I went before opening hours and Vic welcome us we a big smile and told us that we can come in even that they werent open. At that instant, I noticed his amazing customer service skills. Then Maria walked to us, and offered something to bring, took our order and the stuffed cinnamon French toast was exquisite! The coffee. Overall a very nice place to eat!
My friend & I are regulars at this diner. The service is really good, the food is out of this world & our server is always so pleasant. She goes above & beyond & also runs the register as well as other tasks...thank u, from Lisa & Stuart.
Typical diner food so it was good, but nothing to really rant and rave about. The inside definitely needs to be redone with how faded everything is, but if you only care about getting pretty good food at a decent price than its not a bad choice.
Order Turkey/bacon club. No bacon on the sandwich and when I told the waitress she wouldnt take it back to make it right. Process meat not real turkey and soggy. Banpancakes pancakes were a joke.Save your money and go someplace
The Marlton Diner is located in Marlton, NJ along NJ Route 70. The place is fairly easy to get to and is in an area where other shopping is available as well (but you need to drive to those other places from there). My visit here was on October 6, 2019.We came in around 10 am that morning. It was a Sunday, so it wasnt surprising that the place would already be busy at that hour. Once we came in and were greeted, we were immediately seated. We took some time to look over the menu. Since it was breakfast time, we were only given a breakfast menu. After about ten minutes, we were about to leave since in that time period, no server came to our table. During that time, the server did have came to our table after two other tables seated after us were served. It was at that time as we were getting ready to leave that a server finally came to the table, so then we decided to ride it out. Since it took so long for the server to come to our table, we were already ready to order. I went with the Breakfast # 4, which is French Toast with a choice of meat. I went with crispy bacon as the meat. A drink is already included in this meal as well. My mom went with the Breakfast # 2, which is two eggs to your liking, including a meat, home fries, buttered toast, and a drink. It would take almost 20 minutes for the meals to come to the table after ordering. I knew the place was busy at the time, but that is a pretty long wait. The food looked good when it did come, but in some cases, looks can be deceiving. Once we got started, one of the things I noticed was that our orders were probably sitting a while before coming to the table, as when I tried some of the eggs and bacon, they were only lukewarm at best. This was the case for both of us. We tried several times to get the attention of our server, or any server for that matter, about that. The one we had was so busy having conversation with a larger table next to us. Even calling for him to come went unanswered. In the end, we could not get any server to come over to the table. We just ended up having what was originally given.Conveniently, he finally came back to our table after we were done. Not once did he even ask how everything was. We did ask for the check and we were about to tell him about the issues, but he had already run off. About 10 to 15 minutes after that, he finally came back to the table, but no check. It took another five minutes or so for him to come back with the check.Overall, this was not a great experience. The first issue was the overall service, or lack thereof, from our server. It seems like he was more distracted with other tables, and possibly some of his regulars. The next issue was that the food didnt come out hot like it shouldve been. I do think in the end that they were severely understaffed for the amount of visitors there that morning. There are so many other diners available in this diner oasis that is in southern New Jersey. I would suggest looking at other diners in the area. I would be going to a different diner if and when my travels bring me back to the area.
It could be really good, but it just isnt. The food looks great when it comes out, but when you start to dig in, it is cold, bland, and not that enjoyable. Even the coffee is a hit or miss as well! The one good thing is that the service here is great and the waiters/waitresses do a great job.
Please shut down and revamp EVERYTHING! You dont have enough staff, food is not good, and to be honest, this place looks like it needs a deep cleaning. Maybe instead of putting signs up saying due to covid, were short staff, sorry for the wait; hire the correct number of employees to operate this diner properly.
This place had the most vile food I have ever tasted, the pancakes were gritty and had a starge after taste and when I order 3 eggs over easy one slipped of the place and they never replaced the order... the waitress was more worried about her tip more then the quality of the food...
The staff was super accommodating with our large group. They seemed to be understaffed with one cook so please be patient when ordering.
When waiting for an oil change grab a quick bite to eat. Marlton Dinner can sometimes be a hit or miss with some menu items however the Chicken Parm was really good. The service has always been excellent and friendly. A few times now I have brought my cars to Pepboys to get repaired and or oil changes and Marlton Dinner is a nice place to kill some time and grab a quick bite to eat.
