Called/texted at least 4x trying to see where they stood with getting me a loan on a car I was trying to buy. No one ever returned my calls despite my attempts over the course of 2 months. By far worst customer service if they cant return phone calls/texts to someone so desperately trying to purchase a reliable vehicle for their family before Winter comes. I also find it sad they are having people that are related to their staff leaving top reviews to make their business look like it has a higher rating... Stop being a fraud. Save your time and go somewhere else.
I had an oil change done at Fox Marquette. They had a valet service pick up my vehicle at my work, and drop it back off which was very convenient. I received several text messages with updates. I appreciate the electronic communication. It was seamless. I was able to view and accept the services and pay on my phone.

The service advisor was friendly, attentive, kept us informed regarding the timeframe to complete our service, and closed out the bill quickly so we could get on our way. He even came back and offered us refreshments while we were waiting. It was obvious he had taken the time to look up our vehicles history and was knowledgable of our extended warranty and pointed out to us what future services we should start thinking of scheduling according to mileage, etc. We were very impressed; he made us feel like we were important and appreciated our business.

DONT EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM CHRIS IS SALES HE IS A CROOK AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AT ALL AND JUST WANTS TO MAKE MONEY OFF YOU. EVEN IF IT MEANS SCREWING THE CUSTOMERS OVER. We bought 2 vehicles from fox the same day. And we have had nothing but problems with both of them. And then chris wouldnt authorize mine to be fixed even tho it was 4 months after i just bought a $22,000 truck. On the other hand i do have to say whitney in the service department was very helpful and actually cared about the customers. Very accommodating but as far as purchasing a vehicle from fox dont trust a word they say exspecially chris the sales manager !!!!

I brought my 17 year old vehicle in for an oil change it went as expected. They also gave it a very thorough combing over. They found on my trans (I just had replaced at different shop) had some major issues going on. That was huge in itself. Then that week I had some electrical hiccups start happening. This was on a Saturday so no mechanics were on but Becky immediately set me up with a good almost new loaner (no charge) and an appointment first thing Monday. I have been to Fox Marquette twice in the past 3 months for different issues. I have an older silverado with high mileage, so it is expected. Becky with the service department has been consistently helpful, kind, and makes arrangements for me to get back on the road fast. Yall are awesome.

I have a 2019 equinox that has Michelin premier xlt tires . The car has 25000 miles on it and the 60000 mle rated tires are down to 3/32 needing to be replaced. Gm is offering Michelin primacy your all season tires for which they expect me to pay 42 o/o. The cost for these 4 tires are $1045.20 ( $261.30 each). I checked with Costco and the exact same tire cost $201.99 ea plus a instant rebate of $150.00. why should they over charge like this for providing tires that under preform. ( By the way this is not a isolated problem. The internet is filled with posts on this issue. And gm has a service bulletin #19-NA-078 about this issue. It covers GM cars, Buick Envision, Cadillac XT5, Chevy Equinox, Chevy Blazer, GMC Acadia, and GMC Terrain years 2017 -2020. GM TIME TO STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT FAIRLY.
Expensive maintenance and it takes them forever to locate the problem so you have to pay for their poor investigative skills. They offered me like nothing for my trade in and then insulted me further by refusing to consider an offer I placed on a vehicle which was 4% less than asking price without even negotiating with me at all. I probably would have eventually paid close to full price but now I am buying through another dealer.
Austin and the entire service team was fantastic. We were travelling from down state and had a flat tire that was unable to be repaired and their team worked hand in hand with our hometown dealership to ensure the tire was located and paid for under our insurance. The team provided another vehicle while we were waiting on the replacement tire and got us back on the road in line with our initial schedule. I highly recommend this dealership.
Terrible salesmanship take your money else where travel the little bit north to Neguanee. Called on a truck they had in the lot they said it would be there, I traveled 3 hours to look at it and the sales team couldn’t find it. They then made no effort to help me look at any other trucks.
While vacationing in the area, I experienced some unexpected car issues and pulled in to the service lot at 5:00p.m. on a Friday. I knew it was going to be a long shot to find service, but my car was shaking an sputtering, and I knew I wouldnt make it back to Lansing. James took the time to patiently ask questions and tried to diagnose the problem even though the engine light had not come on. He realized that I was three quarts low on oil even though I wasnt due for an oil change and didnt have a leak. He told me to check oil on my way down state and to top it off as necessary. His kindness was such a blessing!Later that night, the engine light came on. I went to AutoZone where their diagnostic test indicated I had a bad solenoid. I emailed James to ask about the remote possibility of getting back into the shop on Saturday morning to have the techs fix the problem. Long story short - I went back to the service center on Saturday morning (without an appointment), and I know Mike thought I was crazy when I tapped on the door at 8:45! Thankfully, they got me in and fixed my car right in the nick of time so I could still back out of the extended hotel reservation that I had booked in the event I was going to be stuck in Marquette over the weekend. Fox Chevrolet ROCKS!!! Thank you so much! I made it home safely because of you!

