Our truck broke down and needed a new engine. We are local and loved that they were so close! We got our engine fairly quickly with all that is happening in the world. Everyone was helpful and explained all the to do and not to do with the break in procedure with a rebuilt engine. Will be using them again in the future!
Terrible customer service, terrible product, the good reviews are from them Engine 65 is Eddies email and Eric K is the other owner, they have to put up there own reviews since every customer has given them a terrible review, how is this company allowed to be in business. Its sad that they have to stack the deck.So I bought an engine that this company built, all I have to say is this engine has had old parts in the engine, was not rebuilt two of the lifters in the engine are bad, injector pump received leaking and glow plugs were used. They can say any lie that they want the fact is that this engine was not rebuilt, I bought a drop in engine, came in pieces and didnt work from the first week installed. They can blame the mechanic, they can blame everyone but the fact is that the engine was not rebuilt!!!!! I have spent over 10,000 on trying to solve the problems but I have been stuck over a dozen times because-My engine is from US ENGINES, Just because the mechanic purchased it wholesale to sell to me, the engine is still from them. If you buy a tv from Best Buy the manufacture is whom holds the warranty not Best Buy.They can lie and steal but they produced my engine, I have the warranty paperwork, who cares who bought it? They built the engine, but we know they didnt do it right, mechanic has five stars they have 1 star why??I have the original sales receipt that match the numbers on the block, those numbers are also documented on my sales receipt. If they were honest, people would be singing them praises, they have nothing, but horrible reviews. Seems like everyone that has bought from this company has had issues. If you look at there reviews it never their fault, but everyone else.
I had a bad 6.5 head and called US Engine and they said they would be able to fix it for me. Since I the head has been fixed my truck is running amazingly! So happy I went with this company!
I have purchased 2 motors for my business trucks, Eddie was very helpful and professional .he walk me through the whole process, got my motors after 2 weeksinstalled them they are running perfectly.will defiantly use this company again.
Do not waste your time and money on these guys. They are crooks who provide garbage for engines. They scam you every for every dollar they can. They don’t stand behind their work. I highly recommend another engine company. Save the headache.
I paid for an engine that was supposed to be in stock accept it wasnt. Eddie used the excuse, Another customer must have bought it while your paperwork was going through. Lies! They apparently use that lie often because others have commented here as well. After three days and no shipping info, I called to have the Eddie lie for a send time telling me it would ship Friday. Lied! Called again a week later, motor still wasnt built. Eddie promised it would go out the next day. Lied! I asked to speak to manager, Eddie said he is the manager. L called customer support and asked to speak to a manager. Support rep said he was the manager. I said no, I need to speak to the sales manager. Support rep said he was the sales manager too. I guess everyone is the manager of everybody there. I finally decided I couldnt trust these liars to build or warranty a motor. I demanded a refund. They sent an email refunding my purchase but they didnt actually refund the money. I finally had to report them for fraud.
As a quick recommendation if you don’t read any further… do NOT, I repeat… do NOT give US Engine Production your business, money, or time in any way or form, they are either incompetent and lazy or intentionally dishonest… based on the length of time they have been in business I would have to assume they are the latter. We purchased a remanufactured Caterpillar 3126 diesel engine from them early this year (Feburary, 2020). The engine was received after a reasonable length of time and was strapped down and palletized as would be expected from a heavy, medium duty engine. Installation went okay and the engine itself ran well and had no issues after our initial 150 break-in miles. So, I would give the initial experience 5 stars. Returning the core long block for credit was where the nightmare began. After waiting for a core pickup for an extended length of time, the old engine was picked up and delivered back to them. This was an engine core that was running, driving, and working well with no issues other than excess crankcase pressure and low compression on cylinder #2 after an initial compression test. Once they received the core they denied a full core credit ($2,500.00) stating the cylinder head was “bad” (had cracks, couldnt weld or fix) and another issue existed with the block (injector cup damage and that the block was destroyed). We initially requested pictures of the damage or wear with no response or acknowledgement for the next 30 days. Our only successful