The sales people are nice and promise anything and everything. They delayed building the house for 4 months. When it was completed their general contractor didnt even have the foundation completed. Then North-star finished the house and instead of going to our property it was delivered to Limon. Then they started bringing the house to the property and could not make it so they left it on the side of the road for three weeks. Finally got the house to the property to find out they dont have permits to set the house. I would not recommend these people to anyone. Great Sales everything after that has been a horrible experience. If i could give zero stars i would.
My brother and I came in today looking to buy a home for our parents. Tim was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions that we had. Phenomenal experience and we are looking forward to working with Northstar in the future!
Our first time popping in and looking at their home. Really impressed with the models and crazy how many different ways they can customize to your needs. Should be a great option once we find the right piece of mountain property.
Very unhelpful, they say “can build with any price range” but doesn’t respond back to emails when I said my budget is 300k even though they’re lowest price per square foot is $59. “It would cost at least 400k” thanks Steven you have great customer service.
Northstar Homes is the place to go if you want to build a new home on your land in Northern Colorado or Wyoming. The model homes are beautiful and you can customize to your taste.
Great variety of model homes on site (6 to be exact). It’s fun to explore through the different models. I do wish they would have the paperwork for each home within each home for easy to grab purposes instead of having to ask a salesperson in the office to grab papers out of filing cabinets. Prices are higher than expected but fun to explore!
We’ve been working with Northstar since mid 2019, signed our contracts in January 2020, house wasn’t set until September 2020, and we’re still not done. We were led to believe a mountain property was not an issue however it absolutely is. We’ve been told repeatedly that they did not want this job because we’re too far away (59 miles) and are only doing this as a favor. Work is never completed in the time frame we’re given and when a crew is finally sent out, they do a terrible job. From what I can tell, the bones of the house are good but the construction on this end is embarrassing (boards aren’t cut or set straight, errors are filled with putty, floor transition strips won’t stick.) Communication is slow or ignored especially if I call or email with a concern. I’m hoping things pick up but for now I’m left without a livable house and an uncertain future. With my current experiences, I would not recommend Northstar Homes.
We bought our house and had it delivered and set last year. Let me start by saying that I did a significant amount of research prior to picking a home company, years of research! I narrowed it down to two companies near Denver and I am thrilled we went with Northstar Homes. We live about three hours away from the shop in Loveland and did a good amount of our communications via phone and email, it was no trouble at all. They were professional, helpful and honest throughout the process. We love our home, it is everything we hoped for and more. They worked with me on having my “big scenic windows” on the front of the house and were very patient. The gentleman we were working with was, again, patient with me and told me that he has never had a client so thorough in questions and planning (I am difficult, I know!)…Since then, we have had a couple issues with settling walls and doors and the warranty crew came through and solved it quickly and effectively. I would HIGHLY recommend this company!
Nice people, but overpriced by a long-shot.
Staff was were friendly and knowledgeable.
Very well constructed custom modular homes. I was amazed at the quality and options available. A great value for your money with sizes and upgrades for a variety of budgets and individual wants or needs.
Great place to visit. Jerry was very helpful we will definitely be back one we find the land we want.
Don’t do it. They charge me $158 to set up the service and their technical ended up messing up my house breaker. I had to argue with them for more than 3 weeks to pay for the breaker and they ended up saying i have to pay cancellation fee even though I mail l them to cancel my service on the third day of being set up. I also send them the picture of my cancellation letter with the date but they refuse to cancel on top of that they are asking to pay next month. I strongly suggest not to get service with them!!!!!!
Steve Bennett was our sales person and found him knowledgeable and great to work with . Although we did not buy a home with Steve we would highly recommend working with him.
I have driven by this business for a long time and finally decided that stop in a look at a house that I have loved every since I saw it. These are pre fab. Homes built in Nebraska. I was was pleasantly surprised at both the quality and prices of the homes. The one I liked turns out to be even better than I expected. If you have some time. Go by and see for yourself.
Its been a little over a year now so I can leave an honest review. This review is on the company more than the home. Overall experience was decent. Our sales guy randy was a nice guy, he knew about the company but not construction. Communication was hit or miss but not too bad. Norm the owner is a good guy, always very kind. Only problem were having is we have cracks in alot of the sheet rock seams and we cant beg anyone to fix them. We have called numerous times and they just pass us off. They have a sheet rock guy call us but he never shows up. So we have been living with a crack all the way across our living room ceiling and bedroom that everyone gets to see. We now feel like we paid them and they are done and dont care now that they have all their money.
Nice helpful folks. Lots of options for every home built.
This place is very friendly and helpful in getting your home built. The floor models are beautiful and very spacious. Quite a variety of houses including cabins and sheds.
Very nice houses, low sales pressure, reasonable prices.
We purchased our home through Northstar Homes and it has been the most frustrating experience. I would never recommend them to anyone. Communication has been a never ending issue, there are structural and electrical issues with the home, ongoing delays, countless promises have been broken and they have completely lost our trust. Learn from our mistakes and find another company to build your home.
You will love the style of little homes they have quite a few models to chose from
Very friendly staff, not pushy at all, but very attentive. A very nice experience. I would definitely recommend.
Awesome place to be able to visit manufactured homes but it would be nice if they had prices of each home broken down inside each house including options. It is great to be able to walk around on your own to browse the homes though!
Friendly staff. Great models and floor plans. Extremely expensive.
Watch out!!! They hired a crew of misfits to install our home who knocked the bark off of both of my trees, took down a portion of my fence ( and did not put it back up.) not to mention a wood fence to my neighbors house that was knocked down. The kitchen floor creaks, and I keep blowing breakers. The whole experience was a nightmare that I keep reliving when I walk around my yard or have to reset breakers!!!
You build it they will come
Helpful and informative
Just ok
Nice folks
