I was amazed at the service and kindness of the staff. Pat was so patient with me and let me try out any guitar and let me return the one I had bought days earlier because it was too big. Because of him Im more comfortable and its easier to practice and more fun to learn. I really appreciated it!!! They were all very knowledgeable and helpful answering all my questions. Pat deserves a raise!

These guys are an absolute blast! Im just now learning to play the guitar as I approach middle age, and the folks at Arrowhead have been unfailingly helpful, encouraging, polite, and professional with everything from initial instrument setup (stringing/tuning) to explaining different aspects of the instrument and providing resources for a beginner like me. I can only imagine theyre every bit as useful for more seasoned/experienced musicians.The shop itself is incredibly well-organized; the selection of instruments, accessories, and learning aids is excellent--and the on-site assistance is, as I have said, top of the line.One thing to note: Arrowhead hosts a variety of music instructors who are available for private, one-on-one lessons for the full gamut of musicians, from the first-day amateur to the well-traveled troubadour looking to polish up a bit. These instructors are, as far as I can tell, contractors, and their individual rates vary, but all seem pretty reasonable. I just had my first lesson with Mark, and his approach seems to be grounded in an understanding of the fundamental mechanics of guitar playing that forces the learner to get away from the idea of rocking out inside a month, and move toward an understanding of their instrument that will lead to a lifetime of learning and development--which is exactly what I was looking for.I cannot recommend Arrowhead enough. Easily one of the best things the Mentor area has going!

Wonderful place for kids to take music lessons and to get instruments for school band. My kids have taken drum and piano lessons from Jerry for years, and we wouldnt go to anyone else. He is amazing, and has turned my kids into real musicians. Even though he holds my kids accountable for practicing, they both love him!

The staff at Arrowhead Music was Awesome!!! I simply went in to find a strap connector for my sons guitar and the were a big help. They showed me a variety of options and even connected it for me. They also tuned the quitar at no extra charge! Highly recommended!

I am not a musician but I am married to one. Around Christmas, birthdays I need a little help with the surprise. I always get the direction and knowledgeable help I need when I visit or call Arrowhead

The guys at Arrow were wonderful!! They not only figured out what was wrong with our guitar but they helped us get everything fixed and found a newer better guitar for our son. The customer service was beyond expected.

Im very unhappy. Took my daughters clarinet in for cork repairs and they decided to fix other things that I never approved of. Never got a call asking if it was ok to touch other things on the instrument. I got this back with more problems than I took it in with. She cant even play it now. The parts were $10 and the labor was $40. So I basically paid $40 for him to break the clarinet. I was told when I called that they werent taking the blame. So now Im out $50 and I am going to pfabes instead. I was told by multiple people, after this happened, that I should never have went to arrowhead for repairs. Too little too late

Ive bought three instruments from here, a clarinet in the fifth grade, a saxophone in ninth, and a mandolin a year ago. Every time, the shop has been ready to answer any questions and offer service to me when I needed, sometimes free of charge, including a fix for a bent key the week before a concert. I have too many good things to say about these guys, and I would recommend anyone to stop in, especially if theyre just starting to get into music. Best customer service Ive seen.

My husband and I are from Dayton, Ohio and was visiting Mentor on business. Saw Arrowhead Music and had to stop in. Had a pleasant time. The nice man working at the store gave me a complimentary felt pick which made very happy! Tried out an Amahi Ukulele. Learned Amahi Ukuleles is a division of parent company Amati’s Fine Instruments. A Cincinnati, Ohio company. Even though the manufacturing and or parts is made in China, I am still glad to see instruments from Ohio sold in Ohio. I like The weight and sturdiness of Amahi and lots of styles to choose from. Just wish they would file down the sharpness on the frets.

Arrowhead is awesome. Friendly, helpful staff and a lot of selection for a small shop.I use some very specific guitar strings, the kind that no store stocks, and always order them in from Arrowhead. Not only do they arrive in less than a week, but the price is right on track with any internet retailer minus shipping charges---Not to mention I always leave happy due to the friendly staff.The guitar selection is low to intermediate range, and they do have interesting used gear from time to time and its always worth a look. I once found a Silvertone lap steel there and got it for a very fair price, and have seen some very nice stuff on consignment and in the back corner where they keep the high end stuff.If youre looking for a new Martin or Gibson youll have to look elsewhere, Arrowhead is just too small a shop to support the high end stuff but I think they have a few guildsAnyone looking for a first or nicer mid-range instrument would do well to check them out. Ive never looked much beyond the acoustic stuff, but I do know they have quite a collection of amps and electric guitars. Ive purchased mandolins and ukes here and every time Ive been happy.As far as school instruments and lessons, Ive never dealt with either but often see the lesson rooms packed and people at the woodwind/brass counter.Ill always recommend Arrowhead to everyone,
