My experience at Safelite auto glass was nothing short of excellent! Everything from the customer service counter and my service tech Mason my entire experience was excellent. As you can see from the photos even though they said I’d still be able to see a little of the crack after the repair it looks amazing. Buyer beware; I attempted to utilize the online process for making an appointment and setting up mobile service. The procedure was fairly straightforward. Once I had set up the appointment, I received an email stating that I would be responsible for $500.00. I called to inquire about the cost. I asked Why would I would need to pay 500 dollars for a 250 dollar windshield. The Safelite response was Due to the fact that you entered your insurance information when you established your appointment, We are charging you the contracted insurance price. Safelite then tried to give me a cash price that was significantly less, however I chose to cancel my appointment. I will spend my money with a company that has more transparent and ethical practices.
Great prices for windshields. I dropped mine off a little after 9:30 am and was able to get it back at 2 pm. Drop off pickups are by the schedule time and may take a short time get it back. Worth the wait. Everything replaced back on windshield and always the most friendly service.
Side window replaced in less than 30 minutes. Love this place.

Jason at the Mandeville location was extremely helpful, courteous and most of all honest. We dropped my wife’s car off to have the passenger window fixed because it was not rolling down. About an hour after we dropped it off Jason called and said he was getting power to the motor so that wasn’t the reason the window wouldn’t roll down and concluded that the switch was most likely the issue. He then said that since they didn’t fix it there wouldn’t be a charge and that the car was ready to be picked up.About 5 minutes later Jason called back and said that he test drove the car and that the window was now working. He also reiterated that there was no charge.Thanks Jason! We’ll definitely be back next time we have an issue with one of our vehicle windows.
I scheduled an appointment to have a rock chip fixed at my home. When my plans changed a last minute, they told me to drive right over. After i arrived it took about 30 minutes. Great customer service !!

As it turns out, there is a windshield specific for my car model where the rear view mirror is mounted on the glass. While that windshield is available, Safelite made no regard for this and replaced it with a windshield that did not respect my cars options and trim level. They then reattached my rear view mirror in an approximate spot and my plastic trim moldings didnt fit right. This showed me they didnt have much regard for being professional enough to maintain the factory original look.
Mandeville, La. 11/04/19My experience was far less than positive. While the confirming appointment e-mail says drop off auto at 7:30 AM, I find that hours of business posted on the door on arrival are 8:00 to 5:00 PM. No lights on in the lobby and no one inside. I return at 7:55 AM to see a line of people checking in. No problem, I have an appointment confirmation and have prepared to wait. Once I get to the counter, Manager Pascal informs me that all morning appointments are booked and that Ill be waiting all day. He suggests that I should probably rebook for another day. We have some back and forth discussions and Pascal becomes increasingly condescending, suggesting that I just didnt pay attention to my appointment details, despite 2 confirming texts the prior day. After numerous agreements on my part to proceed and that Id just wait until they could work me in, Pascal again said Id be waiting for hours. I said, youve said that at least 4 times, so can we just get started. Pascals response was No, actually Ive said it 5 times. There are other vendors in the area so after think of my treatment for a few minutes, I decided to cancel the appointment in favor of having my windshield replaced by a local company who understands the value of my business.Bonus, their installed price was more than $80.00 less expensive for the same glass and they dont charge a $10.00 glass disposal fee. What a win / win for me and the local supplier. No Thanks Safelite!
Difficult to reach by phone.
The two workers at the desk in the lobby were not wearing masks, even though all customers were. I asked if they could put masks on, and they said they didn’t have any. Seriously? During a pandemic? Even the employee in the back was wearing a mask, and he wasn’t even close to any customers. Decided to take my business elsewhere. These people don’t care about the health of their customers or slowing the spread of COVID-19.
End result was excellent
Prompt and efficient service at a reasonable price. Two moderate cracks filled in and I can hardly notice them anymore.
Shelton was my tech. He was efficient, timely, and most of all he was very helpful. He was there to repair a crack in my windshield. He noticed I still had my dealer inventory sticker and offered to remove it. To this I say YES! I then asked him if he could remove the unsightly adhesive left from the temp tag. He kindly did so. Thanks so much Shelton! Should I need service again, I will absolutely request Shelton.

