Beautiful modern, woody with metal, coffee shop design! The ambiance and spaciousness is worth coming to this coffee shop alone!I got the avocado toast. It wasn’t particularly different taste from other avocado toast out there, but still was well put together, and over a very thick bread. Avocado toast was ~8+.Edited review: monday 2:50pm no seats inside! Waited 15min for bar table. When gets cold, may be a problem.
Fabulous! My last day in California and I popped in to grab a latte and to work a bit. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this place days earlier! By far the best latte in town (even in neighboring towns!) the staff was amazing, loved the vibe of the crowd and great work space. This will definitely be my “go to” spot every time I am visiting my daughter! Highly recommend!!!
I went to this place with my real estate agent for a business meeting. Their untrained, disrespectful, rude and aggressive employees almost attacked us because we did not have our masks on. Also, one of their employees came up to our table, filled with rage and anger in his face and told us that he refunded our money and that we had to leave the store. We said no because he had no right to issue a refund without our consent. So, the situation escalated and he ended up calling the police on us without even asking the manager in charge. He literally took the initiative upon himself to waste our public emergency services precious time. In addition, another young male employee came up to us, took off his face mask and taunted us: Whats up bro? in a slang and patronizing manner. Such a horrible experience we had. I will make sure to tell everyone I know and also I will make sure every responsible entity will know about my horrible and disgusting experience as a consumer. This place does not even deserve 1 star. Shame on who employs these demoralizing and entitled kids. Make sure you do not get attacked by the employees since they seem to be very ready to verbally and physically hurt the paying customers.
Great place to grab coffee and break or lunch, do some work, and enjoy the atmosphere. The downside is finding parking and sometimes finding a table although there’s generally one available outside. The large community tables are great to get your work mode on if your the type of person that likes working around people.
Stopped by after a doc’s appointment and was immediately impressed with the modern outside. Inside was as modern and very spacious, with many indoor seating options, as well as ample space outdoors. Brian, at the counter, helped me decide my lunch and I ordered a delicious paleo bowl, minus the chicken. The food was so delicious and on point that I didn’t miss the chicken one bit! Ordered their fresh and delicious Mocha on the side. Loved how it came in a ”normal” 8 oz size option and wasn’t cloyingly sweet (unlike a famous coffee chain). Took a house-baked lemon cookie for the drive back home. Would love to stop by again sometime!
Really cool vibe cafe who carry their own roasted beans. They do vertical sourcing from farmer to consumer. Lots of outdoor seating and open windows that ensure air flow for indoor seating.Got a 12oz latte and it was unfortunately a tad colder than standard. Will check back another time for round 2. They also carry pastries and giant chocolate chip cookie. Giant - like 8-inch cookie 🍪
Food and coffee are top notch. Love the avocado toast. Espresso drinks are crafted nicely. Can get very busy in the morning making seating difficult to find - I hope they keep the expanded outdoor seating area!
Baristas are so nice and the coffee is lovely.
I am in awe of Kate...would love to take her out on a dinner
First time visiting and I was blown away by the amazing space and how large and accommodating it felt to come to this place. Tried a pour over in a personal cup and my friend tried their seasonal chocolate mocha. Both were tasty and well prepared.Off street parking is abundant and seems to be shared with a few businesses. WiFi was a bit slow and am not sure if it was just because of the crowd was there. Coffeebar was quite full of people, but my friend and I were able to find a spot. There’s a lot of seating but many people were either studying or families hanging out. There are tables dedicated to all kind of experiences from sofa like seating to coffee shop seating to large study tables and booths too.Coffeebar also had some food selection but due to the hours, I wasn’t able to try some of their dishes. You pay a premium for the location and ambiance through the food and coffee, but is what you expect to enjoy this place. Recommended esp. for a good convo or to hang out and read or study.Update. Still as cool of a space but definitely packed in the afternoon. I think many know of this place and so lots of people show up. Recommended.
