I came here because they had the best pricing in the LA metro area for a 152. Super conveniently located right against the base of 26R. Sam was extremely helpful and Jeff gave me a good scope of the area. Planes can be accessed any time, day or night, once you get your badge. Huge plus for me since I love flying at night.I have been blown away by how helpful Sam has been time and again whenever the slightest issue arises. Whether its as simple as a fuel measuring stick accidentally dropped in the tank or as complex as a transponder failure that resulted in an overnight stay in Bakersfield, Sam is always just a phone call away and helps make things right. Ive rented from half a dozen FBOs in the past and Aces High is hands down the best one Ive done business with.

One of the best places to get your ppl. Great instructors, nice planes, clean and incredibly friendly. Not to mention location. With planes parked right off taxiway and just a short jaunt to 26R how do you even argue that? No long waits to get on to the runway eating up your time. Sam, Moe, Z, and Lis are a class act!

I chose Aces High Aviation for my hour building and I spent two wonderful months flying with them.The staff is highly qualified. Instructors are very competent and professional, they always gave me advices for my safety and suggested the best places to fly. The manager, Sam, is very kind and helpful. He always gave me all the support and information I needed. This is essential for a foreign pilot like me who fly in a different country with different regulations, environments etc. Also sometimes when he was free, he took me around to show me the coolest places in the area. I had fun and felt at home during my long stay in LB.Aircraft are well maintained and clean. Prices are very affordable compared to the average in the area. Note that there are NO monthly dues or other hidden costs!The flight school is open 24/7. You can access the facilities and ramp with a security badge and fly at any time, day or night. Also you can schedule the aircraft online, check availability and manage reservations at any time from your phone, tablet etcI’m very satisfied with the experience at this flight school and I’ll definitely be back to fly and meet again these wonderful people. Overwhelmingly positive experience for the most part. Everyone Ive met is helpful and friendly, and are overall great instructors. Ive had a few scheduling mishaps but other than that, not a bad thing to say to be honest.

I had a brilliant time at Aces High over the summer doing my hourbuilding. Sam was a top guy and proved to be very helpful and accommodating during my stay: he even went out of his own way and took me and my friend out to some places during free time to help us make the most of our stay.The aircraft were clean, modern and well maintained and all of the staff at Aces High were very friendly. As for the location - California was the perfect place to pick for my hour building - I was there from mid July until mid August and there was barely a cloud in the sky. Long Beach airport was a great airport to fly from with a mix of commercial and general aviation traffic.Thanks Sam and the team for a great time!

Choose this school! When I was first researching flight schools to go to, I searched all around Long Beach airport and was eventually referred to Ace’s High by a friend. It was the best choice I made for my flight training. The planes are meticulously maintained and their aircraft inventory is growing with some pretty awesome additions. The flight school is family owned and they make you feel like part of that family. Their prices are some of the best at Long Beach. They are very flexible and work around your schedule, whether that be weekends or evenings. They have top notch instructors, Aaron and Z (Zubair). I have also had the pleasure of flying with one of the owner’s, Paul, a few times as well. Big thanks to Aaron for teaching me what I needed know to get a great score on my knowledge test and for the training in the air, and to Z for motivating me and polishing me up for my private pilot Checkride, which I passed on the first try thanks to him. Sam, one of the owners, was always there to help me day or night. They always provided me with the necessary resources to get my license. If it weren’t for the amazing group of people working at Ace’s High, I would not have my license now. Thanks again for all that you do.

Im an A380 captain who regularly flies in to LA and when Im there I always try and do some flying at Aces High. Paul and the team have set up a great operation, the training is very good and they have an excellent range of aircraft to hire. Paul is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly which combined with the Socal weather and the reasonable prices make for a great flying experience. If youre lucky enough to live in LA or are visiting then I really recommended Aces High.

Ive been flying here the last couple of years and I have to say they have a great operation and you wont find a better place to learn to fly. With the move to their new facility they have huge potential to grow and a vast fleet of airplanes to get a huge chunk of your pilot training done. You wont find another flight school as transparent as aces when it comes to their prices and fleet maintenance. but the biggest draw is everyone is there for the same reason, to learn and gain experience in this industry.

Aces High Aviation has really helped me with my ambition to be a pilot! The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable of their craft, their planes are expertly maintained, and even their other students who Ive had the opportunity to meet are fantastic! This is a great place to be for anyone whos ambition is the skys limit.

The plane was well maintained, all systems and equipment was functional. CFI Cris is super nice and gave us a good check ride and trip over to Catalina island. He is knowledgeable and competent dealing with radio workload and SoCal procedures.