My mom and I found this diner and we thought It was gonna be good. Turns out it was not. I got the chicken and waffles and it was pretty bad. Overcooked on the waffles. Even one of the waitresses dropped 3 plates of food today. So dont come in here
Good food, great service. The waitress even brought out a cut banana for my son to keep him occupied while we enjoyed our meal.Additionally, kids meals are very generous in portion size.
I got food poisoning this past Sunday. from ketchup, it looked normal until I tried it and it was disgusting turns out it’s been there long enough where it had mold in it definitely won’t be back after this.
Great food great service Well definitely be going back
Its not very clean. Dusty and the salt shaker is gunky. The staff is really nice but the food was cold. This was our first time. I ordered huevos rancheros, there is no picture. There are different versions of huevos rancheros but this one comes with 2 crunchy tacos refried beans, salsa, cheese and avocado. Very small for 10 dollars. I was expecting more for that price. The food was cold, not even warm. But we had plenty of coffee. Its very artsy inside but first impression on the food was not good.
This place is an absolute abomination. Food was disgusting, service was subpar and the atmosphere didn’t exist. The lights were off or burned out which made awkward! To top everything off, there was a service fee added onto our bill when we paid with our credit or debit card which was not posted anywhere. STAY AWAY! The establishment is empty on a Saturday morning for a reason!
Food was good. Service was great!
Place has gone down hill. Used to be good food and service. Now only good service. Theyre blaming it on Covid-19, but other diners do not seem to have a problem. Also, the waitress told me the owner is not letting them hire additional help.
First time trying this diner. Server was nice, but food was slow to come out. My omelette was ok but the french fries were cold and hard, honestly the worst fries I can ever remember being served. The best thing we ordered was the pumpkin pancakes. Not sure why you would choose this place when there are so many other solid diners in the area.
I hate to be one to write a bad review but my experience today was awful. Our waitress/servics was fine! But my food was inedible. My lox was warm and literally looked rancid I probably wouldve got food poisoning if I ate it! Please save your time and money going here there was a reason no one was in the restaurant on a Saturday morning.
Horrible service and cold food. I remember when this place was the best around, what happened?Hash browns were under cooked, I sent them back only to receive a nasty look from the waitress.Toast was not exactly toast, more like warm bread. There are other options. Hopefully management reads this.
The waitress was great .She was working alone but her service was excellent. The food was good as well.
Great service, great prices & great food
Very good food and friendly staff.
Never go here. Its dirty, run down, and the ppl are not nice. Who knows how the food is. The wait will have you walking out before you get food. And why is there a wait? Who knows. 3 ppl in the entire place.
Outdoor dining was adequate. We ordered breakfast and lunch items. The meals were a mixed bag as the eggs and hash browns were terrific but the whipped butter had a chemical taste and the iced coffee had an off taste. The service staff was excellent in replacing the items and were very attentive to all our needs. Hamburgers and french fries were very tasty.
So sorry as this place used to be good. The food took 1/2 hr. to arrive and there was only one another party on premises. Under staffed and we were EXTREMELY underwhelmed by the food. No seasoning on some, over seasoned elsewhere. Chicken was tough and bacon very fatty. Fries were sopping with grease. Praying they turn around but we wont be returning.
Great staff, great prices, good times!
Got what was sold as french onion soup. However, it appeared as though they just tossed everything in a pot of hot water and let it soak there. Long enough to let the cheese re-harden before giving it to us.Had to complain for a while before they would even refund us but only in the form of a gift card. Which will almost certainly not be used. Also, the soda was flat.
I took my granddaughter for breakfast yesterday and I was very disappointed. I ordered scramble eggs with bacon, the eggs were dry and the bacon tasted like there was salt poured on them I took one bite and spit it in my napkin. My granddaughter had gotten the chocolate chip pancakes and she said they were very dry . The place was not busy at all . This place use to be a great diner but I was very disappointed.
Food is really good like going
Diner is good food tasty good friendly service it says no dine in but they are open for inside dining would recommend trying this place out
The place is dirty... flies on the window sill. Soup was cold, and we asked the server to heat up the soup and when she brought it back out it was still cold. Strawberry and pineapple salad was a disappointment... they use canned pineapples not fresh pineapples. Even the packaged crackers were stale which means they served us old crackers. Later that evening I got sick with food poisoning. Worst diner I’ve ever been to! Beware!
