I love it here! There are so many choices from lingerie and toys they specialize in BDSM and have their own dungeon. Im amazed with the quality of their corsets and bondage chokers I plan on shopping here regularly my boyfriend and I always have questions the sales clerk is helpful in filling us in on.

The whole entire placed smelled like stale cigarettes and the guy behind the desk was not wearing a mask. Will not be back. They cant stay safe and if the items I buy smell like smoke, that is unsanitary to me. Very disgusting and I did not feel comfortable shopping with someone who did not have safety for others in mind. 2/18: the owner replied back to me stating that a female was working the whole day and was wearing her mask. When I went in for a visit, around noon or so, there was a man there with glasses and chin length hair, he was not wearing a mask. I do not appreciate anyone, especially a store owner, stating that I would not be telling the truth about this. I have nothing to lie about or a vendetta against anyone.From seeing other reviews this looks like a cop out response and its really unfortunate that a store owner doesnt take pride nor feedback well enough to improve their livelihood.

Im bummed to see all the poor ratings for this place. Ive been going here for years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Both Lady Linda and (I do believe her name is) Tanya have always been kind, encouraging, playful and professional. Not only does this business have a wide array of QUALITY BDSM gear made by local people (unlike cheap competitors), toys, lingerie and videos, but theyre also very knowledgeable and kind to newcomers. Ive been in the lifestyle for 15 years and Ive brought at LEAST a dozen newbies into this shop and theyve had nothing but fantastic experiences. They host workshops, demos, and awesome get togethers for both newcomers and seasoned kinksters (when covid wasnt an issue of course). TL;DR, if you want a positive experience with knowledgeable and experienced staff, give the Lair a try. Dont be afraid, they dont bite... much.

I worry that some of the reviews describing a rude employee are from people who expect that super peppy fake smile starbucks-barista-esque style of customer service everywhere they go. me and my partner went into the shop and both the owner and the girl working were very kind and helpful (the employee went out of her way to dig around for something specific my partner wanted) and i’m thankful for the authenticity. as for the stores selection it was fantastic and i will be back to hopefully buy up the whole back room looool

Nov 18 2020 I went in to buy some items around 6 pm and the gentle man who helped was very rude. Just huffing and puffing; Swesring under his breath because I requested assistance during his smoke break . It was a very uncomfortable experience

Before Covid I would go here as much as possible to support them, I’ve only ever had good experiences with the staff even when being a bit bratty. I love this store and the people who own and run it, it has one of the largest BDSM toy selections I’ve seen.

Really great selection. However the owner has been really unpleasant every time Ive gone there, and most recently was aggressively rude to me for no good reason. I will not shop here again.

I had an issue w a whip and the owner had it replaced pdq. Five stars for service, less stars for store issues.

My experience with Lovers Lair has been nothing short of exemplary, which leaves me confused by many of these negative reviews.The shop is stand alone, not affiliated with any other store or chain. Upon entering I am usually acknowledged and then allowed to browse freely without input from the staff, which I find to be ideal. However, any time I have had questions they have been answered directly and helpfully.They carry a truly amazing selection of handmade items as opposed to the usual mass produced garbage you tend to find in most other shops, and host classes and events.When I attended one of their classes it was handled very professionally, and I found it to be wonderfully informative.Highly recommended, I will be returning for sure

Went in here with my girlfriend on memorial day. She used to run an adult store so going to a lovers was not her cup of tea.We were both very impressed with the collection and quality of product. The worker behind the desk showed us higher quality equipment and the differences between them both.We spent about 200 bucks our first time in.We definitely will be going back.

The worker, a long haired blonde person, is the worst salesperson you can imagine. Every question I asked, they answered with a condescending attitude. They obviously do not know the art to a successful business is making the customer feel comfortable and relaxed. I, of course, brought my business elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Lovers. (By the way, this place is not affiliated with Lovers at all. The girls there are so sweet and such an opposite experience to this one.)

