Recently my water pump started leaking and while Monro’s couldn’t fix it at their garage they directed me to one who could and even gave me a ride back to my home. I have brought my car to their garage a few times before this and they always helped me and gave me the best price!

I had called 3 tire shops to get a leaking tire fixed that a previous shop was unable to find.( I am 9 months pregnant and had a tire that would leak until it was flat and no one that could fix it) No one could squeeze me in. I called Monro and they were very kind and said they would fit me in when I came. When I got there they immediately took my car in and fixed the tire. They also reset my tire sensors and replaced the valve cap the previous shop I had been to failed to do. The staff was extremely kind despite being very busy. I am highly appreciative of them making my car safe again.

Ripped me off for over $1200.00 without fixing my problem. Technicians and Asst. Manager were GUESSING, taking expensive shots in the dark without knowing how to fix my problem. I will NEVER RETURN to this rip off shop.

My wife and I were driving to Linesville to Meadville when we noticed something dragging beneath our car. We pulled into Monro on a Friday night, half and hour before Monro closed, without even calling ahead. No appointment. No heads up. (Not very thoughtful on my part) I asked if someone could simply look at the dragging part, tell me what it was, and what I needed to do to fix it. Instead, without even looking under the car, the man willingly put the car on a lift, and promptly fixed the problem. When he was done, he pulled the car out of the garage, and said I was good to go. I offered to pay, but he said dont worry about it. It was a ten minute fix, but I still expected to pay the hourly wage. Whoever you are, thank you for your kindness. I am very impressed and will be bringing business your way.

Always courteous. Great workers. Get any job done in a reasonable amount of time. More than willing to fix emergency flat tires. Identifies problems and explains what is going on and if its still acceptable.

My check engine light came on right around the same time I needed to get an oil change. I figured I could have them read the code and braced myself for the worst. William was great from the moment I called to schedule the service to the moment I checked out. Turns out I was low on coolant. They topped it off and looked for a leak but couldnt find one then advised me to keep an eye on it. Couldnt be happier with their honesty.

If I could give negative stars I would. A few months ago our car broke down and we towed it here. They said it was our alternator and battery, which they had replaced 2 years prior. So we decided it’s not worth fixing and sold it for parts. Later we found out that Monro bought the alternator through autozone and it had a life time warranty. We were going to try to replace the part with the warranty for the new alternator but autozone said that Monro bought it and put it under their name so only they can claim the warranty. After confronting them about this they denied this. They just wanted us to pay them for the new part and the labor. Don’t trust a single thing these people say. After reviewing it was found they’ve done this to us multiple times. Never going to these people again.

I will never recommend anyone but Monro. I had a flat tire and various other tire issues driving home from Erie to Pittsburgh. I came in and they treated me just like family. Steve, one of the workers, could not have been nicer or more helpful. They took care of my car and they were the reason I was able to make it home for Thanksgiving. They are truly the kindest individuals I’ve ever encountered. You will never need to go anywhere but Monroe. If I could give them 10/5 stars I would!Thank you Monro for all of your incredibly kind help! I will definitely be back!

I got a tire put on my car here and they put it on wrong. My car cant move without the tire grinding and smoking and when i took it back he said it wasnt anything he could have done...

The mechanics and technicians at Monroe are very skilled and personable and it comes as no surprise that they run a quality, stand-up business. I took my car in this morning for a routine yearly inspection and I was almost certain it would fail. Sure enough it failed for most of the reasons I had figured it would but I was pleasantly surprised when the mechanic invited me into the bay to show me how and why it failed. If this is normal practice in most garages in this area its the first time Ive experienced it and Ive been a car owner for over 15 years now. In any case, I would have rated this business 5 stars but for the cost of labor which frankly didnt shock me but was still annoying enough to deduct a star.

I was quoted a price of $492 on the phone but was handed a bill for $682 when the work was done. Add on for tire disposal and tpms service etc etc. My TPMS light is on after leaving. BUYER BEWARE. I gave 1 star only because zero stars isnt an option.

Im disappointed with my last experience. Ive been a customer for awhile...took my vehicle in for inspection. I needed 2 front tires and they installed them. The next day I noticed that the wheel center caps were missing so I called and asked if they had them. Without even looking they said no we dont. I then noticed that the caps for the air nozzles were also missing but theres no point in calling again...I now have to replace these items. I have always recommended this place but I wont be going back again.

They are very kind mechanics who have always tried to help me, even when it was last minute. They still took me in and fixed the problem right then and there, for very little to no charge. They are willing to work with you to help you with your problem and I love going to them as much as Im sure they love me bringing them coffee and donuts!

