LOVE going here with friends and family!Modified this review bc hrs are 1-7 PM. They changed their hours from 9-5 PM which made it hard to go there, so glad they modified their hours again. Hours shift sometimes so keep an eye on it, but they have the best hot chocolate/frozen hot chocolate in the world.
Absolutely wonderful chocolate! We also got to go on a tour directed by Dr. Silvana Martini. She was excellent at handling our large family reunion group, and interacting with everyone from the little kids to the older chocolate fans. Highly recommend!
We went for a tour, and now I cant stay away! The tour was fun, interactive, and informative and the chocolate was incredible. Its like I had never tasted real chocolate before I had a piece of Aggie Chocolate. They definitely are staying right on point with the legacy of quality created by the Aggie Creamery.
Very friendly kind warm atmosphere. 100 percent would recommend this lovely place. The food science that you can view happening is awesome looking and its just a great place for chocolate and good times.
The service was a bit slow. However, they had good food and nice service.
We were given a tour by Aby and later by Matisse and they are both exceptional at their job. They explained everything so well and made my wife and I want to keep coming back. It also helps that the chocolate is so delicious!
I love the way the friendly staff is ready to make recommendations and answer questions about the chocolate. You can also watch through the factory windows as chocolate is being processed. The dark chocolate is delicious, but I love that theyve also added a milk chocolate bar as well.
Quaint little place with delicious treats. Not overly expensive. We tried the Nanaimo bar. It was out of this world!
The frozen hot chocolate was delicious! And the chocolate bar samples were divine. Definitely a must stop for any chocolate lover (especially any dark chocolate lover). The factory was clean and very organized. The employees are also willing to tell you a lot of info on the chocolate types and process.
I was excited to stop by after being told the chocolate is amazing. When I got there, they had one chocolate bar on display for over $7. I bought it and asked why there stocks were so low. The response was they were preparing for an event. perhaps timing could give you a better experience, but it seems planning for people to pop in and have a bite is not a priority.
Sure, youre heard of Aggie Creamery, but have you heard of Aggie Chocolate Factory?! Me neither, that is, until about a month ago, though I have seen their Thistle & Rose chocolate bars at local businesses, never knowing they were crafted by a team of Utah State students. So cool! The factory is located in a courtyard shared with the Bulls Head Grill, and surrounded by student housing. I think there was a gallery, too? With no signage along the street, I was puzzled where the store might be, but just park and head to the open area with seating and such (and take note, as there are some great spots to stay and enjoy your treat!). Inside, the space is shared with Utah Artisan Mercantile, a cute café and shop selling local goods, though this further compounds the confusion! The bitty chocolate shop is housed just behind their glass walled viewing area. Two helpful students cheerfully greeted me. The factory crafts 2 dark and 1 milk chocolate bar (Belize and Ecuador origins), the varieties also available in molded cacoa beans wrapped in colorful foil. This same chocolate is utilized for the sweets they offer: DARK (the only acceptable option) chocolate dipped cinnamon bears, dipped pretzels, and nonpareils. In the baked goods weve got chocolate chip cookies, shortbread, brownies, macarons, Nanaimo bars, mousse, cheesecake, and occasional specials (on this occasion, an éclair). A few drinks are offered: sipping chocolate, frozen hot chocolate, coffee and tea. Lastly, there are nuts, a cacoa seasoning rub, cacao beans and nibs, Butchers Bunches jam, and merch like tees and mugs. Day old treats are discounted by 50%!My order was predestined as both frozen hot chocolate and Nanaimo bars are favorites and must order items. I could have selected much more, as near all goodies are just a few dollars, but I had already treated myself quite a bit that day, so showed some (now regrettable) restraint. The frozen hot chocolate is available plain, flavored with raspberry, or salted caramel. I opted to leave it pure, and as I was waiting for it to be made, I looked over the case and lamented the fact that I had not selected a pack of nibby shortbread cookies. Lo and behold, when the drink was served, they had stuck a cookie right into the whipped cream gracing the top. What luck! What presentation! And that frozen hot chocolate! The excellent chocolate with which it was made, bloomed full of rich and fruity notes, making me all the more grateful not to have polluted it with additional flavors. The ice is slushy and so fine, the whipped cream not-too-sweet, and basically, it is what I have always wished a Frappuccino would be. The Nanaimo bar was crowned with a thick slick of their brilliant chocolate, then thick custard filling, finished with a rugged, chocolate coconut cookie-like crust. This is such a special treat that I rarely find in Utah. Make sure to try one out if given the chance. They offer rotating daily specials, usually 20% off a particular item. The day I visited, I had also stopped by any Logan area purveyors of chocolate and sugary treats I could find, and this sweet, teeny little shop beat them all! Your purchase supports students, and it made me want to go back to school so I could learn all about how to craft such delicious bars myself! Check em out!
Nice little chocolate factory and amazing frozen hot chocolate. But I have to update my review because it very sad that they dont take cash only cards. I dont get it.
I first discovered this place while on a date. We shared a frozen hot cocoa and had such a wonderful time learning all about the chocolate process. It has the perfect atmosphere for a cozy date night!
Many chocolate options from which to choose! My favorite? The two different variety chocolate bars, from different regions of the globe, you would swear there are more flavours added, but no-pure chocolate confection!
The best hot chocolate ever
If you want to truthfully say you love chocolate, go to the Aggie Chocolate Factory. There you will experience “true” chocolate. Take the red pill...
It was so interesting! Being a dark chocolate lover, I was in heaven! I loved seeing the process, and seeing all about where the cocoa came from!
This is destined to be the local hot spot for a mormon night cap. Exceptionally high quality chocolate available in a variety of consumption modalities. Hot chocolate, chocolate chips, and FREE samples. If you are a local, welcome to life elevated. If you are a transplant (like me) this is a welcome gift to culture and sophistication with a country hometown flare.
This is a fabulous stop for anyone in the area. It is run by the Food science department. They do research on chocolate, cool as that is though... its the items that make that will have you going back. I was visiting the area and found out about them and had to try some of the goodies. They make the best macarons hands down. The chocolate ganache filling was scrumptious. I liked them so much I could only bring myself to share half of one with my mom later that day. My second favourite item was the chocolate eclairs. They have a chocolate cream pastry filling and chocolate ganache on top... again so delicious...just makes me salivate thinking about them. If you like dark chocolate...you need to do yourself a favour and try this place out. I dont know about milk chocolate because I love dark. But support this place, its too good to pass up.Oh and I found out they will also ship items too!!! The next thing for the to sale is chocolate drinking mix.
Fun place to enjoy good chocolate. Friendly staff. Fun to watch the chocolate get made!
Delicious chocolate but way pricey.
The Nanaimo bar has a strange taste. The center filling is more like a sugar icing than custard.
Friendly service. Samples. Great high quality chocolate!
This place is great. Talking with the staff is a blast, they know what theyre doing.
This place is so much fun! There is a Chocolate Café that sells tasty chocolate bars, brownies, cake, cookies, eclaires, and rich, creamy, yummy chocolate drinks. The frozen hot chocolate is delicious! You can see the chocolate factory through glass walls, a place reminiscent of Willy Wonka! There is also an educational component where you can learn about all things chocolate and even take a course in chocolatiering!
Amazing chocolate! Its a little expensive, but when you take into account the quality its completely worth it.