After owning several Hondas (that I loved) but having to deal with the service at the local dealer for warranty (which was horrible) I purchased a 2019 Chevy Equinox from your former dealership (Frei). While I have had a few problems, many intermittent, similar to my latest Honda, the service experience has been anything but similar. While the Honda dealership would make no effort whatsoever to diagnose any problem they could not replicate, Fox Motors came through in stellar fashion. They made every effort to diagnose and correct the issues, no matter if it was not occurring at the time. Their efforts have corrected my issues on the first visit and left me a very satisfied Fox Chevy customer.While I have dealt with a few of your service advisors, and all have been excellent, my recent experience with Whitney Jensen has been outstanding. She has been polite, knowledgeable, communicated with me via emails and texts throughout my service call and seemed to have my satisfaction as her final goal. She definitely has succeeded with that. She is an employee you can be proud of.When it comes time for my next vehicle purchase, your dealership, because of your excellent service, will absolutely be on the top of my shopping list!

My motorhome broke down while vacationing at Picture Rocks. No one was able to look at it for at least a week. Fox got me in and had us back on the road the next day. Their excellent service saved our vacation.
Went there to look at a vehicle and we were finally greeted by a sales lady and at first appearance it was like we interrupted them. It was not apparent that anybody wanted to make a deal at first impression and even if we did I was not going to buy anyway. I will drive down to Wisconsin to the Chevy dealer there where I have an approval now and buy from them because their service even over the phone is excellent. When I was selling cars even if I did not make a deal I would try to get future business they did not even seem to want any of my business in the future I do not recommend this dealership.

This place provides the best service. We would have been stranded in Marquette, MI because of a wheel bearing. The people were great in the service department and offered to stay late on a Saturday and fix it even with it being covered under warranty. I would highly recommend this place. My husband said we would even drive here to buy our next vehicle because of the great service they provided.We purchased a Chevy Traverse from Frei and the sales person Max was great. We did have one issue with the vehicle dash making load noises in the dash area when going over bumps during cold weather (below 10 degrees). I had my local dealership look at it and the next time they told me it was just cold weather and they could do anything. I decided to call Frei and they were so nice and drove a rental car down to me in Manistique and fixed my vehicle in Marquette and brought the car back to me. Tim from service was great and he kept me updated on the issue and he agreed it was an issue when the local dealership could not find any problems. So far the noise seems to be gone and the issue is resolved. I highly recommend Frei sales and service. They go above and beyond!

I didnt work there but I know someone who did. The owner is the worst. He is mean, the work environment is terrible, him and his other managers literally YELL at their guys and theyre only getting paid $9 an hr. I heard that around 10 of the employees quit all around the same time including my buddy. The employees are pretty nice for the most part but If you want to support a healthy work environment dont go here!
Had oil change, tire rotation, interior cleaning & refastened my mud flaps. excellent service. I was kept total informed by Maggi Chapin she did an excellent job. Also let me know when I need new tires. I will be purchasing my tires from Frei in a few months.
Steven was very helpful and courteous in resolving a serious damaged tire situation. He worked with me to obtain a replacement within a very limited period of time. I was in the process of moving and needed the car for transportation. His follow up was appreciated to make sure I was totally satisfied.

Review is based on poor customer service. Leased a Chevy Traverse with entertainment system. Frei never went through it with us, and we were frustrated with it because it was so hard to use. A year an a half later we find out there should be a remote and headphones. We never got them and went back to ask about them. Frei said theyd look into it and get back to us. Its been months and have heard nothing. We went online and bought a remote, and the system is so much easier to use. We never had an entertainment system, and dont use it that much, so didnt think about it. We found out about the remote when searching for tips on how to connect a gaming system in the back. We take part of the blame in this, but hate it when there is no interest from a dealer in helping us out after they get our money. Go to Escanaba. Weve had much better service there .
Poor salesmanship. I Realize when I bought my car at 28,000 miles, that I was buying it as is. That being said, when a guy puts 14,000 miles on said car he shouldnt be dangerously low on tire tread!! I put 16,000 down on a 32,000 car that they knowingly sold me needing tires. Maybe show some courtesy next time and talk a buyer into 15,000 down with new tires.? All about the sale nothing about the customer. Also got charged 4,000 for an extended warranty, that I find out later has a deductible. Disabled veteran on a fixed income, trying to buy something nice with his retroactive disability check. I dont buy cars all the time. Didnt know I was needing to be careful. They say they are working on it. We shall see. I will change this review if they make things right like they say. I bought my car 4 months ago fyi. Very disappointed

