This UPS store is excellent. It beats the Post Office anytime! Michael and Pat are extremely professional and courteous. The lines move quickly.! I recommend going to this UPS store if you are in the area of Maywood and need to mail something. I wish I was allowed to mail to a PO Box through UPS

I’m big on reviews so once I read customers experience I decided to come here . Once I arrived I was greeted quickly by Shane. He was so helpful with my questions and package. I had to bring my 4 yr old so I was hoping for fast service which Shane provided -def recommend coming to this location!

This store is under NEW management and the new owner is simply amazing! We used to go to this UPS store just because it was convenient but dread the customer service or lack thereof. Since it has been under the new management we have been in and noticed a totally different customer centric culture! They will efficiently handle your packages, printing laminating, notarizing and more.Welcome to Maywood and we hope you stay awhile!

Very helpful! I shipped something to California from this store, and UPS messed it up and tried return it back here. Scott, who works here, went extremely out of his way to try and reverse this, and when UPS messed up once again, he once again went out of his way and shipped it back to the address I gave him, free of charge. This store is great if you want to ship something UPS, but in terms of actually shipping things (which this store has little to no say in), they arent the greatest.

After store management is change love going to this store. Store is clean and follow social distancing not tok crowded. All employees are helpful and very quick in service.I would like to thanks Michael one of the employee for helping above n beyond. I had amazon return and it was big box of shoes i didnt know that since its big i need to put in another box or wrap as they cant put label on box directly usually before if anything like this happen i had to come back again but this time michael helped me wrap up using bags from ups and it saved me another trip. I love going to this store.

I give up on this store. Even under new management. This is probably the fourth, maybe fifth time I’ve come to the store only to have something go wrong.In this particular case - if you say you’re going to open at a certain time, my suggestion is that you open during those hours, or alter your sign.Additionally, some sort of answering service when someone calls during the times you’re supposed to be open would be nice, rather than a phone that just rings.

I am happy to say its safe to go back in the water at this UPS Store. The new owner and staff are amazing and its so nice being able to come back to this convenient location.Thank the UPS Gods that that miserable animal Karl is no longer there (I posted previously about how he insulted me with horrific lewd language and cursed at me to the point where I called corporate. They even heard him insulting me while on the phone and I filed a police report on him).HOWEVER I gladly retract my negative review and share that this store is now safe to visit again!!! Hooray!!!

ATTN: NEW OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT!I visited the UPS store yesterday and had an excellent experience. I was born and raised in Maywood and therefore I care a lot about the business on West Pleasant Ave. This store has new owners who clearly care about treating people with kindness and respect. I received very quick and excellent service. The store looked renovated and up-to-date.

I understand why this location has so many negative reviews. The counter person/owner is consistently rude, no greeting, no thank you, no courtesy or no reply when you greet or thank him. It’s sad not sure what the chip on his shoulder is but from other reviews I see I’m not the only one who experienced this. He does have his favorite customers who he does interact well with and it makes you wonder what did they do to get him to open up. If you are in the public business of service at least be somewhat cordial to all. If you enjoy rude treatment go here.

This is the worst UPS store I have ever been to. I was totally surprised that the rude and unprofessional employee is actually the owner. No wonder this store has one and a half stars. His claim to good service is that he has been there 13 years. What a piece of work he is!!! I am in the service business and this man has no idea how to run a business and I can’t see him ever being successful. Don’t waste your time going here. Give your business to someone else.

I genuinely wish I could give this place ZERO stars. The man I spoke with is the rudest person I’ve ever interacted with in my life. Literally ever. He shouted at me to tape up my package before he would scan my barcode. I told him not to yell at me. He shouted back, “I’M NOT YELLING.” And then refused to accept my package. He would not even provide the service his store exists to provide. He also called me names that I won’t type out as I left the store. Hands down, the worst customer experience of my life.

Just for perspective, I read some of these negative reviews and thought maybe I’d better go to the store in Hackensack. But I decided to go here with my Amazon return. There were several people in line ahead of me and I was expecting a bit of a wait. But the guy at the counter was very quick and efficient and I was in and out of there in no time. The help wasn’t necessarily gushing with graciousness, but he was certainly sufficiently courteous. Maybe they’re learning from the reviews? I only left off one star because, maybe, and I’m saying just maybe, he could’ve been a tad sunnier in his disposition (so could we all), but he certainly wasn’t at all unpleasant, and he got the job done pronto which is really all that mattered.

