Just a gut feeling I probably would not do business with this dealership again. Corresponded with online agent about car offering $12,500 for a Tiguan with 40,000 that was listed online for about $13,899. They recommended I come in to best negotiate. In a week by the time I was able to get there on Saturday with my schedule to drive 30 minutes in traffic, found out they raised the website price to mid $15,000. We arrived to find out the vehicle had a flat and the sunshade for the sunroof was sagging very bad that a friend said to beware is a $1,700 repair with the dealership. The sales person Matt was polite, but never once was introduced or saw the manager who Matt had to keep going talk with, so just dont trust doing business with this dealership again. I told Matt the Blue Book for the vehicle was $11,500. He did the Blue Book value in front of us and came up with roughly the exactly same value. He goes to see the manager who dreams up a JD Power estimate of $14,000. I guess they want the vehicle more than I do. Do your homework before going to see them for Blue Book value. And highly recommend you inspect the vehicles they sell carefully as they dont tell you when things are not in proper working condition, so you need to find it on your own.

No haggling, no surprises, and top-notch customer service (after I had shopped around for weeks) resulted in my purchase. Within 24 hours, my son had his first car without a single moment of dread. Not what I was expecting, Adam Zeringue delivered the car to us in New Orleans so we could keep it a surprise. What a nightmare! My daughter and her husband purchased a certified preowned Passat with about 35000 miles and about 2 months later it wouldn’t start. It was towed to VW of Lafayette who has no rental service in place. VW in Lafayette LA has had her broken car for over 2 weeks while managers and customer care reps go back and forth deciding whether the main fuses (which is supposedly what was wrong) are covered under warranty. We have been told so many different things from different people- one being that since the battery was installed wrong it’s not covered- we don’t know how they came to the battery conclusion. Next guy who calls said the fuses are fixed but now the $1100 alternator is broken and not covered under warranty.After so much frustration my daughter called the salesman of the “lemon” at VW of Mandeville desperate for help. He couldn’t believe she was going through this and said she shouldn’t be paying a dime for the repairs since it’s a certified vehicle. He assured her he would get on the phone with his gen manager. 3 days later he has not called her back and has ignored her texts. Worst customer service ever experienced! I’m so thankful I decided not to also buy a Volkswagen!

I’m really confused. I’ve been trying to buy a car from this dealership for 2 days! Yesterday I came at 6pm because the hours listed on the building says they close 7pm. When I went in the sales guy said they closed at 6 and I had to leave. Confused but said okay that’s fine.Came back at 8:30am the next morning because online it says they open at 8am. NOBODY IS HERE! I’ve been here for 15 minutes. Nothing. I can’t even review the freaking car because I haven’t been able to see anything.Going to try one more time mid day and hopefully someone will be there if not I’m going to drive to a different one because this is just getting old.

Final straw with this lousy business establishment (service dept.)…..Was a long-time service dept. patron since 2014, but this dealership has lost my loyalty and patronage due to unfriendly, unreactive, and uninformed service dept. staff run by David, Jeremy and Jason…and technical capabilities of the dealership’s repair staff, save for technician Greg. My vehicle was at this dealership for over a month due to misdiagnosis and maligned repair. Car came back with big scratches in the paint on one of the doors, a broken center console and now an engine that rough idles at stop.Terrible Customer Service. Poor at answering phone calls. Poor at returning calls.If you need any more evidence that this is a poorly managed business, just look how its lot is sporadically lit up at night.Poorly managed business. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

I waited 2.5 hours the first day I brought my vehicle to get serviced. I then had to reschedule for another day and I waited nearly 3 hours just for an oil change. This dealership is definitely below VW standards.

This place gets 2 stars only because I love my VW (purchased my 1st Jetta from here and my 2nd Jetta from Walker VW in Metairie). Buying a car was a pretty nice experience but the SERVICE DEPARTMENT at VW of Mandeville is HORRIBLE. They truly act like they are doing you a favor. Dont bother. Out of all my interactions with this crew (6 or more years worth) I can honestly say maybe one or two were positive experiences. I will now be driving past VW of Mandeville all the way to Ray Brandt VW in Harvey for my service needs.