I was traveling back to Pittsburgh from New York and realized I was getting a flat tire! So I looked up tire shops near where I was and this was one of the only shops still open on a Sunday and it was Christmas Eve-Eve. I showed up asking if they could repair it. About a half an hour later it was all fixed up and I went to go pay for it but he told me I was good to go and to have a merry Christmas. I was so grateful that they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule and just help me out of the kindness of their hearts. It reminded me that there still are good people in this world and I will for sure remember this shop if I am ever in the Meadville area again! Thank you guys at Monro so very much!

These guys are straight up liars. I went in for a pre inspection in September and they said everything looked good, Id only need 2 tires. 2 weeks later I went in for my inspection and they told me my tires were fine but I needed $1500-2000 of work done on my back end to pass. Its impossible that what they were telling me occurred in 2 weeks time. They had no explanation for why they didnt see it two prior. The guy told me he needed to call around for prices he needed on the parts and hed get back to me the following week. He never called me back! Just one lie after another. I went for a second opinion at a local garage and they said there was nothing even wrong with my back end to pass inspection. I will never go back here again. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I ALWAYS go to Monro for all my auto needs... Byron and Chris take care of them all well beyond my expectations and in a timely manner... They always share my sense of urgency while making sure to give my car problems the time and attention it takes to do the job right... Very satisfied with the care and services I receive here!!!

They draw you in with cheap oil changes and other small services, but when it came time to get my vehicle inspected, they tried saying that my car needed $1500 worth of work. Took it to another mechanic and it turned out that nothing was wrong.

MONRO installed two tires sequentially in the right front of my Prius. When the first went flat, they said it was vandalism. When the second went flat two days after they installed it, the repair person from Hunt’s in Ohio examined it carefully and said it seemed to be a faulty or dirty seam that was leaking air, or a leaking TPS. MONRO also failed to reset the TPS. When I went back to MONRO, they blamed it on me and refused to take any responsibility for their shoddy work. I am calling corporate MONRO and TireRack to suggest they remove MONRO from their recommended installers.

My daughter stopped in with a low tire pressure issue on her way to Pittsburgh. Byron was so wonderful with her. He checked it out, removed the nail and patched it. She was back on her way in less than an hour!! Thank you for your kindness!

Not my typical morning! Woke to a flat tire & dead battery at a overnight stay in Conneaut lake ! AAA jumped the car & put donut spare on! After my 1-star review, I was told to contact customer service at a number listed in the response. Obviously Monro doesnt care or they would call me back. I have left numerous messages at the toll-free number provided by a Theresa for over a month with no call back. I deleted the original reason for my 1-star rating. So here it is...April 20, 2019 I took my car to Monro because I noticed a nail in my tire and the tire light was on and the tire was soft. The service people said it was just a tack and didnt go through the tire. However, my TPMS was leaking. I inquired about price...and I refused to pay. I was open to the rebuild. Never saw a paper copy of how much it would cost...Never signed off on any work. They forced the TPMS apart stripping it and ruining the part. The guy admitted it was his fault it broke/became damaged and non-usable. They replaced the part free of charge after I refused to due to them breaking it (he thought the part would strip somewhere else). After a couple hours, I noticed the low tire light was still on. I called and the person said it may take a couple of days to sync with my cars system, if not bring it in and they will fix it. I ended up taking it back in...they said their part isnt going to work with my car and I have to take it to my dealer to get the part replaced out of my pocket....mind you for something they damaged. I called the main customer service number and they basically called me a liar because the Meadville branch had never created a service report for this which I was unaware of. When I called Meadville Monro and said that there wasnt a service report, etc. they replied, they replaced the TPMS to help me out/as a favor. Now its up to me to spend up to $200 to have it fixed right. I just love how Meadville violated Monros policies and left me with a hefty bill. And I have been trying to contact Theresa at the number that was left to deal with this in a civil manner but she wont call me back. No emails have been returned and the call center doesnt believe me due to the shadiness of the stunt pulled at Meadville. So hopefully, if Theresa from customer relations is reading this...maybe she will finally return my phone call.

Wrong diagnosis on my cars brakes caused me much more in emergency repairs...not to mention risking an accident. Their corporate office was no help...said they would look into the Meadville store but didnt offer me any compensation for their negligence.

Just took our car to another mechanic after having used Monro for several oil changes in a row. According to the mechanic, someone has been resetting our numbers without actually changing anything - in a week our motor would have blown up. Black and sludgy and down quite a bit - but we just took it to Monro last month? Shady...

All they didnt give me an oil change they didnt look at anything else they didnt check my tires they dont check my shocks the muffler and it was supposed to be a visual check

The best service Ive ever had at any chain automotive shop. Was charged any less than the usual costs of service and they even stayed over the clock to help me out.