It was really a great taste coffee indeed. Very kind staff and well organized goods.
It was a Sunday and there was a car show right outside so it was pretty busy but well worth the wait. The look at the place is amazing and my iced vanilla latte and avocado toast hit the spot. Latte wasnt too sweet, just right and the avocado toast was a fat piece that left you satiated fo sho. Highly recommend if youre looking for something other than the local Starbucks.
Delicious coffee and amazing snacks. Try the gluten-free brownies! Their first shop near Tahoe has a much bigger selection of baked goods, in case youre out that way...
This is the best coffee place ever. All the baristas and staff are so friendly to the point that not only they know the names of the customers but their order as well. You need to go there to see it for yourself!!
First time coming here and they had good customer service and coffee was also good.
Love the matcha latte. First tried this place in Truckee and was excited to see one open nearer to me. Cool space, too!
Breakfast options lack creativity for such good coffee and space. Disappointing panini and croissant.
I literally drive from San Francisco to come here. The food is great, seating nice, and the vibe awesome. Need to take off 1 star for poor wifi however :( Had to tether to get anything done
Lovely interior and good seating but the wifi did not work for me
Espresso came out just right. Unsure what beans they use but neither bitter nor sweet. Default is single shot for $3.50 which is too expensive. Waited about 5-10 minutes at 11am on a Wednesday.
Beautiful shop, great drinks, and friendly staff. The internet is very choppy and when asked for assistance, employees had no choice but just said keep trying to connect (not putting it on the staff but the owner to get this issue fixed).
Great staff working there. My only feedback is that I wish they made the coffee drinks hotter.
Nice coffee shop. You can sit inside again. Hours are a little funny. They close at 5pm on Saturday. They have tables, booths, and bar setting.
Beautiful inside and out and lots of seating: bar, outdoor, comfy booths, long wood tables great for working, and lounge chairs for conversation. Pour over is excellent. Prices are comparable to the Blue Bottles and such, fyi. Menu has a great selection of tea lattes (including lavender and matcha), so Im excited to return and try these! Excited for the long hours after soft opening; this is sure to become a staple in the Menlo community.
Place has character.Good music, decor, coffee, and tea.☕ 🍵 🎶
Great coffee and plenty of space to hangout
[Covid update] limited seating inside, most people that come here are respectful and mindful of social distance. The staff are awesome as always and service is usually speedy, helpful when it comes to my thousand questions like whats your unsweetened dairy free milk?Food portions are small, coffee are well roasted and tasty.✭✭✭✭✭ Overview: bright and bustling throughout the morning, a good choices for breakfast and lunch, vegetarian friendly and different selection of seating from window seats, to booths and communal tables.✭✭✭✭✭ Location: within 10 minutes walk from the Menlo Park Caltrain Station, its hidden in the alley keeping it away from the main stream traffic of El Camino.✭✭✭✭✭ Ambience: modern and chill. A variety of interior design choices from vintage looks with the booth, with modern industrial look made of cement flooring and wood paneled walls. Love the different seating choices.✭✭✭✭✩ F&B: coffee & cappuccino well prepared. I tried the oats which was a new combination of goji berries with almonds. The oats were a bit watery and the almonds tasted slightly overly sweet; still the portion was good and waiting time was great. Much better was for lunch when I had the bowl. Much smaller that I expected the ingredients were fresh and beautifully dressed.✭✭✭✭✭ Service: friendly, they even refilled black coffee of an old grandpa for free!Wi-Fi: stable for 90minutes.Big tables: available but come in early to grab a seatOutlets: few sporadic ones: found one near the windows and in between the booths.Noise level: lounge music that doesnt hinder from business conversations or chit chat with your friends.Cleanliness: mostly clean, bathrooms were ok.
Excellent service, super smooth latte, tasty energy bite, laid back cozy vibe!! I bet their food is great too. 1st timer & will return for sure every time im in the area visiting clients. 10 star performance.😊
Okayish coffee. Go checkout them insane pieces of motored engineering Marvels in the parking lot.
