Really a good place to buy kids toys under one roof

I worked here as a seasonal employee and it was... decent. My fellow employees were friendly and the customers were nice, even on Black Friday and the days leading up to Christmas, but the managers were less than helpful. They didnt do much unless asked to and only smiled when customers were near them or employees sold rewards cards or charge cards. They asks forgot to give me lunch breaks after +8 hour days on multiple occasions. Besides the managers though the place will most likely have what you are looking to get for children and be a quick experience.

The electronics section was kept in good order. Just off to the side of it, where collectibles are, was not so fortunate. I was taking some pictures of things to show to my friends, so they could purchase them, when what I assume was loss prevention walking up pretty fast to me. My phone was in my large purse, so I suppose I dont fault them, but it was kinda intimidating. I wasnt stealing anything, but they sure made me feel like I was guilty. They young man in electronics was helpful when he noticed me and we had a short conversation at the register while he was ringing me up.I would go here for amiibos or World of Nintendo figures again.

Went there at a popular time (according to google maps). The store had decent crowd inside. Waited there for 30 minutes before getting any service in the bikes section. Requested service three times. Even though I had to go and get help myself at the end. The guy helping me earned the two extra stars for the store.

Toys R Us Express Troy the store is very well stocked. I shop for soft toys for my Grandson. Also its a good place to find Gel Pens premium artist quality, to use with my Creative Haven Coloring Books.

It was good while it lasted. I think most of my generation will dearly miss toys r us in general but this store was one of the better ones in the area it will be closing its doors very soon there was little left there when I went a few days ago.

I love this place because I find what Im looking for at least 90% of the time. I also love this place because the products on their Web site give discounts to the same products that are in the store. Great customer service.

Found the gift needed for 4 yr old girl. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked and clean. I will definitely be back to shop again.

The greatest thing about this store was the people who worked there. There were a handful of folks who worked there long past ten years.I always felt we did more than just create baby registries. We were actively participating in the special landmark events of other peoples lives.I feel honored for all the lives i shared during my years there. I hope to meet my families elsewhere beyond.I grew up going here and my son grew up going there over the years i worked there.

Really big selection of toys for different ages. Big queues on checkout today. Maybe it was so busy today because of Christmas. Will definitely visit again

Good variety of toys, prices higher than department stores. Staff not so helpful, lines always to cash out, just😲 terrible, terrible, terrible... 😞I only go there if I have no other choice, thats why I give it a 2 star rating!

The most options I have ever seen in toys at one place. Sure to make your kids happy even if you do not buy anything. Remember the feeling when you walked into a Toy store as a kid ? :-)

Really going to miss this place. All sales people were so nice all the time...especially today with it being so busy.

Well stocked for an express store. Great selection of Lego sets. Barbie sets were a bit thin. Got a canned push for rewards club sign-up at check out, could have done without that.

I really dont write these things like some of the other individuals but this place has made my wife pretty unhappy at times. Overall I agree the service there is pretty poor. I try to go to a different location cause I have so many gift cards. My major problem is they are overpriced and to price match is a hassle when I can just go to the other store and buy without the wait. There are a few employees that are generous and caring such as an employee Vanassa. Also the funniest thing about the corporation is my wife was so dissatisfied with some things about being on hold excessively only to find that things are in stock and not there when arrived. Like the employee didnt even look for it and also other minor things. Corporate said they would contact her back and never received another email or call of any sorts... If it wasnt for the few sweet people that work there I wouldve given the store 1 star. If there were a buy buy baby built around this store it would be bye bye babies r us.

When my older kids were younger I used to take them into the store to pick the toy they wanted. Staff was nice and gave Happy Birthday balloons with a crown. Will miss you TRS.

Good selection. I like how they price match. That is unless its black Friday weekend then they dont price match. Had to leave my purchase behind due to this major inconvience. Even after I received an email stating they price match basically everyone all holiday long. Very deceiving.

Toys-r-Us closing is depressing at best. The sale is only 5%-10% on most items and 20% for candy. So, it is sad that the stores are closing and they are throwing a miserable final sale.

I order online and pick up here. They are so fast. You are in and out in 5-10 minutes. Perfect.

Had a great experience went shopping with the kids and significant other for our daughter birthday gift and she doubled the bag for me

This Toys R Us is great they do a really good job trying to do events for kids and keep people involved so that will keep coming back its just sad to think that someday Toys R Us will be no more because of Amazon and all the competition out there who knows maybe Amazon will buy Toys R Us as like a preview store for all their toys who knows only time will tell

Pretty clean store, and the employees are kind. Great place to buy clothes and necessary items for babies, as they have a large variety, however, they need to include more colors for the girls instead of pink, white, and gray.

Always love going to the toy store. Relatively neat and clean. Looked a little short on staff, online buyers really hurting good community business like these.

Love Toys R Us. They usually have the item you have been looking for and then some. Selections are awesome, lots of variety.

I like previewing toys in person before buying them. Brick and morter stores still have their place.

This is hands down my favorite toys r us. Been to a lot of them and was so happy to find this store.

Constantly putting toys out before licensing release date. The woman manger is the rudest person I have ever met who lets her cashiers with a ton of people and doesnt offer to help or try to help. I have had an issue the last two times there and both time unimpressed with her and even called corporate. We shop at Toy R Us regularly and this one is hands down the WORST one in and around Metro Detroit. Get a new staff, it is much needed.

Yesterday I was in ToysRus 32700 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071 store. I had asked for 15% discount as I have received coupon mail. First they said it is only applicable for 11/3 and 11/18, whereas as in the coupon it is mentioned like 11/3-11/18 it means it is valid any day between these 2 days. After my argument they said it is not applicable on Lego product. I have purchased almost $189 product. I am very much disappointed with the service and behavior of the store manager. I have decided not to go again in any ToysRus store.

