We purchased a new home and used Split Rail Fence Company to build a fence for our yard that conforms to the HOA requirements. They were fast, friendly, professional, and did an amazing job. They really stand by their work as we ran into an issue with needing to move the fence. They worked with us every step of the way, explained our options, and helped us arrive at the best resolution. Most importantly this company cares about their work and their clients. Throughout the entire process we felt that we were in good hands with them, and we were. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!

I thought these folks did a great job. Our only concern was to make sure our small dogs could not get out of the yard. We have to have a specific fence type and Split Rail did a great job. See pic! There is a square mesh fence over the three rail. Also, the gate is dog proof at the bottom (see pic). A few recommendations. 1) If you have dogs, try to get concrete under the gate. 2) I know people want to maximize their yard and often the fence extends to the front of the house. Instead, have the fence start at the back of the house. This helps limit blind spots where you cannot see your dogs and also pushes the dog back 30-50 more feet from the front sidewalk. Youd be surprised how much this cuts down on barking when someone walks by. Anyway, enjoy!

We had Split Rail Fence build a 6 foot high wood fence in our backyard in 2010. We had them come out more than once to fix loose posts but each time they came they also hit a sprinkler line so we finally quit calling them. 11 years later we finally had to hire a company to come out and fix our fence. We discovered that all of our posts were only 1 foot in the ground when code is 2 feet. The fence was bowing out up to a foot in some places because the shallow posts were in little to no concrete. I tell everyone I know who is thinking to hire a fence company “do not hire Split Rail Fence company”.

Updated below: I can hardly believe this company is still in business. SRF came out to my house on 12/11/2018. The estimator was very friendly, polite and professional. He had an estimate to us that day. It was not the lowest estimate and certainly not the highest. However, as my HOA states I can only have one type of fence, we (my neighbor and I) decided on SRF because they had done a terrific job on a majority of the fence through the rest of the neighborhood. The estimator said we should hear from scheduling before Christmas, and work should start the week after. I contacted both the office line and the estimator every week if not more and left numerous emails which went unanswered. Just as I was beginning to think I had been scammed... I recieved an email from someone higher in the company that work was to begin on the 28th of January. Work did not start until 2/1/2019... Nearly two months since paying the deposit. I can understand a few weather delays... But this was pretty unacceptable.They completed the posts on a Friday and came a few days later to do the wire and rails as I expected. But when they left and called it done I was left with an eyesore and a health hazard. The weld wire was bent and twisted and in many places cut long that extremely sharp ends were fully exposed. Any pet or child could easily cause serious bodily injury. I had two gates installed... Only only opened about 70° before hitting the ground. Flaws abounded. I contacted SRF about the terrible job they had done, and they agreed to come out and take a look with a supervisor. They came out on 2/11, looked at fence for 5 minutes and left. Today, 2/15, they came back, clipped and exposed MORE sharp ends on the fence, reseated one post that was done poorly and re-did the hinges on the gates. Unfortunately for them, they did a pretty bad job at all of this. The gates look worse(but they open at least... I guess?) The wire looks worse and is more dangerous. Much of the wood on the gates is now split (hahaha) from the dozens of nail and bolt holes with the fixes put in place.Absolutely terrible. I cannot recommend this business in the least.5/11/2019: they came back more than a month a month ago and fixed many of the issues. However, as much as I want to improve their rating, I simply cannot. I have now found places where instead of replacing a board that was badly split, it was merely glued to keep it together. I also keep finding jagged and poking wires. Additionally, the Gates now both have issues. One swings completely free of the latch and the other requires significant effort to close.

