Fantastic! I will only have these mechanics work on my boat. I have never had a boat work so well in my life after Dockside worked on my boat. The price was very much lower than I expected. I have owned many boats throughout my 40 years of boating, I have experienced many mechanics. Hands down these guys are the best. I had to wait 6 weeks, but thats what happens when mechanics are good, everyone wants them.

Do not go here! Worst experience I’ve had with any mechanic ever. I had a 25 horse Johnson and it was slipping out of gear. So I took it in and they said they fixed it. Paid them and then took it out the next day only to immediately find out it wasn’t fixed because it happened right away. So I took it back to dockside. Then they told me that they could see the problem and would order the part to fix it, however it may take a little while to find one. I was alright with this. Then THREE months go by without hearing anything.So I call them asking if they have any word on the part. Dockside then told me they couldn’t get the part anymore. I thought okay whatever I’ll just go pick up the boat take it to a different mechanic. I get there and my boat was filled with water because one of there workers put the plug in and left it. And even worse my boat motor was still tore apart with the whole lower unit in parts outside in the rain. So I ask them to put it back together any they refused. What a joke. They took my fishing time and money only to flood my boat and take apart my engine.

I hit something submerged in the water. Bent the prop shaft. Days away from a tournament. They repaired the lower unit and had me running in time to make it. Job well done.

I brought in a Johnson motor that had sat for a couple years to have the carbs cleaned. They cleaned the carbs and told me the motor doesnt run, it will start then when you move the throttle it dies. Told me that the piston may of scored the head and estimated a 2500 dollar rebuild. I paid 150 bucks and when I grabbed the boat the entire intake for the carbs was disassembled and on the floor of the boat. My gas line from the tank to the motor was gone completely. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF I fixed the motor in 20 mins, the throttle arm on the control was not in the right spot and it was obvious when it wasnt on top of its old wear marks. They dont care about the little people, they took one look at a 23 yr old and said nope he doesnt have the high dollar job for us. Im actually a successful electrician and could of afforded the rebuild but after being treated like that I will never deal with this company again. Btw my motor and boat are awesome now thanks to me working on it on my Saturday off when I should of been on the water.