Absolutely horrible food!!! Just awful!I wish I had read the reviews for the place before going! The waitress was an absolute sweetheart and understood when we said the food was horrendous! She gave us our money back because we could not eat it. She said all she gets are complaints.I honestly dont understand how the place is in business! Not to mention it was filthy! Seats and windowsills were so dirty!
Always great food and nice people. Love their breakfast options. Service is good. Knowledgeable wait staff. Their corned beef hash is out of this world!
Worst food we’ve ever had. The two waitresses on staff were floating and helping in the kitchen. The fries were greasy and cooked in old oil. The entire diner was empty when we came here for lunch and we still waited a half hour for our food, which was inedible. This place used to be decent, but it has really gone downhill. We definitely will not won’t be back again. Unfortunately, it seems the COVID pandemic has hit this place hard. Very sad.
Food was ight. I got a ruben and it was good. I asked for ketchup for my fries, it came in a little carry case, which could cover about 26 fries, and out of 26 fries maybe 7 double dips. The best part was the bathroom. Cleanest bathroom on highway 70. If covid 19 will ever be defeated, its in this bathroom. Mr Clean has met his match. Great food, awesome ketchup suitcase, and super clean bathroom......keep up the good work tigers!
Thus place is super unsanitary and there’s roaches everywhere.
Big portions for breakfast and delicious! Friendly service.
Our server was excellent! Kept the coffee topped off, available but not intrusive. We both had omelettes. Large portions of tasty food at reasonable prices. All the things you look for in a great diner! Try the Irish omelette!
If I could give a half of star I would. Food was absolutely atrocious. Tables looked like they havent been cleaned in 25 years..Place is a prime example of a breeding ground for the coronavirus #sickening
Nice place to eat however the portions are getting smaller and the quality of food just hasn’t been the same recently.
This place was really good once. There is a bunch of things going wrong here. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Food was surprisingly extremely good. My server was new, but listened to every detail, and checked on us throughout our stay. We ordered breakfast at dinner time, it took a very reasonable time, there was not a long wait and it seemed to be a little busy this evening. Our total time in and out was only 50 minutes. Attentive, great food, overall great experience. Very happy and pleased.
Just ate here with my family this past Sunday, during the afternoon. There wasnt too many people eating at the time, which (I assume) was to be expected, as it is BBQ season. Service around that time was a bit slow, also probably due to it being a Sunday evening. We ordered the calamari appetizer to start. It was cooked perfectly! Crunchy on the outside, yet tender (not rubbery) on the inside. For my meal, I ordered Nikkos Cheese Steak, which was a cheesesteak topped with Cheez Whiz, provolone, and onions. It too was perfect, juicy and melty cheese all coming together to make a solid sandwich!Weve been coming here as local customers for many years, and well keep on coming!
Our Greek omelet home fries was perfectly cooked. When in area again definitely will visit again. The 3 ppl staff was very personable
I like very much recommended
Been to one been to them all
Seating great. Had to wait for wait staff. The wait for the meal was way to long. I dont know if they didnt have wait staff or if the problem was in the kitchen. The food was good. Too long a wait for it.
Havent been there in years, We had a coupon for buy one get free M-F 3-6pm. I had a NY strip steak, soup, salad, onion rings, mushrooms caps, baked potato, coleslaw and a basket of hot fresh rolls (cheese bread, regular rolls and cornbread.) My guest had salmon dinner with similar sides both were very good. With the discount our bill for both meals was $25.00 plus tip. And our waitress was a sweetheart. We really enjoyed it.
Decent food and a VERY friendly staff. Menu is Lengthy and diverse. Fries are good. Grilled chicken sandwich is HUGE and a great value, especially in Marlton area. Open 24 hours, very convenient.Delivery is priceless when I’m not in the mood to leave apartment.
Decent but not spectacular food, wildly overpriced compared to other restaurants. Was seated quickly and food came out quickly. However, after our food came out the waitress disappeared. We couldnt get any refills for awhile, or a side order I was hoping to add. Bacon was kinda sad and floppy, but tasted good.Id be willing to come back another time and try again, but if I come back again and experience the same thing I can easily say I would _not_ recommend this place.