Absolutely terrible quality and service. They built a cedar fence just few years ago for house I then purchased. I dug around the posts recently after noticing the fence swaying; come to find out they only poured concrete at posts to 12” below grade and had inconsistent concrete tops sloped to the posts. Not at all to industry standards. Their teams are either incompetent or intentional in installing incorrectly. Complete decay/rot of the posts (see imagery) because of them. Split Rail was unprofessional, continually ignored me, and ultimately unhelpful for any support where I tried to compromise. Found this issue on other jobs; they will cut corners and skimp on quality. Beware of Split Rail’s low bid proposals, there is a reason they come in low and you’ll pay more in the long run. In addition, their salesmen will advertise “1 year warranties” but not have official warranty forms with proposals. They seem to source low quality new cedar wood pieces before they have all their natural resistant/decay properties. You’ll still have issues even with staining and protecting as you should. Lot of issues with this Company. Look elsewhere for any fence needs.

On 11/27/17, I spoke with Josh at the Split Rail Fence Company and sent him these photos, explaining that the initial installation of the live stock wire was posing a danger to my dogs. The horizontal top wire was trimmed off, exposing over 30 feet of 195 razor sharp prongs.When my 1-year-old Great Pyrenees jumps up on the fence to see who’s coming up the driveway, he puts his paws on these metal prongs for a better view. His paw has been caught on the top of the fence numerous times. Fortunately, over the last 6 weeks, he has learned to not put his paws there and is now longer drawing blood.I have called this company weekly since my initial call on 11/27/17 to get someone to repair this gross negligence of a fence install. I did not receive ONE call back until today.Josh did not apologize when he left a message stating, ‘this job was filed in another file and we thought the job was done.’ With over 7 documented calls by the receptionist, Sam, this was unlikely untrue. Additionally, Sam was equally flummoxed as to why no one had returned my calls in the last 6 weeks.I still do not have an appointment scheduled to get my fence fixed.This was not my first barrage of calls to the Split Rail Fence Company.When the holes were being dug out to install the vertical split rails, the main gas line to my house was busted. I was without heat and could not use my gas range for a week while I was waiting to get the gas line fixed. I paid $400.00 out of pocket since the Split Rail Fence Company declined to pay for the damage they caused.As I sat on hold over the course of the last 6 weeks, I heard the recorded loop over and over: ‘service is a fact, not a promise, dedicated to your satisfaction’ and my favorite, ‘we go out of our way to serve you.’I understand that I am not a big-ticket customer; I do not have a 1000-acre ranch and only paid $4600.00 for my fence but I do not expect this utter lack of customer service and inability to correct a dangerous situation as soon as it gets reported.

Great service and quality product: After a glitch with the vinlyl fencing we had originally ordered, Split Rail helped us to find a product that was even better. I didnt care for this company at all. They have a $1500 minimum and they wont even common price you in less you have a permit. I live in an area where theres no homeowner association and I can do what I want between the property line between my & my house! Sorry split rail I will not be using you!! I will be doing my business with a better company! A company that has much better customer service because yours stinks!!

A 2-day job...as we were told by SRF...has now passed 3 days. The crew didnt arrive the 1st day even close to the stated time frame.Day One demolition...no posts set.Day Two arrived late...again. Further prep...Posts finally set. Well finish 1st thing tomorrow. Day Three (of a 2-day job)...Workmen didnt show up 1st thing...They didnt show up AT ALL.Multiple phone calls to the company go to voice mail or get passed around. Youll get a call back...Nope! NO CALL BACK.Surely youll want to find a different company to handle your fencing needs. MAYBE if youre a commercial account, you get the guaranteed satisfaction this company claims to offer.

Under the direction of my salesman Javier Zamora, Slit Rail went above and beyond to take care of my special installation needs. My project required custom fabricated gates, they operate flawlessly. I would use them again.

Our HOA hired Split Rail to replace the community-owned fence line in our development. This fence runs along the whole side of our home. We were notified on June 1st that work was to start on our fence on June 14th and we needed to move our landscaping away from the fence line. We did and eagerly awaited the work to start. And waited. And waited. Finally work was started on our line a full two months after we were told it would start. Our landscaping has looked pathetic this whole time due to having to pull it away from the fence. And on top of that the Split Rail team has been using gallons and gallons of water from our outside faucet without a single attempt to ask us if that was even okay. This project was slated for a few weeks to a month from start to completion and this team’s absurdly short work days and lack of urgency has dragged things on far longer than is reasonable. We definitely won’t be hiring them ourselves for any work we need done on our private fence lines.

