My girlfriend bought me sushi making classes for my birthday as a surprise. The class was only 5 people which was really nice we were able to ask any questions we had and get any help that we needed to learn to make sushi.The chef that was teaching us was incredibly nice and attentive and kept a close eye on how we were doing. If we were doing anything incorrectly she would quickly stop us and show us the correct way to do it.After the class I decided to look at the chef knives. The staff there was knowledgeable had slot of patience with me as I tried many knives out before picking the right one. They helped me pick out a knife that Obama very happy with and have used a lot since then.

Just recently took a cooking class with at Sur la Table with Chef Post, and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! I would definitely take another class with him; very funny and smart. He makes you feel comfortable while cooking an exquisite meal, and makes it look so easy! The kitchen in which you learn in is very clean and kept. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun date night or girls night out! Sur la table even have classes for kids!

We did a couples night cooking class on NYE for our December birthdays. Chef Terri, who led the class was great! The menu we cooked up included horseradish crusted beef tenderloin, wild mushroom and green bean gratin and winter greens and endive salad with champagne vinaigrette. As a sweet finish, we made mousse au chocolate with a vanilla whipped cream as a topping! Looking forward to our next cooking class!

GREAT customer service. Always great sales going on and the staff is friendly. I want to take a cooking class here but I need to sit down and carve the time out. I love the selection they have available, I dont think things are overpriced, the staff is always welcoming and friendly and quick to help. Great establishment, will revisit often

We gave my mother a cooking class as part of her Christmas gift. We enjoyed making (and eating) scallops, couscous and carrots. Chef Jerzy was informative and entertaining. Plus, we got 10% off anything we wanted to purchase in the store that evening. Plan accordingly!

The going out of business sale is a a crock. The prices on line are 1/3 of what they are charging in store- even with the discount- very disappointing .

We were very disappointed that they would not let us bring in wine. my children bought this for us for Christmas. we all were really looking forward to relax, have some wine and make dinner together. my son asked when he made the reservations and they said it was fine. when we arrived they told us we could not, that we would have to drink it out in our cars between courses. REALLY!!!! if they had told us ahead of time we would not have booked it. poor business if you ask me. whats a shame is everything else including our chef Amanda was great.

Visited this store on 12/20/19 and the customer service I received from the workers made me feel very uncomfortable. I am a black woman and as soon as I entered the store two of the workers looked at me as if I wasn’t allowed in the store. The store was filled with white people and not one sales person attempted to greet me and ask if I needed any assistance. Usually when a sales person sees a customer - enters the store, they would at least say, “hello how can I help you or hello someone will be right with you.”... I came to this store to purchase a Raw Cast Iron Pan. I made the purchase because I really wanted the pan for the holiday, but i was contemplating on returning it because of the poor customer service I had received. These people really made me feel bad as if I was a thief, with their “stares and unwelcome energy”. I will not recommend any of my friends or family to visit or purchase anything from this store.
