Closets by Design did a great job installing my new closet. They helped me design two different closets that turned out perfect. Working with the designer and installer was very easy and they were both professional. I would recommend using Closets by Design to anyone. I had my master closet white builder grade materials removed and installed higher end materials that allows for more of the space to be used and the materials are much nicer. I also had a basement closet designed that turned out great as well. Both installations took about 3 hours and look great!

We had an amazing experience with Closets by Design while re-designing our master bedroom closet. They were responsive, affordable, attentive to detail, thorough in their planning, and fast when it came to the installation day. I cannot say enough good about them!

Master closet designed and installed 15 May. Happy with work except required crown mounding not included with delivered materials. Paid in full with note on receipt to install that item to complete work. 4 calls to them seeking estimated date with no response as of 10 June.Made one last call and got the work scheduled for Friday, 18 June. Installer just left. Another nice job. Changed rating from 2 stars to 3 stars.

Updated Post: From 2 stars to 3 stars. I received a call very quickly from the GM wanting to resolve any issues. He reminded me of the 7 year warranty on the work. I explained that I already installed brackets to try to hold the side walls in place, but would let them know of any additional/unresolved issues.Original Post: A little over 3 years ago, we had Closets by Design install a custom walk-in closet (shelves and racks). Some of the cuts were off especially by the bottom/floor shelves, but it looked decent. Well, the materials and installation are not holding up. Two of the side panels that hold up the clothing racks are bowing so the rods are not staying in place. They did not install brackets on the side panels to keep the panels/rods in place. It was better than we had, but the materials and workmanship have something to be desired.

Terrible customer service, poor workmanship and unprofessional installation. Designer missed several key elements during initial planning which resulted in many headaches throughout the process. Unless you like countless excuses and your projects to take more than 6 months to complete, avoid this company.

Overall, I had a great experience with Closets by Design! My designer Jennifer was very professional and helpful. My installer Nick was amazing, he did an outstanding job on my downstairs closet!

Our designer Chris took a funky shaped walk-in closet built over our garage into an amazing space. She came out to our house twice to get the design we needed and worked on us with the pricing. They also met our request for delivery date. Nick our installer was great - showed up on time, with a mask and completed the job to perfection. We are so happy with our new closet and the service and quality delivered by Closets by Design!

Charged me full amount before finishing the project. Upon questioning now they playing dirty game telling me we didn’t have all parts in stock. And they didn’t informed me before. Now I have to wait couple months to finish the rest of missing items. This is not leaving me any option rather than dispute the charges. So if anyone dealing with this company don’t pay them full until they finish entire project.

I have a fairly small, oddly shaped walk in closet made even smaller because the slope of my roof shortens the height of the back wall. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth paying for a custom closet for the space I had.Christine did an awesome job designing my closet to maximize the space so I could have plenty of room for hanging clothes, enough shoe shelves, and space for an extended shelf on top so I can put some nice fabric bins up top. I love having a place for bins so that I dont have to put everything on display.Andrew was the builder and he was great too. My old house is difficult with uneven walls and floors so he had to make everything slightly different sizes to make a custom fit. It all looks really good.I ended up ordering 3 more shelves for one side so that I have reorganization options whenever I don’t need as much hanging space for clothes. So excited to finally have a great looking closet!

Jeanne was fantastic. Our historical home has some tricky spaces, but, Jeanne made the vision of a vanity come true. It turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier. The whole process was transparent and professional.

Added a custom closet origination unit and it is amazing..The guys worked quickly and were very knowledgeable and friendly.