This company should go out of business and hopefully they do for the sake of everyone else. Their fence Installed on 9 foot 6x6 posts fell apart after 3 years. Minimal concrete, cutting corners, and the rudest service you can possibly hope for. I paid thousands of dollars. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Materials I paid for were not provided at pick up and no one has returned my calls or answered any calls or emails. As a business owner this impedes business incredibly. I will not be doing business with split rail ever again.

I built my own fence and used the retail arm of Split Rail. I wanted to use 1 x 6 x 5 dog ear pickets and had the hardest time finding a supplier. Thankfully Split Rail had the pickets in stock and was super helpful with getting me everything I needed. I will definitely go back for fence material from Split Rail.

Split rail had to reschedule with me for our consultation. They mentioned they were double booked and this I could understand. While waiting for them to arrive for our new appointment they didn’t arrive or call. I called to see where they were and unfortunately the employee quit. What I’m disappointed in is the communication. I should have received a call letting me know we had to reschedule. We wont be using split rail for this project.

Split Rail installed fences for 2 properties I manage in Castle Rock and were fantastic. Especially Jamie...she was very responsive and helped us figure everything out with neighbors too (shared fence). She was patient while we figured things out and excellent to work with!! All parts of the project were handled very professionally from estimate to scheduling to construction.I was especially impressed with Charles and his crew when it came to the layout and installation of the fence posts.He took great care in aligning all the posts to create a very straight and even look to the entire project.I believe this was the most critical phase as everything else attaches to the posts.The wire mesh and rails went very well too although I was not there much that day.We had to leave a section out for landscapers, but it was completed quickly and completely as soon as it became ready.All in all, you guys really delivered and we are very satisfied.We are very, very pleased with the quality and final product of our fence.Thank you for being great at what you do.

Horrible service. I have now had 2 different people out to give me quotes. The first came out, sent me an email and then never responded to any of my followup emails. I called the company several times and rather than try to help me they would forward my inquiry on to the sales person who I still never heard back from. The second time around I just asked if I could work with a new sales rep, the guy came out, was very nice, emailed me a quote and then again will not respond to any of my emails or phone calls.

So far excellent. Weve only done the appointment and are waiting for the estimate. The estimator Melissa was on time, professional and excellent to work with.

We have now used Split Rail Fence & Supply twice. Each time has been great! They have always been very courteous and professional. This time it was on our new home that had a fence installed 15 years ago that needed some new gates and some new fencing. Once they finished the work we requested, we felt there was an issue with how a portion of the fence was installed. We called the superintendent directly to discuss our issues. They were very polite and said they would be out the next day. The superintendent came out and confirmed the issue. He fixed it all himself that day. We could not be more pleased and will continue to use them for all of our fencing needs in this house and wherever we move to on the front range. Could not recommend highly enough.

Called asked if they had a particular product in stock. Girl answers the phone and says yes they have the materials. Drive an hour to pickup the products they tell me they dont have it in. Losing time and money paying hours to employees with no materials to use. All I get is a unsincere apology from the manager. No discount/ gift card or anything for my time, and hours loss that I have to payout. Definitely will not return to this place.

Apparently the new management hasnt done anything to merit better reviews. I emailed them and called and left a message eight days ago and still havent heard back. Luckily I have a good friend who took some time to help me repair my fence. Now I have another skill and wont ever need to call upon split rail.