phone conversation in mid-summer ended with them agreeing to refund a “partial core of $800” due to the unsubstantiated “damage” but we would only accept the partial payment with photo proof of damage. This was only a verbal agreement from them, nothing was given in writing by them. They sent timely and frequent emails to us for payment and initial order, but ignored us after core return. After FIVE more months of ignored emails, non-returned phone calls and contact attempts, on October 29th 2020 the “manager” (Eddie Bonilla) responded in an email and I quote; “Pitted Cylinder head, even if you surface the cylinder head there won’t be a head gasket to overcome the surface, also the main cap off the block isn’t good.” What happened to the cracked cylinder head, now its pitted? With the refusal to send a SINGLE picture or any hard data to substantiate their claim regarding internal damage, this was completely unacceptable as the only email communication received from them about refusing to refund $2500.00! After initial purchase was complete, the staff was consistently rude, abrupt, and downright “irritated to be asked about this” during the very short phone call about this issue. As a very busy and successful light and medium duty production automotive repair shop, we have over 25 years of experience in working with dissatisfied customers and this hits every single red flag for how NOT to respond to a dispute. The poor review quality and quantity across multiple platforms either means you attract a lot of angry, unreasonable people or possibly you have very poor customer service and business practices. I have never dealt with ANY remanufactured drivetrain company (Jasper, Jet, LKQ, Motorcraft, ACDelco, etc) that has such a “screw you and go away” attitude over a core charge that is nearly 50% of the entire engine cost! We will be reporting them to the NY Better Business Bureau which they “claim” to hold an A rating with, hopefully if someone reads this it will prevent them from wasting their year chasing down a shady company.
If you are looking to waste your money on an engine and experience the worst customer service then this is your place and Eddie is your guy....Especially if you have to warranty an engine as I did....Stay away.....I beg you...
Please do yourself self and money a favor and choose another engine professional.Eddie and Steve seemed to be the only ones there you can speak too and Eddie is Very Very dishonest.
This company in short order is by far the worst customer service i have ever experienced. The General Manager, Eddie Bonilla loves to quote his frequent statement, i am doing something right, i have been here 25 years.I placed an order on Monday, December 30th for a re-manufactured engine. I asked when would it ship, although he never said he didnt have one but rather he said well it wont go out tomorrow or Wednesday because the carriers dont work holidays. One would be lead to believe it will go out Thursday. I never heard anything regarding shipping confirmation so i called Eddie on Monday. Monday he actually told me no it hasnt shipped and we have to build it. I remind you, this is the first time he is telling me this. So he says, I will check on it and call you back within an hour. I had to chase him yesterday and he says it will ship tomorrow and he would expedite the order so i the engine by Friday. i call to confirm today and they have not put the engine together yet.You absolutely cannot believe anything this man tells you. If he has been doing this for 25 years then I am really confused how he continues to be in business. On the call, he wants me to wait to hear from him until 5 pm, which it is now 3 pm; oh yea, also, keep in mind when he got on the phone with me he said HE HAD JUST SPOKE TO PRODUCTION and the engine was not even put together. I am not a mechanic but I dont know how much can change in 2 more hours. So 9 days of having $7300 and not answer on when this order would ship. I am not contacting the credit card company to ask is it legal to take a payment when you know you dont have what the customer has ordered.Bottom line: I cancelled my order. This guy/company has basically delayed my business at least a week now.IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH EDDIE, get all commitments on the order!!!Following me posting this: Eddie emailed me and threatened me with legal issues because I posted about my experience
