Excellent communication, service is fast and the fixes are lasting and warrantied for 12mo/12,000mi. I rely on my cars daily and cant have them tied up in a shop so this is where I go now. So glad a friend recommended Meineke to me!!

I felt safe going to this car repair place, and I love that it’s next to Starbucks. They didn’t have appointments available but said they’d squeeze me in if I left my car fit a few hours. It’s my second day doing that for two different things, and it’s wonderful. And they honor military veterans by giving discounts. And I went in with very little clue what my car needed. By the end of the first day, they gave me a thorough assessment of the other services my car needed. After years of neglecting my car, it’s what I expected. Thank you, Meineke.

Meineke Car Care in Manteca CA went far and beyond, they not only allowed me to walk in without prior appointment but took care of my problem with the twinkling of an eye.I was just returning home from work and it was a hot day only to get into the Company Vehicle and the engine had difficulties starting. The cracking was sluggish which I suspected to be a fault with the battery.It eventually started just before my colleague brought me jumper cables. I called Meineke and Chris told me to bring the car in right away, they were indeed amazing.I have been to Meineke before to do wheel alignment and again they took my car without prior appointment unlike other places where they are so rigid and won’t touch you even with a ten feet pole without an appointment🥲I will choose Meineke again and again👏👏👏👏

I needed someone to lookat my car after an incident that was messing with my temperature gauge readout. When they had found nothing wrong with my car, lets just say they gave me even a better deal on my bill. # Pleased!!

Honest employees. We went here for a brake replacement for my girlfriends 2018 Ford Escape. My girlfriend was quoted by 2 actual dealerships in Manteca. The first one informed her that her brakes & rotors need replacement since its really bad and that the rotors are glazed. They said it would be $900+ for that. We then went to a second one where she got her oil change, they said it needs a replacement for 4 since its gonna go bad after that oil change. These 2 dealerships are known in town and they just want to sell you, not even thinking about retaining their customers from a good & honest service. Thankfully, I googled Meineke and spoke to Chris. He told us the brakes are good and that it doesnt need a replacement for the next 20k miles. Will definitely come back here for our car services. Kudos! 🙌🏻🙂

I went in thinking I needed my AC to be recharged. They did that but also discovered an issue. After I agreed to the service, it took them less than an hour to get a part in and change it out. Chris was awesome and I’ll be going again.

Took my car in to get the ac system checked out, I had done some repairs and wanted to make sure everything was working properly. Even though they were really busy that day, they squeezed my car in and performed the inspection the same day. Thanks Meineke!

They would not honor the warranty for after market catalytic converters. It is a 5 year warranty in California. I only had the cats in my truck for 1 year a one month they said the cats are out warranty. They finally replaced one but they wanted me to pay half for second one. They also replaced my ball joints at a different time and I still had noise so I took my truck different shop and they fixed the noise.

Felt ripped off. Took car in because tire pressure light was on. Counter guy looked and said tires looked okay, said it was probably the sensor. So I made an appt and took it in and when I picked it up they told me the sensors were fine, I had a nail in my tire that they fixed then charged me $125 for checking the sensor. I could have gone to Les Schwab and had my tire checked and fixed for free.

06/12/2021: My Miata needed an oil change and I chose Meineke because every shop I had called were all booked and I was told to drop off my car. This was at 11:52am. I understand there are others who made an appointment ahead of time but I was there for 5 HOURS only to find out my Miata needed a serpentine belt replaced as well!! So the guy ordered the belt. I waited an additional HOUR only to find out the belt that he ordered from Car Quest was the wrong size so the mechanic had to put my old belt back on. 🙄 So now I have to go back on Tuesday for the new belt to be installed!! Youd be upset too if you had to wait for 5 HOURS!!! The next time my Miata needs an oil change I will go to Midas!! I wouldnt give Meineke any stars. Very poor service and I wouldnt recommend ANYONE to get their vehicle serviced here!!!

