This old bank has been given new life with the set up of this old fashioned soda and candy shop. The drinks are made right in front of you. The candy is sold by the pound. Fresh made fudge. The whole experience was delightful.

Beautiful interior brimming with color and exotic pearls of sugary treats. Staff is very VERY attentive (almost too much so - I wonder if this is a byproduct of too many people sneaking free samples, or if they are high on sugar themselves). Folks in here did not seem to understand the concept of mask wearing or social distancing. Prices seem high but it is worth it for your favorite sweets

My kids had a blast. The store is super cute and had a ton of different options! The staff was very welcoming and explained everything for us since it was our first time. The praline fudge was delicious. and not over priced. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

The Candy Bank is awesome! I found this place by accident and glad I did. They have so many different kinds of candy, some I havent seen since I was a kid. The fudge is great and the milkshakes are really good too! The staff was very helpful and nice.

Fantastic establishment right off of the St. Tammany Trailhead in Mandeville. This place is a walk back in time GEM! As soon as you walk in you are approached by a very nice staff member who gives you a detailed history on the establishment and a walk through, showing you all of the wonderful candies, Homemade Fudge, malts, shakes and original soda fountain ice cream and soda with whipped cream dream experience drink. There is chocolates of all kinds as well as old fashioned soda pop in the bottle. Lisa, the owner has a wonderful staff that enjoy what they do and makes sure that your experience in their “Bank” leaves you feeling great about returning as soon as possible to try everything they offer and to fulfill that sweet tooth craving!

They get 2 stars because the staff is so friendly. But dont expect much from this place. Its basically just the bulk candy store from the mall, except with the gimmick of being in an old bank. Ultimately, this leads to it being over crowded if more than one group is in the candy side or ice cream side. There is not enough space for what they are trying to do. For example, I wanted the ice cream served on a piece of the fudge. To accomplish this off the menu, I had to get a paper bowl from one side, cut through the line on the other side, and interrupt the girl doing orders and giving people the information on how the store works to get the fudge to bring back to the other employee.

Such a fun walk down memory lane. Mrs. Lisa, the owner, is so pleasant and friendly. Shes engaging and very helpful.Plenty of candy choices. What a fun, whimsical place.

This place is great. Every kind of candy you could think of. Old fashion candies you may remember from your childhood. Hand made treats as well. A nice sitting area to enjoy ice cream cones. The staff could not have been more helpful. And the owner personally makes the confections. Wonderful hidden gem.

Awesome place. Had a scrumptious strawberry shake and brown sugar vanilla latte. Of course, we bought a great selection of hard candies and chocolates. The building is beautiful and historic and very nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

I’m partial to The Candy Bank on SOCO in Austin so I was not expecting much when my kids wanted to go.Wow.....I was surprised. My first test was to see if they had my favorite candy....Chuckles. They did. Second and final test was to see if it was easy to get my kids to leave.....it was not easy.My kids loved it and the staff was very helpful.Great place!!!

This place has a huge selection of candy.

Store was very cool, but beware the employees there watch you like a hawk to the point that you will feel uncomfortable. One of the employees in particular went as far as scolding our child when he would get close to any candy. Idk what they expect from kids in a candy store. If you enjoy having other adults scold your kids and being watched like your a criminal then look no further !

This will definitely be a place that we revisit. My husband and I got drinks (Nitro float and nectar float) which were both super tasty. My child got an ice cream cone, which she loved. I want to go back so I can buy some fudge. I really appreciated the instructions that were clearly posted on their door. Overall definitely a good visit.

Very cool place for all ages.They do want you to be respectful of the fact that most of their candy is kept in glass jars.They explain this nicely to everyone who walks in. Their is so many things to choose from. It’s best if you get a little of each candy from the glass jars and make a baggie.They have ice cream, fudge, soda pops.This would also be a great place to celebrate good grades or a special occasion.It’s nice to have a little shop like this around.