Received an LLY 6.6 Duramax Diesel Drop-in from the boys at US Engine Productions. October, 2018 Two weeks later, November. While receiving the engine I noticed some damage that had accrued during transportation. I noted the shipping invoice, called right away, the guys at US Engine Production emailed a label to send the motor back, turn around time took a month almost to the day. The reason I had to send the LLY Duramax 6.6 back was due to poor packaging. The motor had toppled during transit then had been replaced back in the unsecured create. Second motor I received from US Engine Production was shipped correctly, but had an issue with the fuel system after 20,000 miles. All the injectors were dirty, there was rust in the high pressure rail, and the fuel pump efficiency was down to less than 75% due to ware. I had to reinvest $8,000 to replace the used fuel system suggested by the salesmen as reconditioned when purchased.Next issue, 30,000 miles, coolant running off the back of the motor. My Career long certified mechanic from the Chevrolet dealership second time seeing the US Engine Productions reconditioned engine who has dealt with these underline issues continuously For twenty years, referred to the LLY Duramax diesel 6.6 as a “throw together” must be kids learning how to build engines”. Then continuing by exclaiming the gasket kit was for the LZB Duramax” causing Oil seepage issues, wrong Gasket kits, the EGR gasket had been put on backwards caused a coolant leak, as well as referring to the Turbo as improperly installed, with bad seals. More so yet, that the Turbo had been eating oil the whole time during operation, “I wasn’t surprised.“I noticed pressure on the reservoir cap at 23,000 miles into operation after installation, signs of failures during the building process. So the turbo, heads, oil cooler and EGR will have to be corrected as well. I will have to make another five thousand dollar investment to have the motor redone correctly.I realize that an education is necessity, and that it takes time to correctly learn how to erect dependable, reliable, efficient machines that will transport property from point A to B for the five hundred thousand miles, The expected life of the LLY Duramax Diesel, after thousands of dollars of fuel expenses what we hope “the naïve“ with relatively low reinvestment for maintenance and upkeep, to achieve. Being a technician myself I realize that there’s every opportunity to make improvements in the way that trainees hone skills in the world of repair. I offered US Engine Production a chance to bring the components back for show and tale in hope that they as a company would care to improve. The rep told me that “it was past the warranty, and didn’t want nothing to do with the components” as I expected, stating “if it had been 90 days, which 30 of that was for the first exchange, they would of changed the Duramax Diesel free of charge.” In a nut shell Dj the technician.
Worst company to deal with sent us the wrong engine and then they wanted to charge us for restocking fee when its not our faultWhen you order and engine with providing the vin you would think you are dealing with pros but unfortunately not

Buyer beware scam scam scam liar liar liarI purchased a motor from EDDIE it was a 6.6 Duramax diesel brand new $15,500 we gave them the Vin number before we purchased it. Downhill from there when I got to the shop they noticed it was not the right motor I took a video and pictures. The intake and fuel rails regulator everything was different they said to me take your old parts from your old motor and put it on the new motor swap them out I said that’s ridiculous I want the right motor for the truck they said to me 21,000+6000 for the core. I said you can have your motor backThey said no problem 25% restocking fee and I pay for the delivery of the motor back which I checked on the paperwork it did not say that nowhere Eddie said to me it don’t matter we’re going to get your money anyway. after three months battling with my attorney I had to pay $1250 to them and send the motor backwhich I hear they do this a lot. they send the motor out And people won’t realize it that it’s the wrong one they are going to come away with at least 1000 dollars free and clear Just letting you know my experience with Eddie at US engine I hear they do this quite often
Absolutely HORRIBLE company!! Do not buy anything from them. When you order on their website, it is a lie. Shipping takes way longer than stated. Nothing is straight forward. They are refusing to give back the refund for the core, now they want to keep the core that we sent back to them, BUT if we want them to send the core back to us and not get a refund theyll charge us $150 for shipping. Seriously the worst company to work with, do not waste your time or money!!
If I could give negative stars I would, have been waiting for over eight months for a refund that is due us and now they are ignoring emails. Returned the core in good shape, they say it had rust which it did not, ok so whatever, now we cant even get them to refund our money due. WORST COMPANY EVER, DONT ENTER INTO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND MONEY LOST AND GO ELSEWHERE.
They sent an engine with the wrong parts and missing some parts. They authorized my to have the shop fix it the backed out on paying for it. Avoid them at all cost
Bought a motor, 5k miles and one year later a valve seat broke and caused a hole in the piston. They wouldnt warranty the motor
Very poor service. Ordered a reman engine and it was damaged during shipping. Very slow response to emails. Couldnt ever get a straight answer from Eddie. Come to find out they also sent the wrong engine and wouldnt replace it with the correct rotory Cummins engine. Wound up with an engine I couldnt use. Refused to send the correct one. Honestly, They are a bunch of crooks. Trust me....read the reviews online before you buy.