I made an appointment to do my oil change and they got it done within 30 mins. They did recommend to change my tires soon and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was 870 for 4 new tires which I think is way overpriced. I will be going elsewhere for that. That would be my only complaint.

I had to get an inspection for lyft. I had made my appt for saturday, through the app on Monday and i called Thursday to confirm the appt (I was busy with work and forgot to call sooner) and was told that the appt didnt go through on their end. I was then told I could go in around 930 as a walk in. I got there and was taken right away. In and out within maybe 30 minutes. The guy in the office was super busy and making a ton of phone calls but still managed to be polite and professional. This is the second time Ive had my inspection done here and Ive had a pleasant experience both times. I would highly recommend this location 👌

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I went in late morning for a full synthetic oil change. Dropped the car off and expected a call within an hour to pick it up. Didnt hear from them and call about hour and a half later. Terry, assistant manager, answered the phone. He was unpleasant to speak with... I asked if my vehicle was ready and he said it wasnt. I asked when it would be and he then began to question if I had an appointment, which I did not. Havent made an appt for an oil change in over 10 years. He then informed me that if I didnt have an appointment it would be ready before they closed!! Which was 5pm. He then told me that they were starting to take their lunches and the earliest they could get to it was 2pm and that they had 20 cars in front of mine with appointments. I was flabbergasted! I came in for an oil change. The simplest quickest maintenance you can perform on a car and they needed my car for a full day to complete?! No thank you!! Plus he was so rude on the phone!! I immediately went there and retrieved my vehicle and took my business elsewhere 😒

Arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment, staff was friendly and very efficient and delivered within time as promised. Big plus for not leaving greasy hand prints all over the place like the typical oil changing places. Very satisfied and I will be back for regular service.

They did not properly secure the bottom cover and left a loose piece that made a clanking noise that finally fell off when bottom cover busted loose. Unexperienced. Nice guys but incompetent

The person behind the desk when I arrived was very nice and professional. I just didn’t care that there were finger smudges left on the in/outside of doors and side panel I’m assuming from doing oil changes. So when I picked up they didn’t mention the issues that were noticed. It’s not that big of a deal for me but for someone that didn’t know, it would be nice to show them the items that need attention, and it might be more money for your company if they want to get it done.

I brought my van in, a 2007 nissan quest for power steering leak, they said it would cost me $500, and they offered if i wanna for the $2500 credit card to which i refused. The next they called its gonna need more parts to be replaced and it ended up costing $1500 to which i refused and then they offered the credit card again. My brother is a mechanic and i know how to work on cars, the only reason i brought car in is bec. i dont have a proper equipment to lift my car and crawl under. They told me the job would take them 2.5 hours, but it took them 4 days. When i finally got my car, there are missing screws, broken parts, loose screws, wipers are not installed back properly, connections were not connected. I have to reconnect eveything back, i have to find screws to replace the missing ones. I have to re-align the wipers. The manager there, Cris, was nice but my experience there was a hastle and a disappointment.

Got to the place 30 minutes early than my scheduled appointment and they took me then with no waiting till scheduled time...was told my oil change would take 40 minutes to an hour and it was done sooner than that! They have a great price as well! Would definitely recommend going here for any car needs!

I love the fact that they are open on Saturdays. My truck broke down Friday evening and knowing that every auto care place is closed on the weekends I was totally bummed. But when I searched I found that Meineke was open Saturday morning, so I had my Tahoe towed there and they did an awesome job changing my fuel pump and an oil leak that I had found previously. Plus they take Synchrony Car Care credit card. I am one happy girl and I would refer them to anyone that asked

My appointment for my oil change was at 3, I called at 5 to see if it was ready and they said it was and it get there as soon as I can cause they were closing...maybe if they actually called me when it was ready I could get there sooner. They also didn’t put my mileage for the next time I need to get an oil change. On my receipt they put I declined services that they suggest I needed yet again they never called me so I’m not sure how I declined them...I won’t be going back here.

