This is your convenient neighborhood hardware store. It may not have the large inventory like a Home Depot but is very convenient for simple Home Maintenance items

Like all Ace Hardwares, the store is full of interesting and useful items. What makes Marina ACE hardware special is their staff that never fail to be kind and helpful.

Although Ace Hardware is a national chain, the one in Marina has more of a mom-and-pop feel to it. Its small enough where you dont feel lost in the wilderness like in the big box places, and its very easy to find someone to help you locate an obscure item. Heck, most of the time I dont even have to ask for help. If you appear to be searching for something help is is usually offered without asking, in a polite non-pushy way. If you get an Ace rewards card youll get discount coupons in the mail. My only caveat is that the door locks sold under the Ace brand name arent constructed very well, and in my experience dont last. Weve had problems with every one weve bought there. One lock failed completely and locked my son into one of our bathrooms. It froze up and refused to open. I had to destroy it with a sledgehammer to get him out. Im dinging my rating one star because of that, but its not really the Marina stores fault that Ace Brand door locks arent very good.

My boyfriend and I are always greeted kindly, have a wide selection of tools,keys,bathroom and cleaning products. Love it.

Great customer service except one older lady which she wasnt very helpful at all. She shouldnt be doing this kind of work if she doesnt like her job.

The only thing good about this place is the guy with long black hair everybody else seems to hate their life except for the younger kids but the other people horrible customer service and they should maybe move on

As much I like big box hardware stores, Ace is a breath of fresh air with a service based small town feel. I hope the bigger stores never put service based stores out of business.

I came in after I noticed my water heater leaking and they set me up with not only the piece I needed to replace but with a recommendation for the perfect local plumber. My problem was fixed within an hour thanks to Ace Hardware employees who were willing to help me figure out what I needed (since I had no idea) and get me going on the right track with a local number.

A great, neighborhood hardware store. It doesnt have everything, but with home depot a hop away it doesnt. What it does have is a great selection of the basics and a loyal staff - great reasons to avoid the depot if you can.

I really want to shop local and support Marina businesses - but no. Ill go to Ace in PG or Prims before I come back here. I rented a steam cleaner and the salesperson didnt have any clean machines available s/he asked if I wanted to take one anyhow and they would ensure it would be noted that it was rented out in the current condition and no additional fees would apply. So, when I returned the cleaner the next day, - even cleaner than when I rented it-the original salesperson was not there. A salesperson and manager were there, the salesperson checked me in and commented it was not clean. I explained the situation and the manager without wincing did not care and said, it is dirty, charge him $20. - in addition to the fee I had already paid. Seriously. I balked and he didnt care and insisted I pay $20 extra. So, in an era where everything is available everywhere, customer service matters, and they offered terrible, unprofessional customer service.

Ace is the place i have come to know and love . Best place to get any hardware you need for your home and every repair to a home in the marina area. Go here first cause it will be the only stop you will need to go to. They got everything.

Extremely poor customer service. The people that work in this store, at least on weekends, are unhelpful and outright rude. Attempting to rush you out of the store and getting visibly and audibly upset if you are buying a large quantity or anything heavy....at a hardware store.

I shop here OFTEN (> 5 x each week) and find that the staff is courteous and eager to assist.The new or younger staff always seem to be under some sort of training by the experienced staff, which I consider a PLUS.There is always enough staff on hand, even near closing, to assist you with your purchase as soon as you enter the front door .I cant recall any time in the last 3 years shopping there I did not receive a welcome AND a request to assist me within the first minute or two.Although they do not carry the inventory of the large stores, which I also shop... I find the Marina California ACE Hardware Store is an excellent example of superior customer service.BTW, the fastener selection which is my most common purchase is very good for the size of the store.

Ace is the place for local hardware needs.. The selection isnt extensive but manageable for those quick remedies to lifes problems. Not always the lowest price but convience does have a price. Ace is the PLACE!

This ACE Hardware is exactly what I expect when I walk into an ACE Hardware anywhere, USA: Nice local Peeps, in ubiquitous ACE employee vests, will greet you. They dont bug you too much if ya just feel like zoning out on thing-a-ma-jigs and whatchamacallits for a while. I really appreciate that! Sometimes I just need to unwind, ya know? Well they get it.At Checkout, when asked if I have an ACE Rewards Card (and then I guffaw dismissively) the vested one never snaps back . They dont turn the thumb screws on me to sign up nor do they charge me extra for my anonymity, like Safeway will.♪♫ ... ACE is the place with the helpful hard-to-wear (vest), Man.... ♪♫Now, just see how long that jingle sticks in your head...

Originally, I purchased a large two-gallon crock from Ace Hardware online, and it was delivered to this store for pick up. When I got to the store, the folks there were a bit too talkative for my liking. By that, I mean, they got very inquisitive about things that have nothing to do with my business there (as if they were pretending to have known me for years). Maybe that is the nature of Ace Hardware, but Im uncomfortable talking to people I dont know - especially about my career, how long Ive lived here, etc. Once I got the crock, I took it home in the well-packaged box. When I opened it up, it was cracked all the way through. When I went back to the store to return it, no one seemed to know what to do or how to return an item that was purchased through their online store. It took me almost two full weeks to get my refund. It did go through, but it took two trips to the store (and one of the employees asked if I could come back another day to return it).

I was in need of a new wheelbarrow, so I went to my local Ace Hardware Store in Marina, California on the 17th of June, 2014. They had several wheelbarrows on display outside the store. My wife and I picked out the wheelbarrow that we liked and went inside to get one. Just our luck...they didnt have one in stock. I should have just left and went to Home Depot right then, but, I decided to go ahead and give Ace Hardware my business anyway. The man I talked to said he could order one and have it there within 10 days. I went ahead and paid him in cash for a steel wheelbarrow on the 17th of June. He said it would be in the store for pickup on the 27th of June. I was in the area of the store today (June 27th) and decided to drop in and see if my wheelbarrow was there. No one could find my wheelbarrow. They looked all over the place and finally someone came up front with a clipboard with the order information just to find out no one had even called in my order. My God, what kind of a place does business like this? The person I talked to said he would call in the order tomorrow. I told them that I wanted them to put a rush order on it. He said he would try but couldnt guarantee it. Obviously, I was very disappointed with Ace Hardware. I should have just gotten a refund and went on over to Home Depot. I am still in disbelief