Service was quick and easy
We brought our 2008 HHR in for a lube & oil change and winter tire purchase as well as brake service. The biggest thing that we wanted repaired is the poor ride quality of the vehicle. This had been an ongoing battle for a couple of years. The vehicle was finally diagnosed with both rear springs broken and in need of rear shock replacement.This fix did correct the majority of the poor ride. The lower control arm bushings were found in need of replacement as well, the quote was acceptable to us and the work was started. However during the maintenance procedure a problem developed with the removal of one of the control arm mounting bolts. The resulting solution for this new problem raises the repair cost from $375 to approx. $1000 with the lions share of the bill as labor. As a result of the unfinished repair the current ride quality of the front end of the vehicle is very very poor to the point of the vehicle feeling unsafe to drive. I am sure it is still structurally sound? At this point we are looking at the options and will undoubtedly have to succumb to the extra cost of the repair. We are more than satisfied with the overall service that we have received all things being considered and will have future work done when needed here.
Frei has been good to us for both in purchasing vehicles and service many times. The shuttle service is very useful for saving time.

I am completely disappointed. I had an existing issue with my 2015 Silverado that I advised the dealership on long before the powertrain warranty expired (since June of last year). They failed to address the issue then, until it got so bad I couldnt drive the truck. I ended up paying for an very expensive repair that should have been covered by GM and the dealership (due to their negligence). I even wrote the dealership owner and asked the dealership to go to bat for me. They did not. And to add insult to injury, I was offered a $2000 voucher for a new truck purchase. I dont have the words.

Couldnt pay me to come back. We stopped in to look into trading in our 2010 fully loaded vehicle for a truck or SUV and also looking to lower our current loan. Upon stopping, we noticed two trucks in particular without price tags, one stood out. A gentlemen, who I wont name from Frei, met us outside and when asked our budget said oh yeah Im sure that wouldnt be a problem for this vehicle. He also said we could talk numbers about the second truck as well, compare the two and go from there.So we made an appointment and stopped in the next day to talk with him about our trade in and the overall cost of the truck. First of all, it was WELL out of reach. I mean 10,000 dollars OVER the budget we told him we wanted to stay under. It was also 3 years older than our current vehicle and had nearly double the miles. Which is fine, if thats what they want to sell it for, great..but that just wouldnt work for us. They also low balled our car (offered less than half for what it is listed on NADA and I can assure you our car is VERY well taken care of with no major or even minor flaws) So at that time we said it just wasnt an option and would like to see other vehicles that WOULD fit into our budget. We asked for the price of the other truck and he left it at I dont know I didnt lookI sat there while he continued to go on about the truck and repeatedly told him that although the payments would only be a bit higher I was not okay with almost doubling our current loan. He then went on a huge sales pitch about all the things you can do with a truck instead of a car and completely ignored my every attempt to look into other options. He would not let us look at others, or give us numbers claiming that if we liked this truck, this was the one we needed. After nearly an hour of back and forth we finally left. He has since proceeded to call every day and ask if we want to look at the second truck now or any other options.There is no way I would want to waste more time, feeling unheard and listening to his gimmicks about why we should more than double our loan. How in the world does a company expect you to pay 25,000+ dollars for a vehicle when they wont take the time to listen to what you are looking for and then try to bully you into an even bigger purchase? Just a terrible experience.

The other dealership was closed, but Eric Kuntz helped us with our choice, even going beyond the hours of operation. I hope he gets paid overtime. Previous great experience with Frei, however, this last visit was terrible! Spent several hours there waiting for them to get numbers together on my trade in. First they tried pulling a fast one and quoted me a Z71 model when I stated several times I wanted the LT model. Then, they completely low balled me on my trade in. They looked up what I owed and offered me that amount, when my vehicle was clearly worth much more. I dont think they even looked at my vehicle. They want you to pay the ridiculous sticker prices, but do not want to offer you a fair amount for your trade. I am sick of the crooks out there who take advantage of hard working people! MAKES ME SICK!!!
Over the last 40 years I have purchased over 16 vehicles from Frei. If its a Chevy, then its coming from Frei. Always a pleasure to deal with the folks there.
I dont much care for dealerships, but when we took a used vehicle in for inspection they uncovered a lot of things that no other mechanic in the area covered (in fact, it took about 3 hours!). Their inspections are so thorough they make a lot of used car dealerships in the area uncomfortable, and several sellers actually told us this. They felt the inspections were unfair because they are in contrast to a new vehicle, but lets get real: if you take a care in for an inspection, you should know the true state of the cars condition. These inspections are so extreme likely to nudge you in the direction of a new car, but if you want to know anything and everything that could possibly be wrong with a vehicle, these guys are the way to go. They literally look at everything. Just be prepared for the advice they may give you and understand what your options are as far as the mechanical worthiness of the vehicle you are having inspected. At the end of the day, you will need to be the one to determine the long-term implications of any mechanical flaw they find, and if there is one, they will find it.
