Very convenient. We get almost all items we need from an Indian store. Just sometimes they keep expired items so do check the expiry date of the items you buy (same goes for any indian store in US).

Good store, run by a good family. Has several items that are hard to find elsewhere. I prefer to support local businesses.

Good store, parking is often a hard part aroumd here but thats not stores fault ofcourse.

This is my favorite Indian store in Malden. Its small, but organized extremely well so I never have a hard time finding what I need. The owners are so kind, and it really makes a difference. Even though its more out of the way, I always do my Indian grocery shopping here.

Bought some over priced freezer burnt food product from Balaji because it looked like it would be yummy and I wanted to find an Indian market in my neighborhood (I go to Somerville for Indian groceries). Ill be trying the others here in Malden but for now, Im still loyal to my usual store.

I love this shop. The cashier is always helpful and friendly. The spices are always fresh.

Watch out - they will try to cheat you. Make sure they charge what the price tag says, because they enjoy jacking up the price on unsuspecting customers. My wife and I caught them doing it to us (my wife even caught them talking about it in Hindi, as she speaks the language). Be careful.

I come here once a month for sure. A shop for true connoisseurs. I come for spices, I really like them.

Worst ghee ever stored...don’t buy anything in this store...always over priced...keep expired products...not sure how he passes the food inspection...ghee was stinkying...jaggery had fungusPart2:Owner responded n asked us to come back to help us out. We shopped at this store for the first (and hopefully last!) time yesterday. The motichoor laddoo which we purchased was stale and rotten. My wife felt sick after having a bite of the laddoo. The ghee which we purchased from here was probably expired and didnt smell of ghee. Everything is overpriced here. When we confronted the shop owner about the rotten sweets and ghee, he made lots of excuses and said the ghee and laddoo are perfectly fine. We just left both the items at the counter and went away.The sweets at this store can be a possible health hazard.

Careful with older man he will charge you for item you purchased then steal the item from. Your bag at home you will think you didnt get it but the truth is he steal grocery,we have so many people experience the same try to forget your item at his counter then later call him and see what happened very crock people be careful.

I live in Malden and I come here often. I have a lot of friends from India and they always tell me this place is very affordable compared to Stores in Boston.The owners are very helpful when I have a question or if I dont know what something is.

You may not find all veggies here but rest of the stuff has wide variety and they are way more affordable than other indian store.Plus uncle who sell these stuff is honest and really nice person.

Very good and neat. They are new as of this day but they keep upgrading and increasing the merchandise every week to make the customers happy.I strongly recommend.

Check the expiry date on the product before buying. The atta I bought is expired but they covered the date with extra sticker. Uragdal has worms. Oil quantity significantly differs from one bottle to other not sure if they fill it manually or if its due to leakage . Make sure to get the detailed bill instead of summary as it wont match with the price tag that we see on the product. I wouldnt suggest shopping from this store.

Excellent place to get all the Indian or Indian subcontinental groceries here. All the vegetables, spices, frozen items, items you need for prayers, typical Indian utensils, even Pani Puri (Gol gappe). If you are missing the Maggie too much, you can get it here! If you missing Sweets, Jalebi. Even you can get all Patanjali products. Good collection of Haldiram, MTR like Dhokla, Masala Idli, Paneer, Samosas etc.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are unethical. In my first experience they charged me twice the total bill amount. I had to take my bank statement to make them acknowledge their mistake. I did not mind this too much and went shopping the 2nd time. This time it was a pack of green chilli peppers that the shopkeeper replaced with an older bag in spite of my telling him twice which one I wanted. He weighed the one I insisted for but put the other one in my bag. I only saw this after coming back home. Another observation was a pack of maya rice with black worms kept in the shop for selling. I would definitely not go back again.

Balaji Indian groceries is a tad better than India Bazar Malden. Prices are not as competitive as Patel brothers in Waltham. I havent seen mice droppings or mice bitten packages here like I did at India bazar down the street. The produce is good, but sometimes you can find old batch of vegetables, so have to be careful. Lot of items dont have manufactured date or best by date. Some times you will find expired items too. You will be taken for a ride if you are not a smart shopper.Updated - FRAUD ALERT. Shady Billing Practice. Especially when you charge your credit card. They will pad the final bill by at least $5 by ringing the same items multiple times. Happened to me more than a couple times. Make your own total before you head to the cashier. Else you will be ripped off! Beware!!!!If I could I would leave zero star.

Nothing extravagant. Just a regular Indian grocery store with few western things. They dont have mehendi if youre looking for that.

Very bad experience with this store . I never checked the receipt to match the product price while buying some goods from this store .one day I just checked the receipt with product price, I got shocked how he use to cheated to customer .he entered the unwanted price and multiplying the items with prices . I got $7 difference in total bill of $30 .Next day, I went to store and talked to him about price difference, but he refuse to re-totaling .
