I just bought a 2020 Subaru. Love the car, but the sound system--nope, sorry, not good enough. When I talked with Mike about it, he clearly understood what I was after, and he was forthright in recommending a solution that would really deliver a satisfying listening experience. I am delighted with the results--the sound is clean and clear, and sometimes I hear things in the mix that I hadnt noticed previously. Mike is a legend!! I have a Volvo which is a car that is notoriously hard to work on. Ive had a Bluetooth unit that I purchased that sat around for months because no one I talked to could/wanted to install it into my car. I found Safe and Sound Auto Accessories and without hesitation Mike installed it in literally 30 minutes!! I was so impressed by his expertise I tipped him an extra 100$ for his amazing service. It is 100% legit with everything wired the way I would expect OEM work to be done. No shortcuts, and no shady hack jobs. Everything was done exactly the way I wanted them done with quality parts (highly recommend Diode Dynamics if youre looking for aftermarket leds). When youre looking for custom electrical work on your vehicle, you want to know the guy performing the work knows what theyre doing and is able to provide as near OEM installation as possible. Well, I know a guy who does that, and this is my guy.Old Review:DroneMobile unit needed work. I did some research, and Safe and Sound Auto came up as an authorized dealer. I called on a Friday, and fortunately for me, someone had just cancelled their appointment the following Monday, and he was able to look at my car right away. He complimented the work done by the previous tech (done in a different state), but noted that he wouldve placed the unit in a slightly different location. He did that and I was good to go. Man knows his business and I would highly recommend that you consider Safe and Sound. When it comes to cars and electronics, you do not want to go with someone who does subpar work.

I havent even been in here yet, and I want to suggest this place to everyone who values genuine connection and great customer service. After calling multiple stores looking for a simple set of brackets to install my own panel speakers, I was slightly disappointed when I heard the same Im sorry, it looks like we dont have those in stock, response Id been getting. But with Safe and Sound, I can call around and see if I can have it here as early as tomorrow? Worst case, if nowhere has any we could make some custom ones. He explained all my options and went beyond the truth of we dont have those in stock, to consider options for me that actually showed care for what I needed -rather than simply doing his job robotically. I SO appreciate humans like this, thank you guys for being great!!

Been here twice once for the initial install of a line out converter, amp, and sub. A year later the sub died from a defect in the voice coil which I tested, and mike confirmed. Went in yesterday to see if there was anything else and mike found the subs voice coil was blown and nothing else was wrong. Instead of fixing the sub I opted to upgrade to a better 4 ohm dual voice coil sub, he got it brand new for a cheaper price than I found online. He then had it delivered today 1/18/18 and got the sub setup again! It sounds amazing, and Im still impressed with all of Mikes work no wires are seen in the car and his work is quick and he explains what hes doing or needs to do. Also I cant forget his quotes are accurate and honest, he doesnt charge you out the butt like some places and does amazing work. Overall, I would highly recommend you have mike take care of your car instead of Best Buy or any other shops that do sound system installs!

I was looking for a remote starter for my wifes minivan and found Safe and Sound via the excellent reviews on Google+. Mike had exactly the system I wanted in stock, and was willing to do the install quickly before Christmas, and also had no problem working around my silly schedule. The system is amazing - works perfectly, and there is no trace of the physical installation visible. On top of all this, I brought the minivan back to him because of a door-opening issue that turned out to be user error - but he quickly diagnosed it on a day that, frankly, he should have been off playing pool. I cant recommend Safe and Sound highly enough - even if you dont live in Longmont its worth the drive.

I needed to remove my stereo and speakers before trading in my car. Safe and Sound was prompt, courteous, and very reasonably priced. They answered my questions knowledgeably. Ill definitely be back. Safe and Sound is a great alternative to Car Toys.

