I brought in a Bissell carpet cleaner I was experiencing an issue with, the gentleman were able to send it off to Bissell and get a replacement or me. Their communication was outstanding, and they set realistic expectations for me from the beginning.

Second Kerby Ive had fixed here. Jay and crew are the best. Machines work like new..would recommend them to everyone.

Took my vacuum in yesterday and was told what the problem was immediately. I was quoted 24-48 hour turn over for the repair, but it was done earlier than that. Very knowledgeable staff and incredibly helpful to me. They even carried my machine to my car when it was done. My Oreck vacuum was not picking up anything. I came into the store to buy bags and asked if he knew why my vacuum might not be working. The nice informative man working said a new brush and belt would improve the performance of the vacuum. He also stated the belt should be changed every 6 months. He was so right - my vacuum was reborn!!! We have two german shepherds and it picked up every hair they shed!!

Jay and Dave spent several hours at our home today installing a retrofit whole house vacuum system. To say the least the install was going to be a challenge in our 2 year old home as we weren’t able to install it during construction. The guys planned out the install meticulously and made sure everything was installed as planned. We are extremely happy with the results. They were able to find creative ways to reach all parts of our home of importance. Very happy to recommend this business and would do business with them in a heartbeat.

After ordering new carpet and learning our Dyson vacuum will void the warranty, we needed a new vacuum. After reading countless reviews of different vacuums, I decided I needed to see the vacuums in person. Jay helped me find the perfect vacuum to meet our needs. Paul is awesome! He really took the time to help me decide was the best choice for my home. We decided on the Miele complete C3 Home Care+ Power line. I was able to try it out in store and he took the time to show me how to work each aspect of the machine, from changing bags and filters to tips on how to make sure I was getting the best cleaning possible. Went there for the first time today for advice on maintenance of a vacuum I purchased 21 years ago...a Simplicity. Best vacuum EVER and never needed any repairs only filters, bags, etc. The owner/manager Jay was most experienced and honest about everything when asking questions. He did not attempt to up sell, instead offered excellent advice which saved me money. They even rent professional grade carpet cleaners at better rates than ANY other place. Hands down the most professional and experienced service I have seen in a long time. Dont waste you valuable time going anywhere else for your vacuum needs. This place is the best.

The customer experience was good, but they sold my mother the filter for a Miele C3 for $50, when it can be had on Amazon in the $20-25 range. Thats a very significant markup.

Brought my vacuum to get fixed. Charged me $80 & a new one was $100. I was never able to use it since the hose kept coming off of the base of the vacuum. I brought it back & they wouldnt fix it. Told me to duct tape it. Three guys were sitting on the computer & it seemed as if they were too busy to be bothered by 2 customers. Very disappointed & I will NOT be back.

My wife and I own a home and were in the market for a new vacuum. Our house had a central vacuum that didnt work particularly well and we owned a Kirby that we thought did fine but was not user friendly. We who have a variety of flooring, as well as two cats and a dog, needed power, versitility, and that extra oomph to combat the fur. We had shopped around for different canister vacuums but never found anything that we felt was worth the money. I was in the Toledo area (we live around Findlay) and drove by Lakes Vacuum so I stopped in. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and they asked what I was looking for. After trying out a couple different machines in their very well presented showroom, I found what I was looking for. I ended up purchasing a Sebo Airbelt D4 canister vacuum. It is an awesome machine and after only a few uses, we filled one of the bags. Mind you, the bags hold a LOT of dirt but thats just how much was getting left behind with our old vacuums. It is very user friendly and has quite a few neat features. Great Lakes offers financing so I was able to make reasonable payments in order to have an incredible vacuum in our home. The central vacuum and Kirby are gone and now other members of my family want Sebos of their own. I highly recommend Great Lakes Vacuum and the Sebo Airbelt. They also have many other brands and models available so youre guaranteed to find exactly what youre looking for. My wife and I are extremely satisfied.Sincerely,Leland McCandless

As a person looking to get a new vacuum since mine is on its last leg, I started doing my diligence for the last month now with the local shops. I find it interesting that a local shop is able to offer 50% off items and still stay in business…so I decided to compare prices. I called them and got their regular price on bags then I called 2 other local shops, what I found at first to be interesting turn out to be disturbing. His prices where 30% higher then the second highest priced bags of the 3 shops!! I also compared the price of the machine (Oreck) and it appears Great Lakes sale price is actually Oreck’s list price! The other 2 shops without me asking informed me of the list price and their sale price. I know this section is for customer reviews, however I believe I qualify since I recently inquired about their products. I’m sure this review will get deleted as I noticed other negative reviews have been removed.In response to your response: Great Lakes I appreciate the response, however when your shop has its list price above Oreck retail and sales price at Oreck retail it just doesn’t settle well with me. My wife and I decided to purchase a Miele from Fix it Shop instead. I’m not sure how you say you quote the lowest prices, as both times I did price comparisons you were the highest. It’s a little unsettling that you think after “a few months” I still have a broken Miele. At the same time you are asking me to remove this review when clearly you are using your response for marketing purposes only, not as a sincere concern to my experience. I’m not sure how speaking to “factory trained vacuum experts” helps with over priced product or that it appears you are shouting (all caps words) your marketing words at me? Last thing, as an older man I’m out of the loop with abbreviations, what is A.S? Google provided me with college degrees.

Not trying to bash this business but just be careful of their pricing. My girlfriend was in the process of getting a new vacuum, was quoted a price I felt to be a little high so we went and bought the same Riccar vacuum from another dealer for almost half.