We were greeted immediately by Bren Miller, told him what we wanted, then he brought us straight to them. He was by far the MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE CAR DEALER I ever dealt with! He really knew everything, and made it a point to mention the things he knew mattered to a mother 😊 When we told him we had to look at some others before deciding he wasnt pushy but did ask we look at the safety/crash rating. He also said wed be back. Every other car I sat in I compared to it and noted what they didnt have that Bren pointed out theirs did. Needless to say we ended up back there and bought where the process was quick and easy!

When we bought our first car from them we had a great experience. We went to trade it for a new Atlas last week and it was horrible. They couldnt be bothered to look at the trade or even speak to anyone. They all wanted to huddle in an office and talk. So off to Gateway Ford and a new Edge Titanium Elite went home with us. Oh well I guess they dont need or want return customers.

Would definitely come back again. We worked with Cody and greatly appreciated the professionalism and quality of people here at VW of Mandeville. Would recommend him and VW any day of the week. Love the new Tiguan!

I should have read all the bad reviews on this place before dealing with them. I live 2 hours away so I called first about a car I was interested in. The sales manager (Chris) kept me on the phone for 15 minutes getting my trade info and said he would call me back. He never did. I took time off from work the next day and drove 2 hours each way to see the car only to be told they sold it to someone else. Chris never bothered to call me about my trade in or that the car I wanted was sold. I lost a days pay from missing work, all for nothing. I plan on letting the Volkswagen corporate office know about my experience. Read all the bad reviews on this place and then shop elsewhere.

Went here to look at the Volkswagen Atlas after working over the phone with Trish. Was greeted quickly by Ricky, and he was very detailed in explaining the features of the car with the plus and minuses. Worst experience ever! Let me start this with I’m very aware due to the covid-19 outbreak business are operating differently and I took that into consideration. We got there slightly early to look around a bit, I already knew which car I wanted to look at I just wanted to look around. They finally opened and I was still walking around waiting for someone to come out well after about 20 minutes no one ever came. I went inside, still no one so I finally found a cashier (nicest person I would talk to that day) so she found me a salesman and this is where it all went south! We went to his office to talk about what I was looking for and literally three minutes into our conversation his phone rings, he apologized answered the phone and almost 20 minutes later when he hangs up he says I’m sorry Were short handed today (there were three other salesman in the offices playing on there phones). So I tell him what I’m looking at he goes gets me the keys and I take a test drive while they appraise my car for a trade. I get back and I wasn’t as In love with it as I thought I’d be but I felt bad for wasting his time so I told him that I’d be interested in looking at other things. I pick out a couple more, I take one at a time to drive and each one was worst then the last! I drove a car first and it reeked or cigarette smoke like as if they had just been smoking in it that morning! The next one I drove was disgusting on the inside, it was full of dirty towels where it looked like they had started wiping it down but then left, the carpet was full of dirt and grass and the seats were full of crumbs! At this point I decide This isn’t the place for me so my boyfriend had to leave to go to work so I go back in by myself to tell the salesman I’d like my keys so I could go, but out of my curiosity I wanted to know how much they wanted to give me for my car. He informs me that he can’t tell me that till he files my credit application so I told him no thank you and that I’d like my keys. He then informs me that I should just take the original car I looked at for a little while, leave mine and come and buy the new one. Again I tell him no thank you I’d just like my keys and he tells me he can’t do that because there in the managers office, so I politely tell him I need my keys and he needs to go get them so we walk to the managers office and he tells the manager I need my keys well the manager then tells him to tell me that I shouldn’t be wasting peoples time if I wasn’t ready to buy a car! I get my keys FINALLY and leave. Now mind you I am pretty young but I have amazing credit and I work in a plant so I literally could have bought any car on that lot rather easily but I was trying to be economical and buy used because of the driving i do, it had nothing to do with my ability or readiness to buy the car it had everything to do with the poor upkeep of the vehicles and the rude staff. Also just to top it off I Called Ross downing in Hammond as I was leaving because I wanted to look at a car they had, by the time I got there (about 30 minutes) they had the car washed, detailed, and waiting for me. I test drove it and was in and out with a new car in about an hour, give or take a few minutes. So morale of the story of you want a VW don’t go here!

