I come from the bay and I thought those walmarts were not great. I Do love that this one has a full grocery dept. Great bakery stuff. Love the grocery area in general..the sporting good dept is also large and good but the bad part is that the rest of the store is lacking. The clothing dept is small and cramped in the middle of the store. It usually is messy and the lines for checkout are in my experience....super long. Every time I have gone there are only 2 or 3 registers open and huge slow lines.

One of my Best Walmart visits in a while way better store than the ones in Modesto.

Its Wal-Mart in California... what more is there to say.... there are very nice Wal-Marts but theyre in other states...

Its a typical Walmart. I do like that we have a deli, bakery and produce section. I dont like that the staffing is always low, all Walmarts are. Also, they almost never have baskets to grab, always have to walk back out to parking lot and grab one,, now I just bring one in with me.. I also feel like as much money that Walmart has why dont they ever have all items in stock, constantly asking myself everytime Im shopping in this store why do I shoo here, they nvr have what I need. Yet, I continue to shop. I do find myself going to Target and looking online. Overall I guess its not too bad.

I have been ordering groceries over the past few months from Walmart and typically run into issues where common items such as Gatorade, Listerine, Mio, etc are out of stock. My last delivery of liquid Chai tea arrived with one of the two bottles broken and leaking. I made a grocery order and scheduled the delivery for the next day between 7-8 pm. Received an email at 6:45 indicating my order was delayed and I will be updated when it’s scheduled to arrive. No follow up email and no delivery. 24 hours later I try to call the store and no one answers. I then call the Walmart Customer Service line. The customer service agent had an accent and I struggled to follow the conversation that amounted to a lot of apologies. The solution provided by the agent was I would receive my groceries in 1-2 days. I would receive an email when my items were enroute. I had frozen foods, milk and eggs in my order. I asked if I was expected to wait around the house for 1-2 days so I could be present for my delivery of perishable items. The response was I will get an email when the delivery is on its way. I cancelled the order. Really Walmart? Doesn’t your staff have enough common sense to at least try to book another delivery window? Maybe she couldn’t. I guess it’s back to Safeway and Instacart.

Its ok pretty basic the customer service center where you do business it money transactions always had a huge line and it takes forever I you handle your bills that way. I can barley stand to be in line that long to send money when I do use them. But I see the people paying bills there and it takes forever. That is pretty much my only issue with this store.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the Manteca Walmart. They have the absolute worst customer service you can ever imagine. I mean, I cant express the happiness you get by waiting in the very long self checkout line, only to go when its your turn and be told cash only on all the registers. Its not like you could put a sign up so that people know and dont waste their time getting in a line cant ring them up. It gets better though, you then get to decide which of the three open checkout lanes with humans in them you want to choose from. Each with a massively long line of people and their carts. Good times! The store is consistently messy and physically dirty. And this is not a recent thing because any kind of employee shortage, its always been like this.This Walmart is probably one of the worst ones out there. But Im sure this is not a shock to anyone who has been at the Manteca location.

Super crowded and messy (not dirty). Ive never seen so many people at Walmart. They need to remodel this location badly. I got anxious at this location.

Why shopping carts not stocked. Way to many carts throughout the massive parking lot.Never enough cashiers working.Long lines.Self checkout always has limited stations. More closed than open.To much emphasis put on online shopping support vs in store customers.

Last I went there to do my bigger shopping experience the cashier couldnt even run my cards. Before you comment yes the cards were good. It wasent just me in line that day that had problems with her kept happening to a few others.

Stockers were constantly stocking shelves to keep everything accessible for the customers.Workers were always available for whatever you needed.Walmart is my favorite place to shop. Their prices are pretty good to me.I shop there every month and also when there is something I need Walmart is the first place I go.

Electronics, one person-doing register, helping with locked cabinets, doing costumer service. Out of stock on item I went in for. Im not complaining; expressing my experience. Its one of the better Walmart supercenter.

First time there. Is that where all other Walmart’s go to die? Food selection was very very poor. Total disarray. Very poorly ran store. Not a good use of space. Probably the first and last time I will set foot in there.

This is THE worst walmart in history. This store NEVER has enough checkers.I dont know why I keep coming hear. I end up walking out every time.I quess Im waiting for them to step it up.Great job Management!

The customer service was slow. Staff did not look motivated to work today. I will return another day to give this staff and store another opportunity to earn my patronage. We need to strive to do better because all customers deserve to be treated better.

This walmart has a post apocalypse theme. Not sure if they do this on purpose or not which is why the 2 stars. Would have been only one star but the zombies roaming the aisles earned them an extra star. Keep up the good work...or not.