Way over priced!I was checking around for prices on my 2014 F150 and that is more the DOUBLE the price of A1 Glass!Online I was quoted $459.99!I called A1 Glass and spoke with a very nice young lady on the phone, that was extremely helpful and I was quoted $220!Any and ALL of my glass business will be going to A1 Glass and if you are reading this then yours should too!

There is no secure drop off box for keys. This probably works fine if youre on welfare and dont have a job. For the rest of us, its darn inconvenient. And if you try to call them, you will be directed to the New Mexico call center, and put on hold for an eternity. Unfortunately my insurance only works with Safelite. If I had a choice, Id go somewhere else.
Great claim and replacement service!
Technician Kohl was on time, polite, efficient, and had a great attitude. He replaced a windshield and passenger front side glass. Even when there was in issue with the side glass (defect in the glass) that was out of his control, he professionally explained the issue, installed the defect glass (this way Id have a temporary window), and scheduled the warranty replacement on the spot. Kohl was apologetic and handled the issue like a pro. Hes got a great spirit and serves as a great ambassador for Safelight. Keep it up, Kohl!

Even though Safelite clearly states that chip may not be completely invisible, I have noticed others who have had recent repairs and none have been even remotely improved by looks. I had a small four point star which looks exactly the same as BEFORE it was repaired. I have used other repair people in the past and had have had better results.
Jason went above and beyond he call of the duty to meet my needs and work around my schedule. I was very impressed by the personal service I received.

Mobile appointment for a windshield replacement seemed fine at first. Ryan did a good job on the windshield. The next day I realized the top of my leather steering wheel had been scraped badly in one spot. My guess is that this happened accidentally while the technician was cranking some sort of tool inside the car. I am not removing a star for this because Pascal and Courtney rectified this for me wonderfully. They handed me over to Honda of Covington and covered the cost of a whole new steering wheel. Wow, I was just hoping for a leather repair, so this was beyond my expectations.

Technician came out to replace a windshield, vehicle had an after market rear view mirror. They will not replace the windshield even after my request to have them just replace the windshield and not the mirror. Had to call the 800 number 4 times before I got the response that they will not repair. A couple hours wasted. If you have an after market mirror, save yourself the time and call a competitor.Ended up going with Gerber Collision. Made appointment windshield was replaced the next day. The were ever $25 cheaper then Safe light. I Highly recommend them.
Called for a chip in my windshield. Repair was made that didn’t improve it....AT ALL! New service technician came out to look at it and agreed it was a terrible attempt at a repair. Now, chip cannot be repaired correctly and I need to replace the entire glass! At my expense. Manager (Courtney) offered me a $50 discount on a $550 windshield. No thanks. Called another repair place and they are replacing windshield for a cheaper price then Safelite’s “discounted” price. Call any other glass place for your repair.
Safelite repair my window and my window is repaired now theres something there and I done dont see it but when you see a window thats clear enough for your pet bird to smash their brains in and you love it thats when you know you love Safelite

The price was 50% more than local small shops. And the time frame for repair was a 5 hour block of time i would have to stay put. I ended up using a glass shop off of pinnacle Pkwy and paid half the price and they came out within the hour . Shop small and local!!!!

Brought a vehicle in with a chip the size of a dime and walked out with a 12 crack. No apologies made, just saidI guess you are buying a new windshield. He then quoted that the replacement would cost $1200, however the website quoted only $400. No thanks, Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Just had a crack fixed on my 2015 Subaru WRX at the safelite location in Mandeville, LA. I was very hesitant about getting this done because all of the reviews i read on the internet. Jason was the technician that preformed the work on my car. The crack was dead center on the windshield about the length of a penny. When i spoke with Jason, he told me that there was a small chance that the crack could spread. I understood, i mean it was either going to spread while driving or during this fix. The repair took 30min and came out great. The crack never got bigger and looks like a small clear hair now and you really cant notice it. The service provided was excellent and i would definitely go back god forbid this happens again.