Service personnel at this location were less than welcoming. We were not greeted upon arrival and the general atmosphere throughout our visit was uncaring and matter-of-fact. Our service adviser was not exactly unfriendly, but but seemed much less than enthusiastic about providing assistance.

The worst experience Ive ever had. Ive worked at 3 car dealerships and this is shady car sales at its finest. Not only did they post the wrong information, pictures and mileage on the listing online as bait. They tried to push me into buying a busted up Altima. The tactics are the reason I was never trusted as a car salesman. I could have purchased any car on the lot but they didnt even push me to test drive the one I REALLY wanted. Instead they were too passionate about ripping me off. Tried to rip me off. The manager was the absolute worst. Very sad. They couldnt see past the fact I could have purchased anything on the lot for cash, instead they tried to rip me off because I played dumb. Very sad.

I had a good experience this time, and am hopeful they’ve turned over a new leaf. The difference is so stark, compared to the service I’ve received in the past year or so, that I can’t help but be hopeful this is meant to be the beginning of great change. This shop used to have impeccable customer service and mechanical work, but during the past two years they’ve experienced a high rate of turnover and have seemed uninterested in good communication or any attention to detail.This is the first time they’ve solicited reviews, so perhaps it’s part of a new focus. Service was friendly, helpful and considerate during this visit, and they have followed up since. I look forward to a return to the high quality service I received here years ago. I wanted to write an update to my previous review. Initially I did not have the best experience dues to the sales man I worked with. As soon as the General Manager, Mark Moore, found out about my experience he worked quickly to remedy it. He gave me a great deal on the car I wanted and even drove it down to the south shore to meet me with the car. I was about to give up because of the initial experience but I am glad I gave him the opportunity to make things right. I love my new car. VW of Mandeville SMART move hiring Mark Moore! Finally an honest and trustworthy car salesman. I would definitely go back for my next car... but I hope I wont need one for awhile. :)

Cody was wonderful but the finance guy, Chris, was rude. I referred a friend here after I had a good experience with my salesman but the finance department is still being a nightmare weeks from the date of purchase. I bought the car weeks ago and my bank still has no idea that I bought the car and called and asked if I changed my mind. Let’s not even talk about the fact that I can’t get a tag because no one has processed my paperwork yet. They did finally pay off my trade and didn’t even pay what was written on the contract that they would pay so now I’m receiving a bill? I have never experienced anything like this.

1.0 star rating1/7/2017If I could I would give a below zero rating on customer service. I WILL never go back to this dealership for any reason. Even though I purchased my car overseas, Mandeville VW was the delivery company they chose and paid to deliver my car. Not only did they deliver my car dirty and full of sticker glue, I got no gas and no help on demonstrating the features of my new car. Trevor didnt have time for me because he was dealing with 3 other deals so I had to make my own phone calls to get the proper documentation needed to register my car after they refused to register it because they did not get paid to do so. I made three trips and several phones calls to this place to get more documentation after being told I had everything I needed. I am now at Day 4 and still dont have my brand new car registered. This was the worst experience of my life! Not only are they not knowledgeable about what each customer needs, they dont care. They obviously dont need future business either. I will drive as far as I have to for service but it wont be to Mandeville. Oh, and Trevor, dont bother with the apologies, it wont be sincere and Im over you and your dealership. I know, you have to apologize so that your ratings improve. Keep it, because NOW, I dont have time for you!

Great service! Mechanic sent me a video of my vehicle inspection while I was waiting. Since the customer cant go in the garage and see for themselves, the video is the next best thing! I got to see my brake pad thickness not just take the dealers word for it.