I think the candy bank is a great business, and it offers a wonderful candy experience! But today I experienced an uncomfortable situation, which pushed me to leave a review (not something I usually do).When entering the bank, we (my boyfriend, 5 year old nephew, and myself) were greeted by the male employee. I have seen him working there for the past few years, and I have never had an issue with him until today. Very quickly into our arrival, this male employee was almost following us around the store. My boyfriend and I couldn’t tell if he was 1)watching to make sure we weren’t thieves or 2)being too into his customer service.After being hawked around the store by this employee for a few minutes, my nephew was asking my boyfriend and I questions about specific candies. The male employee kept interjecting himself to answer my nephew’s questions before my boyfriend or I could answer him. At this point, my boyfriend and I both felt extremely uncomfortable about his constant interjecting and hovering that it pushed me to reposition myself between my nephew and him. I did this with hopes of him leaving us alone.The level of “get out of my face” we felt made us just ready to get OUT of the store.After leaving the store, we discussed we both had wanted to buy another $20 worth of treats before leaving, but the employee’s behavior chased us away. We actually could not wait to get ourselves and my nephew away.Again, I usually don’t complain to businesses when I’m unsatisfied, because I get sometimes things just don’t go as planned, but today was a boundary crosser for me. I’m hoping the owner of the business will see this message. See this message and tell the male employee to step off of his customers.I am not saying this young male employee had foul or perverse intentions, especially in today’s climate, but the level of discomfort we felt through his actions was not okay from a consumer’s nor a parent’s POV.

As always the staff has impeccable manners and are very helpful.

Yall. They were supposed to close @ 6pm and we called ahead because we werent going to make it in time with our birthday girl. They joyfully stayed late to make her day and were sweet and patient and we couldnt have been more appreciative. Great people work there!

This place is adorable and kind of quaint. The homemade fudge is delicious. The candy by the pound is your general, run of the mill stuff, nothing that you cant find anywhere else. They have a small selection of Bluebell ice cream and a few pricey ice cream drinks. Little kids will love it, as long as they follow the rules that the staff recite as soon as you walk in.

Amazing place

Im giving a lower rating because after a 45 min ride they were closed on Mondays. Unfortunately we just went my the brochure. Which had no hours of operations, after thought we should have checked their face book page. But it is in a nice area. The actual place reminded me of an old fashion ice parlor. Looked to be a nice quaint little candy shop. Wish it was open would of been 5 stars. Really didnt see anything else in the area.

I have been wanting to visit The Candy Bank for some time, we finally went and loved it! They have a very large selection of candies and we each found something we had gone in wanting to find. Great customer service as well! We didnt get a chance to have ice cream, but definitely will be returning next time we are on the Northshore!

The man that was at the counter was so nice and sweet as we were paying, the woman at the front welcomed us in and told us the rules of the glass jars. All of the chocolates they make are really good and so are all of the candys. I loved going there with my mom and sister for mothers day!

So much candy to choose from. It was fun to see candy from my younger years as well as new candy is never tried. It adds up quickly so be careful! Its a fun and yummy place to visit.

This adorable little shop has an extremely friendly, peppy staff. The butter ale was super tasty and the interesting varieties of homemade fudge (sweet potato? Whaaaat?) definitely make this a place worth visiting. Just make sure you place the candy jar lids in the baskets when youre getting candy.

It was pretty sick. I made a farm consisting of sharks, alligators, pigs, coke bottles, and a single dinosaur. And yes its about to be my birthday, and I dont even care. Overall good experience besides the fact I was being watched the entire time of making my farm.

My boyfriend and I paid a visit to the candy bank and were brought back to our childhood. The candy selection was amazing, I loved that there were seasonal candies. The nitro soda was simply yummy. The selection of old fashion sodas was impressive. We will definitely be back and we will be trying floats next time.

Definitely overpriced. The ice cream is good but when it comes to the candy, I hang onto my wallet. Be careful when traversing the ice cream counter. They have some kind of low wooden furniture alongside it and I banged up my knee on it pretty badly because I didnt see it(was looking at the ice cream). Had a bruise for a week.

First time to this place. It has a very large selection of any type of candy you can think of. The homemade fudge is great. Also have ice cream, great taffy, and nitro coffee.

The fresh candies in jars and chocolates here are really great. They also have a nice selection of specialty sodas and ice cream. Prices are kind of high but fair for the level of quality and selection available. Just a side not dont mix your chocolate and sour stuff in the bags for weigh in the ch oclate is much more expensive by weight. The down side for me was I took my family in and spent over $100 on candy drinks and such. I bought a bag of the super long twizzlers which are factory sealed. They tasted super funny and the bag had dust on it. They were not expired. I contacted them to see about replacing them or what options I had and they just said they dont do returns. This is bad business to me as I wouldve definitely swapped them for something but also wouldve bought more and would be inclined to bring my wife and kids back. basically if you are buying non store candy/chocolate/drinks your experience is likely to.be excellent but if you but anything prepackaged be wary those twizzlers were like $11 which is already a lot so not being able to swap them when they were bad is no good. Check out those sour strip things they are super flavorful.