Updated review - I went here Monday for an oil change and to change my headlight and tail light. Upon their supposed attempt at changing the headlight, it did not work.I told them not to mess with that and I took it to another place - Main Auto Repair - for a headlight. The mechanic at Meineke said the car could have had a wiring issue. The mechanic at Main Auto fixed my light in 10 minutes. The light socket just needed to be cleaned out.I feel like meineke lied either in order to charge for a diagnostic or to get out of changing the light. I will not be coming back. I recommend switching mechanics if you currently go here.Original review - Very nice customer service. Car work is always more expensive than I want it to be. The guys explained everything very well and even showed me the damaged parts.

Manager Chris took wonderful care of me and fit me in without an app on the weekend. He was polite and patient. His wonderful customer service keeps our family coming back.

Took a truck in for a check engine light. The employees here could have told me just what the problem was with the check engine light and said what needed to be fixed. But they went into detail and pointed out exactly what was wrong. As to give me the option to choose what was going to be done next with a clear understanding of what was wrong. Just to be clear the catalytic converter was the least of my problems. You guys saved me alot of money and maybe even helped avoid an automobile accident in the future. So thank you to everyone who worked on it and provided me with all the information.

I dropped off my car during lunch for an oil change. They called me back and said they didn’t do the oil change because the bolt was stripped and also needed to be rethreaded. They proceeded to tell me that something like that would cost 175 dollars. So I picked up my car and didn’t get anything done. I typically do my own oil changes however I had a 25 dollar coupon and had just moved so I figured it would save me some time. When I got My car back it was leaking oil from the oil pan which it has never done in the past. I Ended up just buying the stuff for my oil change and as usual my friend and I did it without complications. I really felt like they tried to get over on me because I am a woman however I don’t think they realized I knew what I was doing. Nothing was stripped and nothing needed to be rethreaded. Just the normal changing of the oil and the oil filter. Not a very happy customer.

I just got a tune up there. Service was good. 300 is just kind of steep for a tune up in my opinion

Went for an oil change and they broke my front right strut, and instead of fixing it they tried to charge me just shy of $1000. Had it towed to Car Pros 1 in Modesto where they gave me a ballpark quote of $330-$460

The front desk is always super helpful and Im always satisfied with my experience. Ive been to other places but this is my go to from now on. Keep it up.

This isnt my first time at the Manteca Meineke Car Care Center. I was helped by Chris and he was 100% knowledgeable. As for his customer service, it doesnt get any better. I will definitely use them again.

Went in for a oil change and they told me my brakes were really worn and needed to be replaced. The gave me a cost for a complete brake job rotors and all. It was last year but I want to say in the $600.00 range. It is my company truck and we normally do this type of work at Ford. So we told Ford about the 911 on the brakes being so bad. They checked and said the brakes were not even close to needing to be replaced.Its been a year and the brakes are still good as per Ford.BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE !!!I reported to Minke website with No Responce.

When I came yesterday to get an oil change for my daughters car all the gentleman that helped me were very very helpful and even when I had to change the service type they were able to do that for me without it being an inconvenience for them actually I would be going back to get my sons oil changed.

My AC suddenly started giving up during the week of 100+ degrees. I called Meineke in Manteca at around 1:30, thinking I needed a recharge. They said “bring it in now and you’ll have A/C by 5:00 today. So I did, and they did! As it turned out, it was a relay and I didn’t need the recharge after all. It want a bigger issue either (I was afraid of a leak or compressor needing replaced). I was so happy to have my car back the same after noon, and the charges were very reasonable! Service, excellent!

Twice in a row I called and got put on hold for over 10 minutes until I finally hung up. Used to get decent service here but I guess thats changed. They should probably hire a receptionist if they cant handle simple calls for service appointments.

Awesome place and a fair price. Went in because my timing belt broke. They had my car back to me within a couple of days. The two guys at the desk terry and chris are always very friendly and there to help the best they can.