Wood was great, took an hr to pick up my order even though I ordered 4 hrs before and it was 3 posts. it was during pandemic so maybe, hopefully that was the reason

This is literally the slowest company ever! If you you want to have your fence installed in a couple days dont have them do it. It will take them several weeks! They have been doing the fence along our road now and taking their sweet time. We have been without any fence for two whole weeks now which is a huge inconvenience! Do not to business with them.

Great folks at the Co.Springs location! From the initial consultation to the completion of work, everyone was kind and professional. I had some pretty significant wear and tear, plus weather damage to my fencing and now it looks amazing again! I recommend this company hands-down!

This is the worst company Ii have EVER dealt with!!! When they were installing the fence, I saw a potential problem and spoke to the supervisor regarding it. I was assured that it would be taken care of but I should wait until it is complete. This turned out to be a way to just placate me since the issue was still there after they finished. I tried over the course of 6 months calling, leaving messages, asking to speak to the supervisor, the owner, anyone in charge. My calls were always taken and each time I was assured of a prompt call back. I NEVER got a phone call returned!! I did get through to one of the owners one time and was told there was nothing she could do. It could have been easily resolved if they would have acted when I first pointed it out, but the supervisor decided it would be easier to put me off. I finally at my own expense had to fix the fence myself to get it done right..something they could have easily done if they had integrity and pride in their work. This is just the main thing, during the work, we constantly had to pick up trash from their workers and after just a couple of years, the fence is splitting at the seams and and buckling from the sun. I wont even bother trying to get them to take care of these issues, it is too frustrating. There are many other choices out there, save yourself a huge headache and avoid this dysfunctional company.

He was able to give me an estimate during his visit and we were able to discuss several options that he was able to price out real time. This was a very good process that is being used for the estiamte.

I would like to take the time to thank the Split Rail Fence Company. I am an Instructor at a Denver area high school and I reached out to local building supply companies for material donations. Out of the twelve different companies I reached out to, only two responded. Split Rail was very eager to provide our students with the material to work on a project with one of our nonprofit community partners. I called Split Rail today despite the poor reviews to buy fencing materials for my house. They helped me figure out what I needed and how I could save money on materials by building the fence in a specific way. Their prices were very reasonable and I decided to go with them after quite a lot of shopping around. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely use this company in the future.

It must be nice to be so busy that you cannot get back to potential clients. I have been trying to get someone to call me back for over two weeks now just to have someone come and give me an estimate for a fence. When I called to complain about not getting a response from Leo after leaving messages the receptionist was very rude and didnt care. All she could say was it takes about two days but it had been longer than that. She gave me his cell number but when you call it says the mailbox is full. Looks like another company will get my business now.

I had an estimate scheduled for 9-10 a.m. this morning and no one has showed up. I emailed the person who scheduled the estimate and got an email back that she is no longer with the company. I texted the number that I had received confirmation from--no response. I called the main phone line and get a message saying that your company is open from M-F, but you must be busy and to leave a message. Then, the phone number hangs up on me. I took the morning off work to be here for this estimate and now what?

Dont bother buying fencing here if youre looking for materials for a DIY project; they dont allow you to actually see the materials before buying. They really do live up to their lousy reputation. EDIT; At no time was there an offer made to show me the fencing materials or allow me to go into the yard with PPE on like the response below states. I was simply told that the public cannot go into the yard to see materials before purchasing. Period. I love how theyve now making stuff up. Steer clear!

My neighbor just put a nice vinyl fence around his whole property. I wanted to match the other side and back of my yard so I called them over 2 weeks ago to get a quote and left a voicemail. After reading all of the reviews I see that I am not the only one. I will just contact a different company. I dont get how they stay in business with not calling clients back.

I have a split rail fence that is damaged. Last time I called this company, they showed up, pretended to take notes and I never heard from them again. I can’t call them for this repair because they are so difficult to coax into doing the job. It is very hard to find a contractor to work with this company because they’re so unreliable.