This place uses a robo call (predictive dialer) service that pesters customers after doing jobs. It’s highly annoying. They do a decent job as far as cabinetry but use razor thin materials similar to what you’d buy at Lowe’s or Walmart. I’m not kidding about the Robo calls, though. They keep calling and calling and soliciting and spoofing phone numbers—Delaware, New York, California etc. It’s obviously a third-party service but it’s highly annoying. This place seems to be desperate for business.. i’ve never worked with a construction or remodeling company that pesters customers with a Robo call service afterwards.st Louis closet company simply sends mail ads or emails. So if you do use this place for Service, I strongly suggest using a burner phone number for your contact..I certainly won’t use their services again because of the solicitations via phone. I have told these people on the phone, “I get it. You’re a third-party call center but I’m not interested anymore and this service back from closets by design.“ I wonder if the owners would like if Their cell phone numbers received loads of calls at night, daytime and so on. Absolutely ridiculous. I would say I’ve received about 12 calls in the last three months from the third-party call center. And I’ve told them again and again and again I’m not interested. The second last call I stated, “I actually live now in a van. I no longer own a home. I’m down on my luck. I’m going to be in a van in a state park… I guess you guys could install cabinets in the van but it’s a rental.” No the female caller apologized and said I’d not be called again. Sure enough the phone rang several weeks later… I told the guy, “ I live actually in a cave now. It has no electricity and has plenty of storage now. I’m actually preparing for the world to end. Do you believe that aliens are among us?“ he said they’d not call again. We’ll see what happens but I’m quite sure the phone will ring again and it will be “closets by design (insert name here)…”

We live 3 hours away at Lake of the Ozark. We had to make some design changes half way through the project. The manager personally drove the second time to help with the design and it turned out perfectly. Installation was don with finish carpentry skills. Done on time, on budget and above expectation. We recently had our master closet designed and installed by Closets by Design. From my first contact with Jeanne to design and plan the closet through the installation, it was a smooth process. Jeanne listened to my “wish list” and made appropriate suggestions. The installers, Nick and his partner (so sorry, I didn’t get his name) arrived precisely on time and were fast and tidy. They cleaned up and were very careful as they carried all the pieces into the bedroom.I highly recommend this company. We felt it was a good value for a great product and I am thrilled with the results.Thank you.

Everything was simple, from ordering to installation. Had a general ideal of what we wanted, but Robin was able to nail down what would work for us. Lois kept us informed about our install date. Paul was an amazing installer!!! He arrived within the specified window and install was done quickly. Made sure everything was installed just the way we wanted it. Answered all of our questions and left the kitchen clean. We will definitely use ClosetsbyDesign if we ever need another closet renovation! Very pleased. Once we get our bi-fold doors, well be set! (If only ClosetsbyDesign offered doors, too!)

Design consultation was easy and they put a package together that was just what we were looking for. Communication and followup were great and kept us informed. SCAM - BEWAREWe purchased a master bedroom closet and kitchen pantry.We had the closet install today and are very disappointed. We didnt realize that they would just be installing IKEA-style furniture at three times the price!We called to cancel the kitchen pantry, and the rep said we are one day outside of the cancellation period so theyre going to keep our $1000 deposit.I guess we own a $2500 master closet now, that would have cost $500 from IKEA.--UPDATE 2/28/2019--The response below Customer satisfaction is our top priority is a lie. I called the number provided and it took 3 days for them to call me back. They cut down IKEA on the phone for quite some time despite me saying I didnt want to hear it (I actually like IKEA as a company, I just dont want to pay CbD prices for IKEA stuff!)A month later we are still battling with them to just get refunded on the project that we will *never* have them do because they are the worst company I have ever worked with!!! They dont care about customer service at all - they just want to trick you into giving them your money using scams like 40% off and free installation but its their normal pricing and their installation is always free.The most frustrating part of this whole thing is that I was really excited to have some nice, built-in, custom storage. Now were out $1000 and it will be quite a while before I can muster the patience to shop around for a new vendor.Every step of the way they havent cared about us as a customer, they just want our money and to enforce an arcane 3-day cancellation clause for my protection. As a business owner myself I can tell you thats BS - you are free and able to refund any customer at any time. There is no legal requirement that they keep my thousand dollars.