Pricey? Yes. Busy? Yes. With good reason? Without a doubt. The staff here are kind, helpful, and informative. The atmosphere is classy but chill, with a variety of seating options (two bars, small tables tucked away and out in the open, a communal table, boothes -- many with outlets nearby). And the fare? Perfectly brewed drinks, mouthwatering sandwiches and crunchy croissants. A lovely place to treat yourself and a friend.
The best matcha in town. Really like it, especially with oat milk. However, recently unable to order from square. Communicated this issue to the staff several time, but seems to be the same. Second thing is always have to ask for a hot drink, if I don’t, the temperature will be tepid. Third, it is a hit or miss when they add agave. This is the ingredient you guys claim to have in this particular drink, please follow the recipe. Hope this place will be more consistent!**Update** they fixed it for me! Thank you for listening, care and your service!
Semi-chic / upscale spot for coffee, tea, and even a bite. Popular with locals. I like the keto coffee when I’m looking for something with less sugar and milk. Wish they had a little more flavor and variety on the coffee side of the menu, and wish they’d stay open past 5pm, but giving them 5 stars for putting out a lot of outdoor seating during the pandemic.
Got the lavender latte and was very disappointed, basically just flavored milk and no coffee. Their selection of pastries is good tho, I would recommend those.
Terrible matcha.1. Matcha is a grey color - clearly low quality/off2. Matcha is stored in a clear container and was left open (matcha quickly oxidizes if left in an unsealed container and goes bad if exposed to light)3. Tastes terrible - matcha tastes fishy - this is often the case with matcha that has gone off
Everything is good. But WiFi is not work⛈
Updated 5/15/2021: Hands down my favorite coffee spot, still, post pandemic. What a great team, solid espresso, and overall mission that is consistent with all their chains. I still frequent the Gibraltar and seasonal drinks! I do miss the espresso millionaire bars!Updated 7/15/2019: Still popping! Drinks are definitely still solid. The baked goods are a hit, can definitely tell they are not mass produced.Soft opening review! Coffee vibe from the Tahoe, Reno, Truckee area. Staff was very friendly, and coffee quality is on point. Although there was a bit of miscommunication with my order (me partial to blame in my non caffeinated state, yikes!) the overall experience was nice.Gibraltar/Cortado was smooth. I appreciate how Coffeebar is putting in efforts to be eco friendly, including baking their muffins naked styled, raw linguine for stir sticks, and a $0.30 discount for BYOC. Way to be green!!Lots of good study space and socializing areas. Outlet plugs are a hot commodity, but with the 3 hour parking limit from 9am-6pm, you should probably be getting up to move around every now and then.I arrived at 0720 with a handful of folks in the space. By 0900, it was bustling, with a large line and full tables. Bathrooms do need a bit of checking in every now and then, and the music volume can be a tad loud, but nothing out of the ordinary.Excited to see their improvements and full hours and offerings. I am looking forward to the next visit!
Best coffee and a great place to work.
Great trendy coffee place in Menlo Park
Great cafe and quick service.
Well organized for COVID, both indoors and outdoors. Fast service, lots of outdoor seating with plenty of space between tables. Hot chocolate could be stronger, seemed a bit watery to me.
Went here to watch the world cup because they have a huge screen. This Cafe is there times larger than a normal place, their service is good and they have a lot of coffee and tea options. The food is relatively good too and its not very heavy but it is a little overpriced. In general its a good to chill and and get some work done or go watch a game. Apparently they also serve alcohol although I didnt try it
Great staff. Been coming here since their soft opening, and glad to support them. Somewhere they know your name and your drink (oat milk mocha). Try the wine service, too. Cheers!
Small portionstastest and pastry was awesome
Cozy place and nice coffee.
One of my main spots to eat. fantastic location, well kept, and awesome service. A must try!
