We love it here! Best sundae ice cream stand in Toledo. Quality and prices match up perfectly. They did have tables before covid, they dont anymore so plan to eat in your car or trunk.

The ice cream is delicious, obviously. The red lights make the building an eyesore though. I heard they used to have blue and white lights and penguin cut outs. I would love to see them bring back that motif.

Great customer service, big portions, and super smooth soft serve. Served in Styrofoam so it stays cold and doesnt melt.Would have been 5 stars, but their peanut butter shake recipe has so much peanut butter that the shake I got wasnt really even cold. It was wonderfully peanut buttery, but it was more like eating whipped peanut butter than drinking a shake. Also, there wasnt anywhere to sit in front of the shop. Maybe because of COVID?

It has changed a lot since last time we were there, maybe last summer. My daughter and I frequented quite a bit. But recently we went and werent even able to eat the chili dogs like we used to. And although she loves her ice cream, she wasnt happy with this ice cream. We were pleased several times in the past but its just not the same! Very displeased. Im sorry but just being honest.

Dole whip is great, love the weekly different flavors. My son lost his tooth this last visit and the young lady was great with water and extra napkins. We always have a pleasant experience.

Small lot and very little seating, but theyve got great ice cream. Love that they have a special little sundae for dogs!

Been there twice and very disappointed. Got a mint chocolate chip shake that tasted disgusting. Cant remember the other item I got but either way it was pretty nasty as well. Definitely wont go back.

Messed up our order but they did fix it. And their mint ice-cream tastes like chemicals. Their hot dogs and pretzels were good though.

Same great soft serve place I remember as a kid growing up here in the 50s - 60.Where I invented the peanut butter milk skake.They just sold you a milkshake back then so I took my own jar of peanut butter and bag it is still on the menu.I should got a patent for it I would be rich. LOL

Go there twice a week at least cause its in walking distance and I cant think of a time they havent messed at least one thing up or forgot something. Im sure its a lot of those girls first jobs so it excusable to an extent but it just gets frustrating. Quality went down and the prices went up with the new owners but its very nostalgic since Ive been going there my whole life. Glad its still there! But consider making the trip to Perrysburg if youve got the time.

I come here at least 2 times a week, and sometimes even more. Every single time that we come here they mess up our order. Like there has not been one time that it was either made with a different kind of ice cream than we asked for, or there are only half of the toppings in it that are listed on the menu for the sundae. I get the same thing every time and it’s always missing at least one thing or the other. I really love how close this place is to my house so we keep going, but I’m really getting tired of spending $10 every time for my order to be wrong. I got the Tropicana tornado today and asked for extra banana in which it only had coconut, the ice cream and literally 3 slices of banana on it. Super disappointing honestly because I have given it so many tries and spent so much money here 😕

It has amazing ice cream and great service. I would recommend it to anyone. I ordered the chocolate milkshake and it has been the best milkshake I have ever had. The employees were friendly and I received my order quickly. I have never ever had a bad experience there.

Great service they accept cash or card the ice cream is great! They have a huge menu! The business hours are long at least on weekends. I love taking the kids and our dog here! Prices are reasonable and great serving sizes

THIEVES.I’d give zero stars if i could, however, google won’t let me :) Stole not one, but TWO original Frozen bubble tea recipes from Balance Pan Asian Grille, i don’t know about you but I’d rather give my money to the honest creative people, rather than the thieves at this place.

I have gone to Penguin Palace since I was a child 30 yrs+. Great icecream, great service served with a smile. I would recommend it to everyone!!

Ok so, I love the community ice cream shops around town, but this time at penguin place, I am slightly disappointed. I got a blue moon sundae, and it was fine at first. (A little less marshmallow sauce than expected) Then in about the middle I find some MINT ice cream, it really put me off. Lastly, teach your employees how to work the candy coating. This is the second time they have messed this up ( once I got a cone with candy coating). This time, I found a SLAB of candy coating and sprinkles. It was gross. So not coming back for a little while. 😩

My wife and I each got a Carmel Royal sundae. They had vanilla ice cream, whip cream, and pecan nuts. The problem was they only had about a tablespoon of Carmel.Wont be going back.

We love the new, updated Penguin Palace. Even though the line was long, it moved quickly. The staff was friendly, and the selection was very good.

I have been coming here since I was young and thats the only reason I keep coming back. The speed of service this summer has been god awful. Not just once or I wouldnt complain. It has been every single time. I waited in line for at least a half hour this visit and there was only a handful of people in front of me.

Great place, in the suburbs of maumee! Well worth it if you have little ones. Very quiet as well!

Horrible experience. Several things.1.) The workers were extremely selfish and non attentive, while also putting the customer last.2.) I sat with my family in the 100 degree heat waiting in line when two St. John’s young men proceeded to the front of the line and talked to a young attractive worker named lily. I sat and waited for 30 minutes. YES. 30 MINUTES. Waiting to order.3.) she then gave the two kids free ice cream while I had to pay. She even had the audacity to ask for a tip.4.) the ice cream was delicious and refreshing after My family and I sat in the heat wave boiling.

Super cute place, have been waiting to check it out, went yesterday and was disappointed. Waiting in the line for 20 min only to be told the line was closed after waiting, after asking the employee at the other line. (they had just served someone from the line before us, and there was no line closed sign, employees walking past constantly). Sister ordered a smores flurry. It was a twist soft serve topped with cinnamon toast crunch cereal. Thats it. No marshmallows, chocolate pieces, nutthin. Very disappointed. Need adults working because they were very inefficient and impolite.