Sales rep, Kristen, was good. She was a new employee to the company but was very knowledgable on products and worked very well with us. Quality of the product is also good and the final install was a perfect match to the design. I marked this down and after closet was installed we discovered two areas where the installer (who was very nice and professional by the way) broke through the shelving and thus holes were created. He did not check on this and left our house. We discovered the holes when putting clothes away, called and they did come back and correct. Overall experience was good and do recommend

They did great work! The designer was very professional and made a great design The install was smooth and the finishing results were great!! Only small annoyances such as not getting a time frame for install. I had to call that morning and the gal said she called and left a voicemail, which I did not get or have. And the installer was a smoker. So I felt like my bedroom smelt like smoke for a while after he left. Overall would definitely use them again!

I am 100% awed by my new closet and with Closets by Design. My master closet turned out better than I could have imagined. I give every part of the experience 100% from the designer to the product to the installers... and I do not do this often. (I am a very picky person when hiring anyone both at home and at work). My new closet is organized and I love everything about it, especially the shoe pull-outs. The extra storage room provided by my new closet and the organization provided are worth every penny.

We just built a brand new home and had every single closet and pantry done by Closets by Design. At first we were going to be selective about which closets we were going to choose, but we received an extra savings for doing multiple rooms.... so we just decided to do the entire home. We worked with Robin Christensen as our designer/sales person. She was extremely knowledgeable on the design and careful on the measurements and everything came out just perfect. We especially love our pantry and master bedroom closets. They used high end quality materials and had the most professional installers. A+ to Robin and the whole Closets by Design team... job well done!

I am so happy with my new master closet. Finally, I am organized. The wire shelves are gone. I now have a custom closet that is beyond beautiful. My favorite thing about it is the shoe shelves. I have about 70 pairs of shoes and the designer figured out a way to display all of them. Honestly, I now have at least triple the space to handle all of my clothes, shoes and accessories. The whole process of purchasing the closet was great ... from setting the appointment to meeting with the designer to the installation. Actually, my wire shelves collapsed which prompted me to finally get the closet of my dreams. Wish I would have done it sooner!

We just got out Closet remodeled and we love it. Its a nice size walk in closet and our designer Robin did a wonderful job designing it and utilizing all the space to its capacity. She was great to work with. The installers were good too. I would recommend using them.

I had to wait a couple days before I wrote this review because I was so appalled by the entire situation and I have never been spoken to by a business until this. I called and made an appointment for a consultation on June 10th. I had thought I scheduled an appointment for June 24th however Matthew believed I was scheduling for June 23rd. Regardless, there was an error in scheduling on someones part. I never received a phone call after the 10th confirming an appointment to avoid what occurred the other day. While at work on the 23rd I received a phone call and then a text message from Matthew stating that they were running late. I responded that I had our appointment scheduled for the next day. Instead of trying to fix the situation Matthew continued to go back and forth with me stating that I confirmed the appointment on the 23rd. After a few rounds I was shocked that this company would not just apologize for the confusion and attempt to reschedule. Matthew clearly never makes and error and wanted to be sure that it was known. Obviously they dont need my business and probably dont need yours either. I will be happy to place and order with their competitor who confirmed our appointment a couple days prior, made it to the consultation on time, sent me emails afterwards and even a card thanking me for allowing them into my home. If customer service is an important factor to you when deciding where to spend your money run away. You can read the text messages and decide for yourself. Honestly, I cant wait to see what the response to this. I wonder if they will continue to point fingers?

Love my closet!!!! I want to sit in there and stare at all the possible ways to put stuff. From the consult to the install it was super easy. It was also very easy to stick within my budget. The 40 + extea 15% off and free install is hard to beat!

I agree with Rachel’s comment. Especially reference to IKEA style for 5 times more expensive! We did not get anything from them, because we realized that this is unreal price for the cheap quality materials. There were no wood, nothing. Looked like SCAM