Excellent location! One of the better Walmart stores I have been too. Well stocked, friendly cashier, fast service, and when a pricing error occurred at checkout, which was noticed by the cashier, was immediately corrected! Definitely recommend a shopping trip to this location for some nice shopping deals for the family!

Very helpful. As I was in the store my pup decided to go on her own adventure. She wandered into the store, which is pretty big, got lost. The employees all worked together to help me locate her. I feel a potential childrens book coming from this experience...lmao. sShe was located safely laying down in sporting goods near the balls 🤣

I would give no stars!!!! Not enough inventory, carts, open registers and customer service is terrible if you are lucky to find someone to help you! No one answers the phonesTwo more visits to the store. No customer service on floor. 2 registers open. 30 people in line for both registers. Same for self serve registers. Talk with a girl walking around with a Walmart vest shirt on. Ask to talk to manager. She said she was a supervisor. Ask why more registers not open. She said they did not have the staff. I told her I managed for 10 years in retail. I told her I got on register when employees were not available. It is all about customer service. She said she would not go on registers because it was not her job. We need another home products store in Manteca. Corporate companies need to quit worrying about there stock report and more about the people! They are making profits!!! When my time is open I go to Modesto Walmart. Better service and more products in store.

I have mobility problems so I need to use the scooter to shop I have to drive to Lodi or Manteca to get a scooter Stockton Wal-Mart dont have enough of them anymore this was a good ideal getting scooters for customers thank you Wal-Mart 😊

Never enough assistance on the floor to help people. Doesnt rotate the air conditioning. Way to hot in there and you would think that they would be better about circulating the air since we just had Covid 19. They are locking up things that dont need to be locked up and it takes forever to get someone to help you.You feel the need to Jack up prices but I guarantee that the customer service went into the toilet because there seems to be no customer service at all. On top of it all you want us to self check too. You make millions of dollars so hire good quality people.

I think you shop faster rather than getting out. Long lines cashiers are way too slow, no caring out the line, a employee told a customer she was not a cashier and if they didnt like the wait to go to another store. That was very rude.

What can I say its Walmart. The Manteca store is always busy and its hard to get around the isles sometimes. The staff is friendly and the inventory is good. I quess I will go back. :)

Lunch meat nd cheese section never stocked. No hamburger meat out.. If you ask someone to help you they act put out. Guess they are there to collect a paycheck nd forget helping the customer. Without me the customer you wouldnt have a job. Who thinks like that anymore. Just seems like shelfs are never fully stocked.

Walmart supercenter in Lodi, CA is a great place to shop. Its huge! No area uncovered for your needs. They also have a FedEx office, Clutter, Nail shop and subway. So its like a one stop shop. The employees are very helpful and efficient.

There always hidden treasures to find throughout the store. I love finding items that are highly discounted and paying half the price. The employees are extremely friendly and help you out when you need them. The self checkout lanes are usually full and you have to wait about 5 mins to pay but overall its a great store

I have been in Walmart stores across the country and this one has to be one of the most crammed and tight feeling stores I have experienced. Aisles are very narrow and if they are restocking, that are almost impassible. On the good side, they are well stocked and have an excellent selection of just about anything you could want or need!

I love this walmart. I hate this walmart. I buy too much stuff here. I go early and the in store experience is pretty good. I order pick up and the experience is always great. I go at the wrong time of day and everyone is grumpy including me. Its super solid, but other walmarts have a slightly better vibe in store.

Its hit and miss sometimes when your looking for a specific item, or its locked up behind glass in which you have to hunt down a staff member to open the case for you then if you decided you want to get it, a staff employee will take it to a specific checkout for you to buy! Such an inconvenience, it takes away from the shopping experience.I will say the Manteca Walmart has cleaned up its image, they have widened the aisles, moved things around among some of the upgrades the store has visually underwent.

I raced to arrive before returns closed. Got there just in time or so I thought but they had already blocked it off early. Thanks to the very helpful manager Marcus I was able to do my return.

If you are buying a lot at Walmart in Manteca, be sure to check your receipt before you leave the store. I do believe there’s a fraudulent activities going on among the employees, they are conniving each other. I went to the customer service to dispute an amount of $68, in which I did not buy. The prevention and loss security told me that on the footage of their camera showed that I put a small box of Pokémon trading cards, and told them that I don’t even seen any Pokémon cards, and why would I buy trading cards when I am an old lady. Well to make story short, they were not very helpful, they just told me to go home and find the barcode maybe it sticked to another item, and that’s when they will give me a refund. So I plugged in my receipt to my son’s Walmart account, and that’s when I found out it was not a Pokémon trading cards, it’s a Pokémon birthday cake. That’s why I cannot find the barcode that it may be sticking on a different item. I believe the Latina salesclerk working on Aug. 4 on terminal 6, between 9:00 - 10:00 am while I was busy putting my items on the conveyor was doing the scanning on her cheat cheat on the side. The woman cannot afford to buy a cake for her child, the cake has to be ordered online thru the Walmart app. If Walmart customer and the prevention & loss security were helpful, they will figure it out that there was a mistake or fraud.Bless the soul of that Latina salesclerk, may she live forever and lots of people will be victimized at Walmart. So be careful for scammers, they are everywhere!!!!