Terrible service

I own a townhouse in Cherry Creek, one of 7 units and we hire Spilt Rail Fence Co. to replace/rebuild the cedar fences between the units and some exterior gates. They did a great job, except 2 problems on my fence. Javier came out and met with my contractor and me, took pictures of the problems and Split Rail replaces/rebuilt the items which were not up to par. No arguments, no problems, only good service and very helpful friendly service. I recomend them.

We hired Split Rail Fence to install metal ornamental fencing in the front of the house and a wood/wire section of fence along the back. We couldnt be happier about the result. SRF was professional, on time, good price and they were quite helpful in where to put the fence and the materials to be used. I would recommend SRF to anyone needing a fence installed in the Boulder area.

I called this place for an estimate and each time they transferred me to a guy named Chriss voicemail whom I think may be on vacation?? I told the person answering the phone that I hadnt received a call back from him and he offered the guys cell phone. So ummm am I suppose to stalker call someone to give me a quote? No thanks! My wife and I were planning to install a split rail fence which we have now completed. The owner Cindy Warner was very helpful. We wanted locust posts and just do this once. I checked with other suppliers. They are competitively priced. I chose them because they answered my questions, returned all my calls, consolidated my delivery which saved us money. My wife and I are long time small business owners. They are too and really give great customer service. Cindys husband Pete made the delivery. With helpful suggestions on depth and diameter of the post holes we were able to professionally install 250 feet we ordered in 10 hours. We had a great sleep after. Thanks Cindy and Pete! I am so thankful I chose split rail! They did an amazing job in stalling my fence. From my experience, not only do they have great products to choose from, but they also have a passionate and friendly staff. Not only am I happy but so are my neighbors and my dogs :)

Split rail came out to finished my fence today!! They did a Great job and the contractors were Awesome! My puppies are so happy to be free range again!!

Split Rail performed the fence install for our HOA. The fence itself is fine. Their promised temporary fence for dog owners was a complete joke. Had we trusted them and actually allowed our dogs out into our yard, they would have been hit by cars within seconds. Their temporary fence had a gap of nearly a foot. Why bother? Also, they left the temporary fence up for weeks - running through our entire yard - and only came to remove it after we called to ask about it. Additionally, although we marked our sprinkler lines/heads with flags, as advised, Split Rail still cemented a fence post right through our system and wont return calls requesting repair. Needless to say, we wont consider them for the replacement of our interior fence this year, nor for any future needs.

My first experience with this company did not go well. After a small purchase ($250) I was told my order would be ready in a couple of days and to expect a call by Friday. On my way to Denver I called and was told it wasnt ready but theys get it ready and call me when it was. I got the call informing me it was pulled and ready for me to pick up. An hour and a half later I stopped by and it wasnt ready. I had to go out on the yard and pull it myself. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I told the guy at the front Id give him a chance to make it up when I needed some of my rails shortened at a later date.My second visit resulted in the very same poor service. I brought three of my rails back with a distance between my two posts just as instructed. I was told the tool to do this job was out on a truck but theyd get it in the morning and I could pick up my rails mid morning. When I got there at 2:30 they werent ready. They forgot to get the tool off the truck before it went out.Poor excuse for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN!Seems to be a pattern.Dont bother responding to this review. I was selling my home and a large part of why I was selling my home was a damaged fence I could not find someone to repair and could not afford one of the larger companies to fix. While the house was on the market, I contracted with Split Rail to make the repairs (a $5000 + job) and paid a 50% deposit. The other 50% was held in escrow for the new homeowner to pay upon completion. IT TOOK THEM 5 MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE WORK. AND THEY HAD THE GUTS TO CHARGE MORE THAN WHAT WAS IN ESCROW. AND INSTEAD OF CONTACTING ME (THE PERSON WHO SIGNED THEIR CONTRACT) TO COLLECT THE DIFFERENCE, THEY WENT AFTER THE NEW HOMEOWNER WHO AT THAT POINT WAS DESPERATE TO HAVE HER FENCE FIXED.

