Lots of affordable comics and graphic novels of all genres; got this small stack (two comics and two graphic novels) for less than $30.

Owner, well at least I’m guessing he was the owner was questioning where we were from for simply not having a mask, didn’t need the extra commentary, the store is okay if your into modern comics otherwise avoid it if your looking for silver age and before that, wouldn’t really recommend it unless your trying to be criticized.

Havent been here since they were in a different location (Still Long Beach, but closer to Lakewood as I recall). Its a small shop, but they sure pack a punch! They had so much to offer, I didnt know where to start ! Also, the staff were super friendly. They would chat with customers as if they were good friends. They really make you feel at ease.

AWESOME comic shop in Long Beach. Went in for the first time not knowing much about comics and now Im there weekly. The staff is super helpful if you got questions. The deals are great and if you sign up for their membership/subscription program, the prices are even better.

I had my doubts about coming to this place after reading all the bad reviews and I dont see it. The bad reviews were time stamped from 6 months to a year ago. From my recent experience, I think the staff from last year no longer works here. I just went in for free comic book day (very busy too) and the staff was nothing but welcoming and very eager to help anyone who needed their assistance. There was a gentleman there, who I believe was the owner, on the floor answering questions and showing customers where to find what they were looking for in the store. I will definitely be returning to Pulp Fiction Comic Book store.To all the people who like to hand out 1 stars and bad reviews is completely **** up. You are messing with someones lively hood and how they make a living and providing for others. Thats not right at all. Say what you like or dont like about a place. 1 star because you went in once and had a bad experience? Really? You have no idea whats going on with the business or the people that run it. Any competent business owner wants to see happy and returning cutomers. If you have a problem with any staff member, first you talk to the owner or manager and express how you feel and how you were treated before giving anything less than 3 stars. After that, if you return and nothing has changed, you gave the business a solid chance and giving anything less than 3 stars is understandable.The waiter didnt fill my glass with water when it was empty. 1 star reviews are unacceptable.

The location has a large selection of titles and genres as well as constantly updating with the latest titles. However, this store constantly attempts to up sell titles, when the price is clearly labeled on the comic itself. The store also sells comic book covers which is honestly a first time I’ve seen a store do that. Every other comic store I’ve been to actually sells the comic with the covers included with the pricing. Lastly the people working in the front often don’t know anything they are selling when asked about upcoming titles or recommendations.

My favorite comic book place its where I started my hobby and who ever is inside of the shop is super nice. Also there is a good collection of books and recently some manga. Great place to go to

I went here for the first time when batman fortnite zeropoint issue 1 came out they put my name down for the 2nd one then i was worried that i wouldnt get the next 4 but i called and they had put my name down for all six even though i was supposed to us a website to get my name down they saved me alot of trouble the 20% off is nice to best comic store ive ever gone to

I drive all the way from Tustin for this place. Their Trade Paperback post is second to none. They moved, though i like their former place way better, its still good. Knowledgeable staff, if a bit on the quiet side, and crazy discounts on new trades as well. I wish their trade appraiser was there more often but other than that, whats not to love?

Love this place. Started going here because of their full participation of Free Comic Book Day (Summer this year). They have a great selection and the large number of them were discounted during this summer. Must visit comic shop.

My favorite local shop. Love the layout of the new space, as well. You won’t find better prices on Trades and the team at PF are always eager to pitch new series and help you find something new and fun. Seriously, this place is just right!Ryan, Annie and Mike are the friendly folks in charge. The discounts are plentiful. And the last Saturday of each month has a gangbusters sidewalk sale that tends to be packed with comic fans. 😉👊🏼

They have a lot of choices but there priced kinda high but they had what we were looking for so we payed the price

Best comic shop in Long Beach! This place has an awesome selection and good prices to boot. Plus they sell all the lightly used copies from their Netflix-like rental program at amazing discounts. The staff is always friendly and they participate in Free Comic Book Day each May.