Great people, great service, and great food! Highly recommended!
I havent been to Marlton Diner in about 2 years or more. Menu and inside were completely redone. Great menu, and our server was awesome. Will definitely return when Im in town! Keep up the good work!
Never was here before, but I definitely want to go back. The meatloaf was delicious. Ive had some pretty nasty meatloaf and this was far superior. The French onion soup was also good. The dinner is an older diner, but the inside is bright and colorful with playful colors throughout. It is a visually happy place. I also loved the music playing overhead. It was warm and melodic, some contemporary, all in a ballad style. Very pleasant listening. I ordered a mini meal, but couldnt rest it all, so it came home with me. Ill enjoy that tomorrow.
Delicious food. My burger was awesome. Fun atmosphere. A neat find on my way to Atlantic City
The two mangers Leanne and Kayla are so sweet and helpful!!! I’ve never worked with such attentive people before. I was trying to plan a little party for my daughter and they did everything for me. Their freak shakes were amazing and my daughter and all her friends LOVED them!!!!! My son wants to have his birthday party there next. So excited for the next one!!!!
BEST DINER IN THE AREA! Ive gone to many different diners over the years and the Marlton Diner is, by far, the best one I have been to. Not only is the staff extremely friendly and welcoming, but the food is delicious and very reasonably priced! I would recommend this diner to anyone! No matter what youre in the mood for, this place has it!
Probably the worst place Ive ever eaten. Shouldve known better by the empty parking lot. Waitor was on his phone the whole time. I asked him if he was going to write down our orders he said no he got it..all of our orders were wrong. Mac n cheese had some beady/crunching in each bite and no it wasnt bread crumbs. Food was absolutely tastless we complained chef said he doesnt used seasoning!! We were charged for the wrong meals and it wouldnt be so bad if food was decent but literally no flavor. We ordered omelets and got plain scrambled eggs. Everything drenched in butter. Happy I used a Groupon and didnt pay full price. When I went to pay the server was on his phone and gave me this blank stare had the nerve to tell me he didnt want to be rude to his friend he was on the phone with!! . HORRIFIC SERVICE AND DISGUSTING FOOD
Excellent location, customer service was top notch and food was excellent. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious. Our hostess and waitress were beyond friendly and informative, we are moving to Marlton and will return for more meals!
Food was good. The wait was long and the waitress seemed like she had too many tables. Took a while to get the check but the staff was very nice!
Over all very nice place. But I was very disappointed in the fact that a 24 hour dinner was refusing to make Chicken Parmesan at 12:30 in the afternoon. No other diner, especially any 24 hour diners, I have ever been to has refused to cook a menu item during except for during certain hours. It wasnt that they were out of it, it was just way to early. That starts a 2pm. My waitress was nice though and it obviously isnt her fault the diner had this policy. The only thing I didnt like is she seemed to try and rush me out the door in an effort to get new customers and more tips (its black Friday so its busy). I understand her income is mostly tips, but its still rude to push a person to leave when they havent even been there an hour and was still eating. I also didnt like that I was sat at a table with peeling plastic and burn stains on the plastic. But that has nothing to do with the food itself, which was, for the most part, pretty good. Have I been to better diners? Yes. But overall Marlton diner is pretty decent.
Great service by all. You feel invited and treated right by all. Carol is our favorite but everyone is fantastic! Food is delicious and portions are large!
How do I explain this place? It’s unexplainable. I just love it. I come here for dessert and pretty much all my dinners. Adam is my server every single time! I love love love this place! I don’t even go home for dinner!! Life, love, Marlton Diner 📸📸📸🤬🤬🤬🤬😅😅❤️❤️🙃✨🙃🤷🏼♀️🥰😉🙃💁🏼♀️😇
Great diner with great service. We had a new waitress, about 2 weeks in, had previously been a teacher. Just a lovely young lady. Go and get her as your waitress. Black hair in a ponytail, black thin rim glasses. I forgot her first, but we left her a nice tip.
Good waitress.