Their stuff was always overpriced. Now they are going out of business, sign is misleading...looks like it says 30% off. When it really says up to 30% off. There were no better deals than ant other time in there. Total joke. Most stuff was only 10% off

This location is horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. Rude staff, sadistic store Manger, and disorganized. I filed a complaint to corporate after a few incidents thst were toys r us/ baby r us fault 100% so hopefully things will change... But I wont hold my breath. They most likely have lost a customer who would have spent a ton seeing as I just had a baby. Its their loss not mine. Ill be spreading the word though to all of my friends who are mothers too. Retailers shouldnt be rude when other places like target sell all the same things.

So long, the next generation will not know the joy of shopping at such stores

Sad to see an iconic toy store ruined by corporate raiders & Vulture capitalists. The raiders/vultures saddled the once profitable superstore with $5.2 billion in debt. The debt is a legacy of the 2005 leveraged buyout by Bain Capital, KKR and Vornado Realty Trust. Meanwhile those Vultures reaped hundreds of millions in extracted profits, and top executives are leaving with $16M in Golden Parachutes.

The place was relatively clean and stocked considering I was there after Christmas, still had stock of most items, the shelves where clean and organized

I only go there to but my little pony stuff. When I go there, they rush me me and look so miserable. I would go to one in FRICKIN JAPAN IF I WANTED TO!

Hardly any staff in the store to help.me find what I need. Also had to stand at checkout for over 20 minutes because they had only one cashier who was going very very slow I only had 3 people in front of me and they didnt have that many products. The wait time to check out was absolutely ridiculous. One cashier was actually taking people but decided she shouldnt turn her light on to.let customers know her lane was open, sadly I realized this after having waited forever in the one lane that was actually lit up to indicate it was open.

Called and asked if they had a specific toy in stock and they said they had a whole pallet of them. Drove about 45 minutes to this specific location and was told that the pallet is showing up in the computer and they are unable to find it.The store was pretty messy, there were toys all over the floor. The only reason why Im not giving this a 1 star review is because the manger on duty was awesome. He was extremely apologetic for the whole situation.

The aisles are mislabeled when you print a registry, its disorganized, has poor selection for baby items, and staff is rude and incompetent. I had to return a crib to the store and had to argue with the lady that the side sticker on the box WAS the packing slip and to just try to scan it to see if it worked. She argued back with me multiple times that I was wrong, and then finally tried and it worked. When going for friends registries, I cant find anything in the correct aisle. And anytime Ive had to check out, it takes forever even if there is only one person ahead of me. I wish there was another babies r us closer just because of gift cards I have. This place needs an overhaul.

I usually never write reviews, but I thought it would be nice to warn people stay away from the Madison Heights Toys R Us at all costs! I would rather drive an extra 40 miles to go to any other Toys R Us location. The location by Lakeside Mall is always busy, but clean, organized and helpful employees.Madison Heights location I tried calling them about 15 times in a 3 hour period, but they disconnected their phone line. When I went in, I asked 3 emplyees where a particular item was and they did not know or cared enough to try and find an item for me. They just pointed and said somewhere over in that section. Then the lady at customer service was looking it up for me, then got distracted left me at the counter for 15 minutes walking past me without acknowledgement to go chat with other employees.

Other than the fact that I went shopping during the Holidays. They are definitely a super store!

Decent selection, extremely poor check-out movement. 2 people in line going on 25m wait. To make matters worse they bait people into signing up for their rewards cards in series with the line of people. This process takes a ridiculous amount of time and for some reason requires information such as household income even though the rewards card is not a credit card.

In and out pretty fast comsidering its the holiday season.

Kids love it. Parking lot could use some work (poor entrance/exit, very small).

Kinda defeats the purpose in my humble opinion, limited selection ... Limited quantities ...

I have found this store helpful and easy to deal with for baby registry and returns from it. Shopping is fun the store is hugs and a little chaotic at times but the selection is outstanding and lots of good deals.

It was quite big store. Checkout person left anti-theft tag on one of the items! Had to make a second trip to get it removed.

This is another place i am glad i do not work for. all they did was use me and Pressing me to get people to sign up for stupid Credit Cards. i was lied to in a interview that i would get a raise if i got alot of people to sign up. which is why i Quit. they dont let you go to the bathroom when you have to go. then people want to use you to cover for them while they are on Lunch but when i needed to go to the bathroom they did not want to do the same for me. plus the people who came in there were rude as hell and i am one person who do not LET ANYBODY talk to me ANY KIND OF WAY. i am glad i quit

The managers were incredibly rude and unhelpful especially the Indian woman and the brunette. I was waiting 15 minutes for someone to tell me if the item I was looking for was available or not. The managers I encountered seemed very arrogant, rude, and obnoxious and they were not helpful at all.

Its an Express shop. So some of the regular stuff are missing but for my infant and toddler requirements, I can say that they carry all essentials

TRU has had the same problems for years. Poor selection, staff that is clueless and for some reasons extremely long lines about 75% of the time I go.

Every time i go here I always find and get exactly what I want, plus a lot more for what I spend.

Last two visits the cashier was very slow. We went again a few days ago with gift cards and it turned into a major deal. As far as stock goes they seem to have the shelves filled.

Employee found and held specific toy for us and due to sale made it very easy to buy 1 item at 1 location and come to customer service get the other item and be charged sale prices was way easier than it sounds will always go here. Also compared to other toys r us WAY MORE SELECTION
