I visit this store occasionally for a change of scenery, since I usually frequent the Wards and Old Forest Road locations. This store doesnt often have anything that I cant find at another location. My biggest complaint with this store is that I find it difficult to use my Walmart Pay account due to my phone having a really hard time being able to connect to the app when I am on the premises. I also had a poor experience with their pickup process today - it was my first time trying it at this location, and the parking signage was wrong, so I sat and waited in a parking spot that the employees didnt recognize as a pickup spot, even though there was a sign in front of it (and several others in the same row) with a unique spot number listed and the store phone number on it. While I may still visit for in-store shopping, I will not be using this location for pickup again without the parking situation being addressed.

Pretty cool, especially with the grab and go being added. I just wanna know why the machines are card only 99% of the time and never any cashiers with all those cash registers

Madison Heights VA Walmart is a great store. I mainly go there for pick up orders and they hardly make me wait. They are prompt, fast and very friendlyThank you Walmart workers

Its your standards Walmart. There are better examples of stores but this one is fine for you normal run off the mill Walmart. The one Wards Rd is bigger as is the one on Forest. It has all the things you would expect in a Walmart. The craft and business supply sections could be better. The over all layout is pretty typical.

People still walking around store with no masks... apparently they take them off after they come inside.

I ordered tires online and booked a 7am appointment when the tires arrived so I could have them installed. Arriving at the auto center on time the door was locked so I had to walk around to another door. There was no one at the counter so I asked a technician and he told me my tires were not there and I had to go to the front of the store and bring them to him. He also said there was no one to check me in for my appointment and I would have to wait. Someone arrived at 730 and focally checked me in, and they found the tires in the tire room where they should of been all along. It took one and a half hours to do a job that should take 20 minutes tops.

They need a better selection for mens clothing, but other than that, they have good merchandise

Worst Wal-Mart ever. Staff was beyond rude. Layout was bass ackwards and everything just looked thrown up on the shelves. But Staff, more specifically the managers is what really did it in for me. Pushy, impatient, unsympathetic snobs. Doubt I will return to this location.

As an avid Walmart shopper for years, let me tell you, this is THE WORST WALMART IN THE WORLD. Dirty. Crowded. Slow. Employees with 5th grade level intelligence.

They have good prices and what u need

Future pick up placed between 5-6, arrived at 530 called and was advised by a female it would be 20 more minutes. Waited 20 called back spoke to a male who advised they were running nearly 2 hours behind and he was unsure why she would have said 20 minutes. Was advised to cancel using the app, feature was unavailable had to call back again and to cancel same female stated she wrote my name down and would get to it later. Asked for supervisor who canceled my order immediately. Value your time? Use another pickup location, they are terrible.

I never have a problem here. I go all the time because it is convenient for when I get off work. I have had problems locating things, ask the staff and they are friendly and help you right away. When I have had to return things it is really easy. The returns desk people dont have an issue returning your stuff even without a receipt. They just use the card you bought it from. Would reccomend this store. I usually avoid the busy hours because it is Walmart and everyone goes there.

Wait staff jumped right in to assist me with my merch that I needed.. check out was fast and very pleasant.. hats off to Walmart Madison Heights

Walmart definitely can save you some money in gas when you can go to the bank, pick up medicine at the pharmacy, indulge with something from the bakery, buy your groceries, shop for clothes and shop for housewares all at the same place. Yes..all at the same store....thats Walmart. Its very convenient.

Rob in the auto department is awesome, instead of listening to my complaint and letting someone else fix the job he did it himself! My first time going to this store because I was getting decorations for my new place, I was offered helped by Owen in electronics and he was very patient with my indecisiveness. Those guys are great and I appreciate them working with positive attitudes.

Just wrong .... do not come here for auto service. Came here to make an apoitment for tires Monday Morning at 10 AM. Left phone number etc. So Monday they have their entire parking lot on the auto section under construction and closed. No one called me to tell me it would be closed when I asked the store manager - no help at all

I’m giving this Walmart a 5 star rating because of their customer service employee Devante. He’s the best customer service rep I’ve seen and I’ve been to many Walmart’s across the country. Great job.

Need cashiers it is a shame have a lot of people working and only 1 or 2 registers open really this place could do alot better.

Everyone is friendly but occasionally a grumpy someone but its all good. Clean and stocked not too crowded. So very pleasant.

This place? Go on your own accord. If u gotta call, get a good response, need help, or to take something back, good luck! Id go elsewhere.

This is a 3 star Walmart, I give it 3 stars because their inventory is subpar compared to say, The Lynchburg Wards road location. However, compared to others...they keep a decent amount of cashiers on hand and their workers are mostly well mannered and customer service oriented. Their carts are in desperate need of repair too.

The ones in electronics are lazy, and are on their cellphone half of the time, instead of helping the customers. Long lines every time I go there. If you know its a holiday coming up, you should have every lane open.

We visited to buy over-the-counter items from the pharmacy. The associate was helpful ; we didnt ask for help but she walked to us because she saw we were in distress. We were totally confused and she explained to us how plan worked for retirees, then checked our items too because nothing matched the book but the book was an example of items that could be selected. She stayed with us until we completed our purchase. I was so grateful and felt like a load had been lifted. Extraordinary customer service and I really appreciate the kindness. I felt cared for.

