Taking a trip with my family and got a flat. Call them and without hesitation they referred me to another place so I didnt have to wait. The other place could not help me so they graciously took us right away found our tire size and got us back on the road within a hour of calling them. Very professional and reasonable priced would recommend anyone to give support to this place for your tire issues.

Stopped by last minute (at the end of the day) needing a new tire because mine had a screw in it...or so I thought. The guys at McCarthys were awesome and squeezed me in at the end of the day on a Friday. What’s even better is they didn’t try to upsell me on purchasing a new tire, they said they could patch the tire instead, saving me about $100. Thanks for being an honest tire shop and taking care of your customers!

Weve come to McCarthys here and in Winchester a total of 5 times in 4 months only 3 of those were by choice and we will not be returning. This corporation has systemic carelessness and poor workmanship. Its not worth your time or money.1st Martinsburg- chose this location because they could get us in quickly to have snow tires put on the front in December. They said to bring it back the following week so they could double check the torque ... i was highly confused because I had never in my nearly 20 years of driving had a mechanic say that. We had to wait 2 weeks because its our only car and my husband works in Winchester. In that 2 weeks the valve started leaking and the TPMS broke on one of the front tires they had just mounted. First time I attributed it to eh could have been old stuff happens We couldnt afford a new monitor at the time ($80) so they put a basic valve on for free3rd visit Winchester - had back tires mounted and front TPMS replaced. Get the car back 2 days later the TPMS stops working AGAIN. This time on newly mounted back tires..... something doesnt feel like a coincidence any moreThe 4th Winchester visit Ill say is our fault and should have never happened because we should have found a new mechanic. We have the oil changed. Get a voicemail the next day, Thursday (that we unfortunately didnt listen to until Sunday) saying basically hey we think we forgot to put your oil cap back on.... that weekend we had drivien to see family near Pittsburgh.... almost 500 miles round trip without an oil cap.The 5th and last time is to retrieve our oil cap and have them redo the oil change. Goodbye and good riddance.

After shopping around both on and offline, we went with the pros at McCarthy tire. They matched the online discount price on the set I wanted, and beat the installed price of local big shops.Bonus: they also offer free repair services for the life of your new tires.

I have been using McCarthy service for several years and while they are busy, as they have a lot of customers,t its just a matter of scheduling to get quicker service and dependent on what type service your auto needs.They have always treated me well and have guaranteed their work. I have been very pleased with the results and plan to continue to use them.

Have been dealing with them for some time and was happy with their service until yesterday. Bought tires there and only have a bit over 15000 miles on them but they have worn very badly. Had the tires rotated and a front end alignment but the tires were still wearing badly. Right front had threads showing. Went in yesterday hoping to get a replacement and was told that I have to buy new tires so that the current ones can be sent back. Then I have to wait to see if an adjustment, credit or refund would be made be cause they dont warranty the tires, they just sell them!!?? These kinds of things should be disclosed to the customer before tires are purchased, not after there is a problem with them. While I appreciate the fact that they did a front end alignment and didnt charge me, that does not help with the tire problem. The tires are rated for 60,000 miles. We only got a little over 15000 and they have to be replaced. To say we are disappointed with McCarthys is a huge understatement.

I brought my mustang here a few months ago ( mind you its lowered 2 1/2 inches to replace a tire. They replaced my tire great no prob. Today my buddy in his BMW got a leaking tire from valve stem. We drove to this place to remove the valve stem. Service advisor at the counter said nope cars to low mind you my car was low just like his if not lower. Guy said nope cant get them on the lift. Me myself as a service advisor in DC I know the whole story all to well. Why waste an 30-20 min to replace a valve stem when u would charge (if they did it 10-20 bucks) I get it, but bad business. But I understood so I asked to buy a valve stem and just replace it at home since tire doesnt need to come off to replace. Nope dont sell them because they come in a kit? Well me myself as a service advisor know they come in a box of 50 give or take. Thanks for the waste of time guys!

I wouldnt rate this place but had too. Poor customer service because they dont have the time for you. But, when someone they know comes in they bs around and drop the f bomb in every other word. I know its labor day weekend but if you stop in because you have an issue and they wont take the time to even glance at your vehicle but they have the time to stand around and wait to leave....REALLY!!!!!!

They charged me over $500 to splice my brakes on multiple occasions. I talked to another mechanic and he said he would NEVER recommend a brake splice. I feel like the shop should have been honest with me and explained a full replacement as an option (even if that is a service they do not perform). Instead they put a band aid on and allowed me to drive around in dangerous vehicle.

Erinn was great, as were the rest of the crew. Fantastic customer service, highly recommend.

My car broke down in the middle of the night while moving across the country. The tow truck driver suggested these guys. Once they opened for the day, I was in their shop working with them on getting my car back on the road. After a bunch of twists and turns with the problems that were encountered, the owner did exactly what he said he would do and got me back on the road the same day. They may be a little bit of a drive for me now, but I will be taking all of my mechanical needs to them.

Our daughter is in Shepherdstown and we are in wheeling. I get a call from her “Dad one of my tires has a split in the side wall”. I bought a tire here local in wheeling and made the 3.5 hour trip with a matching tire. We did an internet search for a tire shop to change the tire. We came across McCarthy Tire. We got there and I explained the situation needing the tire changed over and balanced. They got me right in and about 15 minutes later we were all mounted and balanced and out the door. Thanks guys much appreciated.

They are good but at there shop you have to be careful when backing up no spotter to help you service good thats why I gave them four stars

Took my car there a while back, and told them that I believed it needed the timing belt replaced. They replaced the timing belt and the car has been leaking oil ever since. Took it back and the mechanic said they found a bolt that wasnt completely tightened. They made a minor adjustment and assured me the problem was corrected. The car still leaks oil, and the manager claims it had nothing to do with the repair they made, but the car had never leaked before. Now they claim I need a valve cover and gasket replaced, but there was no note of the car leaking during the course of the previous repair. Coincidence ?I think not - I think thats why the name changed from Duncan Tire Service 7 years ago to McCarthy Tire Service, the name changed, but the reputation hasnt.

This place lies and will not come out to repair a tractor tire that keeps leaking. They have promised three times and never show up. This is for a repair in Arden, and they know who it is!

I was in to have a scheduled oil change for my Camry. After the oil change the man servicing my car told me that I had two bad wheel bearings and needed new tires. He tried to convince me to get it done there because I was not safe driving on the roads if I didnt. He quoted it for around 1,000$ and showed me *ONLY* that the front right wheel (the wheel on the steering column, obviously it will wiggle!!) was wiggling back and forth (supposed proof that my bearing was shot.) For a week and a half I drove around 10-15 MPH under the speed limit afraid I would rip my wheel off any faster. I took it to a trusted family mechanic to get it replaced and he told me that there was ZERO movement in the bearing and that someone had tried to jipp me. I should not have to worry about being a woman and taking my car to get serviced and have the mechanics try to trick me into purchasing completely unnecessary things. 0/10 stars if possible.

Great service.Have been here several times from an actively leaking brake line, to car wont start, to just replace tires or get an inspection.

Took my truck here and was failed an inspection due to a pin hole yes literally a pin hole of a rust spot.. Also they said the windows were to dark. Then why did you pass ot the year before with the same pin hole rust spot and the same tiny? Seems like everytime I tale ot to this place theres always something new with them.. Also they said it failed because of the serpentine belt?? Really, Ive never seen anyone get under the hood of a vehicle for an inspection.
