Burkhardt is great! My A/C capacitor went out. Within hours Burkhardt sent someone out. Bailey was the assigned technician who we’ve previously worked with. He never disappoints. He quickly accessed, addressed, and explained the issue. We went over a couple other concerns and Bailey took the time to further explain the issues and recommendations. Great company, highly recommend!

Burkhardt redesigned and installed new duct work for our A/C - Heating system. They installed extra vents in our up stairs bedrooms. They installed proper ventilation for exhaust fans in the bathrooms. All the improvements are just amazing! Our A/C system has never worked so well!! Of course we lost AC on the hottest Sunday. On Monday morning my AC folks would not answer and one that was recommended by neighbors could not fit me in until Thursday. Despite the shared surname, I have no relation with this company, familial or otherwise.Ive had experience with about three or four area HVAC service providers, and this has probably been my best experience overall so far, although its difficult to compare because my service needs have varied. That being said, they were responsive and timely, they did good quality work, and they undersold and overdelivered. We needed a coil replaced and we scheduled for the next availability, which was two days. However, they followed shortly after to let us know they would be able to do the work the following day if we were available. I also appreciated that they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Ive been surprised in the past that this isnt always a given. I cant comment on the cost/value, it wasnt cheap, but we found their quote reasonable and the work was top-notch from what I can tell. I also appreciate that they also followed up the following day to ensure everything was well taken care of. Thank you, Burkhardt, for rescuing us from our hot, sweaty torment.

Sean was very professional!He introduced himself to my husband, asked what problems he was having with the Mitsubishi unit, then proceeded to inspect the unit. He explained what he found to be broken and what needed to be ordered and added freeon to the unit to keep it going till new part arrived. Our AC broke at the office and we called Burkhardt, with whom we chose to do a service contract with, to get our issue fixed so we could get back into the office. Burkhardt’s office staff was incredibly polite and professional and kept up updated all day as to whether they could get a tech to us that day. They were able to get a tech out and he came after business hours to fix the issue so we could be back in the office the next morning rather than wait till the next day to come fix the issue. The tech was very well informed, polite, professional and quick. Our issue was resolved within 30 mins and the technician gave us some advice on some preventative maintenance that needed to be done soon. I have been a Burkhardt customer for a very long time, and I have watched them grow so big, but not big enough to treat every customer as an individual. Whether it is our regular maintenance or an emergency, they treat us with kit gloves. They are very professional, respectful, and very knowledgeable. Last week we had an issue with our ac, as it was not blowing out cool air. It happened to be on a day of severe storms, and I even called to tell them not to come. They wouldnt have it. At approximately 1AM the day after Tropical Storm Cristobal hit the Louisiana coastline, we lost power. My newly just installed 22KW propane fueled Generac Generator ran a total of 9-hrs. Burkhardt’s Air Conditioning are very professional, from the initial site survey performed by Chris to the actual installation of the Generac Generator by Jason and his crew. As my subdivision does not have natural gas lines, Burkhardt’s Air Conditioning even coordinated with a local Propane company to arrange the date/delivery of a 500 gallon propane tank. I can’t thank Burkhardt’s enough for their professionalism in the way the job was done from start to finish.

Cannot say enough great things about using Burkhardt for all our HVAC needs! We first hired them to do home inspections, and they found a serious issue on a newly renovated house we planned to purchase. When we bought our house, we signed up for their annual service and have been very happy for over 3 years. But where they really shined was when our AC went out on a Saturday, in August, in New Orleans. We called to request service, and within 15 minutes a tech called to say he was on his way. Super courteous and knowledgeable (as always) and gave us great tips to help us limp along until the part we needed to fully repair could be ordered on Monday. Highly recommend this company!

This is the company you want to deal with ! From the first time talking on the phone to the final checklist post installation this team was 5 star, on point, best you could ask for. I had many questions about the available units for my application along with specifications, I was guided with options that suited my needs without having to spend too much money. Took the money. Didnt do the job. Didnt refund the money and now asks me for a review.To add. You told me it would take 4-6 weeks to get the part and repair. It was July 2. I called the company that services our condo and was told they would repair it in three days. They did. Running a business in July without A/C would have been unpleasant .BTW., the small deposit you referred to was about the cost of the repair. The cancellation was within two days of the order. Over the course of our relationship, I paid you $9114.90. This was no way to treat a loyal customerChecked my records and accounting. Total cost of repair from second company was $650 vs your quote of $2800. And $600 for restocking and return costs? Not calling you a liar but I think your pants are on fire.