The register lines were ridiculous. The self-check line would have gone much quicker had there been more open (only about 1/3 available).

Customer service was not helpful and rude. WalMart did not properly check their return item product before reselling it to us when. Open the box when we got home, was wrong item. WalMart didnt want to give us a refund. Corena acting supervisor denied us of talking to the store manager. Target has better customer service!

Walmart Manteca is always super busy. The isles are very difficult to maneuver due to the fact that they continually place stock in the center of the isles. The pharmacy is usually not too crowded however, if you use the app to refill and pay for your prescriptions you will likely have to ask someone to log into the register to allow you to skip the line. This is honestly the main reason I use the Walmart pharmacy. Being able to track your prescriptions, have them text you when they are ready and pay for them before you walk into the store so you dont have to wait in line is an amazing option that frankly I never see anyone else using. If you dont mind the occasional dirty look you get when you skip the line where people have been waiting for 20-30 min its almost perfect. They just need to log in to the register so you can scan the code with your phone.

Customer service is terrible, lines are to long, you cant find anyone to help you, and Noone ever answers the phone in any department., and spoiled food sits out too long

There was this nice lady who worked in electronics that begin helping me as soon as she laid eyes on me up until the time I left. She also gave me some well-needed advice I really needed to hear. Everybody else was ugly.

Loud speakers talking about their employees working extra hard...employees smoking everywhere out front in their vests and literally zero carts in there. The employee at the front explaining they have 200 carts and 300 people inside. You are kidding me right? I left. Ill spend extra on my supplies elsewhere. What a complete dumpster of a Walmart.

Order groceries for pick up through the mobile app. Very convenient and quick. Saved me a bunch of time by ordering groceries a day ahead and selecting a pick up time. Great customer service, the Walmart employee even loaded all the groceries in the back of the car. Very much appreciated.

Most employees are rude. They are either on too tight of schedule or they need to be taught how to deal with the customers.

Its WalMart. Went in bout 10 pm. Was a mess everywhere as usual at night. But I was able to get in and out quickly.

Great store. However, I am a bit bothered on how my family was treated last night. So we walk to the register. And the belt was clear so my husband started putting our items on there the cashier got pretty rude and demanded he move 6 foot back and wait until the customers were gone. We were not close to the other customers not at all. Anyway so they leave and we load our items. While we loaded our items a few more families approach and start adding their items and were like 2 foot from us. She didnt say a word to any of these families just us. Like we were singled out. I get it that theres a virus and 6 foot is what we should all stay apart but do not single one person out without doing it to the rest of the people. Its rude.

I got what i needed, but they were out of cabbage. Otherwise this is usually the store i go to.

This Walmart is a mixture of senior citizens and younger generation. There is a bit of of conflict and personal differences that cause some of the employees here to be consistently rude. Ive personally checked them,but they tend to do it again,and I check em again. As far as a shopping experience.Poor,the money center always delayed for greater periods than need be if they would just train those placed to work in the I s department all the trades of the money center. I shopped this morning for perhaps the last time. I, and several other customers, waited our turns in the 20 or less line. The person in front of me had 35 plus items. Needless to say, two customers behind me did not appreciate the situation either. The clerk just shirked and said she wasnt allowed to say anything to them. People should abide by the rules.

I usually love this Walmart. Especially when im in a hurry and their self check out is so convenient. But for some reason self check out was closed tonight.

The floor workers do not know where stationary is located. I asked 4 different people and they all gave me different directions. I spent about 26 minutes looking for one item and it was located so high on the shelf that and no information that would make me know where it was. A clerk found it for me.

Got off work ...had to cash a check...waited 45 min in line. When i reached the desk the lady says not enough money here.. go to check cashing place...first off check cashing place is now closed cus i came here and waited almost an hour...idc how old you are or what you look like..but have some courteous walk out to your huge line and announce hey! If your cashing a check our drawers do not have enough please try elsewhere but nope let people wait 45 minutes and miss out on dinner with family plus no service. Be aware Wal-Mart do better.
