There arent too many hair beauty supply stores for black hair outside of Boston so its nice Franklins exist. Ive been going here since I was a teenager. The owner is amazing. He knows more about weaves and braiding hair than most women which is quite impressive. Some braiding hair stores will let you peruse for minutes until you settle on something. The owner will proactively ask me if I need help, even when Im not sure. He will figure out what I need so I can be in and out. I always get the help and hair that I need. Thank you!

If I could provide negative stars for the customer service alone, i would! The slim tall man there has a major attitude problem and needs to retire if he is tired of his job. I simply asked if they had any more colors because I didnt see any and sometimes places have hair in the back they havent stocked yet. So I told my mom lets see if another store has the color but well get the hair we have in our hands. I guess the store worker heard me and said why you always in here complaining, the colors that are on the wall are whats here and thats thatPeople reading this, I am not from MA nor do I live here, Im visiting my mom after like 1.5 yrs, so how can this man say hes seen me in here with my mom many times complaining. Smh. I will never buy hair from any place in MA again. I shall ship my mom hair from ny/nj every so often so she doesnt spend money there either. Go there as a last resort imo.

Ok heres the deal I wanted gel for my husband (pro style) in a big container but of course they were out, then I bought a scarf he charges me full price for a scarf that was a display and supposed to be in a package of 3 I believe and laughed about it no discount on it . Now my Mama needed some conditioners small packages they were out of that at least she found her hat (hair extensions) .Well thats all I got to say about that at least he was not hovering around us and was nice . Franklins has been my go to store for as long as I can remember . The prices are perfect, and I always find what I need. The manager is also the nicest person. Hes always ready to help out & not once have I had a negative encounter with him. Will definitely keep going back !

Best place to get your African and beauty products

My experience with them wasnt as great as the other reviews, which shock me. They werent helpful and were not friendly. They do however have a great selection of hair wigs and products but they will never get my business.

I went to do cornrows to have under my wigs. I asked the lady to use extensions and do decent cornrows. The first time she did it well. Second time I went and asked her to do the same thing. Since she does her work with the clients facing away from the mirror she didnt put any extensions. She was was tagging at my real hair only, the whole time. Just found out today as I was doing the cornrows. My hair is all damaged!

Rude people! That guy at the cashier deserves less than 1 star. I will never go back there!

I was in the store yesterday, 2/26/2018 around 5:30pm as I needed hair items so that I can get my hair done for the middle of the week. I was amazed by the selection of hair wigs and supplies in the store and started browsing wigs. A young lady who worked there, came over and not so pleasantly told me the store was closing in 10 minutes. What was interesting was that I did not hear her tell other guests in the store that the store was closing...I quickly went over to look at the selection of braiding hair to find the one my stylist told me to purchase but I couldnt find it. I politely asked the young woman who worked there if the store carried a particular kind of braiding hair. I then showed her a photo from my phone of the hair brand that I needed recommended by my stylist. Again, in an unpleasant manner, she told me over there in the back and walked off in a different direction. She did not seem interested in helping me.After searching for the feather tip braiding hair that I needed in 1B, I couldnt find the brand. Therefore, I went back to the same woman who was not occupied with any customers as the other employees (an older woman and the man at the register) seemed to be busy helping with customers and asked her where the hair was that I had originally showed her. Without saying anything, she turned around and started walking. So I followed her to the back and I began to look again. When I found it, It wasnt the color I wanted. I asked her if the store was planning on getting any more hair soon. She threw up her hands in a rude manner by and said, I dont know. Startled by her actions, I then asked, Would the man at the register know? As I would prefer to ask him instead She then said, Go ask him in a rude tone. It was at that point I got fed up and told her that she is being extremely rude. I never met this woman a day and my life and had trouble understanding why she was so unpleasant to me. I was frustrated that she was acting in like this. The woman raised her voice and began to claim she was helping me. But when I was asking her questions as to feather tip hair, she was looking elsewhere and she wasnt making any eye contact as if I was bothering her. I told her that she has has a poor attitude and walked away from her.As I was approaching the register where the gentleman was, she muttered something under her breath. At this point, I was fed up with her and asked her what she said. She muttered something again to which I couldnt hear her at all. I gave her a piece of my mind as I felt she was completely disrespectful. While doing so, she was shouting at me. I reported the incident to the man at the register. He tried to diffuse the situation by telling the employee to stop yelling at me but she was still doing so. I told him that she doesnt need to be working there because she was very discourteous and unpleasant.Although I appreciate the mans efforts on attempting to diffuse the situation, the woman was truly displaying her ignorance. It is evident she lacks home training and manners. He apologize to me for her behavior and proceeded to help me and offered to order the hair that I needed. However, the hair would not arrive in time before I go to my scheduled appointment which was tomorrow,2/28/2018 . I thanked him for his help.It frustrated me because I truly wanted to support the people who own this beauty supply business However, incidents like the lack of professionalism and rude behavior displayed by the young woman with the bad hair red hair weave and filthy ugg boots was an embarassment for Franklin International Beauty Store. If this woman hates her job to a point she has to be rude, unwelcoming to strangers like me while shopping at her place of employment, then she should not be working there. It is also upsetting because the store is close by my house and now have to travel elsewhere for my hair care needs which is a big inconvenience for me.Until that rude lady is fired from there, I will not shop there ever again!

Very good customer service every time I go in and but my products. I always seem to find what I need since its a small storevans products tend to go fast. Its T and bus accessible, not a long walk from the Malden Station about a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on the person travelling there. I reccomend people to go here to but their hair products because its really worth the trip.

Omg this is amazing Im legit in my car writing this review. The young man at the counter was super professional and welcoming. Im so happy I dont have to drive in traffic to go to a beauty supply store and they have the lotion that I looooovvvveeeeeee!!!!! They have everything you need from wigs to weave, beauty products, 360 units, lace fronts, braiding hair to music and they actually do hair there, Do you understand how convenient they are! I think im not sure but I believe its black own and thats a added bonus I will support. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!