We were thrilled with our recent service from Burkhardt. We called late in the morning and had a tech at our home by 1 PM. He stayed much longer than hed planned (Im sure) trying to diagnose a problem, fully servicing our unit, and installing an attic tent. We asked about options to reduce our bill, and, although they could have sold us something much more expensive, we were recommended to go with the attic tent. Im certain that when we get our next bill it will be significantly reduced. Burkhardt is timely, cleanly, and does right by their customers. Highly recommend!!

This company charged an extra $68.00 fee for coming out on a Saturday. They failed to mention this when we scheduled the appointment. The technician added 3 lbs. of freon and the total bill was $450.00. I believe this is extremely expensive compared to other companies. I would not recommend this company!

I live in Mandeville La. and my Trane AC unit failed over the weekend. I called Burkhardt ACs service as a new client. My neighbor referred me to them. I called after hours and expected to possibly receive a call back the next day. When I called, I was greeted with a live person. I knew it was a messaging service however, they were professional and it was a live person who took my information and promised a service tech would contact me shortly. I quickly received a call from the On-Call service tech who scheduled my appointment for the next morning. The next day early (7:30am), first thing, I was called by Alex the service tech who was on his way to our home. My broken unit was fixed, and my 2 other units were PM checked during this service call. Alex was very professional, knew his trade and respected my time as a client. He thoroughly explained what he found, what all the levels of refrigerant meant and didnt try to sell, sell, sell me anything. I highly recommend this company and will keep them as our AC contractor for future needs.PS. The service truck was clean, well logoed and stocked. Alex had a clean uniform, with his name on the chest pocket plus had a well designed business card which he was proud to hand out. He also kindly used boot covers to protect our flooring which was a nice touch. You could tell he loved what he did and that he had to have the support of a good ownership!

My family and I was referred to Burkhardt a Mitsubishi Preferred Diamond Contractor® by Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division N.A. We have installed a Mitsubishi Mr.Slim,18 SEER Heat Pump System MUZ-HM18NA2. The unit was originally installed by another Mitsubishi Preferred Diamond Contractor® that is no longer a Mitsubishi Contractor. The unit is only going on 4 years old these units have a 12yr warranty on them so long as you use a Mitsubishi Preferred Diamond Contractor®Senior Technician Sean called about 1/2 hr before the appointment and said he was on his way. He got here on time which is nice.I showed him Mr.Slim He asked if its been cooling and asked what side the water was pouring out of. I said yes the unit was cooling until the water over flowed from the left side and I told him about two previous coil changes and said thenewcoil is already looking really corroded.He set down his tools went to get a ladder.He took the plastic shroud off which is just held on by two small screws.Pops this off looks in the catch drain. Says the units not installed right.Goes outside pulls off a PVC hide away cover says the drain hose is fighting gravity that it is was not installed right.That for him to clean the line would be at least 168.00+158.00 Diagnoses.So what do I have to do to get this working 100%?I brought up my concern about the the mass corrosion on the radiator.He said they go bad all the time thats normal;Its a bad install the with the drain line I see this a lot.He tells me he would have to take down the whole unit and reinstall.He said give him 20 mins or so.10 min Diagnose look and see never turned on the unit.He put back on the covers took his bag and ladder.He came back with a Invoice 158.00 for today.1382.61 for reinstall the wall mount unit which maybe more depends on how much coolant we recover,we never get 100% I asked about the 1382.61 Quote what does this include a full cleaning of Mr. Slim?Well no he looked kind of puzzled .Like 1382.61 is pennies to them.This is just take it down cut the hole bigger for the drain pipe to fit on the bottom and then re level and mount the unit back up.He told me they would wash the plastic turbine sense its getting taken down.I asked about coils or if anything else was wrong with the unit he said that it would be extra charges for everything and this is only for the take down mount back up the used inside unit.For $158.00 I got a look and see.Drain line issues... REALLY? A Drain line issue that is why I had 100+ gallons of water flood my garage...Only solution from them complete reinstall on an old unit.Mr.Slim that has a 12yr Warranty! I called for warranty service wheres the diagnoses?Why would you try charge me to death fixing a clunker instead of calling, Mitsubishi claiming the warranty and tell them that this Mr Slim was never installed properly by NO LONGER A Preferred Diamond Contractor Benfatti Air Conditioning & Heating.I been doing all the maintenance cleaning service on the unit.