I have been calling every number at this Walmart for the last 2 hours and not a single solitary person will answer the phone. That is just ridiculous.

Too many people waiting in line they need more register s open ..other than that walmart is my favorite place to shop almost

Need management, teamwork in sharing skills. In knowledge of computer work. I stood an extra 1hr. trying to type in my virtual credit card numbers. I went to customer service. Young school kid who. Works at Walmart had to showed the manager. How it works.

Convenient. Store could be a little cleaner. I understand having every other line open due to pandemic but can self checkout include cash pay and cash back services too. If I have three things and 5 ppl in front of me have full carts Im willing to put down the item and walk out.

Dont buy any vehicle batteries on line for pick up! They dont have a way to process your core fee being returned. Even corporate couldnt help the customer service people or managers.

Parking lot needs re-designed to increase traffic flow and reduce the risk of car crashes (ie medians and concrete barriers with landscaping). Right now there is a low-key 6-way stop that confuses most drivers.Lastly, please get some new shopping carts. I’ve shopped at this Walmart approximately 40+ times Aug 2020 - Jan 2021 and I’ve only had 2 carts that worked properly (ie working wheels, seat pad, plastic handle guard). Definitely not putting their best foot forward.

Went to this store specifically for a product they advertised online for $7. I get there match all the numbers up to make sure I had the correct item. I had the ad pulled up on my phone showing what the price should be. The sweet girl up front said that she needed a manager to override, that it would just be a minute. Anna who was the manager took forever to come over. Told me to add the in store pickup only item to my cart on the website. Which is impossible because it’s INSTORE PICK UP ONLY at that location! Then says there’s nothing she could do. So another manager comes up scans it three times. Then also says there nothing they can do. This all took about 20 minutes to get absolutely no where. How do you advertise something on your website Walmart.com for a price and then not honor it. I believe that’s definitely false advertisement.

The employees there are very nice, they have an actual bank inside the store and they have auto service like tires

You can find just about anything thing that you need and its always clean. They also have nice clean bathrooms which is always nice. About the only thing I would have to complain about is they need more cash registers open.

Tried your grocery pick up today for the first time !! It has been a nightmare !! 16 calls and was put on hold 4 different times !! I asked man if I need to speak with man he said please dont ?! Then he put .me back on hold and then I hung up o asked one question and no one could answer I got emailat 430 saying my order was being prepped 6pm nothing very unprofessional and its sad !! My first time was a nightmare

This was the first time I had used order online and pick up at the store. I had to call them twice to find out the status. I was told they were looking for it, because an employee had misplaced the order. After a half hour wait I finally got it. First and last time Ill use this service.

No registers with people working. I had to wait in a line for self check out. We are making Mr. Walmart rich and hes not paying anybody to check our stuff out.

I went there for a specific product. The first employee I approached was clearly not interested in helping me but he wasnt rude...just a disinterested teen.I then found someone who went out of his way to help (thats what pulled it up from 3 to a four).

As a Senior Citizen Living In the Heart of Virginia we find Wal-Mart to be a one-stop shopping service in our community with congenial accommodating personnel. The multi department store is designed to meet our every need. Including a convenient drive-thru Pharmacy lane. When challenged with ambulatory health issues Wal-Mart is a Quality Company that provides its customers with an electric shopping carts.

The pickup in Madison Heights is awful! I have waited as long as 30 plus minutes for them to bring out my order!

Walmart is a good place to go if you need a little of everything from shopping, tires, haircuts or banking. One stop shop. Wish they had more of the products they use to carry.

Self check out with no lines open with a hr to go to till they close it sucks when u have to wait that long line to self check out smh

WoodForest Branch has good customer service. Friendly customers shopping in store. Store is clean, organized, and well stocked with items.

Call electronics multiple times to double check an item in stock nobody would answer. So I drove an hour to see for myself and nobody in the entire store was customer friendly, it took me ten minutes to find someone to help me look for the item I wanted, and the girl refused to look claiming she knew they didnt have the item even after I said I drove a long way to get there she could care less to double check but eventually did. She was right but I won’t go back this Walmart!

I accidentally dropped a credit card at this store. Luckily it was found & the staff were trustworthy. They required an ID to pick it up. Thankfully, especially in covid-19 times.

Difficulty walking down some aisles due to pallets of merchandise needing to be stocked.

Needed canning supplies that were out of stock locally. Ordered online for store pickup. Store does require masks (good) but in store pickup is on the far back wall behind electronics. No one was there and another employee tracked down someone to help. She was having trouble locating specific item, understandably with the variety of similar things so we went together and there werent the items shown in inventory. Helpful attitude but a couple hours wasted and pickup location isnt quick or convenient.

Appomattox Walmart is closer, however, we prefer Madison Heights because they have more products to choose from and they are stocked better.

It is always fun to go to Wal-Mart and this time was no different.

Worth driving to walmart in medisonheight from other side of Lynchburg not for shopping but to fill your tank from Murphy cause there gas are the cheapest around same time shop in walmart saves a lot