I had a very smooth car buying experience here. I was nervous about traveling from BR to Mandeville for a car. But they were very accommodating, setting up an appt that worked for me. As soon as I got there we test drove the car. Adam educated me about the car and the Volkswagen brand. There was no pressure. They also worked very hard to make sure I didn’t have to drive my car back home and I left in the car I wanted. Adam and Chris were very patient even though I had them there will after business hours. Hopefully all VW dealerships are like this, I will shop with them for life.

My wife dealt with a very nice salesman who was very helpful. The finanace manager, Logan, was very helpful and gave my wife a ton of info on the vehicle. We were hesitant to make the purchase but the number was were we wanted it so we were leaning towards the purchse. Then we met the arrogant sales manager. I dont remember his name. Immediate attitude as soon as we walked in his office. Walked away with no car.

I do not recommend using the web based appointment system. It is not accurate. I had to wait an hour after my designated appointment before my car was serviced.

THIS IS FOR BREN.THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT ANY CAR DEALERSHIP EVER. We came to look at two used vehicles. BREN came out and introduced himself. We told him the 2 vehicles we came to look at and maybe test drive. He tried showing us the more expensive vehicles but thats not what we were interested in. He went in to grab the keys, came out ten minutes later and told us one of the vehicles were sold. When we asked him about the other vehicle he said he would need to see our license and CAR INSURANCE. My husband explained that he was just test driving and we didnt have car insurance because WE WERE BUYING A NEW CAR. BREN SAID THAT WE COULD NOT TEST DRIVE, THAT IT IS STATE LAW TO HAVE INSURANCE BEFORE TEST DRIVING. This is completely false. This salesman was very rude and did not care to help us or care about our business.

UPDATE: I have yet to receive my license plate and registration from this dealership. I purchased my car back in August 2018. My temporary tag expired on the 17th of October. I had to stay on top of them just to get a new temp tag. I had to drive back to Mandeville to make sure I was able to drive my car legally. I was told by Cody that my temp tag was in the mail on the 16th, I still haven’t received the temp tag. I’m not understanding as to why I don’t have my license plate yet and they can’t seem to give me any answers. Also, I have tried to speak to other managers to figure out the problem no answer. Voicemail box full or they just don’t call you back. I agree with what other customers have said they give you great service while you are there but after that zero!!!5 star service from the time I put my inquiry in online! Cody is AWESOME!!! His manager Jason is AWESOME!!! Cody remembered me from when I inquired about my Atlas earlier in the year, which made me feel great. Even though I changed my mind so many times he never showed that he was getting frustrated with me. I 😍😍😍 Volkswagen of Mandeville I will be using them when I’m looking for my kids cars in the future! Again 5 star service!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Let me tell you about one of the worst car buying experiences that I have ever had. We showed up on Saturday April 6 to trade in a leased Honda Odyssey on a new VW Tiguan. After hours of waiting on a sales manager we finally got our paperwork signed. The VW salesman and sales manager claim to have negotiated a lower payoff amount on our leased van. It wasnt until two weeks later that we got our final bill of $1135 from Honda that we realized the price was never adjusted. In fact, Honda financial had paperwork that said we did a lease turn in at Walker Acura. They had no record of an adjusted price. After 7 weeks of back and forth emails we finally got our $1135 from VW Mandeville. Great! Problem solved...not quite. We just received a letter from the State of Louisiana that says our Honda Odyssey doesnt have insurance on it. The Honda Odyssey that VW Mandeville already sold to another customer. So now I have to report to a State of Louisiana Reinstatement Office with proof that I traded in my car. I have bought and sold over 20 vehicles in my life and I have never gotten a notice from the State of Louisiana about not carrying insurance. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM VW MANDEVILLE OR ANY OTHER DEALERSHIPS OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON.

That includes the salesmen, the guys in the service dept, the little store and the guys who clean and detail my car.Infact when I was there last week with my dog, the guys that welcomed us in the service area were so kind to my little dog Max, and playing with him. One guy even dog sat him while I went out side with a mechanic to discuss my car.Their service and politeness far exceeds the service Ive ever received anywhere else.
