you want to enjoy your experience.

This is the worst place Ive been to. From the get go the lady said oh we wont have dresses that will fit your bridesmaid. Did not introduce herself. Belittled me when I took a picture of a dress and told me how I wasnt going to find it online you can only order here. Well okay? I want to keep the style in mind? I wasnt going to go look it up.

Awful experience! Zero customer service. We walked in and was chastised by an older woman behind the counter, because we did not have an appointment.... What an awful person!Other posts also point to the fact that the service is horrible!!

Very poor customer service! I went with my my sister the bride and the girls to find our bridesmaids dresses and had the worst experience. Not to mention we had called ahead of time before going to make sure we could be attended and the lady we spoke with told us to come on over that they werent that busy. Once we got there, the staff never approached us to see what we needed help with and when we did ask them for help, they treated us is as if they didnt want our business. The response I received when I wanted to try on dresses was that all the fitting rooms where full and to my suprise they were empty. What they had was another set of girls sitting outside of dressing room and drinking. When I finally found one dressing room, all the girls had to squeeze in there to try on the dresses. Once I found one I wanted to buy, the lady put every excuse possible to say even if I paid to rush it, it would come in 2 weeks before the wedding. I told her that was fine but if she could assure me if it would come by then and her response was no I cant so if you dont get it your loss. She was rude and even told me to try going to Group USA. Never in my life have I heard of a store representative to send customers to another competitior. For a so called botique, it lacks professionalism in their staff and service. So glad we took our business elsewhere where they do value their customers! Dont recommend this place if you want the bride to enjoy her experience with her bridesmaids.