Update. Revisited the store. What a difference! So glad that I don’t have to go to store in Lodi anymore! Good luck to the new owner!just came back from this store and the guy, not sure he the owner/manager/worker, was really rude to me. That is not the first time that he was really rude. I asked him why he is so rude and he didn’t think he is. He actually said ‘ if you don’t like how I treated you, why you keep coming back”. I went to this store because it is close to my house. Stay away from this store. Corporate is aware of how rude this guy is: If only I can give this guy that runs the place zero stars I would. I had a label printed out and said it would be ready by 10am the next day. 1:00pm it’s not ready and says he will not print it to my boyfriend. They get into an argument because my boyfriend told him he has a bad attitude and left. I then call to see what the problem was and asked when will it be ready since it’s a paid for document And I’ll pick it up myself. He yells at me and says I’m not doing it, print it yourself and hangs up. I call back to see why I’m being hung up on because you know, if you’re customer service that’s something you just don’t do... he doesn’t pick up the phone. luckily the UPS store in Oradell printed the label at no charge and was very helpful. Go to the UPS store in Oradell to save you the trouble. I should’ve dealt with them many times in the past and always had a pleasant experience.

I have to say I dread coming to this ups to even drop something off. The main guy working here is miserable person, never friendly, always angry and has an attitude. He hides all the necessities you need to ship your items that ups provides their customers for free. You have to ask him and have your things with you. He’s not helpful at all. I also wish I can give zero stars. The owner is probably one of the most unprofessional and rudest person I’ve ever met. I’ve seen him be rude to others before, but today it was aimed at me. After placing my package on the scale, the shipping label was turned faced down, he said with an attitude turn it over. I asked him why are you always so rude to people, he said to me “you don’t have to come here” and went on spiel about not caring for my business and bragged about the fact that he’s been 13 years. I said to him “your right, I’m never coming back here”. It’s unfortunate because this is the closest UPS store to where I live and I always have boxes to ship, but there is no way I should have to put with that. As I was leaving another patron said his wife had just got into an argument with the same gentleman about his rudeness the day before. Just can’t wrap my head around a business owner that can be so nasty to his customers and think it’s ok. Hopefully headquarters can get involved and do something.

I rarely write reviews for businesses but this one was definitely earned. I’ve visited this location several times because of the proximity to my home. I will never visit again. The service is terrible. One person who is often the one working the counter is incredibly rude. He is very condescending and short with customers. I’ve witnessed it with several customer on different occasions. The other person I’ve seen working there isn’t much better. If you need ups services, please go to the Hackensack location. They located 5-7 mins away right off Rt 17 south. Great customer service. Not like this location.

And also he scanned bar code already I told him void. He didnt. I went to other ups store they said I dont need extra package, so they took my item for return. Ive been going there for two years. No problem at all. I even rent a box with them. Sometimes the agent is doing every task by himself. Hope you go there prepare to send your package not to be pathetically looking for love or affection while people are working. Time is money in America. Shake it off not to keep bringing down people investment. Whoever is the owner also had bills to pay, even children to feed. Remember what goes around, comes around. Two years with them no problem. Im prepared and it always takes me five minutes to take care of my stuff because i come prepared and Im looking for services 😀 not love😍. Therefore Customer service is good enough.

I will not be returning to this UPS store other than to drop off already labeled packages.They will not get another penny out of me because while I actually dont mind the owner he has another guy working there who thinks its acceptable not to disclose fees/rates upfront. They literally try to rob you blind and charge you crazy prices for every little thing. My advice is either go to the post office or find a UPS store with honest business practices. I am beyond disappointed because I try to support businesses in town and I noticed this during my last visit and let it slide but no more. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Let me star by saying that I recently moved to Maywood about a year ago and found this town extraordinary great to raise your family. But this Asian guy is very disrespectful and rude that doesn’t care at all about customer service. He owns his franchise and feel he can treat anyone the way he wants. This store is terrible!!!!!! I spent like half a work shift at this store...unbelievable!!!!! The customer service the guy has is horrible with all his sarcastic comments. He’s lucky I didn’t punch his lights out! There’s a fee to print(which is fine) but he couldn’t figure out how to print the labels. I had to figure things out myself after like 20 mins. Then also had to purchase tape as well! Finally advises that you can’t make purchase w/debit card less than $10. I just so happened to have cash on me. Over all it was a terrible experience! This is my first review ever I don’t write reviews but had to warn people from my experience!