Great french fries and excellent service. The rest of the food is exactly as you would expect from a diner. The expansive menu makes it the perfect place to take my family. Everyone can find something that they are in the mood for and walk away satisfied and with full bellies.
There was a huge argument between the staff. The cops were called and Im pretty sure someone was fired. On top of that, the burger my husband ordered was tasteless, messy and inedible. Spaghetti was mediocre, even by diner standards. Fries were pretty good and so was the chicken parm.Would not recommend going here. Place has seriously gone downhill.
Waited over 40 minutes for a sad cheesesteak and a grilled cheese. Told the server we needed to go quickly as we had concert tickets. The place wasnt busy so it shouldnt have been a problem. Not the first bad meal there either, but it is the last. The table next to us had to send their seafood dish back for being undercooked. Its a mess.
First time experience and will never return. manager is definitely a troubled woman and doesn’t seem to do her job. she was very nasty while i was checking out with my 3 year old daughter and my daughter was running around near the candy and grabbed one and manager told her to put the candy down! who is she to say that NEVER WILL RETURN!
I want to love the Marlton Diner. I have been here many times but over the years this diner has really slipped. The food is sub par... even breakfast. The coffee is served in baby mugs, tiny tiny. Refills are slow. My server was M.I.A. and the place was empty. My omelette had RAW onions. RAW... Which did not concern the manager. I was asked if I requested that the onions be cooked.I love that Marton has a 24 hour diner. I hope they improve their menu, kitchen and service. I will return at some point and update my review if things improve.
The food was good and the service was excellent. Prices are reasonable, especially the kids menu. Walking into this diner from route 70 was a bit of a surprise. It looks almost old-fashioned, in a good way. There is counter seating with chairs with back support and retro looking decor, especially on the walls. I would give it 4.5 stars but I cant go down as low as 4 so Ill make it a full 5-star review.
This place is incredible! definitely the best shake I’ve ever had and probably the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had! Also shout out to the guy that served us, Mike for being the chillest dude ever! Best service and gave us loads of great Ideas!!!
Good diner food in a fun atmosphere. Everything was cooked properly and arrived quickly. The service was very warm and friendly.
Good food and good service. Mozzarella sticks were great and the Reuben was stacked with meat. A couple of things however:1. No soups for the night menu. Weird.2. Tries to be way too fancy and misses the diner feel3. Was FREEZING. no joke.
Very good overall from a taste perspective. Atmosphere nice and the staff was friendly. The food I had was good overall and worth eating.4 out of 5 is great, I just have had better so it takes a really great dish to get me to 5 ...But again still very good. They apparently sell a shake that looks nice is pics but is $14.95 each....
Sharon was a wonderful waitress! She was attentive and charming. The food was good solid American food. The portions were generous. The decor was updated and cheerful. I highly recommend the Marlton Diner!
I was less than impressed with the Marlton Diner. It might have just been a bad night or something like that but I really dont think Ill be going back. Dirty tables everywhere, of the 2 people on the floor, one the host seemed to have wanted to be anywhere else but there. The waiter was fine. The food was unimpressive. But cleanliness is very important anywhere you go to eat.
It was ok food could of been better but service was great
Very good food, so good the menu doesnt do justice to what actually comes out. The old school diner vibe was really great. Im not sure if the rip in the fabric in our booth was on purpose but it was there. Could just be due to being at a great restaurant and people sitting there for a while now. Even the bathrooms were super old school cool. I had high expectations of the food not the bathrooms given the provinance but they were easily exceeded.
Spinach over cooked, fresh delicate leafy spinach cooked into a stringy mush. Huge crab cake mostly breading with stringy crab, definaty not lump. Waitress was super friendly atmosphere bright and cheery. To top it all off waitress added my bill up wrong I was over charged 10 bucks, however I didnt notice until I was on the road. One star upgraded to two star for friendly hostess and waitress.
Love going here for brunch on Sunday. The waiters are excellent. Food takes awhile too get to the table but youre never rushed, even when you finish and just sit and talk. Food is good diner did. Eggs are cooked perfect no matter what store you want. Toast is never burned with just the right amount of butter. Fruit is fresh and veggies are too.
Im from Jersey but live in Florida now. Miss NJ diners. This place certainly did the trick. Awesome food, great diner style atmosphere and service. Loved it!
