I would highly recommend this jeweler. I sent them on a wild goose chase to replace an old watch band and they far exceeded my expectations. And then they repaired my bracelet, ring, and necklace beautifully. Plus, it is a really fun store to browse, so many retro relics from the past!

Boris is the nicest, most honest person I have had the pleasure of doing business with in a long time. I went to him for jewelry repair/design and with a specific budget. Boris helped me make the perfect selection, even suggesting not to do things due to my budget and value. I have gone to several jewelers before, specific high end jewelers that were recommended to me, and I had a much better experience with Boris. I will only be doing business with Art Cal in the future. Respectful, honest, and fair.

Art Carl is one of my favorite family owned shops around. Boris and his father are kind and helpful, no BS, and have a lot to offer. They helped me out a few years back when things were tight and the pawn program they have is fair and reasonable. This place is amazing. I’ve been coming here for years and have always gotten great customer service and the quality of the products will blow your mind. This year has been a hard one for many people with this pandemic going on. I myself can not leave the house because of my health issues. But I wanted to propose to my gf this Christmas but I was unsure how I was gonna make that happen from home. You just can’t order jewelry online. Well you can but you don’t really know what you may get. I called up yesterday and talked with the owner Boris about the situation that I was in and that I couldn’t leave the house. He took the time out of his busy day to send me pictures of rings in the display case that were in my search criteria. With his help we were able to pick out my favorite 3 and then make a decision from there. Most people wouldn’t have taken the time to take pictures and send them to someone. I was able to find the perfect ring for my gf. Now your gonna ask how did I get it from the store. The owner drove to my house and brought it to me. This is unheard of, I’ve never known anyone that would have done that. He took time out of his day so that my gf and I would have a very special Christmas together. There is nothing more than you could every ask for. So if your looking for something special and you want to work with a true professional and just down right good person than come to this place. You will not be disappointed.

I texted Boris hoping he had something that wasnt even advertised, and he did. He sent me pictures and described the item for me, FAR more than all other sellers had done for me. I travelled almost an hour and a half to get there and when I did, the item was exactly as he said it was, and exactly what I was looking for. Since its Christmas season, while I was there I looked for something for my wife and he helped me with that as well. No high pressure sales... just help. THEN brought it to my car for me!! 5 stars!!

The guy in there these days is great. I have been going to Art Carl for many different things since I was a kid. I actually think some family members got their wedding and engagement rings there over the years. Always reasonable. Ill be going there as long as they are around. Thanks to Art Carl for their years if dedication to Malden. Dont forget they are still in the square on pleasant st just closer to the beginning of the st since they moved.

We bought our engagement ring here and not only is it my favorite thing Ive ever owned, but working with Boris was one of my favorite shopping experiences. We wanted a vintage ring that was unique and Boris helped us to find the perfect one. We recommend him to all of our friends. My fiance was nervous about purchasing an engagement ring after hearing different pricing at different stores, and then he met Boris at Art Carl Jewelers. Boris took the time to ask him what he wanted and then went out of his way to find a perfect, clear beautiful solitaire diamond. He then ordered a setting that my fiance told him I would like and let him know when it was ready. My fiance couldnt have asked for better customer service and a better experience. I am the executor of my late fathers estate and was alerted to the fact that items had been illegally stolen and later pawned to the Art Carl several years ago. Somehow by the grace of God and/or simply great record keeping the owners of this shop were able to locate what was pawned/loaned, when and by whom. The owners were very sympathetic to the situation and offered to continue to look for the items in other databases without them earning a penny. They turned a still sad situation and at least brought some closure for the beneficiaries of the estate. Much thanks again.

I wanted to share my experience I had with this awesome family business! My husband was looking for a wedding gift for me, so he went there looking for something special for me to wear on the big day. They had quite the collection of jewelry because I ended up receiving two pairs of jewelry from this store! One was an antique diamond and aquamarine drop, (my something blue) and other were diamond studs. I fell in love with both pair, but was concerned with our budget for the wedding on how much he spent. Turns out he got an AMAZiNG deal from Boris the manager of the store. I go in there frequently to get them cleaned and inspected, and they always take good care of me. I have found such unique things in the store for gifts for my friends and family, and the prices are always so fair. If you want to shop small and local, and also get a great deal you have to stop by this shop and check it out.

I was boda borging and had some time to kill, I popped into this awesome little shop next store. The toys in the window attracted me, and I was able to find an awesome gift for my husband and my father who are really hard to shop for. Boris, the owner, helped me pick out some unique star wars and avengers toys and collectibles. He gave me a fair price and great service. The shop also had a huge selection of musical instruments and really unique items you dont see every where. If youre looking for a shop unlike most, you have to check them out, I would highly recommend!

I went to Art Carls in need of a repair of a cherished family heirloom - a gold chain handed down from my grandmother that had not left my neck for over 20 years until the day it was broken. Needless to say, I was concerned that the repair would be done right and would ensure that I could continue wearing the chain for the next 20 years and far beyond. Boris -- the nice guy working the counter who informed me that this was family business he runs with his dad -- assured me that the chain would be repaired and that if any issues arose either during said repairs or regarding my concern with continued use of the chain after the repair he would let me know. Well.....I got the chain back just the other day and its stronger and shinier than ever! And all my questions and concerns were answered to my satisfaction. I strongly recommend this shop and will be back for jewelry repairs or for other needs (apparently theyre a full retail store AND pawn shop!) in the future. Thanks Boris (and dad)!

Went in there to purchase a guitar that I’ve been eyeing for a while. I was playing it and the man who runs it walked over and took it out of my hands saying, “this is too expensive, you shouldn’t have touched this.” Little does he know, I’m a professional guitarist (many like me know that you can find a gem in pawnshops) and that I’ve been playing for 20 years. They lost a $1400 sale, and my business forever. Do not go there.