I saw you guys on the news and it’s amazing what you are doing for that family. It’s about time big companies step up!

I called Split Rail about setting up an appt. to get an estimate. They had me describe what I needed so they could then decide if it was worth it to them to come out and give a FREE estimate.

I set up my first appointment for an estimate, I got a call 20 minutes before he was supposed show up, I was told he had a family emergency and we rescheduled. Again, 15 minutes before he was supposed to show up, I got a call from the same guy. He told me he couldn’t come because he had something with his kid. He said he told his office not to schedule him, but they did. Not sure what that was about, because he was the one who made the appointment with me. I told him never mind I’ll go elsewhere.

In and out quick with what I needed! Have a couple cribbing horses who managed to chew through some large sections of fencing. Talk to these guys, and they had the sections of fencing that I needed. I was in and out with what I needed in less than 10 minutes.

I just bought a new house and needed to add some fencing to the back yard for my dog. When they measured the yard, they hoped they could install in about 3 week, much earlier than other companies I had bid it.When it was getting close to the three weeks, they called and said they were having a hard time locating enough material to do my job, as it was a big yard. They sent out the Forman and a supervisior to look the yard over. They found some material but still 2-3 weeks. Naturally I was disappointed but they said if they had a cancellation, they would give it to me. I thought, yea right. THE VERY NEXT DAY, they said they were on their way out. They did a fantastic job. Very Happy.

After posting my 2 star Initial Review below, someone at Split Rail took notice. They checked their inventory and found that they do carry the proper length fence slats that cover the bottom fence rails after all. They are going to credit the $75 delivery fee and I can pick up the fence slats in the morning.Initial Review - Buyer beware. I wanted to match a small, 20 privacy fence to our perimeter HOA fence. That meant TREX Seclusions in Woodland Brown. Split Rail is the ONLY Denver area retailer for this product. I got a quote from them, shared it with my neighbor, then picked up the product. At the moment of install, I realized that there werent any 8 pickets to cover the bottom rails. It turns out that theyre a special order item. I need 4 of them and its costing $127 ($12 each + $75 special order fee) with approximately a 2 week wait. Lastly, Im stuck with the 4 extra 6 pickets they sold me 2 weeks ago thanks to their 10 day return policy.

Company is very professional. Got the job done clean and in a timely manner. Very happy with their work.

Im done too. Called and emailed, one person called back and said they would call back the next day with some additional details. One week later, still waiting for the call back, left another message nothing. Funny if they dont want my business at least leave a good impression and call back and leave a message stating they cant take on more clients. Other companies called me back at least with that message. Just common sense customer service. If they cant even make a phone call can they actually build a good fence???

The technician who came out to give me a quote refused to wear a mask. When I told her I wasnt comfortable having her in my yard without a mask, she said I could just use another fence company then. Which I will.

Tried these guys a few years ago with no luck. Just gave them another chance and they did a great job for a great price.

The workmanship was great. My only complaint was the delay in getting the job done. I addressed this with management, and they were responsive.

The absolute worst experience we have had with a service company. Zero communication. Installed the wrong color of fence and refused to do anything about it. Charged our credit card without any signed authorization. The list goes on and on. We do not write reviews often but this was the worst company we have encountered.

I called them to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I was scheduled for today Monday March 26th at 8am. I made arrangements at work to go in late and for nothing No One showed up and when I called them the lady who answers said she doesnt even show me in her schedule and that her guy Bill would be in my area at 2 this afternoon. When I scheduled appt. they told me hed be in my area only AM thats why I had to make the appointment early morning to begin with. Receptionist didnt even offer an apology didnt even attempt to. Im glad this happened before even hiring them this shows me what type of company they are. I hope people read others reviews Im glad I read them!! Not using them at all!!