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. This was my first time at a UPS Store and I was unsure if I could drop off my prepaid package or if I had to wait in line (USPS lets you just drop it on the side). After waiting for a couple minutes I ask the guy working if I can just drop it off, but before I can finish he cuts me off very rudely and tells me that he’s in the middle of a transaction. Sorry for the long-ish review but this needs to be made public. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This store was in horrific shape too! It looked as though they were in the middle of moving but nope they weren’t. Carpet was torn out of the ground, leaves were everywhere in the store, and the condition of the whole store was just plain out ugly. Associates weren’t wearing name tags & dressed wayyyyy too casual for my sense.....I’ve been to several The UPS Stores up and down the east coast and I’ve always been greeted as I walk through the door and I feel welcomed doing business. But this Asian man behind the counter was SOOOO RUDE! It was unreal how he was answering people’s questions or treating them as I was waiting in line. The printing skills were not there at all! The computer he had out front wasn’t connected to the printers outside whatsoever and he had me email my documents so that he could print it from the back office computer, but he still could figure that out for at least 20-30 minutes.I know The UPS Stores are independently owned and operated but I seriously think that this guy’s Franchise Agreement needs to be pulled. Or at least have someone from Corporate office look/inspect this store more often!

The slender, bald employee lacks complete customer service etiquette and professionalism. It appears to me that the employee comes first, as opposed to the inverse. Ive visited the store several times since I live 8 city blocks away. The same person has the same attitude (I. E. rude), and doesnt have a clue on how to properly communicate. The management staff at this place need some basic customer service/common sense classes. I go to this place often as this is the nearest. I went there right before Christmas and both my packages were labeled and ready to be shipped. I just needed a like two pieces of may be 2 inches of tapes as I forgot to seal boxes form the middle. Some young Asian guy at the register tells me that I need to buy a roll of tape. At first I thought he was joking, but he was not. These Asian folks to need to go and visit UPS located @ 297 Kinderkamack Rd Ste 101, Oradell, NJ 0764 store and check out their customer service and while at it learn something from there.

I would give zero stars if I could. Shipped an item Next Day Air morning delivery on Saturday. I just simply asked the manager what I needed to do to ensure that my package got there by Monday (only from NJ to NYC) and he said Next Day Air. Instead I found out that it would be days late, according to my tracker later that evening and customer service said there was nothing to be done. Paid $40 for the equivalent of $9 in services. Inept, worthless, and incompetent.

I’m reporting this location to have it shut down. I sent my package to this store and it was never shipped. It was an Amazon return and Amazon also has reported this store as well. I dropped the package off May 9th at 1:07 so it should have been shipped later that evening if not the next day. Amazon still doesn’t have the package but was kind enough to process my refund.

What a horrible experience. The fact that the asian gentleman is considerably rude and lacks any hint of customer service, isnt a show stopper per se. However, they are responsible for the loss of a valuable object that took several months to get resolved, no thanks to this UPS store. In fact that was part of the problem, since UPS corporate and UPS stores are completely out of synch on a number of ways, which contributed to the mayhem. They charge a fortune, they have no communication/cust svc skills and dont interact well with the real UPS when you need it most.

My fiancée just went to this place to ship some books. She had packaged them in a FedEx box, but was told that she could not ship via UPS with a FedEx Box. He charged her $9.75 for a 24x18x6 box and a $3.50 for a packing fee.Ive shipped a tremendous amount of stuff via both FedEx and UPS with no issue interchanging boxes...I called UPS to confirm that you can infact ship with a FedEx box, as long as previous shipping labels are crossed out, or covered.I then called this UPS store and asked if I could ship with a FedEx box, and he initially said no, but then changed his mind and said if you cross out the FedEx part.This guy was clearly taking advantage of someone to make a buck.Look at all the other reviews... clearly this place is a sham.

I asked for an envelope, he made me buy a packet for $5. I go to Ridgewood or Oradell UPS stores and they give me envelopes for free and are nice about it. Really miserable place! I read other reviews and thought people were being too hard on them. I have only used them to drop off packages and envelopes that were prepaid. The people there were never pleasant but I did not think I was doing them any favors using them for a drop off site.Yesterday, I had to watch while the idiot behind the counter tried to fit a wheel chair in a box. It was too sad for words.I had my shipping label - but needed a UPS overnight envelope. I understand when they charge to tape and close boxes. But, they do not have any overnight envelopes - UPS provides them for FREE! But these clowns will only sell envelopes.I went to the Hackensack location the next day and they had plenty of envelopes. I dont know why these people are in business. They are unpleasant to everyone. Who would want to go there?!