Been coming here for years to buy graphic novels and tpb. They always have a good selection of big names and a lot of the niche stuff. The last time I was there I got some great advice when looking for a Christmas gift for my niece.

Phew! It tough because a person can come to a place for years until you notice the bizarre atmosphere in which you apparently ignored for far too long. I will come out and say that, yes this place is absolutely amazing for deals, but altogether must be dismissed for lack of wherewithal in the employees, and perhaps the owner at that.The owner avoids you like the plague if you try to make complaints about the treatment of guests or yourself for that matter. The employees act entitled and it is beyond reason that people like this are still in business? I leave you, dear money spender to decide for yourself, take care!

I have to drive eighteen miles to get here but its worth it. I stopped buying singles a while ago and they give a great discount on Most if not all volumes. Comics are well separated by publisher and makes it easy to find what you want. Most important of all the staff are pretty cool and knowledgeable!

Great store to browse around, have everything you could need, from new age and old, only downfall is the staff, the guy with the ever changing hair color, just seems like he has never heard of the word happiness, and the Burnette girl thinks she is very entitled. There is one or two more employees and they are very down to earth, maybe rainbow head and smug girl can learn a lesson or two;).. but other than the horrible staff, minus 2, comics are cheap and discounted, so what else could you ask for!!!!

Love getting my comics there. Generous discounts on TPBs for days.Just closed on Tuesdays. And whenever I think about going, it always happens to be Tuesday. In my America, there will be no more Tuesdays.Would recommend.

My Favorite LB Comic Shop. Great source for comics and graphic novels, special editions and books about comics. Owner is friendly, talkative and knowledgeable about inventory and comic market. Helpful for special orders. Store HOURS vary slightly based on owner choice.

Okay, so here is the rundown, great prices, incredible collections, it is as all the other comments say about not finding these prices anywhere else. That being said; the staff act entitled and ultra condescending, you can clearly see they dont know how to interact with the general public. Ive actually been coming here for years, and it wasnt until I brought my child in for his birthday did I realize how warped they really are. Long story short, they were completely inappropriate when dealing with my child, I suppose they need some reminding that comics are for kids. They even called the police on me and my family when we spoke up about their mistreatment of our child; seriously, think about what kind of person that cant stand having a child enjoy themselves so much that they rather kick them out and call the police too (for clarification, we did call them a_holes, they apparently were so threatened by a Mother and child that the police had be involved). Howbeit, there is another location, recommend checking that store out rather than this one.

Fantastic store with great serviceIve never even read comic books before but decided to take a visit here and I couldnt have felt more welcome. I went about an hour before closing time and the help I received was incredible. The staff was VERY knowledgable about every single graphic novel and comic book they had in their store and the discounts I received were massive. I will definitely visit again.

Great deals! Their sale on new TPBs makes their prices better than almost everywhere, including online. Even their issue prices are good. I ended up pulling quite a few recent variant covers out of their $1 boxes the last time I was there. They have a great selection, not just Marvel, DC, and Darkhorse. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, and they keep their store clean and organized. One of the bests that Ive been to across the country.

Has an incredible amount of comic books, has basically every paper trade back you could ever ask for!

I buy my hardcover trades here, they have an always 30% sale on DC and Marvel trades. Trades for those who dont know what it is, its when a publisher compiles several issues of a series into one bound book.

This is a little store hidden on the corner of Clarke and Atherton in the city of Long Beach. Although the name of the store may be confusing to some people, this comic store carries some selections of comics. If youre looking for a variety of comics they recommend going to their bigger store in Culver city.

Fantastic Comic book/ Graphic Novels Store

This place has TONS of TPBs, HC, Absolutes and Omnibuses. Most are decently discounted, too. Also used ones, discounted further. If I was a local, I would frequent this place. My one gripe is that they price their OOP books by whatever people list the books for on Amazon. Thats like pricing your books by the list price on eBay. It is not an acurate market price - sold prices in eBay are a better indicator or market price.

Wide assortment of stuff, though their indie section has less room these days. Notable for trade in program to drop off your old books.