This place was absolutely wonderful when my car broke down while I was traveling for a vacation. It was 6:00 on a Friday night and they waited until I could get there. I so much appreciate how knowledgeable and helpful they were.

Monro Auto is straight up SCAMMING people who don’t know any better. My girlfriend and I stopped to get a quick oil change about a week ago on her car and all was good and we were about to walk out when the counter guy told us they did a “courtesy” inspection(that no one asked for nor were we informed that this would be done). They had pulled her tires off and the guy said she badly needed rear brakes and rotors because her brake pads had worn all the way down to the metal and are about to rub on the rotors.(why are her tires being pulled off when she was getting an oil change? Last I checked the oil pan and oil filter arent behind the tire???) They recommended we get the brakes and rotors changed ASAP and offered to schedule us in immediately. I thought it was weird at the time because she just replaced all brakes about 4 months ago. Then they told me it would be $350 for rear pads and rotors. Having worked in a mechanic shop for 7 years doing billing I knew that was a ridiculously high price when the parts cost about $100 at most. Then I had my buddy get me the parts into his shop and he was going to change them out for her for $150(not $350 like monro quoted) but he got the tires pulled off and all the brakes on her car still have 10/32 left. EVERY SINGLE pad on her car is still at 10/32. Then my buddy proceeded to tell me that her left front wheel bearing is totally shot and she has two tie rod ends totally shot. So monro somehow told us she needed brakes and rotors on the rear of her of her car which was just a total LIE and they overlooked some of the most crucial parts of a “courtesy” inspection. I wouldn’t want my worst enemy going into this place. They are a big corporation just trying to beat last years quota by screwing innocent people over. Don’t ever go here unless you want scammed and ripped off!!! I would give negative stars if I could and two thumbs down to these guys. Try making money honestly you bums.

I can not say enough about this establishment! Yesterday, my 19 year old daughter was traveling home from Pittsburgh, PA (on college break) to Rochester NY and she had a flat tire on I79 a few miles after the Meadeville exit. OnStar responded quickly with a tow truck to assist her in putting on the spare “donut” tire. With the guidelines of not driving over 50mph and only driving 70 miles on this type of tire I was in a panic as to what my daughter was going to do since she was still about 4 hours away from home. As I researched tire places within close proximity and that were going to be open for awhile as it was already almost 4:00 pm on a Friday I came across this one. I called and talked to a very kind gentleman on the phone who seemed to sense my panic/worry told me to have her come in and he would be sure to squeeze her in. Well, he did just that! My daughter has told me that the entire experience at Monro Muffler in Meadeville PA was wonderful. She was in and out within 45 minutes with the tire repaired and replaced on the car. She phoned me as she got on her way again and told me that it was “free”! I told her “I am sure it wasn’t you probably just left without paying!” Early the next morning I called back willing to give a credit card number over the phone to cover the charge and was told “ We are all set! Glad we could help”! Wow!! How often do you offer a credit number and it’s not taken??? NEVER! I just want to give a huge SHOUT OUT to this establishment so that anyone in that area knows that if you choose to take your vehicle there you will be treated with respect, kindness and professionalism! I wish we lived closer because they would become my “go to” but a 4 1/2 hour road trip for some vehicle work probably doesn’t make the most sense lol but I hope that by reading this review those living close by will give them a try! Courtesy to customers, answers questions, explains problems with my car. Dropping in with no appointment was not a problem.

I took my car in to be inspected. They called to tell me what it would need to pass there was a list of four major things they said I would need to have done. I explained to them I just had my front end completely redone just over a month ago. Once I told them I have a bill from another shop for replacing everything they said I needed and more Monroe’s story changed and they said they would just need to tighten a few things and added rear brakes to the list. They said they would tighten what was loose at no cost and it would be $435 for rear brakes and rotors. I told them my hubby would takes care of the brakes. When we arrived to pick up the car they decided not to tighten the stuff they told me they would and were rude when I asked what happened to them tightening the stuff..the entire situation seemed super shady and I feel as though they were trying to take advantage of me. I will never go back and if someone asks for a good shop I’ll make sure to tell them to avoid Monroe ! ****edit I’ve tried calling the number given and left three messages no return call email nothing . So much for your customer service !

Meadville Monro helped me out big time in a pinch when I had a belt break on a tire. In and out in under an hour with no appointment.

When our car broke down on the way to California we had the idea it was a muffler problem. Monro Meadville came up as the closest place to look at issues like these, and the next morning, when I called at 7:30, they were able to help me at 8:00. At 9:00 I had a new muffler, and they replaced one tire that clearly wouldnt have made it all the way. They insisted on showing the problems with the muffler as well as with the tire, and when asked about other things that might be wrong, they indicated that only these repairs were necessary for the trip. The people were very friendly and fast.