HORRIBLE customer service. A crew came 5/1/18 to place posts for our new fence and did not return for the rest of the week. My husband left multiple messages and emails with the company. Someone finally contacted him Thursday and he was promised the fence would be completed by Friday 5/4/18. By 3pm on that Friday no one had showed up to our house. My husband called the company multiple times before getting a hold of anyone. He was then told the crew was on their way to our house right now to finish the fence. We are now going on one week, fence is not completed and our garage which we lock nightly and is usually not accessible from the alley when there is a fence, has been broken into. Ive left multiple messages with the company today with no response. I will never use this company again and Ill make sure anyone and everyone I know needing a new fence avoids them as well.

Trucks from this company and Pioneer Sand are the worst offenders for cracked windshields. Their uneducated drivers sit in the left lane, speed over bumps, and splatter rocks from their unwashed trucks all over the highway. Dont drive close to these a-holes, and complain to the BBB and authorities every chance you get. No need to call them as their phone operators are more ignorant than their drivers. I would never do business with this scum.

We were told several times they would send us our estimate. They never sent the estimate. Never called. Never emailed. We never heard from them other than when I called or emailed myself.

They installed the fence in the wrong location, but one I can live with. They installed a gate that does not match the style of the fence and not as requested. Vertical gate with a horizontal fence looks ridiculous. They just put the cheapest gate in knowing we would catch it on the bid, even through we specified it should match our neighbors exactly. I feel they were trying to dupe me. Have now tried to upcharge us to get the correct gate. I would NOT use them again. I was NOT impressed with their customer service or attention to detail. The corner of the fence does not line up with the neighbors and if we had a small dog this would be an issue. Overall a lousy job & lousy service. I recommend using a company that takes pride in their work. We specifically worked with Chris Haines and would not recommend doing with him in the future.

Split Rail Fence is very expensive and not worth the price. They made our fence incorrectly - we asked for a horizontal fence with 1/2 inch spacing in between boards and they did not space the boards. They were willing to fix the fence so we were pleased that they corrected their mistake. However, at the front of the house (curb appeal!) they managed to mess up the alignment of the boards so it looks very unprofessional (2 sections are an inch higher than the others so the horizontal spacing is messed up). I would not recommend Split Rail.

Unbelievably bad experience. They showed up without any notice whatsoever weeks after initial call, installed half the fence then didn’t show up again for a week. Left the old fence sitting in the yard until i had to call and ask them to come finish the job. Finally they came and picked up the old fence pieces and completed the other half, but then left trash everywhere, broke landscaping pieces all over the property and just left the broken pieces sitting about. Now the foudation of the yard is slipping out under the fence. Just absolutely terrible service in every single way.

I am repeating customer with Split Rail Fence. I had them install a Trex Fence in the front of the house with a ornamental iorn running all the way to side walk. I have been happy with it until i called them today for a installation of new fence in the back of the house and my gate repair (as I am unable to close it). I spoke with the manager Sam to find her rude and dismissive. She kept stating that we have a minimum of $500.00 charge and $200.00 dispatch fee. However, she is willing to send an estimator free of charge for the new installation. I let her know that I was not happy and she hanged up!

Split Rail Fence has terrible customer service. They do not respond to numerous emails or phone calls. The product is okay. They never did confirm when they would show up to do the work and left a section without the wire. I subsequently had a difficult time getting them to come back out and finish the job. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Fence deteriorated and fell over at 2 years old. It was improperly installed. Employees have no integrity and nor does the owner.

If you want to talk with a voice-mail over and over again then I would recommend contacting this company. Otherwise if you want talk with a human and get a quote I would contact a different company

Not at all happy......crew hours late to begin install then took a one hour lunch break which meant they didn’t start until 3 PM on a Friday. Then they damaged my irrigation system in several spots. They cemented one broken pipe so that water shot straight up along a post and then poured concrete on top of another pipe breaking it. Calls to the company resulted in being ignored for a week. Stay far, far away from Split Rail and beware that Home Depot uses them too for fencing. You’re better off with the kid down the block building your fence.