On July 17, 2014 I took my daughters Ford Escape to Safe and Sound to have a slightly used Pioneer car stereo installed. I had originally had my daughter take it to Car Toys who had quoted me around $75 to do the job. Once she got there they tried the switch and bait and ended up trying to sell her new speakers since the ones we came with were not the right size. The quoted $75 price for just the stereo installation was now being quoted for $170. My daughter called me an I told her to tell them no way and just leave. Well they had started the installation and when putting things back together they caused some aesthetic damage. But my daughter was nervous and didnt call me or challenge them.With this said Mike did the job at Safe and Sound for $63 and actually took it upon himself to fix a lot of the damage. He did a great job and went way beyond my expectations. I did tip him for his service although he didnt ask for or expect anything from us. If you live in the north metro area at least give Mike a call before just blindly using one of the big box retailers.

AWFUL!I cant understand how everyone has put great ratings for the place. Either people dont care about the quality of the shop itself, or in 3 months(most recent review) the place went to hell. I parked my car and went to the open garage door and was horrified at what I saw. Nothing but furniture piled on more furniture. No doubt recycled to use for upholstery. Nothing wrong with that at all but they were ALL covered with dirt, the garage itself looked trashy. An appearance that brings to mind the people that horde stuff in their sheds that they never use and sit there for years. Since I was there for checking different stores on prices and such for audio systems I went ahead in the store and was hoping it would be better. It was just as bad as the garage. Audio shops usually have the wall displays of various speakers offered. This place had one wall, however all holes were completely empty except for one 6x8, and another of the same size hanging from its hole by its cords. I turned around and left. Why would I possibly think of asking anything about what I need if that was the condition they kept their store in. Just to say, I am not unhappy about the stores location. Many auto places have the garage and smaller inside room that business is done in. It reminded me of some restaurants I had been to and the floors, tables, counters, EVERYTHING looked disgusting and leaving because if it looked like that, how clean was the kitchen that the food was being made in? Same principle.Things dont have to be shiny for me, but really, why would I think about shopping somewhere that looked like it had gone out of business years ago and what was there was the leftover crap they didnt want to take the time to put in a dumpster...Oh, as for marking poor service. They didnt even know I entered the main room, I peeked through the door to the garage and saw 2 guys working with material, less than 15 feet from me. I said hello quite a few times and got no response.AND, people here shouldnt be comparing this place being better than bestbuy and car toys. These are more basic stores that wont have the big brand names and extremely good quality (when coming to more intense sound systems). If you want the good stuff it is only logical you go to a specified car audio shop, as they will have better knowledge and wider variety available to the customers. So, those comparisons are kind of pointless.

I called Mike at Safe and Sound toward the end of the day today after an exceedingly frustrating day at THREE different Best Buys trying to find anybody who had any knowledge with Compustar Remote Start systems in order to supply a new key fob for my new truck. Mike said he had plans that evening but waited for me to get there and proceeded to fix the work that had been done incorrectly by the original installer. What should have been a 10 minute programming task turned into about an hour of full disassembly of the original equipment and when he was finished everything worked perfectly and he only charged me for the parts. A true class act who will be getting all my future business.

I just had a remote start (Compustar Pro T11) installed by Mike, and all I can say is that he truly deserves 5 Stars. Hes a guy who truly appreciates your business and will take care of you. He even let me come in on a Saturday to pay for my system (I wasnt able to meet during the week)From his friendly demeanor to his professional skill, you wont find a better person to install a remote start system. I checked with my local dealership and the only system they offered had a 100 range and was considerably overpriced. Mike and his Compustar systems, are much better than any OEM one, plus his prices are competitive with any installer in the area. As complicated as installing these things are, it only took 2 hours to complete.He does share a shop/space with an upholstery shop, so dont let that bother you. But if youre considering installing a remote start/security system for your vehicle, I ABSOLUTELY recommend Safe and Sound Auto Accessories. Mike is the Man!

I had a stereo from Best Buy that Best buy spent 16 hours trying to install. This is not an exaggeration. They were not able to get it working. I found Mike online. He asked me to stop by before making a final appointment. He wanted to see how involved it would be.Mike is a great guy to talk to. Very friendly. He took a look and said this should be no problem. This is also no exaggeration. We were done in an hour and a half and he did an amazing job. Mike told me he has 16 years experience and it really shows. I watched the entire time he did the work. He pays attention to detail.Ive scheduled for some more work with Mike and I would highly recommend him. I am lucky that I didnt listen to the one reviewer that didnt even give the shop a chance. Oh, and by the way, Mikes prices are very fair. He knew I was in a bind and he charged a fair price but I added a $50 tip for the great work and service he provided.