The turnout was good lots of expensive cars mostly The Pagani for $3 million and he wasnt even parked in the parking lot it was off to the side other than the fact that it was oh gosh almost a hundred degrees in Menlo Park yesterday it was lovely met some friends hung out for a little bit and came back home I really like going to coughing cars in Morgan Hill more kickback bigger more cars more people and everybody seems a little kinder Menlo Park even with the fires going on everybody seems just not as uptight.
Ive only gotten the house Chai latte here because its so good. Arrive early (before 9am) if you intend to work here. Spots open up occasionally but it may be hard to find something after 9:30. I love that this coffee bar exists in Menlo Park. Very cute place and will probably bring friends who visit the area in the future.
Good service, fast and friendly. Lovely drinks. Thanks
Great place to work!
Good coffee but eveb better people. Wish they were on Santa Cruz Ave inlieu of facing the parking lot. Business like this are staples for the local economy, a destination for many. Their success and traffic would of helped the main street foor traffic, essentially helping all the businesses around them. Too bad the city of Menlo Park is backasswords!
Atmosphere and coffee are great but they should fix their wifi problem. Which year are we living in?
Weirdly low rent cool
Coffee is excellent. The taste is acid free and so smooth. Food is excellent. From the pastries to the salads to the sandwiches. Clientele ranges from local police department to regular folks like me. Place is clean and has very good decorative appeal.
So happy Coffeebar expanded out to the bay from Reno. Able to get my lavendar latte fix anytime!
Love the coffee here, super friendly staff
Coffeebar knows how to do it right!!! I have loved Coffeebar since they first opened in Truckee. Ive been a loyal fan since then. We always buy all of our espresso and coffee whenever we are back in Truckee. Now we wont have to travel so far to get a new pound of espresso. Their drinks or expertly made. Their customer service is amazing. And everyone that works there is always fun to talk to. Thank you Coffeebar for always being amazing, and for opening another amazing location!
The inside is really cool and solid place to get work done. The coffee is well crafted and the food is delicious. The best part is that its all reasonably priced given what youre getting.
Coffee bar is really comfortable coffeeshop. But I always am able to work on something with focus. These two things make this spot already a 4 star. The fifth star is because the coffee is delicious, and well crafted; also the staff are welcoming, and friendly.
My boyfriend and I hit up this place specifically for his diet restrictions. The keto coffee is exactly what he needed and perfect for his diet!As he ordered that, I ordered an almond iced vanilla latte which was a mistake on my end. Im not a huge fan of almond milk, but I figured it was a healthier alternative to oat milk and I was feeling healthy after the hike hahaTo be completely honest, both of our coffees werent exactly the greatest. For those on keto/low carb diets planning to order the keto coffee, it is essentially an iced bulletproof coffee (butter/MCT oil blended in) which inevitably solidifies because its iced. Which then leaves an odd texture to the drink. But I appreciate that they offer it as a specialty drink and being considerate of those with dietary restrictions.Besides that, I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito and I really enjoyed it! I went with it in hopes to limit my meat intake and it honestly was a great choice and I ended up feeling very satisfied. The place itself was giving me Starbucks Reserve vibes - very sleek and modern interior, and they also offer outdoor seating during COVID.A bit on the pricier than your typical cup of coffee, but Im always looking for new cafes! Good to know that this is here. :-)
Great working environment, selection of drinks and snacks. Has WiFi.
Avocado toast was amazing
Incredible coffee and good cafe food. Dealing with pandemic safety well.
Very good coffees. We enjoyed.
Dream bar is surprisingly good. Nice coconut flavor, but not overpowering. I normally have to order vanilla lattes and such less sweet, but here it seems they dont overload with sugar in standard orders. Blueberry scone is fine, but not amazing.
Watery coffee served so hot it burns anything it touches
Awesome coffee, very friendly service. Their Gibraltar is the best I have had in Bay area.