I used to shop here regularly, but wont any more. They continue to have Max teach. We went to a class at the store and watched him violate a students consent, laughing and claiming that it was pushing when he just coerced her into giving up her limit. We left and did some digging and found out hes known for this and most places dont let him teach. The store has a great selection of BDSM stuff but if they dont care about consent then we wont shop there.

This place is outstanding. If you are looking for run of the mill sex shop items, dont go here. However if you are looking for amazing fetish and BDSM gear and an educated, friendly staff who are willing answer questions, provide a tape measure make helpful suggestions, then this is the place. I have read the negative reviews, and those people should have gone to Lovers Package for their nice tame vanilla sexy times. I will stick with Lovers Lair.

Great selection of gear. Had nice sized section dedicated to BDSM. Staff was very polite and helpful. Their prices on the gear I looked at all seemed very reasonable and some of it pretty cheap for decent quality items.

I attended one of their classes with my girlfriend. The instructor was creepy and checked out women in the class. He also pushed his expensive private lessons. My girlfriend was uncomfortable around him and we wont be going back.When I posted this on Yelp the store lied and claimed a conflict of interest to get the review deleted. So dont believe the Yelp reviews because they are able to remove bad ones.

They have everything! The person working the counter was very helpful and didnt make me feel awkward at all, even when I had some silly questions. Very comfortable atmosphere, me and my friends will definitely be back.

Place itself wasnt bad but because of the creepy guy working there, we didnt want to go deep into the store. He made unhelpful comments about the items my friend and I were looking at and it felt like he was leering at us. Would be willing to go back during a different employees shift, maybe earlier in the day when there are less sketchy men loitering around.

Perhaps It just want at a very bad time but the person who was the closing shift was not helpful at all and kind of made things a little awkward. He made it seem as if he were closing when he still had about an hour and a half to about an hour and 45 minutes to go. when I asked a question he just kind of snapped. Pretty much ruined my experience and I probably would never go again. Perhaps the staff there is nice and helpful but that old person was not.

Shopped there last month, and what a mistake. Lots of BDSM toys but the guy behind the counter was rude, and everything smelled like smoke. He tried to get me to sign up for their mailing list so Id know about upcoming classes but the teacher they use was kicked out by every other place in Seattle so no thanks.

Somehow this store manages to get negative reviews moved off Yelp. Ive shopped here before when we lived closer but since they insist on promoting an abusive teacher who got himself banned from every other store/venue in WA (and OR, and BC) I cant support them. Consent matters and someone who continues to violate consent shouldnt be teaching.

Helped me find all that i wanted

I was looking for a sexy piece of lingerie for my upcoming getaway with my boufriend; and I thought I would try out Lovers Lair. When I walked in I received a snarky look, and a sneer but no greeting by the staff at the front counter. I spent less than 5 minutes o=looking....That store is such a mess, and is way too cramped...Needless to say I did not buy anything and I will not be back.

Been a few times. They have an event at the beginning of each month that really delves deep into the fetish culture. While some of the things that go on there would give most people an awkward vibe like watching a trans man get caned, the people still come through as a seemingly nice community of fetishists. The store is super stocked, not like lovers that only sells mass produced stuff. You find your REAL items here. the only bad note i have observed would be a cross dressing guy that works the counter. He seems super awkward which majes the visit get an awkward vibe, though im sure he is just being sexist and assuming im there to steal something. Ive seen him work normally with women that come into the shop, which kind of annoyed me. Anyway, i recommend going and checking it out. Just expect the awkward dude to give you weird vibes, Mistress usually can fix your awkward vibe so look for her.

Amazing owners who run a well stocked store of all things for lovers and fetishes. First friday of every month they have an after hours Fet Night thats like an office christmas party with people just being themselves, and I mean people of all types, who no matter how weird or eccentric they may be, really show that we are all the same; just people enjoying themselves and not taking life too seriously. Food and snacks and good times. I had a blast on Oct 4th...thanks Mistress!

The salesperson who is a man with breasts, is VERY rude, impatient & unprofessional. Will NEVER shop there again.