I had been discussing adding an amp and sub to my 1991 Trans Am GTA for about a year. Finally called Mike to see what his recommendations were. He worked with me to advise/select just what I wanted, and the install was right on time and very clean. Now, I have the clarity and powerful sound my car was missing and am looking for excuses to turn the stereo up even with the roofs off! Mike even went so far as to clean up the radar detector install and put some personal touches on the install (flush mount the head-unit, with a lit GTA bezel plate). I will bring all my alarm and audio business here from now on. Highly recommended.

I finally took the time to get it looked at and knew that I wanted to support a local business rather than give more money to a larger company that was more concerned with taking my money than making sure I was satisfied as a customer. I live in Loveland and searched for businesses local to my area and saw the great online reviews that Mike had received. I decided that the drive to Longmont would probably be worth it so I called to make an appointment with him to have a look at my dysfunctional stereo system.When I arrived, he immediately began taking things apart and diagnosing what could be wrong. Immediately he found the issues causing the problems. As other reviewers have stated, his attention to detail and quality were impressive. He doesnt just want to get the work done and get you out the door--he wants to make sure that the work he does lasts! That kind of pride in workmanship is rare these days.In less than an hour my system was back up and running and thumping away just as it had done all those years ago. Dare I say it sounded even better than when it was first installed which I attribute to Mikes attention to detail and fixing some of the jerry-rigged wiring the previous installer did. And the price for his services really cannot be beat. Oh, and on top of all that, hes a really nice guy and fun to chat with while he does the work.I am THRILLED with the results and plan on using Mikes services again in the near future to install a different deck as well as fixing some paint issues on the vehicle. Quality Auto Sound at 6699 Leetsdale Drive in Denver replaced my deck several years ago with a newer one that supported bluetooth and a USB connection. They didnt send the correct frequencies to my speakers though and managed to blow out every one except the subwoofers.Then came Mike at Safe and Sound. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained exactly what was wrong and what could be done to fix it. Unfortunately, given that my car is a BMW Z4 roadster with non-standard speaker mounts and such, it was very expensive to undo their damage, but the work Mike did was fantastic. The quality of sound coming from the system is excellent, as well as his custom work to get the new speakers into the car. I have never had a sound system that sounded this good in my life, so even though it was very expensive, it is far better than what was OEM for the car (which was pretty good to begin with).Bottom line: Mike will take good care of you!

I had purchased a used truck and to my surprise it had a remote start and keyless entry system on it made by Compustar. I never had anything like that on any of cars before so it was a nice surprise added on with the purchase. The car dealer ship did not know anything about it and did not have any of the remotes.In looking for someone local that may have the parts or the knowledge as to what system I have and what it would take to get it working again. I went to my local auto repair center that I have trusted with all my other vehicles. Only to be told the system I have is very old and that company went out of business and there for should be replaced. Then I thought I would try Car Toys. They told me it was an amateur job, and they never heard of Compustar, they would need to take it out and install one of their basic system. In my continuing search to find some place local I Went to Best By and they had the remote from Compustar I needed. After purchasing them I was unable to make the new remotes work. So I went to Compustar’s web site and located Safe and Sound Auto in Longmont, I called them up they told me no problem the system I have is a very good system and to bring it on up and they would take a look at it.Later that day they took out my control box and made sure it was working, and updated the firmware on it, and reinstalled it then programed my remotes to work with it and they were done. I was also surprised to find out it was also a full blown alarm system to. They had to replace the horn, and installed the new antenna that came with the remotes, and charged me a minimal fee for the New Horn and labor to program the remotes update the firmware for the controller and install the new horn. I just wished more people were honest like the people at Safe and Sound Auto. Its really ok to say you don’t know, or we don’t sell that product and there for we do not know anything about it, but we do sell similar systems, we could install one for you if you can’t find anyone to work on it. I was so please with Safe and Sound Auto I also purchased some add on’s for my compustar system. If you are looking for electronics for you vehicle, I would highly recommend Safe and Sound Auto.
